It's gonna be a sad day when we lose this man.
Agreed
ComiXProvider FTW_02 right I love jim Carey
The thought literally depresses me
ComiXProvider FTW_02 Sad is people already planning how would they feel when he leaves us
ComiXProvider FTW_02 delete your comment why would you bring this up

Meta genius
We have to go deeper...
It's a mind loop!! Don't get caught in it!! Just watch it from a distance or you'll get stuck in it forever.
Danny Devito sitting there very obviously uncomfortable and physically cringing over Jim taking it too far is hilarious.
After watching this you get the sense Jim has a tremendous amount of inner pain and portraying characters is his vehicle for escape.......great actor and even a greater human being
maybe that inner pain, is the feeling of emptiness, after you got evrything in this material world..the question of whats next..
@@RickySTanicky223 - That sounds just like Peter Sellers, who was a horrid as'_ole in real life - esp to his own children! Still wanna admire this "quality" in him too?? 👎🏾
He's just neurotic!

I have 2 questions:
1. who will play Jim Carrey in a movie about Jim Carrey?
2. who is Jim Carrey?
lol thats pretty good
1- Ryan gosgling..he said that in a interview
2- it's just conscience, jim carrey is dead never existed to begin with
Kian lawley would be perfect
He is a idea
Me
ALRIGHTY THEN!!!!
This is the greatest documentary that I have ever seen. Everything Jim said was inspiring and a lot gave me chills.. Thank you Jim Carrey for all that you have done.
The Great Beyond being a sort of sequel/companion song to Man on the Moon (both songs by R.E.M. and the movie being named after the song). This documentary is a companion piece to Man on the Moon.
Great allusion. also my favorite R.E.M. song
A Lonely Weeaboo you do realise the R.E.M. song is about andy kauffman so naturally the film would have that song on the soundtrack
Yes I know both songs are about Andy Kaufman. Those songs in general got me into Andy Kaufman
Some people should not be allowed to age, and Jim Carrey is one of them.
Beta MAX facts
That gave me virtual tears.
I am pretty sure Jim WANTS to die in the end. If he truly has seen everything/the truth he knows death is just the beginning.
Living forever trapped in this flesh would be absolutely hell on earth!
Man on the Moon is my all-time favorite Jim Carrey movie. It felt real when a lot of biopics don't. It was a labor of love between people that knew Andy and people who wanted his story to be told. And I am so excited to see this documentary. 💚
Too bad Carrey's performance was awful. He sounded, looked and acted nothing like Andy
Man i recomend this . The way even Jim speaks in the interview chair about it and everything and HIMSELF , its so deep . Never seen Jim so deep .
I'm literally flipping my lid
I mean, literally OK.
What does that mean ?
Well not literally... Unless you physically had a lid you were flipping at the time of said comment.
Why?
I'm literally going bananas over this comment.
I'm telling you ,this guy is trying to tell us something but i can't put my hands on it yet
lol. Aren't you the intuitive one.
Illuminati
DAEMON33 dude I agree,and i thought i was the only one
DAEMON33 they gonna kill him soon
He's trying to tell you he's crazy
I'm still so confused. I can't believe Jim Carrey did not win an Oscar for this role!
lol, i love this type of sarcasm
Who cares about the f'king oscars. I'll make up my own awards show, it's so pristegous omg omg
He didn't let harvey touch him
Because the movie isn't that great. The acting is generally really good,. Carry is phenomenal, but the film feels a little incomplete imo.
Nycto Films but you just did
The world is blessed with a comedian like him one of greatest performer of all the time
Now I'm starting to wonder if he's been trolling everybody with his antics lately as a publicity stunt for this.
exactly what I was wondering
You think?
PLANE JAIN Don't know anymore. Andy used to pull shit like that all the time. Now with the timing of this? I just don't know. Jim is that good. It could be his own marketing ploy. Who really knows anymore. Jim can be a troll.
Joaquin Phoenix did it with the rapper thing and the movie too.
for sure
This looks amazing
OPEN MIND Die Welt ist klein xD
Jo, sehr klein
....not sure why people find Andy Kaufman "funny"? Quirky, sure, funny....yawns...
First of all I wanna give a shout out to my pussy
sub to me
i was thinking this, scrolled down, and here it was
Watched this today for the first time. It was absolutely incredible, amazing, simetimes shocking. It's like this movie created it's own reality where you can't tell what is real and what is an illusion. It's that kind of magic. No matter if Jim was uncontrolable, he did it - he shifted realities, he created something that is probably can't be done again, ever.
I can’t wait for the sequel!
Name of the film?
Jim Carrey deserves a Lifetime Achievement Award for playing the role of Jim Carrey
Jim Carey is such an amazingly talented human being.
