such a humble , open and honest dude ...
Ya know
a trick : watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@Reuben Henry yup, been watching on Flixzone for years myself =)
you know, you know, you know, you know, you know
The more you know....😂
Eric Blair needs to seriously do an interview with Pete "Damien" Marshall (guitarist of Samhain '84-'86). A very much overlooked contribution to the Samhain legacy.
Yes!
Dark Ride Productions did one that's here on UA-cam. They're SUPER knowledgeable about the band so the interview is phenomenal. At this point they've done in depth interviews with nearly everyone who's ever played in a Glenn Danzig project. Super interesting. You should check them out.
@@jasondankenbring1710 How to find it?
@@STS777 try the static age pete marshall interview. It's on UA-cam.
I agree !!!
Very good interview. Great questions, London’s answers were great.
that kicked ass man. always good to hear the old guard is doing good and still doing. keep the skins thuddin london!
samhain is amazing
It amazes me that this channel has only 12K subscribers. Eric by far has some of the best interviews on his channel this being one of them.
Great interview. Thanks for posting.
Very underrated, talented drummer. Also did some incredible background vocals while with Samhain.
Really admired May's humility and ability to look at himself and say "I'm not perfect. This is where I f#$#ked up."
Eric Blair comes off as a really cool guy. Thanks for posting this.
I love this show. You always get in depth stuff you'd never get on another format. This is another great example. It's the underground equivalent of the Howard Stern Show interviews. But even better.
Glad you enjoy it!
Samhain was the Irish/Gaelic festival now known as Halloween. It is pronounced Sowin. Mí na Shamhna means November in our Irish Gaelic language, hence November's Coming Fire Shamhna=Samhain=November=the advent of November=October 31=Halloween. It's a beautiful feastday that can be seen in the same way as the Mexican Día de los Muertos...it's the celebration of our dead, the astrological and seasonal 'death' of the year and of life as it enters Winter to be reborn in Spring..cyclical.
Who cares
Exactly! And what’s cool about that is Glenn knows all of this !! That’s what I love! His intellectualism. One of the greatest musicians ever.
@@turtleneckferret - I care, and so does Glenn.
Abt the comment that says ppl either trash glenn or praise him/ he seems to me the type who either likes or respects someone or hates them. Not much grey areas.maybe I just get that because Im the same way, but thats probably why ppl either love or hate him too. He seems fine with that. They asked him what he wants his legacy to be after he's gone& all he said was" I don't really care".I can respect that. And the fact that he never wants a child
awesome interview!!!
London kinda looks like John Travolta as Vincent Vega.
more like harrison ford got into gothic.
Wow, what a great attitude this guy has. This was a good interview, first I've seen of blaringout.
Great interview!
awesome interview. London May seems like a top notch guy.
Distorted Pony “instant winner “ is an awesome record...Cool interview
london May,
set some1 on fire 🔥 myth or not, that's what i heard🎧, and it was during his Samhain days
Hey Eric,
Glenn claimed he wasn't doing a reunion with Jerry (on your show), but that status has _changed_ .
great interview!
Great interview
Very comprehensive overview of this guy's whole career up to this point, by Eric Blair. How someone could have an encyclopedic knowledge of so many bands is beyond me! Great interview!
Tim White yeah it’s pretty cool to see he knows about the mystic bands like rkl too.
Really liked how you asked about Son Of Sam
Awesome awesome Interview, enjoyed every minute
Maybe he didn't want to trash-talk Danzig because of all the things he acknowleged that Danzig did for him.
Put on a show long ago in 1991 or 1992 with London May's noise rock band Distorted Pony ,he was very cool and not a dick and that band killed it!
thanks!
London is the man!
Seems like such a super nice person with good stuff to say about everyone. Love his work in Samhain. Awesome interview!
There is some good stuff in this interview. Its not too heavy, but its fun.
Very well said..
Samhain November Coming Fire 🔥
Void, Faith ✅
What a gentleman.
There's an interview with Glenn from around 1984 or so, I think it's the one with he and Steve (or was it Eerie?) play the rough mix of "Black Dream". I used to listen to it a lot when I was younger, and I noticed Glenn said "Y'know" every other God damn minute. It was pretty amusing, and it's interesting the London seems to do it too, y'know?
Tiger Army with london may was the best Era
Interview Damien!!
You can hear how Glenn pronounces Samhain in the song November's Fire.
for a better pronunciation, please refer to “ Soul on Fire” from the first Danzig album.
He pronounces it that way (“sow-ain”) while referencing the actual Samhain holiday, but when he refers to the band he pronounces it as “Sam Hain”
What a great interview. Saw Danzig Legacy last night and London was awesome.
Outstanding interview!
Dude gives a great interview....love it.
Yep .. auditioned for Danzig.. got the gig .. next rehearsal was a little ruff,, and was out the next day,
@blewcheer he does man he's drumming skills are so tight .
anyone know if he also did the unholy passion version of all hell breaks loose which was also released on the original final descent? curious because since 1990 i have always preferred this version solely because of the drums
@Andrew Hollingshead thanks
What a nice guy, soft spoken.
good ol' London may = )
Great interview. London looks quite the cool guy.
