- We decided to spend our anniversary doing one of favorite things, adventuring! We wanted to do something we've never done so we decided to take a road trip throughout the southwest of the US. We flew into Las Vegas, rented a car and then we were off to the Grand Canyon South rim. After, we hiked in Sedona, AZ at Soldier's Pass, then headed to Page, AZ. There were got to explore the beautiful Lower Antelope Canyons and Horseshoe Bend. Last we headed to Zion National Park for our actual anniversary and we were completely blown away at the beauty! We will definitely be back! Happy to bring you on the adventure with us!

We are Keanna and Dustin! We are teachers who were dating long distance and now we are married! Keanna is from Atlanta and Dustin is from Indianapolis. We now live together in metro Atlanta. Keanna currently teaches fourth grade while Dustin is teaching fourth and fifth grade. We met through the wonderful world of Instagram and haven't looked back. We share our love, adventures, and everything in between.

Hey, you all!! The best time to visit these areas is early spring or early fall. It usually is not to hot or too cold
Guys the reason why very few people are on the trail is because of the extreme weather. Mary people who planned that trip have cancelled and opted for indoor activities to stay cool.
Please be sure that you stay hydrated. Water is great but please be sure to get some drinks that replaces your electrolytes.

Hey you lovebirds, a belated Happy Anniversary! I’m from the Southwest and here are a few tips to help you next time you visit. First, give yourselves a couple of days to start adjusting to the elevation before hiking. Your lungs will appreciate it! Next, carry walking sticks as you hike and hit the ground in front of you. Rattlesnakes are in abundance during the summer months, especially during the early morning hours. You don’t want to step on a camouflaged snake and be bitten. A snake will sense the vibration of a stick and strike it instead. Finally, the best time to visit the Southwest is early to late fall. The sunsets are incredible and the temperatures are much more pleasant. Locals will tell you they stay indoors during the summer months and start venturing out in late Sept, October and early November. On a historical note, my paternal grandfather was born in South Dakota but was reared in Prescott, not far from Sedona. He was one of two black families who lived in the town at that time. He raised horses and cattle and was truly a black cowboy. As teachers, I thought you might enjoy knowing this! We just went to the Grand Canyon too. It was beautiful, but coming from the South, it was so dry. My nose and throat felt scratchy. I need a humidifier, but we drank a lot of water and used chapstick. When we were in Phoenix, AZ, it was 120 degrees. I will never complain about AL weather again. ✌️
One day I'll have a partner to experience something similar to this too!

My husband, daughter, and I went to the Grand Canyon in 2003. I actually sat on the ledge with my feet dangle over!! Every time I look at that picture, I'm like what was I thinking??😃🤣
