I think everyone hair could manage with relaxers they just have to be patient and give it the TLC that it needs. Meg took (and still is taking) very good care of her hair when it was relax, people should take tips from her. I still remember that old video when Meg was walking on Melrose in Cali and her hair was tailbone length.😍🥰🌹
      it's still a vibe🔥🔥🔥

Great video as always. Since your trying to reduce the heat on your hair have you thought about getting the RevAir or reaching out to them to see if they would give you one? As large as a following you have I bet they would just give it to you. I have fine relaxed hair and I love my RevAir so far. I am only 4 weeks post and have used it only 4 times. So far it gets my hair straight enough that I do not have to use a flat iron. If your not familiar with RevAir it has a cool, low and high heat setting and the high setting is suppose to be half the heat of a regular blow dryer. I know its expensive but I stretched the payment out or 6 months through PayPal so it will be only around $50 a month and they have another payment plan.

It’s not bad at all, and yours doesn’t look bad either, but anyone have tips on getting the front sides going or growing it to the same length as the rest of your hair? So is it safe to say that in general women of colour, Their hair is susceptible to damage regardless of being natural or relaxed?
I’m so glad you’re documenting your journey. I would have thought that your hair would have been at its healthiest just when you had had a virgin relaxer, not the other way around.
My hair was at its healthiest soon after a virgin relaxer and deteriorated the more I processed and manipulated as a relaxed girl, so most of my work was put into keeping it healthy. I’m grazing arm pit length now, just working on volume and growth.

Martha Belle I only miss how easy it was doing my hair but it made my hair thin & stripped it. 😭

@@monetsodopee do you protect your hair during the relaxer process?
I was watching someone on UA-cam. I wish I had her name but she coats the length of her hair in plain old Vaseline. Then apply the perm. I do the same thing since I saw that vid (a few years ago). My hair is thick from root to tip.
Edit: I forgot to add that the Vaseline acts as a barrier between your hair and the perm. So that way, it's not stripping and thinning your hair.
I'm also tex-laxed. So I put the perm on, smooth out my roots and immediately wash perm out. My roots end up straight and the length of my hair is textured. Sorry for the long reply 😅

Nikki M I tried that before with grease and i don’t like it, I had to keep shampooing my hair just to get all that product out. The perm still made my hair stripy and thin I like my natural curly hair better! But my hair was longer when I had a perm because it was stretching my hair. It looked just like megs

Do you use anything to lighten your underarms. You hardly have any discolouration

Brenda Smith I fixed darkness like this, shave, mix cornmeal and soap scrub, then dry. No deodorant wait then scrub with lemon. Smell good every 3 days darkness gone!. Also some deodorants too strong

optimisticrealism x a valid point but at least she gave it a go before deciding it wasn’t for her 🤷🏾‍♀️ Besides I think a lot of women love a challenge and growing healthy hair keeps things interesting. There’s something satisfying and rewarding seeing your hard work pay off.
