My mom's half Maine Coon boys got their first ones at 8-10 weeks (the person we got them from lied to us and sold them at 5 weeks) , and it doesn't stress them out in the slightest to wear it, but gives SO much more control over them. I'll be harness training every cat I get from this point on, given that it's proven so helpful.
YO ADRIAN I DID IT
he’s so chatty! And so round and fluffy…..
That´s how a cat in distress sounds like.
Imagine yourself calling for help because you´re in distress and someone wo doesn´t know your language calls that chatty.
@@Christopher_Giustolisi well cats dont understand the complexities of human language so she might be ok
Actually maine coons are known to be quite vocal and chatty even when not unhappy.
@@itsmxtwist I know. I had one but she only sounded like this when she was in distress.
@@Christopher_Giustolisi yeah this guy is kinda grumpy, but that’s just a he’s getting a bath. It’s kinda funny at the end how he walks into the carrier and meows for it to be closed
I adore how vocal he is. Absolutely adorable 😂
1:05 why he meowing like Gary the Snail.
his meows 😭
LOVE Maine Coons! And this guy is adorable and hysterical; especially when he put himself into his carrier, as if saying: “I’ve had enough!”😅
Dunno about all that, I thought it was gonna go for her at one point!
That’s not a Maine coon 😂😂😂 just a domestic long hair.
Me too, my old girl (dog) actually will somewhat behave herself with them, lol! Normally she spazzes tf out around cats, making it quite frightening for them to be around her. But with a maine coon she knows she can get a whoopin so she's behaved.
He’s well tempered though. Just protesting with his meows lol.
@@rachelm9886The title says mainecoon, so the owners probably know the kind of cat it is and told the groomer so.
3:00 he's SO FLUFFY! :O :D And he's so gentle! He looked so angry but his meows sounded so cute (;o;)
His meow sounds like an upset kid I love it 😂
That´s because the cat is terrified. So you love animals getting terrified?
@@Christopher_Giustolisi Obviously not 🙄
@@Christopher_Giustolisi refusing to keep your cat clean and healthy would be animal abuse. Do you think that’s good? 😧😧😧😧
@@bubbybubbybubbyy Cats clean themselves and don´t have to be bathed to be healthy. They hate getting wet. You would´ve know these things if you ever had a cat
Vanessa: It's OK.
Newton: NOOO!
Vanessa: You're OK!
Such an upset boi! But I’m glad he didn’t end up stress panting. Also glad you weren’t ended by him!
I don't think Newton misses any meals😂 What a glorious cat! He would be a great cuddle buddy ❤
Better have the A/C on though. 🥵🥵
@@KindCountsDeb3773 haha true!
That's not fat; that's ALL fur.
@@catwhispurrer137 you can tell he is hefty when she is bathing him and drying him. Healthy cat, fur sure 😉
but a fluffy hippo😭😭😭😭😭
Amazed that he was (really) so calm (considering his mild stress vocalizations) during the whole event - even being good enough to self-crate up and be ready to get back home ...
Stressed cats will often run into the carrier at the first opportunity.
@@juliac3933 that body language didn’t really advertise stress. Was likely just tired and/or wanted to go home.
some cats are just really vocal also
@@Silentguy_ Very much wanted to go home :)
That cat knows exactly what it means to go into that carrier. He goes in, he comes out into the world and when he goes back inside he comes back home.
Oh my! He is beautiful. I love Maine Coons and Norwegian Forest cats.
There’s just so Much of him🫢 Gorgeous boy, he wasn’t happy with his grooming but he never got sassy🥰🥰
That face is so friendly looking 😊
What a beautiful big floof. Gotta say, he seems to have been a breeze compared to some of the dogs you've highlighted lately. And he's one of the few cats whose meow actually sounds like he's saying "Meow"!
Need help to groom your pets better. Like this comment.
I don’t know, for a cat he’s being INCREDIBLY well behaved. I thought my cat was easy to trim the nails of but even that takes 2 people!
I love how easily he goes into the travel carrier. "Get me out of this horrible place!"
BIG paws, what a hoss.
Edit: His meows made my Maine Coon look around to see who was in distress.
Also got the attention of an 11lb, 5kg, orange tabby moggie here. (different amount of cat but similar amount of hair!) Grumman got up and come over to this laptop.
My two criminals feigned indifference yet licked their paws in depraved glee.
I love how he's ready to home.
No hesitation when entering his cage.
So cute, he was meowing the whole time, being noisy like a Huskie 🤗
And so big in the tub...😍 Much fluff to cuddle with 💕
You have no idea. And they can be real snuggle-bugs. But, man, do they get hot when they sleep on your neck, head, or chest.
They are vocal and emotional like Huskies and sweet as Saint Bernards . I have two and a third rescue cat who clearly speaks another language
I had one for 15 years. Looks and sounds exactly like Newton. They are extremely smart and can be trained. Mine on her own decision she wanted to walk on the treadmill like we did. She would sit on I and stare at you until you turned it on. She would walk and then jump off when done with her workout. Miss her soooo bad even after 4 years. 💜💜
He was talkative, but, I think he was also resigned to the fact it was gonna happen. He also seems to have liked it.
