    My mother did a beautiful job allowing me to respectfully present my concerns to her. Mom, resting in heaven.
    I miss you.❤️

    Remember that people pleasing can be HARMFUL to others. People are making plans with you and thinking you are in alignment with them when it’s actually the opposite. It’s almost as damaging as outright lying. No judgement because I’ve been there, as well. Discover your values, release fear, and don’t be afraid to go life alone. Integrity matters most 💕

      It is. It made me think of Prince, probably due to the outfit and hairstyle combo. Think Around the World in a Day. She's naturally beautiful. 🩷💚🩷💚

    Tamrooooonnnn! I was the same with saying yes to many proposals... a true runaway bride. I am now at a place of self-preservation and being okay with saying NO to people in ALLLLLLL aspects of my life. No more people pleasing!!! 💯💯💯

    Start telling these men NO when they decide to propose to you in public. Hate when they do that.

    Why do they keep proposing though? What signals are you sending? Clearly the guys thought you both were on the same page 🤔

    •  12 днів тому +7

      A man’s ego can’t see the forest because of the trees and millions of people are so codependent and they rather be in any relationship than be alone!! Where am the polar opposite if the phone rings even if l know the person there’s more than 50% I won’t pick it up 😂😂😂😂😂

      They probably asked because they were ready. They saw a woman they wanted to married. It doesn't mean she sent confusing signals. I think there's an assumption that woman are dying to get engaged and married. So maybe they weren't paying attention that maybe she wasn't ready for marriage. The topic of marriage needs to be discussed way before getting engaged is considered.

      Some men do it in the moment to distract the woman from his bad character

    Can Tamron do a show on how to get a proposal?

    •  12 днів тому +5

      If that person truly loves you he will propose at some point!! However if you’ve been with someone for more than three years and they haven’t even attempted it!! They gots to go immediately 😂😂😂😂

    • @dannivilledan220
      @dannivilledan220 12 днів тому

      I think what they are saying is that if a woman can get 5 people to propose then she knows something that most women don’t.
      However @kekejefferson9219, it was probably the people pleasing that got her the engagements and had ahead of been true to herself then she would not have had that many. All men would want a beautiful woman who says “yes” to everything they want.

    Wait, why date someone you're not interested in nor attracted to? And as a guy, wouldn't it be pretty obvious that a girl isn't that into you? How would you even get to proposing and the woman not give any signals that she's not interested in marrying you?

  • @AA-qd4pq

    But you COULD say "no" because you DID say no. But only after you took other people through the ringer with a "yes" you knew you didnt mean. I find people pleasing to be often synonymous with inauthentic, disingenuous, and often plain dishonest.

    • @flooredjustfloored
      @flooredjustfloored 10 днів тому +3

      What I think you're missing is that at the root of it is some type of fear. People pleasers are afraid to say "no" for some good reason: parental pressure, societal pressure, religious pressure, etc. It takes hitting rock bottom, which looks different for different people, before they come out with the "no longer give a f***" strength.

    • @AA-qd4pq
      @AA-qd4pq 9 днів тому +1

      @flooredjustfloored My point is not the reasoning behind it. My point is the effect of their decided choice, which they pretend not to have (a choice). Their language reveals an emotional blindness that allows them to excuse their contradictory communication choices that take away someone else's opportunity for informed choice. Even if it's fueled by fear, the results are the same: someone else is misled, essentially lied to.

    • @je39981

      Not that easy. A simple word but hard to do.

    • @AA-qd4pq
      @AA-qd4pq 3 дні тому

      @ I don't think it's a matter of ease or one word. I think it’s about being honest with self early and often and the same with others., which to me is a matter of adulting/ adult emoting: honest expression and candid communication that esteems others equal to self and honors their feelings with transparency as much as one preserves and protects their own feelings with less than forthright communication.

    People pleasing is another branch of codependency!! Which I’ll never understand because am a 95% loner and those you’re trying to appease most likely can’t stand in the first place and the condescending manner they talk to you should let you know immediately they don’t like you and most of all don’t want to be bothered with you !!!

    😮 Promoting normalizing that your children are your peers is just plain and simply wrong and why the world is in trouble behind people pleasing...seeking to please your children as if it's important to be liked by them is actually psychologically and emotionally damaging to both the child and the adult who is not truly parenting. Emotional intelligence and social emotional control skills are significantly important and cannot be mastered or taught effectively through the coping mechanism of a people pleaser...it fosters codependency and other type deviant behavior.
