Does anyone here recovering from heat damage and don't plan on straightening their hair any time soon but click on the video because of how beautiful and healthy her hair is? 😩😩😩. Your hair is so beautiful 🥰😘😘
It completes the entire look. I am not ashamed to say I look HORRIBLE with my hair not done, any natural hairstyle, and any ponytail. It drops my confidence so low so I am trying to learn how to do it myself now
Lol yes when I got a natural fro I look like a little kid, then I got a high puff and I just look like me, when I got a blowout tho...o my goshhhh I literally loveeee my blowout hair I literally be feelin my self so hard with that lolll
I hope this video was helpful!! I was trying not to make it to long but I wanted to include what I used to detangle and deep condition because it’s very important to get good results. I got the flat iron like 5 years ago in Target. I couldn't find a link to it so i don't think they sell it anymore (flat iron model # in description) I tried to straighten my hair about 6 months ago and the results were horrendous 😂 so I wanted to be detailed to help y’all out lol. Make sure you share the video if you like it 😊😊❤️❤️
Maybe you could do a “ how I got my hair to bounce back from head damage “ kind of video . I literally did the same thing last week flat ironing with oil and my hair is so mad at me 😂
Where can I get that blow dryer? My concentrator nozzle always comes off 🤦🏽 great technique too btw 👌🏽 it came out looking SO pretty & professional 😍guess I'ma have to spend my coins on that CHI 👀
Oooooo the temptation!!! 😂😫 Your results are perfect! This is exactly what I used to do in my 20s but I did it every wash day. 🤦🏿♀️ As I transitioned, I did it way less and my newgrowth thrived. If anybody is scared to do this a couple times a year, don't be!! We gotta enjoy our versatility and this is the move. Great video. 👏🏿💜
I don't have the time of the energy to do it I just rather pay of course I have real fine hair but I really just pay a beautician to do that I mean anybody will I take that back anybody can't wash and condition their hair the correct way but I can and I'll just go to a beautician and let them do that they're getting my hair is is fine but I don't think you can get a straight press like that without putting some type of heat to it and everybody you know there's a controversy about the perms and how it affects your health so a lot of the ladies are going to transition to a silk wrap even if you decide not to put on a flat iron or curling iron to it I mean you don't have to put some kind of straightener products on it and at least get under a hoodie dryer there's just no way for your hair to be that Curly and you go straight with no heat I don't think so I think that's just the aftermath after using some type of heat to it maybe a minimum amount of heat I can believe that but this that's just too much work or extra 30 or $40 is not going to make a break me you know doing a heat wrap or with a flat iron or a straightening comb it's healthy I guess than doing a perm but I think she put some type of heat to her hair that's just the aftermath and they are getting it may be a minimum amount of heat
I usually straighten my hair every couple of months, and it never turned out right. It kinda looked similar to your blowdried hair. I’m straightening my hair next week. This video really helped me learned what I was doing wrong, so hopefully it turns out right!
OMG!! THIS LOOKS LIKE YOU HAD IT DONE AT A SALON!!! 😳❤️❤️❤️ THIS IS GORGEOUS!! You know how much money I could save if I could do this!!?!!?? When I blow dry, my roots are still puffy with frizz at the end and it doesn’t lay down smooth and shiny. Keep up the excellent work! You’re beautiful!
I wasn't even looking for a silk press tutorial but the second I saw your curls I had to keep watching. It was worth it.. Your hair is beautiful, and so are you 🌸🌸
This is the best silk press tutorial I’ve seen!! Thank you for being so detailed! And your results are absolutely beautiful!!! Most people don’t say what settings they used on their flat iron but makes a huge difference. Again... thank you!
This just saved my life! I needed to get a silk press and everyone kept last minute canceling on me.. Time to do this myself, wish me luck lol you look amazing 😍
i hate making multiple comments but you made a REALLY good point...i have found to have more issues with heat damage from OIL + HEAT rather than HEAT itself. Using a light weight heat protectant and then making sure I use protein soon after heat styling has been better for my hair than applying a bunch of stuff to my hair when straightening...it took me a while to realize that.
