I hung out with Joey once when I lived in FT lauderdale a few years ago , he came over my place signed some misfit records and the box set ....feel so bad for him and the liver cancer ! Stand up dude
Crazycarls adventures Yes I agree and we are so much more than our physical bodies...the soul never dies rather transforms in my humble opinion. God bless you Carl and all of your crazy adventures my friend! ❤️
THANK YOU!! I Love that you went out and found all the ex misfits dudes!! im a life long feind and these interviews have been a massive treat. thank you soo much!!! keep it up!!!
Joey played drums for us live a few years back in Long Beach Ca. We played songs off Horror Business and Night of the Living Dead. Was great! Cheers Joey! -The Spooky
As a fiend since a kid I've seen and heard 'em all and this guy gets it,best interviewer to do talk to the guys. Keep doing these for us fiends and looking forward to what's next.
Haha, I love how he puts on his sunglasses while this dude's telling him how everybody considers him THE Misfits drummer. Cool dude. Kinda looks like the old-school Dog Town skateboard psychopath Jay Adams, but seems like a nice guy.
holy shit, just seeing these ex misfits interviews. got a playlist loaded 2 binge watch. awaiting the bobby steele ep although hes prob the most seen ex misfits over the years n has told his story b4 but gotdamn, thx 4 this. i dont listen 2 the misfits like i used 2 as a young 12/13 y/o but 32 y/o me well aswell be a fiend 4 life.
Interviews like this are incredible!! Maybe a bit off-subject, but if you could do interviews with John Christ and legendary drummer Chuck Biscuits (just a thought as one Fiend to another). Thank you so much for all of your hard work. Stuff like this is priceless!! Well done.
Thank YOU so much! I really appreciate it! I would love to interview both John & Chuck if it ever becomes possible....I do have a couple more of these in the works!
So honest, down to earth & REAL. I love it when people in the public eye admit their downfalls and don't just worry about presenting themselves favorably, in an interview.
The Band “Warlord” keeps coming up in these videos. Pete Marshall, Joey Image...what are the chances some of the music survived? I’d love to hear that. Kinda on a mission now...
AT 3.40 ONTHIS MY NAME POPS UP WALTER VOLUME THANKS JOEY AND ALSO TO ADD AFTER JOEY CAME BACK FROM ENGLAND AND TOLD ME WHAT WHEN DOWN I will not go into that but I will say that ME and JOEY PLAYED AFTER THAT. WALTER VON BLACK AKA WALTER VOLUME
Oh shit! If this is the kind of content we can expect then this channel is going to be the absolute king of content for this whole genre / era. I am BEYOND impressed thus far. Quick question: Why didn't he just cop some heroin over in London. From everything I know (which isn't much, lol) it was readily available over there at the time. It seems like that would have been a solution to the problem. Temporary, obviously, but it would have gotten him through the tour and possibly changed the history of the Misfits (for the worse, in my opinion, as this wasn't my favorite version of the group, but regardless). I prefer the Walk Among Us era lineup to the others, followed by the Earth AD lineup, and then this version (with Steele and Image). I know that's not a popular opinion, in fact it's the opposite of most other fans, but that's just how I feel. Doyle was my absolute HERO growing up. It's kinda sad to learn that he was basically the Sid Vicious of the Misfits, lol. Damn internet. It ruins everything, lol.
If u ask me which line up I love the most its Glenn-Jerry-Bobby-Googy. That was the Misfits I fell in love with, when they hd that 50s RnR vibe into it.They sounded great live. Then, after Doyle came, and ESPECIALLY after Robo came,it was all downhill for me.They hopped into HC train, played likew shit,Glenn couldnt sing for shit live,it was shit. And,what are the Misfits without Glenns vocals?Just another pop-punk band with morbid themes and catchy sing-along songs.Doyle got a chance to play in the greatest band ever and he didnt even try to learn to play. They have a lot of similarities with Seks Pistols now tht I think of,Doyle like Sid,couldnt play, all about image, the whole band morphed into cricatures of themselves.
Igor Svačić - yeah. Those early live recordings from 1977-1979 were the Misfits at their peak. They sounded so good. Glenn was actually singing instead of just screaming and the rest of the band played at a regular tempo instead of at 10,000 BPM.
Hahaha. Did he say that you were lucky to get two hamburgers? Two hamburgers? If only Googy would have been so lucky, lol. Didn't he get fired for demanding a second burger during the Hollywood leg of the Walk Among Us tour, lol? Man, the budget must have been tight back in those days, lol.
Rest in Peace Joey Image
Ĵoey was good. In misfits my favorite❤(of drummers) god loves you
Best version of the misfits recording wise.
Rest in peace Joey. Best period of the Misfits for me, that 1978-1980 era with Glenn/Jerry/Bobby/Joey + with Googy too!!!
Met joey image at my work he was in town with his band. I fixed his drum pedal for him. He saw my misfits tattoos and introduced himself
RIP JOEY IMAGE💔
I grew up with joey, one the same street, very sad.... R.I.P. Dude
Another great video with another NJ Hero. “Rock & Roll is a gift”. Happy he’s clean, wishing him all the best in regards to his health!

Great interview, great questions, great stories.
RIP I'm sure if he didn't get clean in late 90s he wouldn't of had another 20 years. Greatest Misfits drummer here.
