"3rd Inning: Bases Loaded: Griffey is in the one deck circle. Mike Felder, the batter ahead of him hits a single.. Run scores..
Griffey took a (A 1 - 1 count ) DEEP CF for a Grand Slam for his 7th consecutive game in a row"
Next day he tied the record and had it not been for the stupid configuration to the centre field set up with the retractable NFL seating, he would have had 9 consecutive games on the 30th..

2:59 -- So he clinched his HOF plaque on Father's Day with good ol' dad in attendance! What I wouldn't have given back in the day if they had done a baseball themed Space Jam sequel (Space Slam) staring the player of the 90s!

That homerun from 93 was such a high pitch, the bat speed and strength to be able to hit that in the upper deck is impressive

Mariners lost the three best players of their time - A-Rod, Griffey and Randy - and still found a way to win more games than any other team in the history of baseball. That's so cool!

1989... I forgot he was a skinny kid. The Kid sure filled out over his career and looked more like his dad when he was done. There will never be another natural home run swinger like ever him again in the MLB.

He would have crushed over 61 home runs the year of the strike . Had 40 with 50 games left . If he played first base would have had 800 home runs but I would rather see all those home run robberies and I know he would say the same . Greatest swing in baseball.

I would also add Robinson cano to that list. In fact cano's swing is closest to griffey's swing that I've seen. Griffey's swing was a lot better though

Well it wasn't a national broadcast. He was the Cardinals announcer at the time and you don't want your own team announcer celebrating a home run from another teams player.

Favorite player growing up, ranks 7th all time with 630 homeruns. Imagine how many he would have if he stayed in Seattle and stayed healthy.
