I just went to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Saguaro NP two weeks ago. It was absolutely beautiful. Only regret is that I didn't get the chance to go up to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Love these videos. They're so informative and help me a lot when trying to plan trips.
Had a similar experience at Mt Washington in NH when we went there a few years ago. Got to the "viewing" area and it was snowing like a blizzard in July. Temp at the cog rr in the entrance 70s. Temp at the top under 30°.
Love your dad especially, such a great sport!!!! I love your relationship everyone should be this close to their dad!!! I was too my dad is in heaven now, enjoy him to the fullest❤
Always when i see videos or documentaries about such landscapes in the US i think to myself: how cool would it be to be there in around 1850 to 1880 What i also wanted to say.... thank you guys for making those amazing videos... i always feel like be there with you. Your style to make those videos is unique and exceptional good... thumbs up and keep it up :)
I often think the same thing. Those people back then were looking at the same natural beauty I am now. Yeah 1860 is the reference point I always think of. We really appreciate your watching and insightful comment!
This is a wonderful video of Arizona! When you were at the Hall of Flame Museum in Phoenix, at 34:45 this firetruck was donated by my friend Alexander Black here in Douglas, AZ. He was a firefighter originally from Syracuse, NY. I believe that's where the firetruck was originally from. Alex would drive it in local parades, but had not restored it to this point. He donated it to this museum in his will. I'm sure Alex would be pleased with the beautiful restoration job they did on it. He also donated a large amount of antique fire alarm boxes, nozels and other firefighting memorabilia to the National Firefighter Museum. Thanks to you and your family for all the great videos!
Always makes me smile watching you and your dad, you obviously have fun together everywhere you go. Arizona is on our bucket list for a road trip, even more so now after seeing this. Great video. ❤🇨🇦
I’ll never forget my first trip to the grand Canyon. A day just like yours, totally fogged in. I wasn’t about to give up, so we parked our RV for the night. When we got up, it had snowed quite a bit during the night, but we were greeted with blue skies. At the Canyon we were so excited by the beautiful views with snow caped peaks. Glad we took a chance and stayed the night. To add: yes, AZ is a beautiful state. So much to see and explore. I’ve lived here for about 45 years. I seen a ton of changes. Some good and some, not so good. I reside in the Phoenix valley, where the summer temperatures are brutal. But, I’m still here. Why? Because I love it. So much of the country is dealing with horrible weather. We don’t get weather, per say. Just unbearable summer heat. But the rest of the year, nothing compares. Thanks again for the journey and reflections of all where I’ve traveled. Time to get out and do it again. In the winter, mind you.
I've seen the Grand Canyon full of clouds, and it's still beautiful.😅 I lived there from 8 to 13 years old. My dad took us all over Arizona... including Bedrock LOL. Your video is bringing back many fun memories. Thank you for sharing
Thanks again you two. This will also be one of the road trips we are doing when we are there in a few months. Loved the animal park at the end too… especially with the Australian native birds (budgerigars and lorikeets). As always you’ve added a few more things to our itinerary! 😊
I just love you guys! I'm so glad i stumbled across you a few months ago & have absolutely loved every single one of your videos! You have a lot of the same interests that i do! I appreciate your opinion/views on all ... the food, the history of our great country, the museums, ... everything!! And i love the way you two interact! Cherish these days together ... not a lot of people can do that with their parents/children. It's definitely a blessing ❤ keep up the great work! 👍🏻
Sedona is one of my favorite places . Out of the 19 states Ive visited Arizona is my favorite and this is coming from a guy from New England. Number 20 will be Texas next week.
Thank you so much to you and your father for doing the State of Arizona justice! I've lived here all my life and there's always something to do and always someplace to go. Glad to see you both enjoyed our state. You two are amazing together. Keep having fun & showing us many unique & interesting places. God Bless from Tucson.❤
My wife and I watch every new program you share. We are both entertained and informed about possible future adventures for us. We are more in line with your father's age and would like to point out that you are both very fortunate to have the relationship that you have. Keep up the awesome programming.
Just wanted to mention that during our trip to Colorado we went on a similar mine tour in Silverton called the Old 100 mine. It was awesome as well and you would love it. You also ride down in mine cars and they show how the drills, etc. work. Loud but so cool.
I can’t believe you got to see antelope canyon by yourself. I saw it in a huge tour group that took several trucks to hold everyone. At least 50 people. It’s so incredible! The ride to there was pretty wild. lol. We got done with our tour an hour before sunset. I love the path out so traffic stays one way. We got horseshoe bend at sunset. It was incredible. Didn’t get to glen canyon or the lake. Horse shoe bend was amazing.
Yea, we were blown away! Such a cool experience. I wish we would have gotten to see sunset at Horseshoe Bend but it was cloudy. So cool you got to see it!
I visited Arizona in 1997 and drove almost 1500 miles within the state. It was the best vacation in my life. I remember the Phoenix Airport had some construction going on when we landed. Good old days.
Sedona is one of our favourite places in the US. 5 years ago on the 6th April 2019 I claimed the bell rock, 24 hours later I had to have a quadruple heart bypass at the hospital in Flagstaff. Can’t thank the surgeon and staff enough, they were fantastic. Hope to go back again soon . We watch all your vids and agree with all the other comments they are great. Mick from England
Wow, i havent been to the chapel of the holy cross in 40-ish years, and i had (quite frankly) completely forgotten about it until you showed it, and suddenly a handful of memories flooded back into my brain. Amazing how the brain locks away memories sometimes! Stunning footage you captured, though. Even if it was overcast, it was simply beautiful! ❤
So a couple of things I would recommend....in Yarnell, AZ, they have a beautiful shrine to St. Joseph. There is also a state park with a memorial to the firemen who lost their lives in the Yarnell fire.
Great video!! My mom and I are going to Arizona in September…mainly Sedona and Grand Canyon, but I definitely have some great ideas on how to spend our time! 😁
As a resident of Tucson, what I found most remarkable in your journey was the several consecutive days of overcast skies, which made me immediately suspicious this was filmed around Seattle or Anchorage.

