Nice demonstration of IFR approach/landing procedures. Good use of 3 cameras, the approach lights don't show up in the capt's view but are very clear in the copilot's. I could see the vibration caused by turbulence in the clouds while they were still in IMC. I didn't hear ATIS (maybe these days it's text), but I think the ceiling was about 1000, still a challenging approach.
Question Please! Are American base airlines, ex United, FedEx, American etc not allowed to be videoed in the cockpit? I like your videos and noticed only non USA companies, thus my assumption. Is this correct?
As we have limited resources to deal with airlines we have to focus on the areas of the world where we can negotiate agreements in a decent amount of time, thats why most of our work will be with airlines in Europe, Africa, South America and parts of Asia. For North America it would be Canada & Mexico.
Umm, it wasn't a 45 knot crosswind. The wind was gusting to 41 knots from a direction 30 degrees off the runway heading. (Runway 4R, wind from 070) Good landing, however.
The video is a little misleading with the title. Wind is only 30° off the nose gusting to 45kts. I don’t know everyone’s airframe limitations and company limits but if was a true 45kt DIRECT crosswind for where I work that would be out of limits by almost 10kts and we’d be doing somewhere else or holding.
The weather was poor with regard to visibility, precipitation, wind, and turbulence. The captain looked very focused and a bit tense, as would most pilots be in similar conditions. The roll excursions while on AP (up to 10 degrees) show the strength of the turbulence un gusty conditions.
It’s hard to see the PFD from the footage but from what I can tell the most they roll is about 5 degrees on the roll index. Either way I wasn’t criticizing, I was making an observation. I’m also an airline pilot so i understand the challenges. Category 1 approaches are pretty common, at least in the U.S.

Nice job Captain, but don't let it ever be said that pilots don't sweat out some landings.
29.32 altimeter 😮

What was the female voice callout right at minimums - in the background when the pilot says "continue"?
It was "Autopilot Autopilot" which is the Autopilot disconnect warning.

23 knots crosswind ;)

Where was that 45 knots X wind?😂
Just a clickbait 😂
winds.......070/30G41 does NOT equal a 45kt crosswind. BS thumbnail.

Not for nothing but that captain seemed way too stressed for a CAT 1 approach.
