Glad to see the tips been helping you out! 🙌 Some more recommendations for you, invest in a fiber glass pen those are amazing and cheap. They help remove the solder mask so you won't have to keep using the tweezers it makes it easier. Solder mask ink in any color you want as well a little uv flashlight to help you cure the ink. Not only does it help to cosmetically look better it also helps protect the joints from all the patching up. Its also great because if theres a certain area nearby where you dont want the solder to join up you can use the uv ink in between to help keep them separated. Its almost like electrical tape but different. It's main purpose is to hide copper. Man, I'm so hyped and glad to see you've got it working again. That thrill is always worth it in the end! Especially being able to bring things back to life that look gnarly where one would presume its over. High 5!
Thank you thank you!!! I used to use fiberglass pens to clean up the edge connector pins I didn’t think to use it to scratch off the solder mask!! I will have to give that a shot!! I was going to use a little uv mask but I decided that since this board is so, so bad I might need to get back in there in the future for more repairs. I’ve never taken solder mask off but it looks like it would be difficult to do. Bro I was kinda shocked that I was able to get this game running considering just how bad it was!! 🐺🐺😁😁
@wolfmanrepairs solder mask is actually easy to remove. Just scrape away with the tweezers like you have been or an x-acto knife. Those are awesome for it. Some careful scrubbing, and it can be removed. Lol, I was wondering the whole time how it was going to turn out as well, but you did great!