Beckley, WV has a really good mine tour as well. You get to ride into the mine for the tour, and they have a mining town set up to tour as well, with old building on site showing you how the miners lived. This looks like such an amazing road trip!
Hi Josh and Pops, everyone in my family loves your videos, especially our autistic son :) he loves the sceneries and we think he finds your voice calming 😊 maybe you guys could do a video on North and South Dakota sometime in the future :) we’d love that!
We’ve been to hole in a rock a bunch! It’s our tradition to stop by anytime we fly into Phoenix and take in the views! Haven’t gotten to go to Antelope Canyon yet, but hopefully soon!! Another great video!!
Did Arizona last April, and had a great time. Beautiful scenery. I confined myself mainly to the top half of the state (Flagstaff, Page, Grand Canyon, Sedona, back to Flagstaff), though.
Darn, It looks like I may have missed the live stream. Absolutely incredible episode I love western films & western history. I really enjoyed Tomb stone. Kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia
Holy moly. I went to the Thing back in 2008 and WOW has it changed. I wonder if I can dig up some of the photos from my old flip phone because this place was seriously like a fever dream. It was dusty, full of odd attractions, there were no nice museum walls. I can't even describe it in this comment but this place pop in my mind sometimes as one of the weirdest experiences of my life 😂
There is a mine cart ride in the 100 yr mine north of durango, co. On way to Silverton. Was there in 2019 and they give you a raincoat to wear and a hardhat. The mine is very high altitude. Loving your video.
We started watching a lot of UA-cam during COVID. Our first Through My Lens video was the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim video-and we’ve been avid viewers ever since.
I visited Jerome over 50 years ago, and at the time it was considered a ghost town. There weren't many people or businesses at that time, and it was pretty run down. How time has changed it!
I was in Page just under a month ago, incredibly beautiful place. It was an unexpected visit on my way to the Grand Canyon, so i didnt see as much as you did, but really enjoyed the scenery there.
Thanks for the great travel tips...and doughnut info 😜 You both look like a fun team. We have 4 more 'lower 48' states to hit this year to finish off the U.S., then off to Alaska. Thanks for that video as well. We hope to run into you guys along the road... maybe at a doughnut shop? 🧆🍡☕ This year, Texas to Kentucky! Safe travels!
So we Love your tours. My wife and I live in Phoenix. I have worked in Sedona. Even proposed to my wife in the church on the hill and wedded up on Cathedral rock. Have friends in Tucson. Glad you got to Eegees. We have been to quite a few of the same spots you went on this trip. Being a Native, I have seen So much. The goat kissing was the best. Love that you have your dad to go with you. Lost mine a few years ago. Cherish your time with him. If you have a FB account. Love to follow you. Thx
Personally, I would love to see you do the Florida State parks and all of the Springs….definitely not a summer trip but maybe if you need fall/winter/spring ideas 😊 But do go tubing down Itchetucknee and see the manatees at Blue Spring State park and the mermaids at Weeki Watchee for the roadside part of the trip on that itinerary!
Great road trip! 'The Adventure Buddies' also make similar videos, and I love watching both of your channels. They provide lots of information for my next trip.
Last time I went to the Grand Canyon it was pouring rain. Sedona was awesome. Take the Pink Jeep Tour in Sedona. My family loves Jerome. I love the Haunted Burger. My sister loved the Hatch Chili burger. I was there in November.