You know... I fucking do now!... haha
cool cool cool thanx
Eric need to do same stuff with Eerie Von!
Nice guy. Interesting interview.
I know
Samhain pronounced- Saween by some.Pronounced Samhain by others. I have been a huge fan of Glenn for over 25 years& every time we met he's been more than polite& wonderful to me.he does seem more relaxed around women though
Who doesn't! Ha
You lucky thing!!! Does he really have a lovely smile IRL?
It in only pronounced "SAMHAIN" by people utterly clueless as to how it is correctly said.
@@slaxxxer lol never heard anyone pronounce it differently.....its a english pronounce. I don't know anyone that understands Gaelic ....everyone says sam-hain. No one says sa-weeen....London May....who was in the fucking band pronounced it Samhain. (Maybe your the hack dudeski)
@@alphacapo I mean if you listen to Soul on Fire you'd know Glen says it the way it should be said, pretty sure it was a conscious choice for the name of the band to be said as it's spelt rather than the correct pronounciation.
@VredesStal Understandable.
top guy
my brother in laws cousin. london may.
Is he doing a ninth doctor cosplay
Rick Rubin killed Samhain. I believe without him Glen would have made much more interesting music. Rick Rubin basically wanted to make Danzig like AC/DC which he was a big fan of.
v. draculesti it's a sell out move in my opinion just like Bob rock with Metallica , the first three Danzig albums musically are well done but compared to Samhain its ACDC
Rick was the best thing that ever happened to Glenn’s music
AC/DC wishes they could make albums like the first couple of Danzig albums!
Danzig’s first three albums are pure gold. Samhain’s November coming fire is amazing 🤘 glad we got all that music from Glenn and everyone who contributed to the misfits, Samhain and Danzig
Man, London May rules.
steve zing played drums on those songs not london
London kinda looks like John Travolta.
she london last night for DANZIG LEGACY!!!
i know
Samhain pronounced Saween by some. Samhain by others.Ive been a huge fan of Glenn for over 25 years& anytime we have met he's always been very polite& wonderful to me.he does seem calmer around women tho.theres nothing wrong with switching genres.Hes also made classical music. What one fan likes another may not. I prefer his later music of Danzig and most say they prefer the first album. My fav band of his was Samhain, and this guy was a great drummer in Samhain on2 of their better albums.
you know!
SAMHAIN
Don't read the "YOU KNOW" comments. It'll make the whole interview hard to listen to, you know?!
London is the (real) reason Glenn changed the band from Samhain to Danzig!. Most don't know that in 1986 Rick Rubin signed "Samhain" and the band was to continue with that name until London was fired and a legal dispute began!. The story has Always been that Glenn changed the name to Danzig as it was a "new band/new chapter" and so that he could "continue on with the band regardless of who was in the band", but the reality is Samhain became Danzig due to legal reasons involving London!..
Mystic samplers were great..
YOU KNOW
Blairing the Fuck Out . this episode is cool ..
You forgot to mention Rat Patrol. The best band since Fear of God.
10:37 no pun intended.
I had a running nose all the time in High School lol in math class it's like where are the tissues !? Use use my sleeve urrgh don't look at me too late
Who else named their cat after London? Me...
ya know
People are always apprehensive to trash talk the Evil Elvis.
SEEN LONDON ON HALLOWEEN FOR DANZIG LEGACY!!
Did anyone else keep replying to "You Know?"...I just kept saying "I know".
Distorted Pony is ok, but I really don't get why people go nuts for Tiger Army.
You know
y'know...uh y'know, y'know
you know
You know? You know. Y'know?
Everyone does it. 'Uh', 'Um', 'Ya know', 'like' is when you're brain is buffering, transitioning to the next thought. The man's a fucking drummer, not a public speaker or professional interviewee.
Better then "ya heard"
R.K.L.
Rich Kids on L.S.D.
Do the band members all pronounce it Samhain? That would be kind of funny because it is actually supposed to be pronounced Sah-win.
Ya' Know?
Cant believe that kitten videos get more view that this.
Really wish I could like this comment twice
Ya know?
London seems like a friendly and cheerful guy. Makes me wonder how he and Glenn were able to work together as long as they did. Lol.
Big respect you were in Samhain but Danzig was eerie glen chuck and John. Who are all these other members you keep referencing like y’all even compared to the original lineup
Like you bein a nerd "Lo-ser"?
I'm glad he wasn't with Dag Nasty in 86, or I would hate him, they aren't good people. I hope he knows that.
This comment has received too many negative votes
hahaha
Dear Lord.. I got here somehow from a random video on Danzig who really I know jackshit about or the bands. Just interested in new things, but just a few minutes in I hear the new worst word. Discord. While randomly watching other non relevant videos these asshats yell to join the discord. I know this guy and his reference doesn't even compare to them, but a word I've heard maybe 3 or 4 times over 20 years I've now heard 50 times in a year
They say London May is still very embarrassed that Danzig got beaten up.
weird
You watch kitten videos? Bwahahaha...you "do" look the type though, must say
