N64 Or PS1, Which one is the best ?
Thy not the pc one
N64.
Pc is the best
Pc is the power one
@@Archaophilias thy not on the pc
Despite the storage limitations of the N64, it’s pretty impressive how that console could easily render without looking all wobbly or texture pop-in.
The PS1 version has the better music, though.
Interestingly the OST for the PS1 version is better and bigger, probably because CDs can hold more data
N64:
- Less pop in
- Less jaggies
- No wobbly textures
- The HUD/health bars look slightly misplaced outside of the borders
PS1:
- Better environmental detail
- Much better music quality
- Better shadows
- Better transparency effects
They both have very inconsistent framerate too but the PS1 doesn't go below 29 so it's a bit better. I don't know why this one didn't get remastered on the PS2 like Monsters Inc. Scare Island.
I’m surprised you didn’t do Dreamcast as well!
I'ma go with the PS1 Verison
Both versions have their pros and cons. One could make a very strong argument that the PlayStation version is absolutely the better version because it has better music and presentation. One could also make a good argument that the N64 version has the edge over the PS1 version when it comes to its cleaner graphics thanks to the system’s stronger hardware with its effective anti-aliasing solutions. However, much like any multi-platform game on the N64, because of the cartridge limitations, the audio quality in this version is lower and it also lacks the full-motion clips found in the PlayStation version of the game.
like most of the games, was better on ps1, definitely CDROM improved the experience
Shadows on PS1 look better than N64
And everything else looks better on the N64.
@@pafoneto1275 No everything definitely looks better on PS1 over the N64 including the audio and resolution. The true resolution for this game on PS1 is 512×240, not 224.
I first played this on my friend's PS1 and got it for my N64 and grew with that version, now I do not have the N64 game but I'm playing again this game on my ps5 on the classics added to psn.
This game looks like it was designed to be pixelated. It looks better that way
N64 version with no texture filter would be the best
Hey bro can you explain to me how did you get Madagascar on your ps4 please reply
Audio vs graphics 😂
Ps1 have better audio because the disc have larger storage capacity, N64 graphics is better because it has Floating-point Unit.
i have to go with n64. I like the visuals a bit better. But also, even though I wouldn't say the music is great, I prefer the ost in the n64 one simply cause whichever game you grew up with, it's super difficult to imagine the music being anything else. Like it literally changes the vibe of the levels.
I prefer the PlayStation One Version. ❤
❤
💛 💚 💙
N64 : 12MB
PS1 : 400MB
yet N64 graphic is smoother 😂
@@kucingganteng3148 File size has nothing to do with that
PS1
Hmmmmmmm, I'm probably gonna go
with the N64 version of Toy Story 2.
I like the PS1 version bro. 👍
Sweet!
Have u seen the new 3d platformer Bolt Bot Screwy Viruses? It looks a bit like an N64 platformer.
They should have Toy Story 2 on Nintendo Switch Online N64 Games
Im more biased cause this was the 1st game i ever owned for the n64, but the graphics seem slightly light and better on the n64 then it do on the p1
Can you please make a graphics comparison for aot 2 next?
Both versions actually look fantastic for the systems they are on. N64 has better/more perspective accurate rendered polygons and textures and an overall better 3D environment (mainly better depth) but the PlayStation is still quite close in those regards. PlayStation then has slightly better texture quality despite some warping and also has brighter and better color contrast. I’m actually most surprised at the texture quality on the 64 version - only a handful of developers knew how to make games on the 64 not look sooo horribly blurry given the major texture filtering needed to fit a whole ass game on a single cartridge.
"Tory Story" 💀
There is something weird here. I have played both version in real hardware and the N64 version doesn´t look that smooth and crisp. ¿Are you sure you have not mixed the Dreamcast version thinking it was the N64 footage? or perhaps are you using an hdmi moded console with the option to disable the N64 filters? I don´t have any of those options just composite video from my N64 but even then the game is not going to get higher res just because is outputing hdmi.