If you like mine tours, you should come to West Yorkshire in England and go to the National Coal Mining Museum! You can go down into the coal mine. It is very cool! The guides are former miners who have some great stories to tell.
We did most of what you guys did during a summer break as well. Highly recommend this route if you from socal. Did a lot of research before we went, and a lot of early planning booking those historic lodges. Hoover Dam tour, Lake mead, to Valley of Fire. (stay vegas/hoover dam area) Zion thru to Bryce (might have to stay at the Zion lodge to use the road thru Zion? not sure but I think most vehicle had to park outside park, but you can drive thru if you staying at the lodge, both parks have lodge book in advance), Grand Canyon North Rim (exceptional, a lot less people too, the lodge sits right on the edge of it very cool, only place to stay so book in advance only in summer I believe), Horseshoe bend, Page (boat tour) plus the dam tour, I do recommend the hotel where the boat tour launches, pretty nice, you need a national park pass to enter, it is a fee area I believe. Antelope Canyon do both lower and upper but Upper imo is better, Monument Valley (wouldn't recommend taking their car tour super expensive, drive it yourself but stay here also book early, food was crap though), Mexican Hat, (look from road very cool), Natural Bridges Monument (road to here was pretty exceptional, but scary). Canyon de Chelly (very cool overlooks), Petrified Forest NP, Albuquerque, Santa Fe (charming and apparently very historical, older than some east coast apparently, but used to be Spain), Taos (personally wouldn't go out of the way for this), Bandelier (very cool), Tent Rock Kasha-Katsuwa (bring all the bugspray in the world), Rosewell, Carlsbad Cavern (wow just wow, highlight for sure), Guadalupe Mountain, El Paso (the tacos here are imo overrated), White Sands (even though it is just white "sand" quite unique experience, but it was so hot we did not exit the car for more than 20 mins), World's largest pistachio (if you like pistachio) , Chiricahua National Monument (exceptional and almost no one there, would of spend more time here if we knew). Pima air museum, Tucson (sonroan dog was pretty good), Saguaro NP, Phoenix, Sedona (that church, is a must see, even if you aren't religious, just exceptional architecture, parking is impossible though, drive up drop people off and switch off is my suggestion), Grand Canyon South Rim, Laughlin (special shout out to Guy Fieri's restaurant in Harrah's quite good all things considered).
Check out Picacho Peak State Park which is along Interstate 10 between Phoenix and Tucson. The hike via Hunter's Trail is EXTREMELY difficult. It's similar to Angel's Landing without the crowd.
You mentioned how funny it would be if it turned out the history we learned in school was all untrue. I think aliens were mentioned at one point.. Y'all are definitely entertaining yet in all serious look into what you said. Jon Levi on YT is a wonderful starting point to get another carefully researched perspective of a history alive right before our eyes but a requires an analytical open mind.. Oh and the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky would be fun for you guys.
Wow, the visuals in this video were breathtaking! For anyone who has been to Arizona, what time of year do you think is best for a road trip like this?
What's better than a father/son trip! You two are magic together!
Thanks! We have a great time.
Great video. Love the way you talk about history, museums, restaurants and nature. 😊
Thank you very much! Appreciate the comment!