After watching this documentary, I have amazed at Andy/Tony's understanding and honouring Jim's REAL truth and fight to understand himself and just say it like it is. They're legends to me because of that from this movie and also they represented the true beauty of method acting ☺ For Jim, who has been the King of my Childhood and had brought joy and laughter to it, I am so proud of him for doing what he needs to do right now. I would rather see this side of him being honest and vulnerable as well as funny. He is teaching me so much in my young adulthood as well as making me happy when I was a child. Well Done Jim, Andy and Tony ☺
Man on the Moon is one of my fav movies of all time and this just looks so interesting.
He’s mad but he’s genius.
Melanie Anne Ahern “name 1 genius that ain’t crazy”
landey grocks that's my exact thought!
Melanie Anne Ahern He's deceived and headed for Hell
woke & alive* not mad
Nicholas Kim Hes deceived and under mind control. You dont have a clue
Looks good, but I just checked Netflix to see if I can watch Man on the Moon to refresh my memory of the film before watching the documentary and they don't have it...Why on Earth would you not have the subject film available if you are gonna release a making of doc???
Tim Wilcock because whoever runs Netflix is a dumbass
Andy Kaufmann secretly runs Netflix and is trolling us
damn good question..
Because Netflix sucks and never puts good movies up. It’s just a few box office movies that flopped and are recent, tv shows, and crappy indie films.
Netflix put up the documentary about the women that inspired GLOW up at the exact same time they released GLOW. Maybe this is the same sort of deal and they're just gonna wait until November to put it up or put it up on the same day.
Sooo he’s not actually insane, just the worlds greatest method actor.
Both
"Sound-check?! WHOAOAOAOAOAOAOAOA! It's working!"
Such a touching documentary. Learned a lot more about both Jim and Andy. I have a lot more respect for these two creative individuals.
Holy shit I wasn’t expecting this. I love Man On The Moon. Can’t wait!
Jim CARREY !!!

Yeha, this looks fucking brilliant. Can't wait to witness this shit.

If you want to know about the Strasberg method, then watch it. 😶
👌 Jim.
Damien John an Oscar for ruining his own life ? Lol
Damien John I watched it and I was really not impressed sadly. First of all Kaufman is not funny to me and secondly it seems Jim Carrey seems like a complete prick here. He pretty much bullies people who are below him as this character that arguably wasn't that funny to begin with. And I really despise that whole method acting bullshit it's so pretentious. I've kinda lost a lot of respect for Jim Carrey thanks to this documentary sadly cause I love him he's a great comedian. In the words of no bullshit " he's breaking down"
this documentary was amazing. made me love jim carrey even more. truly mind blowing and heart warming.
That is the most hilarious, touching and thoughtful thing I've ever watched
A great great film ... and the most honest you will ever see Jim in his straight-to-camera bits. Incredible.
I watched it today. It's such an amazing display of Jim as a character actor and the role that people take when being real people. I have so much more respect for Jim after it. He 150% full on became Andy on and off camera. It shows really that you hear of stories from actors on set; but actually seeing it it is so much more real than people think.
This film was so good it’s incredible to see what really happens behind these big productions. I’m also so happy to see Jim Carrey back, I have always looked up to him and he’s such a wonderful comedian. So to see him in this was eye opening but in a good way. I’ve recommended it to all my friends and family such a good film x
I want the behind the scenes on every Daniel Day-Lewis film, he's just as crazy.
Fr, also Leonardo DiCaprio 😳
This doesn't exist. I don't exist. Nothing exists. Can't wait till this comes out so we can all non-exist together.
well said.
my interest in Jim Carrey no longer exists
Thinking that because someone makes a joke about something, and then assuming they don't understand it, is an awful assumption. Just because someone doesn't take something seriously that you take seriously doesn't mean they're stupid, and if you think that, you're probably the stupid one.
nihilist much?
"I think therefore I exist" that's pretty much the one thing I do know. In some form or another I exist. I'm not so sure about you, though.
he is a genius and one of my favorite actors - this should be an Oscar! he deserved it.
This is blowing my mind right now and shedding so much light on Jim. He is making more sense to me now. Can't wait to see this!!
Andy and jim are both gods in their field. Absolute legends. There is no comedy like meta comedy as it is so much more than cheap laughs
What a beautifull human being this is. I hear a lot of people saying bad stuff about Jim but isn’t it the beauty to be your own man, to dare to think and be different then the mediocre lot of people. His message might not be understood by everyone but it’s genius’s like this that will move the world for the better.
Im glad to be amongst the generation that witnessed this man entertain us 👏👏👏
The best JOKER that we never had!
At least he played The Riddler.
@@finisher489 True
They have the interview on Netflix but not Man on the Moon?
Typical netflix, sadly.