In real hardware the N64 version is somewhat blurrier and with some visible dithering also the jaggies are much more all over the place and the framerate feels more unstable than the Ps1.
I also notice that the Ps1 footage looks blurrier and then again in real Ps1 hardware the picture is actually sharper than the N64 even with composite video but i prefer to play it in my Ps2 with component video and the sharpness and colors are much better.
The Ps1 version actually renders at 512x240 not 256x240 and the N64 version really renders at 320x240 but of course without too much texture woobling (though there are some textures that makes you wonder if the developers actually turned off the N64 Z-buffer and perspective correction texture mapping).
The sound is technically better in the Ps1 of course, the N64 sounds very compressed but i like some music arrangements in N64 better than their Ps1 counterparts.
He's using emulation.
@@TalesBarros May be, but then emulators can go way beyond the capabilities of the original hardware. There is no reason for the N64 version, specially, looking like that, as the rendering resolution looks better than the N64 but not as much better than a Dreamcast, Gamecube, Ps2, or original Xbox era game.
Where's the Dreamcast version? Shoule do all 3 at once.
Prefiero la versión de N64 por los gráficos limpios, sin temblor y sin errores de geometría, y también por el sountrack que me hace recordar la película. Yo soy tú amigo fiel que en mí opinión queda perfecto cómo soundtrack.
I'll take the PS1 Verison anyday. That 64-bit disappointment isn't worth my money
By the looks of it, I would say the title is autocorrected. 😅🤷♂️
The first game of the movie on SNES and Genesis was all right... the sequel of the game is also based on the movie. I would go by the PlayStation version because the video cutscenes is from the movie. The N64 is nothing but screenshot cutscenes.
The N64 has better graphics, but I much prefer the performance and sound on PS1 over the N64 version.
The PS1 has better graphics and a sharper image quality. The reason the N64 version looks like that is because it's running on emunlation.
@@blackgreece2702 That's not fair, indeed we can improve these games on emulators.
l prefer the Nintendo 64 version ❤
Thy not pc
@@drewchaboo719 it is Windows 7
@@eyad415 yes it is

I finished the second part 2 and now I'm playing the third part game on PSP
N64 looks better than PS1, as always.
N64
Using emulators and upscaling the graphics in comparison videos is completely useless.
PS1 wins
N64❤❤❤❤
I wonder why it just plays the same music over and over on the N64 version 🤔
Because Sony Does What Nintendon't
There is ONE song per level and the video only shows the 1st level. The music is just different in the 1st level in both versions. PS1 use that melodramatic song (that really seems out of place if you ask me) while N64 uses the song from the movie, "You got a friend in me".
Dreamcast is the best
PS1 beats the N64 graphically
???
@@apache4739 it does. The only reason the N64 looks like that is because its being played on emulation. Also the ps1's resolution isn't 224p, it's 512×240p with a sharper image quality than the n64.
@@blackgreece2702 Yes, there is something weird going on with the N64 footage, it looks way higher res than on real hardware. But the Ps1 footage looks a little weird, it looks blurry and lower res than it actually is on real hardware too.
@@blackgreece2702I see that the two systems are being emulated, I have the Ps1 and N64, graphically Toy story 2 on the Nintendo 64 is more beautiful. But not that much difference. Now in the Bug's Life Game the Ps1 one is graphically better than the N64 version.
@@apache4739 No, the PSOne is actually more beautiful in TS2 with much better Looking shadows and a higher resolution.
You spell toy wrong
You forgot PC
Now is Tory story 2 that Toy Story 2 the game in ohio
Despite N64 being visually better, I think a game like this fits so much more for PS1, and also the music is infinitely better.
Pq um Jogo desse se Encaixaria muito melhor no PS1?
Good❤❤❤❤
Wth thy no pc
The sequel of the game was amazing in 3D graphics.
Não e tory e toy
