Lovely composition on your shots. Your soft-spoken, humble narration and almost shy smile are a treat. I just got my X-T5 and am still setting up and figuring out (my last camera was the film Nikon N90 so that tells you how long it's been and how much I have to learn.) I can't wait to get out there and rediscover the love of photography I had 30 years ago.
LMAO in the background, “What sponsors??” 😂 Isa, good stuff man! I love the design of the XT line. That Still/Movie dial is so useful. And my X-T4 is still kicking ass for me, but I’m stoked you’re enjoying this one!
I shot these using RAW files then edited them in LR a& Ps but I like to keep the nostalgic negative film sim to preview and get a sense of how the final image will look like!
great video, i have been thinking to buy my first camera from fuljiflim, XS20 and XT5, which one should I pick? i have no idea with the 26mp vs 40mp, is it have much difference? i mainly use for shooting landscape and for travel purpose, can you give me some advice? thanks:)
I have a Fujifilm XC 15-45. Its compact, has power zoom I am not fan of, and produces decent images along with my Fujifilm XE4. Can someone suggest if this Sigma will result in better image quality than XC 15-45, specially given the fact that Sigma doesn't have Vibration reduction and is less wider compared to Fuji ? I use the camera for street photography, just to give a better perspective of what I need the recommendation for.
I can’t say if it’s better quality that the XC15-45mm bc I’ve never owned that lens. I can say the Sigma give pretty sharp results and it’s worked out perfectly for my style of street photos. I’d recommend maybe buying one used or renting one to see if you like it!
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing your views and of course the amazing pictures! Are you using two different recipes for these images? Would you be willing to share the recipes? I know you said you're using Nostalgic Neg for the Scottsdale pictures but not sure if you're using the same for the earlier photos for Prescott and downtown Phoenix. I live in Phoenix and love to hike so I take a lot of pictures in the Superstition Mountains. Once again, thank you and I am subscribed. Keep up your good work.
Thank you for watching! Most of these photos were edited raw files. I do use recipes to kinda preview my photos, it’s mainly the portra v2 recipe on FujiXWeekly website as well as the ektar 100 one !
Great video! I love your photography style, particularly the composition and colors! Wondering if you can mention or make a video on the recipe you used for the Nostalgic Neg shots here? It looks lovely! Love from Manila
Detailed video. But what about Fuji X-T5 with Fujinon 150-600 mm. Does Sigma have this range for X T5 and how is it. Any third party lens better than Fujinon 150-600?
Great video, loved the progression and photos. Question: yours is the second video I've watched talking about the limited lenses that can take advantage of the 40 megapixel sensor... How about that Sigma 18-50, does it work for the entire sensor? I started leaning towards the Sigma after seeing that the Fuji 16-80mm also has issues with XT5.
I haven’t had any big issues with that. There’s definitely some there but with what I shoot, It doesn’t bother me much. I don’t shoot with it wide open either. Most of the time I hover around f8.
I haven’t tried it yet! Would love to! But since this channel just started out I haven’t had the privilege to have any company send me lenses to try it! Wish they would so I could bring more reviews for you all!
The one that works best for me is the Portra 400 v2 from fujixweekly but with some adjustments on the wb colors bc sometimes it’s too green for my liking.
Hi , im a huge fan your channel. Can I ask if you listen a noise coming from your camera like a fan ? not a major sound but something I noticed. Thanks for you help.
How do you deal with switching between photo and video? In my ideal scenario I would switch to movie mode and the shutter speed would be auto set to 1/48 and the iso would also be the number it was when I was last in video mode. Is that possible?
@@leonpawelzik2734 It can be as sophisticated as you want. You can actually have 7 custom setting each for video and photography. It is up to you how you set that up - it is really flexible. I set my camera up so the left DPAD button allows me to select each custom setting. Obvs it stays in the most used settings most of the time. For video I have different settings for 4K 30, 4K 60, 1080p 120 and 1080p 240 - each with the shutter speed to 2x the fps. IMHO this better than having a basic single custom dial on the top as per the X-H2 and X-H2S bodies especially as they can be named as well. In fact I had an X-H2 and when the X-T5 came out, replaced it with that as it seems a lot more user friendly to use.
Hey man nice video, I’m actually going to AZ in 2 weeks. Bringing the xt2 + sigma 18-50 2.8. Do you find any need to switch to a prime lens when you were on the trip? I have several other primes but I was wondering if I should bring them since I want to travel light. I guess I could just always throw them in a backpack but I don’t wanna be changing lenses too often in a dusty environment lol . Anyways Subbed!
I took my prime lenses too and I honestly never reached to get my 23mm 1.4 or the 27mm 2.8. I feel like the sigma just covers those focal distances very well unless you really need the 1.4 for DOF or low light. But I mainly shot over f5.6 for these shots!
I’ll see if I can make a video about it! In the meantime, our previous video about the Evergreen cases, all of the B-roll was taken with the XT5! So that may give you an idea of the video capabilities.
What recipes do you use for this effect in Fujifilm, can you write? Very good. I can't get this color and image because I just bought it. Sorry my English is a bit bad, thanks in advance. good luck to you :)
Nice video - and subscribed :) I am not sure people should be too worried about lenses not resolving to the full 40MP. Most still resolve to a lot more than the 26MP from previous versions of the cameras. In fact Fuji still sell the XT-5 with the 18-55mm as a bundle (this is what I mainly use which was taken from my previous XS-10), and honestly speaking I can't really see the difference between that and the lenses I have that are specified as resolving to 40MP, so actually the 18-55mm is the one that stays on my camera most of the time. So perhaps a bit of marketing hype from Fuji there - perhaps a case of the emperor's new clothes :)
That is true! I agree! It already offers great resolution with the older versions of their lenses so I don’t see anyone having issues with it unless they really like to zoom in that much to pixel peep!
UNFORTUNATELY, the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 DC DN lens that I purchased on 12/8/22 for my Fuji X-T5 camera developed a problem on 7/29/24 that means I can't depend upon it. Up until that time I was pleased with it for both photos & video. BUT after I had taken about 190 photon on the 29th, the aperture froze at F20 & nothing I could do resolved this. I was about 2hrs driving distance from home. Another zoom lens worked just fine on my camera when I got back home. Mysteriously, the Sigma lens now seemed to work again. BUT when I researched online, I found several other situations where Sigma lenses had similar problems. THEREFORE, I have no choice but to stop using this Sigma lens & get the Fuji XF 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8 R LM WR Lens, since I can't run the risk of having the Sigma lens fail again when I'm away from home.
Lovely composition on your shots. Your soft-spoken, humble narration and almost shy smile are a treat. hey love your video, where can I find that shutter sound, i been looking for one that matches my fuji xt4
I found it on artlist.io !
Great video! What type and level of diffusion filter do you use for the talking head? Gonna need a video set up tutorial, looks so good.
I did the diffusion in post using Resolve 18!
Nice video and where did you get those cameras their AWESOME
Thank you! I ordered it from Moment!
This video was what I exactly looking for! Does it have AF noise sound when you record a video? Thank you so much your video 🤓

Hahaha thanks man! I owe it to my wife! She gets good clothes for me 😂