Always a reason to go back but sounds like you went to some of the best spots!
I love the way you narrate your videos. You are so pleasant to listen to. It is great to see you and your father’s loving relationships.
It was awesome!! Glad I was able to join you in the premiere 🙌🏽
Thanks for coming! We always love seeing you at the premieres and lives!

Came for the travel tips. Stayed for Pops ♥
I can't wait! We will have the popcorn ready! Thanks Josh!
So awesome! I need to cook some popcorn too!
@ThroughMyLens we so enjoyed it!!!
like I told your Dad, every Saturday night we watch your videos, it's our thing!
What a fun trip throughout AZ with your pop. Thanks for sharing.
Great. Can't wait.
Kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia 🇦🇺
Hope you enjoy it!

You are so right about cherishing time together. We often will talk about how our time together is finite so we try to enjoy every moment!!
Sedona is one of my favorite places . Out of the 19 states Ive visited Arizona is my favorite and this is coming from a guy from New England. Number 20 will be Texas next week.
Thank you! Really liked the view from hiking on the gorgeous red rocks!

This one is about an hour and 10 minutes if you want to hang out and chat with us during the premiere!
Thank you guys. What a beautiful state and so much to see and learn.
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it
Looking forward to it!
Thanks for stopping by!

I love the footage of the bars all thw wood behind the bar 💕
Best Arizona video ever! At least a fun one and one of the best!! 🌵Officially approved and highly recommended by: The Zonie! 🤠🌞😎
This video came in handy. I’m currently in Phoenix and was wondering what to do. Thanks for all the great ideas
Glad it was helpful to your current trip!
Wow, i havent been to the chapel of the holy cross in 40-ish years, and i had (quite frankly) completely forgotten about it until you showed it, and suddenly a handful of memories flooded back into my brain. Amazing how the brain locks away memories sometimes!

Sorry Josh, Pops beat you on the draw for sure. Great video! I might never get there, but I sure want to go. Thanks for sharing!
Always look forward to your videos! Father son chemistry compliments your content very well :) motivates me to explore Arizona next this year.
Thanks for watching! It is a gorgeous state.
i’m so excited i found you… i love to travel …
We are glad you found the channel as well!
Great video!! My mom and I are going to Arizona in September…mainly Sedona and Grand Canyon, but I definitely have some great ideas on how to spend our time! 😁
So awesome, I hope you love it! Such a special area
You've definitely given me some ideas for my December Arizona road trip! Thanks Josh and Pops!
I always wanted to Visit Arizona. !! Thank you so much for showing us Arizona !
As a resident of Tucson, what I found most remarkable in your journey was the several consecutive days of overcast skies, which made me immediately suspicious this was filmed around Seattle or Anchorage.
My personal faves are Sedona, Greer, Snowbowl in flagstaff, kartchner cavern, many lakes, Superstition Mountains and many others.
Absolutely wonderful thank you.
Love these videos with your dad.
Perfect timing to post this video!
Heading to Arizona in May.
Always love your videos! Hi Pops!
What's up Raul!
I have always wanted to visit Arizona. You have given me many more reasons!
I stayed at Raptor Ranch (Flintstone Village) on my way to the GC. It was in May. It was beautiful then!
Love Arizona!
Your rim to rim hike was the very first of your videos I had seen. I've seen almost everyone of them since. Get up the good work!
So much great information ❣️ you and your Pops are a great team,
Thx! We sure have a good time traveling together!
Very nicely done as usual!
We lived in AZ for 27 years and owned a second home condo several more, and I've been pretty much all the places you went plus everywhere else. I loved revisiting! I know you went to GSMNP and BRParkway, but it would be great for you to do a full tour of TN and visit the many amazing state parks and waterfalls.
I love this. So many attractions you visited that I now want to go visit.
Beckley, WV has a really good mine tour as well. You get to ride into the mine for the tour, and they have a mining town set up to tour as well, with old building on site showing you how the miners lived. This looks like such an amazing road trip!
Hi Josh and Pops, everyone in my family loves your videos, especially our autistic son :) he loves the sceneries and we think he finds your voice calming 😊
maybe you guys could do a video on North and South Dakota sometime in the future :) we’d love that!
Actually, that is on the docket. Hopefully will do that soon. So glad your son enjoys the videos.
We’ve been to hole in a rock a bunch! It’s our tradition to stop by anytime we fly into Phoenix and take in the views! Haven’t gotten to go to Antelope Canyon yet, but hopefully soon!! Another great video!!
Just love your videos and the father/ son interaction!!
Great video! Informative and fun!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed this video of my adopted state…thank you for your work!
Did Arizona last April, and had a great time. Beautiful scenery. I confined myself mainly to the top half of the state (Flagstaff, Page, Grand Canyon, Sedona, back to Flagstaff), though.
You are right that the northern and southern parts of the state are quite different.
Darn, It looks like I may have missed the live stream.
Absolutely incredible episode
I love western films & western history.