Hair was on point hon.Your is soo healthy and heat damaged free. I tried to give myself a silk press and I failed epically. I know what I did wrong though. I didn't blow dry my hair out as thoroughly as a possible. I didn't section my hair and I put too many products in it. I'm learning as I go though. I do know what products and methods work for my kinky hair. Straightening my hair is a while new territory for me. I do notice that I have to put my hair up on a high temperature setting to get to straighten. Thanks for the tips and keep up the good work. I'm hoping my hair turns out something similar to yours. Wish me luck!!!!
Your natural hair is just as beautiful as your straightened hair. Gorgeous styles. I have Type 4c hair and it doesn’t look that good in its natural state. When I straighten it, the hair is either stiff and dry or soft but limp.
So interesting that you mentioned a smaller flat iron. I also was going to suggest that for straightening because years ago I had seen somewhere that said the flat iron should match the width of the hair section you are using it on.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I've tried to straighten my daughter's hair a couple times in the past but I made dumb mistakes like putting cream in it afterwards (I know, I know.......I know) lol. My daughter is mixed and has insanely curly hair and I couldn't anyone on UA-cam who had hair similar to hers...except for you. I also really appreciate you showing the detangling brush you use, I'm scooping that up on Amazon RIGHT now. As a dad who is constantly trying to improve my haircare skills for my daughter's sake, this video is exactly what I needed. BTW, my daughter was like "What the heck, she's soooo pretty! She looks like a kindergarten teacher!" Lol
As soon as the video started I thought...WOW! Her hair is gorgeous! Then it went to when your hair was straight and that was gorgeous too! You have the best of both worlds as well as being very pretty.
Beautiful hair!!!! I used to put a ton of grease in my hair before using heat tools. I’m glad to have learned something new so I don’t continue a bad habit. Thanks for sharing!
Let me tell you something… your video is PERFECTION!!!💯💯💯🔥 Straight to the point Detailed Honest I didn’t mind not skipping ahead Great job and hair is ♥️🔥♥️🔥
This video made me so happy lol. First of all our hair is EXACTLY the same. Second we flat iron our hair in the EXACT same order and Portion of parts. Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
You did an awesome job! I big chopped in 2016 and still haven't had the courage to straighten my hair. I just may do it before the end of the month...and refer back to this video❤️
What the mess! My nubian sister, you have a beautiful head of hair. It was so perfect at the straightening that it looked like a wing and then you went a step higher and threw in the curls! Beautiful! Stay proud
@Maurice Sherwood Yeah you are wrong. Because her comment clearly stated that she feels as if 3C hair is not good hair. Hey, I'm new to your channel. You and your hair are beautiful. You are one of those pretty girls that really don't need makeup at all. Your skin looks really good.
We be tryna keep things simple with just curls but even then it takes awhile🤧 still people always ask "why don't you straighten your hair it was so pretty" like I don't always have three hours to spare
You can save a lot of additional time and effort by: - brushing /combing in a leave-in conditioner with a medium-wide tooth comb - wrap and scarf your hair then dry it naturally / under a dryer. *Advantages - This reduces the duration of heat required afterwards. - Also means you do not need to expose your hairline to the straightener/hot iron. So beautiful before and after! I have hip length natursl hair and I DON'T like bone straight hair either. I do the ponytail set method under a hooded ionic dryer then hit the wavy roots with a pressing comb or flat iron. I need a 2inch ceramic flat iron badly😣. Your skin and makeup are beautiful😍👑
Natural curly hair was beautiful. Looked like she had a twist out. I wish my wash and go would look like that. Please share the type of shampoo and conditioner you use.

Thank you so much! i was excited when i saw that he reacted to my video. From beginning to end including washing and a 30-45 minute deep condition, it usually takes about 2.5 to 3 hours.
I really enjoyed your video. Yes you hit your hair many times but it turn out gorgeous and you look amazing with or without make up. I love how they speak negative about black women but you represent us well from Detroit Mi
Your look is the exact look I am going for. The natural hair style that looks relaxed. Excellent video. What brand curling iron did you use? Can I purchase it on Amazon? How much does it retail for?
okay first of all your natural hair gurlllll so beautiful and healthy. Those coils 😍😍😍 When i do press my hair i use b&b castor oil hair lotion, fantasia heat protectant hair polisher, and softee hair grease that is pretty much it. I deep condition or use a hair mask. My hair always has great results. Deep conditoning and hair masks make a huge huge difference.👌👌👌

Your hair looks shiny, healthy and the color is poppin! Great job Shakira!💜
