You know it’s actually interesting how the N64 version is the only one where Spiderman has a legit shadow.
And that, only the hedgehog
It was released later on the N64.
The dev team added a few extra touches.
It's interesting how there's different details. I noticed their webs look different.
interesting
I didn't noticed that :0
I clicked on this video solely because it is the first platform comparison video in ages that I've been recommended with an accurate thumbnail that actually depicts the different versions and not just a single version with different filters applied to it. You deserve the view.
The biggest difference is the character models sadly we couldn't see it in this video
Indeed. So many people think a PS1 is better than it really is as all they see are YT videos of the games running in HD on PC emulation.
lmao later on this exact channel would start doing this
Mate you should have also showed us Venom.
The biggest difference was in the Character Models. Dreamcast and PC had amazing looking Symbiote Model. While the rest of the versions almost made them look "Cute"
Ya i too thought venom looked cute in the ps1 version
Yeah cute lmao
Dreamcast looks so beautiful
no

‘Nuff said.
Way before Bruce Campbell.
Just In case anyone has the pc version .. if you're experiencing bugs like Spider-Man vs scorpion level /police chase / venom chase etc .. Then it's because the game is running above the normal fps the game requires .. this was for older computers so ofc it's gonna bug and stuff.. anyway you need a frame limiter or watch how to fix Spider-Man 2000 bugs on UA-cam you can find some videos explaining what to do .. I hope this helps
Also great video :D
Jesus Christ these stupid bugs made me so mad and then I had to use cheat codes to pass the levels. Anyways this game bears special place in my heart
How do I put a frame limiter?
Wait, that's why that was happening? I never even considered that as a reason but it makes way too much sense now that you say it. Huh...

I am surprised at how good the N64 looks. Usually, when talking about multiplatform games, that version always had the worst when talking about textures, not only the weird antialiasing but also the amount of them in the game. But in this case, the N64 looks fairly well in that aspect.
N64 is better regarding graphics, as N64 runs on 64 bits, while PS1 runs on 32 bits, but PS1 compensates in better textures sometimes. So no surprise that the N64 looks better
@@QuantumXX7 dreamcast is 128 bits
@@kingdrift1136 Dreamcast was a next generation console though. N64, Saturn, & PS1 were in the same generation.
It's using higher than native resolution inside the emulator. Making it look better than it would be on hardware.
What do you mean? N64 always had better textures because it was more powerful lol. They just cut out anything that took up too much space, I.E cutscenes would be replaced with story boards and cd music had to be compressed.
PC and Dreamcast are the best versions
Dreamcast was a beast when it was released. Good memories!
Yeah you can tell through thumbnail immediately .. dreamcast is beastcast
Yea no i played the pc version and its horrendous 60 fos messes up with the gameplay a lot dreamcast however is fine
I prefer the n64 version because it was brighter
@@acefreak9561 you said, HORRENDOUS... 60 fps?
I love you videos Group M Pro. Hope you hit 150k subs soon.
Great video comparison!
Dreamcast and PC version have best graphics for it but n64 use a best shadow detail which other version haven't
PC es la mejor fanboy de sega, y por mucho fps son a 60 en las otras consolas es inferior a 30 fps
Like the PC version more.
Very nice details in textures (same as Dreamcast), but with better lighting than DC's.
But the frame rate on the PC version makes it feel too speedy to my taste (used to play the Playstation version back in the day).
I wanted to add that I always thought it was dope how they did the effect of the Spider Sense in Playstation (with the image warping while it activated, all the other ports just make the screen colors go green) and, if I'm not mistaken, the N64 used more sound effects for the environment which I think is very nice.
You can lock the framerate to 30 on pc if you want.
Pc looked best but N64's shadow from spiderman looked great. Wonder why dreamcast and pc didnt have that option.
The PC version had loads of audio glitches in a game where soundtrack was the best part of it. Not to mention other gamebreaking bugs.
Pc was way more powerful than the rest of them in early 2000.
@@zebesiv The game breaking bugs such as the Venom Chase bug and the Mysterio Second Phase fight bug can be fixed by capping the framerate to 20 FPS with dgvoodoo
Too speedy because it was never MEANT to be like that in the first place. Cap it to 30 fps or you'll suffer game breaking glitches. I was frustrated to get it to work, so I gave up early. The ps1 version was ok anyway
If Spider-Man could look and work like this...THEN GTA 1/LONDON AND 2 couldve been 3D thank you very much!!!
Your right
Nah, I still don't think it could have been done, maybe on the dreamcast but there's a lot of smoke and mirrors used in this game. Notice all the fog ? Look at Driver 2 who attempted a full 3d world, the game ran REALLY bad and the graphics were a downgrade compared to Driver1.
@@Gatorade69 still works right
Maybe If the game was settled only in 1 city and not in three but like someone said before me it would remind us of Driver and not for a good reason because the graphics would look horrible, because you can't compare the speed of spiderman vs the speed of a Banshee in GTA 3 for example
@@Gatorade69 yet you Love San Andreas despite it having a huge graphics downgrade
I have the Dreamcast version! I still love playing it from time to time!
The winner is the PC version with better graphics and frame rate. With some proper gamepad configuration and maybe a widescreen patch it's the best way to play this game today. For the console the best is Dreamcast very close to PC version
Agreed
You will need to use a FPS limiter though or some levels might break due to how the game wasn't exactly built for higher FPS.
@@collinpersinger4809 You are correct, some levels will outright not work properly if the game isn't limited to 20 FPS. The Venom chase is unwinnable and Mysterio will always kill you in phase 2 of his boss fight.
Visuals:
1. PC (looks pretty much the exact same as Dreamcast, but has a better frame rate)
2. Dreamcast
3. N64
4. PS1 (Lots of wobbling and tearing visuals, and worst shadows compared to the rest)
Audio:
1. PC
2. Dreamcast
3. PS1
4. N64 (The music took a major hit in this version, and there also seems to be less frequent fight banter when I played them)
Gameplay:
All seem pretty much the same, overall.
This biggest thing for me is the cutscenes. PS1 has the consistency across them all, but vicually looks bad compared to PC and Dreamcast. PC and Dreamcast have way better visuals and audio, but they are occasionally inconsistent due to how they were made, but it not noticeable if you aren't looking for it. N64 has no cutscenes, and is more "like a comic" because of that, like I have heard people say before. This one all falls into what you prefer, really.
Personally, in the end, I'll take the PC and Dreamcast versions any day because they just look and sound so much better.
N64 doesn’t have good cutscenes
the pc version has the worst frame rate and it causes the entire game to break.
I actually think that the PC version has godawful audio mixing. The audio will mute for certain music and sounds in-game, but will blare the music on the menu, and any dialogue from characters in-game to the point of distortion. The loud audio also gets louder overtime, despite being turned down to the lowest setting in the audio menu.
I still replay the Dreamcast port about once a year or so. Great game.
N64 and PC look like two completely different games.. Wow
N64 = Better Graphics and Resolution than PS1
PS1 = Better Sound and CGs
Dreamcast = Best of All
PC = Dreamcast in HD
Dreamcast has more particles too
@@grayfox206 circle shadow I hate dreamcast for that reason there are several games that it improves but don't improve everything, MK Gold cool but the lighting doesn't react, Tony Hawk high resolution cool but it's 30fps, spiderman cool but the shadow is a circle.