Pops is The Best ❤😂
I agree 😀
Where do I know him from?
I visited Jerome over 50 years ago, and at the time it was considered a ghost town. There weren't many people or businesses at that time, and it was pretty run down. How time has changed it!
My father-in-law was born in Jerome!❤
I was in Page just under a month ago, incredibly beautiful place. It was an unexpected visit on my way to the Grand Canyon, so i didnt see as much as you did, but really enjoyed the scenery there.

My wife and I miss your signature “grab the lens” sign off!!
Hahaha I noticed that he stopped doing that too but not sure why?
Personally, I would love to see you do the Florida State parks and all of the Springs….definitely not a summer trip but maybe if you need fall/winter/spring ideas 😊
But do go tubing down Itchetucknee and see the manatees at Blue Spring State park and the mermaids at Weeki Watchee for the roadside part of the trip on that itinerary!
That gunfight between you and Pops was a draw in my opinion with Pops shooting lower, a gut shot! Thanks ajosh! My favorite was Horseshoe Canyon!😀🇺🇸🌵
Hahaha! I guess they were the most difficult shots to recover from back in the day.
i NEED to see that snoopy rock in person 😭
Excellent video! My hometown is Tucson ❤️
Great road trip! 'The Adventure Buddies' also make similar videos, and I love watching both of your channels. They provide lots of information for my next trip.

Very well done.
I can see we missed a lot when we' were out west. Need another trip😊😊
There is SO MUCH to see out here. Would probably take a lifetime to see everything.

This looks great guys… can’t wait to watch… just starting now… I did notice one thing though .. No “ Monument Valley”…??
I love your videos, I came to this channel from your California through my lens channel.
I think you should do Oregon next 👍
Kartchner caverns are a must-see in Southern Arizona
❤❤❤
You mentioned how funny it would be if it turned out the history we learned in school was all untrue. I think aliens were mentioned at one point.. Y'all are definitely entertaining yet in all serious look into what you said. Jon Levi on YT is a wonderful starting point to get another carefully researched perspective of a history alive right before our eyes but a requires an analytical open mind.. Oh and the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky would be fun for you guys.
I cannot wait for you guys to blow up! Awesome job on the new song!
Thank you for mentioning “wheelchair accessible”.
Trying to help out with that. We notice accessible areas when we can.
Wow, the visuals in this video were breathtaking! For anyone who has been to Arizona, what time of year do you think is best for a road trip like this?
Very nice video. You guys are gtreat!
Boa tarde tudo bem parabens lindo lugar amei obrigado
Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Great roadtrip again next time we go we no where too go for food and hotels
Arizona where there is no shade except the people
Ft. Bridger, WY is a good place to visit.
I was surprised Pop was in the canyon, especially those tight spots that seemed more cave like.
I hesitated at first. Better without a lot of people.
