  • The iPad Pro was water-damaged and then won’t turn on. With the help of the rosin dispenser, we found the short-circuited component. After removing the damaged capacitor, the fault was cleared.

      For filter type capacitor, I think can just tick it off. Can also solder back one with the same specification.

    I bought a pen like this. But it won't work at all. It was making smoke, but it wouldn't stick to the motherboard. I don't know if we should use Razin a certain brand.

    I tried this method but it does not work. I know that the problem is is in the VDD main as all the capacitors of this line are shorted. I urgently need help.

      @@AppleReviews Not really sure why they don't replace it. I heard somewhere that those tiny capacitors are connected in parallel and there is no need to replace them it will work fine. There must be some reason otherwise why would apple put an extra component.

      @@AppleReviews 8k 60 possible in iPhone? You know way more than me i admit. But I think rewa knows what they are doing. I have seen many technicians not replacing the cap. It will make a difference but i don't think that would be a blunder. It's just my assumption. I might be wrong.

      The capacitor is a filter capacitor. Just removing can solve the problem.

    At what point did the meth smoke indicate the component was shorted? Kinda glossed over that part.

      It was mentioned at around the 2:45 mark how it is supposed to detect shorts. Basically if the rosin melts or if the smoke rises and evaporates then you’ll find the source of your issue
