Really good and underrated review. I’ve blight the non pro version and I’m not sure why I still watching reviews. Good to say I returned an Asus Claymore 2 and bought this
One question if I get this keyboard would I be able to change the keycaps and fit good ? For example some Hyperx pudding keycaps or some ducky keycaps ? Will they fit without a problem ?
@@indieangelp2017 I know this is a little late, but I put the HyperX pudding keycaps on mine and all the keys feel great except the spacebar. It doesn't actuate all the way down so it feels weird. Otherwise its great!
How do I activate the volume button/knob. It didn`t work on my vulcan 122 and now I got the vulcan tkl pro and all I can do is use the volume knob tu unmute after I press the mute button. Is there something im missing in the swarm softrare?
I am really sorry to sneak in like this but if you don't mind me just leaving something here, it would be the criticism. The whole point of these keyboards, apart from the outlook and its spec, which I believe, is the difference in performance between the optical and the mechanical switches. Here, no one never ever talks or discuss about his/her experience of the optical switch and what it "means" to them. I have been looking around for a firm statement of it rather than listening to the nature of the optical switch which is way too recycled among the reviewers today. I have the linear one but not the optical one thus the request here. I am now at the point of recklessly getting the optical one just to check it out for myself but I have too many keyboards now on my shelf. I am so frustrated here. Will you help me out please? Thanks a million.
@Will Swift Nice idea but I guess not anymore. Afterall, I bought the TKL Pro and it is my keyboard now. But interestingly, at the same time, I quit playing games and now onto long ride trip with bicycles! I guess I would have to pot in all of my keyboards!
@Will Swift There wasn't any dream afterall. It was an endless pursuing. If money is not our concern, one would probably spend time for their life. I will probably put all my stuffs behind the garage together with my memories. Thanks.
I know this is an old review now but seeing as the Pro version is out in White now i thought i'd give my two cents. Nice clean keyboard but it's sorta let down by the spring 'ping' that you get from the keys. It's very noticeable if you're not wearing headphones.
@@GadgetryTech No I was asking a question I am new to keyboards I was asking if I was to buy an optical keyboard and later on wanted to try different switches in it could I replace the optical switches for mechanical ones. ?? Thanks
The guides are excellent and the side press vs middle press is pretty much identical in terms of resistance and actuation. You shouldn't notice a difference at all. Great question!
@@reid1522 loving it! Had also got the wireless head set, which is awesome, but having issues with sound skipping alot... not sure if it is my computer or the head set.. but tried a wired head set and no issues.. it is an old computer, but after I rehook the wireless one it work fine.
I don't think you can go wrong with either tbh. The TKL looks pretty amazing in real life but the keys are more exposed underneath so you have to dust/clean the board a little bit more than you'd expect.
Me and some friends owned the vulcan, and all of us had key stroke registration issues a bit after 2 years. At this point I had to replace roughly 15 keys already and I'm not sure if I should give the vulcan pro a shot, or whether the switches are also so unreliable
Serisouly,
Reviewing these together was genius and what many people are looking for.
Thanks Brock! Glad you found it helpful.
wow underrated one of the best reviews ive ever seen!
Thanks so much Mystic!
Absolutely this is the video I’ve been looking for. Top tier review awesome work.
This was actually an amazing review compared to other reviews on these keyboards. Great job!
Thank you!

Thanks!!
Placed an order for a tkl pro, Great review!
Awesome you'll love it!
great review mate
Why is this video so underrated
Another difference: With a switch puller fixed on top/bottom the optical switches are removable. (Careful to not scratch the plate.)
very cool vidéo, great job man !
great video its nice that you make a video like this!
Excellent review. Wish I would have seen this before I ordered so I could have used your affiliate link. Next time!

I haven't tried this first hand, but saw that someone had and it still fit.
i’m wondering the same thing have you tried at all?

I got a ROCCAT Lua mouse at Fry's like 6 years ago still love it. They were bought by Turtle Beach so I might get this one.
Great thanks now waiting for discounts on both of them to decide which to buy.

Are tactile and linear switches in roccat blue and red switches?

is the pro mechanical?
Why is everybody bashing the space bar? ..... with the pointing finger... extra hard.
Is that how you type?
Adi Dassler approves.
mie is stuck on 1 color. i threw away the box. how do i change it back?
Put it in the microwave full power for 10 mins.
Can the switches on an optical key board be switched out for a mechanical switches ?
Glad it helped you!

Roccat vulcan tkl pro vs apex pro? Which one should i get?
I don't think you can go wrong with either tbh. The TKL looks pretty amazing in real life but the keys are more exposed underneath so you have to dust/clean the board a little bit more than you'd expect.
So there's not really anything that's different on the pro?
Mainly just the switches themselves and that’s it. They are smoother and faster at actuating
I ordered the regular version to test it out because i believe that PRO version isn't necessary unless you really are a pro.
@Will Swift Faster to register a key press.

do these keyboards need a wrist rest?
The profiles are very low, so while I can't speak for everyone, I found it's not necessary.
Really good review ^^ I just wanted to get this keyboard in the tactible variant but it is basically impossible to find
Stopped watching after he said linear