1:47 his voice sounds like librom from Soul sacrifice
Soul Sacrifice was a gem of a game
When the intro play and Stan Lee starts talking it's echo's like hes announcing to the world peter Parker is spiderman through a bunch of speakers
0:04 He just groovin
Still have the dreamcast version. Was one of the first games I bought for my DC.
I had the N64 port. I remember it being a gift in an Easter basket. I think my brother got Resident Evil for the ps1 🤔

N64 is pretty good and it has character shadows the pc version looks good too but fps seems off for some reason like some type of frame interpolation is going on
No wonder the Dreamcast one looks so good. It was ahead of its time man.
its always good to hear Stan Lee voice the only game that had real Stan Lee voice i think second one does too but idk
and idk if any other game had real Stan Lee to give voice
btw why this game have better web texture then most spiderman games lol :D
Attaching your webs to nothing made me laugh back then and it makes me laugh now.

is nobody noticing how the dreamcast drops the most frames out of all versions lmao
Oh no, I noticed it immediately. (Yes I'm replying to a year old comment.)
The stanlee naration in this video feels like spiderman is in some matrix prison and stanlee is shouting thru some speaker (those are situated at corner in prison cell blocks)
I had the PS1 Version, but I like the Look of the Dreamcast version best.

According to Todd McFarlane, the editor of Marvel at that time called it spaghetti webbing.
I love how the PC version utilizes more of Spider-Man's dialogue
Ive never owned a dreamcast and I feel like i need one now haha

In the N64 version, has better shadows (at least for Spider-Man, Idk about the enemies or NPC's shadows)... But the other versions only have a circle-shaped (or less detailed) shadows, and the PS1 version has less resolution or looks more jagged.
Better shadows but it is more similar to ps1 in everything else but with more resolution I guess
@Sly! Darn!
@Sly! Alright fine if that’s whatcha want.
I notice that on Windows it runs the game full 60fps and i started playing spiderman 64 on my android phone since 2016 and then i started to play spiderman ps1 on my phone and on ps1 was pixelated but it ran in 60fps and spiderman 64 on the n64 it ran at 30fps.
@@so-vp2qh well that's what i saw on the emulator
The PS1 version was one of my favorite games as a kid. This is my first time really seeing footage of the other versions. Is it odd that for me the thing standing out the most is the N64 version having an actual shadow? I'm surprised the DC and PC versions are just using a circular shadow despite being on stronger hardware and overall being more advanced graphically.

I played the PS1 version back in the day but I gonna download the N64 to play it on my wii. So many memories of this game that I want to relieve

I like how the thugs sound more goofy and cartoonish in the PC version. Of course I'm biased since it's the one I grew up with.

You probably need to get a 3000hz monitor, and you have to wait a really long time.
Nobody cares
The average monitor is only 120hz, it's nice to see the madness has effected PC gamers, I suggest fire and lots of it
Don't think that's how that works
@@naufal8887 Originally Answered: Can a 60Hz monitor run 100 FPS? In short, No. A 60 Hz monitor basically refreshes the panel 60 times every second, which is basically 60 frames per second. So even if hardware capable of higher frame rates is plugged into a 60Hz monitor, the monitor output will be capped at 60FPS.
Crazy. Dreamcast actually look same as pc vision.
Dreamcast has better shading than pc

Dreamcast seem to have framerate issues while the others don't.
Which version has the best audio quality?
Dreamcast said VMU options instead of memory options because Windows PlayStation and Nintendo 64 don't have a hole in the game controller
No puedo creer que en pc se vea ultra mejor