MoahGentle you know Netflix can’t put any movie they want on their site
That documentary was something else man that’s why I love him more than just an actor but as person it’s very true what you said how we’re all gonna end up in the same place at the end it’s just a spiritual journey
Fun fact: Jim and Andy were born the same day! 😲
This was the best documentary I’ve ever watched ! Thanks Netflix thank you Jim you are a legend
Only Jim Carrey knows what he's feeling. No one has ever been in his shoes.
Same with everyone
Pretty sure everybody has their own shoes.
haha nice
That documentary was everything I hoped it to be!
I laughed so much, the level he took this to is unrivalled. Staying in character to the point people around you are exhausted
I stayed up to watch this as soon as it came out, and I just finished it. This was brilliant - this is an Andy Kaufman film - even more so than Man on the Moon. Paired with Jim Carrey being his amazingly inspiring self, this is perfect.
"I learned you can fail at what you don't love. So you might as well do what you love. There's no choice to be made." -Jim Carrey (Jim and Andy)
1:25 "I was thinking, 'How far should I take this? How far would *Andy* take it?'" :)
Brilliant !
*goosebumps* everywhere *.*
xD
...MINDBLOWN! Thought so...and extraordinary way of stepping into yourself over and over and ANY way you want to do it!
Telling you: watch this!
Saw it last night. It was great.
Very good footage and inspirational Interview of Jim Carrey. You just like it to listen to him.
If you didn't already know what a great person he is, you will after that documentary.
AMAZING!
One of Jim Carrey's finest performances and a hugely under-appreciated film.
When? When? When?
The Richest Bum read the description smart guy
The Richest Bum I
Watch it to the end, my dear, rich bum.

Jim Carrey is amazing. I love how the boundaries get blurred and he becomes the character to the extent where he is that person. I love his pure magical believe in himself. I think he has an unreal insight into life. I think he is completely coming from his spirit and he is incredibly funny and naturally witty. He never had to prove himself cause everything that happened to him happened organically cause he is so talented. I think this is a truly special documentary as it gives you an insight into the very private world of Carrey who is incredibly talented either way. I hope he creates way more stuff and writes. I think has such a pure spirit it reflects on what he is doing all the time. He is probably more famous than he ever was now he has so much material because he is doing stuff for himself now not caring what people think or maybe he just didn't care in the first place. He's a genius.
Just saw it and it was great. Changed the way I see life itself, really. Jim is pure gold.
I'm fucking speechless. Although I've known about this movie for a long time, I watched it the first time ever two weeks ago. I became obsessed and read all the trivia and even told my friends to watch it. And now Netflix will release a documentary about it. Like what a coincidence! It's like they waited for me to watch it and then release this documentary! LMFAO life is weird sometimes...
Wow my heart just broke. Am I the only one who could see the pain in his eyes during the interview ? 😢
I just saw a glimpse of a Kris Kristipherson interview that was intentionally done by Jim carrey
That was a compliment to his acting btw lol
Paul Giamatti the entire time in any scene of the documentary has a look like "what a douche im not buying this brand " lol and he ( Paul ) did win an Oscar years later btw lol
One of my favorite Jim Carrey movies....Super pumped for the documentary!!!!!
I truly love Jim Carrey no matter how dramatic or hillarious his characters are, I grew up watching his movies since I was a kid. The majestic movie was his deepest movie I've ever seen, and if you want to watch something a bit more shocking than that, have a look at the movie "Number 23", which impacted me a lot because I realized Jim isn't just great comedian.
This is one of my favourite documentaries. Definitely one of the best behind-the-scenes documentaries out there.
Love Jim Carrey! He offered us many magical and hilarious moments!
This...This man is well... HERE THIS COMES TO SAVE THE DAY!!! ...... thankyouverymuch.
Cant wait for this, jim is definitely one of my favorites of all time and a big inspiration!
Fun fact: Andy Kaufman and Jim Carrey share the same birthday!!! January 17th
Derick Wright that's really eerie...
Wow! That WAS fun!
Derick Wright Tony Clifton and Andy Kaufman also share the same birthday.
That's my Birthday!
Wow now thats creepy
I can't wait for this! I love Jim Carrey ☺
Huge Jim Carrey Fan and this looks like an amazing documentary on him! Can't wait to watch this one!
Yes! Thank You for making this! I HAVE To See This!
Poor Jim. I admire him trying to shake off the Hollywood years and find his true self, but some of the lines he comes out with in this documentary paint a picture of a very confused individual. Seems like he spent a little too much time digging within himself and analysing what life is about. The problem is that the more you look, the less it all makes sense.
Kevtb87 There is a lot of dime store philosophy going on, but he does seem sincere.
He's having a midlife crisis.
Hes probably seen more than you have though
Richard Duke the more you look the less it all makes sense.
Huh.... maybe, just maybe, thats just you xD
This comment couldn't be further from the truth
I kinda wanna see him playing Charles Manson in QT's movie.
Just another random person on the Internet u know what they haven't cast yet but looking at him now he should definitely play him
no one mind my words, looks more like Charles Manson than Joaquin Phoenix, only he can do justice to such a complex role!
The he dies a month after this post.
I don’t know of that would be a good idea. That might push him over the edge. Like the joker did to heath ledger
So excited for this. Man on the moon is one of the best films ever and Jim Carrey is an amazing actor
I'm so excited for this! I thought I was the only few who really loved Man on the Moon and his performance
I am so exited to see this.
"How far would Andy take it?"
He would take it to the moon and beyond. You did him proud, Jim Carrey. You did him proud.
I love Danny Devito and Jim Carrey. Seriously I wish them both a long and happy life
He is such an inspiring and wise person. I have a huge respect for him.
That "soundcheck" bit was funny.
I just watched this documentary. It was so freaking hilarious!
Hilarious?!
it was also very dark
peblezQ wasn't funny at all, good watch though
Clyde Coast Design it fucking was funny, if you didn't thinks this is at least supposed to be funny you are a moron
Funny how i've been watching Man on the Moon constantly lately as well as listening to Rem's music for the film, then this comes out. All i gotta say is Thank You!
A true genious. To me no one has such a special abillity and brillians to completely transform into something else. Amazing talent, amazing soul.
Carrey should have won the Oscar for that portrayal... And he wasn't even nominated!
For a good reason, too
He really didn't do that well portraying him. Alot of overacting
I don't get it. Andy doesn't really exist, neither does Jim, right?
And neither does life, this is just your dream in a simulation.
Am i subconsciously looking for these comments or is rly people starting to wake up?
They wake up all right ;)
I get no drive to live in thinking that way.
Detachment is all that is necessary and effective in order to absolve from any and all suffering--not consciously re-introducing to self that it's all meaningless, all the time, nothing means anything, etc.
At least something and at least someone out there has meaning to you, even if you try to fight it. Humans are capable of feeling so much, but above all we crave the feeling of fulfillment, and that's all I want more of in this life. That's what I live for. Moment to moment along the way, each one beholds something new. Embrace the changes before that moment is gone.
The lion is chasing me, I have my meaning!
I remember seeing Man on the Moon in theaters. Really underappreciated movie. This looks very interesting.
This is what makes Jim a great actor!
Jim Carrey is like a shaman of Hollywood.
I really still wish Jim was still acting 😓😓😓😓😓😓😓
Leon Fontius if you check his IMDB page you can see that he has two movies coming up and he seems to be a part of this new show
Angel 1234 What the new show and has he talked about maybe joining marvel or dc films
Leon Fontius his new show is called Kidding coming out in 2018 and it's directed by the director of the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind movie. It doesn't show that he's in any D.C. Or marvels movies but I wish! He'd play an awesome joker!
Sonic
Just finished watching this, really enjoyed it. I love Jim Carrey even more now.
The Great Beyond and Man on the Moon, such fantastic amazing songs
That looks even better than the movie. If you don't release this in Turkey. I'm gonna break in someone else's home and steal this. You know I am serious.
Emre Esen you can break into my home and steal it
😂😂
I enjoyed this, but so many of the people that knew Kaufman said Carrey played him well from the TV and archive footage of Andy, but all the messing about staying in character during Man On The Moon he got totally wrong as Kaufman wasn't like that 24 hours a day and was a very sweet man to everyone and actually acted very normal when not in character or doing a stunt. Jerry Lawler is interviewed in this and he said Carrey was totally off, as Kaufman was a gentleman around him and only acted when the camera was on and they both knew what he was going to do to an extent.
yeah but he was acting as the public andy not the private andy.
Yes, but the point of method acting is to stay in the character that you are portraying on the screen 100% of the time so when it’s time to film you are no longer acting, you’re just being that character.
Jim has never looked more Canadian.
Really looking forward to this.
Can't wait! Man on the Moon is one of my favorite movies.
This was fantastic, 10/10, highly recommended - if not to learn more about Jim and Andy, to learn more about who you are/were/and will be. This piece is eye opening and brain releasing into multiple dimensions of who we are as creatures flying around the sun at 6,000 miles per hour.
Oh come on. It’s just an over pretentious movie hahahaha. You must be easily impressed
Come on Teejay
Andy Kauffman looks like Krist Novoselic
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS WHO @
You mean krist looks like Andy
I watched this trailer like 10 times and had goosebumps every time!
Man, I'm so happy that this doc is coming out. I've always been fascinated by Andy since I saw that movie waaaaaay before I could understand it, it was when it came out in home video, but somehow the kind of humor there influenced me so much. I could never forget the Mighty Mouse scene. It was strange and hilarious at the same time.
Some years ago I've researched about Andy's life and I got fascinated about the parallels between his and Jim's life and all the rumours about the movie production. And they're all here now, available for us to share with Jim!
AWESOME!