He's adorable. ❤
As a Main Coon owner, I can tell you that mine also is a huge fluffy baby. who will protest but always gently/non-violently and forgives very quickly. MC's have such beautiful dispositions.
Ew
(01:45) _“Trying to get away would be quite the exertion for this fluffy hippo.“_
You just called Newton a _horse._
“Hippo“ is the Greek word for horse. I too predict there will _beaucoup_ urination later....
As a cat he was very well behaved. He's not a hippo he's fluffy!
He's not fat. He's made different life choices.
I have a maine coon that Newton is fat
I love how his tone gets lower as the grooming progresses, then just shoots back up to baby pitch. 😂
😂 i laughed out loud when you said "stay"
He was pretty well behaved tbh. He put up with it for a while and when he had enough, only tried to give a warning scratch and bite.
The final scene...getting zipped up in the pet carrier 🤣 Such luxurious fur 🥰 The soulful meows from Newton...were so cute.
I know you go through a lot of trouble with these dogs and cats but, they all come out looking great! And, even though I can't smell them, smelling great too! I know when I tried to groom my cat years and years ago it was a real hand full for me as well. Have a great day and keep on grooming!
Newton in the happy hoodie with his eyes bugged and his looooong white whiskers is a whole mood.... thanks for sharing!!!!
I'm dying over here. @1:53 he looks like a pillow
He went back iinto the carryon like " LET ME HOME "
I love Maine Coon cats so much, especially the really big ones. I love the reaction people have when they see the those mini tigers
his meow sounds like a person trying to meow at a cat i love him so much 😭
I did not expect that weird meow from this huge cat!
I love how this cat just doesnt want a bath but is still sitting through it
I ❤love how fluffy he was after the blower. You accentuate his girth 😂😂 that’s one poofy cat 🐱
His meow is so precious 😭
1:28 Those eyes have seen clear to the end of the universe 😳😉
1:10 No... NO... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😂 😂 He's so funny. Such a cutie pie.
Most Cats:
*_Cat sounds that can't exactly be turned into typable words_*
This one:
"Meow."
He has the cutest meow I’ve ever heard, I’d talk to him all day ❤
My boy, a Russian Blue, has the same pitch when taking a bath. Only took 2 baths so far in his 5 years but boy... the entire apartment building knew something was going on 😅
And he does the same thing when we go to the vet: hard to get him out of the carrier and onto the table but when it's time to go back home, he can't get fast enough in the carrier 😆
Cats are such characters!
I love maine coons, had one a couple of years back. Theyre great cats and i love how huge they get but holy hell are they a lot of maintenance. Its basically a cat you have to groom like a dog, and good luck if you get one that doesnt sit still like this guy
What a sweet little meow he has. (When he's not declaring his in-progress "murder") Such a cute baby boy.
Yes, those meows! Newton is scarily close to speaking Engish. 😄 He is indeed rotund, but not *quite* as bad as his bounteous fur makes him look. I think he lost at least 5 pounds while wet, LOL. Beautiful boy. He has such a sweet face.
i dont come here for cats but ive never rewatched a video so instantly just to listen to the cats meows - they're hilarious and weird and make me like cats more (if only my bf wasnt allergic and my mom not terrified lol)
Right? His meows are so funny and pleasantly distinctive. He was pretty well-behaved even though he wasn't exactly fond of his situation. 😂
I know a couple who have two Maine Coon. One never leaves the house and is terribly anxious, the other walks up and down the street like a dog adopting whichever neighbour happens to be passing by. He really is huge and the most dog like cat ever that just chills with anyone who will spend time with him.
I love Maine coons and Norwegian forest cats so much, they are the best ❤
He really just smacked you though 😂
and siberians! also part of the forest cat family, and pretty similar, although the smallest of the 3, they all have the same meows lol, perfect babies
He's a big lad!
That is one properly risen loaf.
"Fluffy hippo" killed me
Newton is absolutely adorable!
That is a tank of a kitty, love Maine Coons
😇 He was an angel at the end. Happy to go home. 😂
When cats are vocal you can generally go for 2 things:
1. is the initial pitch high then drops? low threat (confusion, insecurity)
2. is there little change in pitch? high threat (made up mind, opinionated, next step - claws)
0:17 Such a beatiful meow.
0:50 I think you need a bigger bath. "If it fits I sits" is at work here.
1:26 He looks absolutely ridiculous in the hoodie with his eyes bulging out.
2:02 Watching him try to slide away from you during the brushing reminds me of what my own cat does.
2:48 Angry, also food.
3:03 I think he also needs a bigger kitty carrier. Having to tuck his tail in to fit him also reminds me of my own cat.

Vanessa sounds more like a cat than the cat. The cat sounds like a human saying “meow”
its like someone tries to punch you really slowly while they are drunk
It's a good thing you knew all the right things to do to keep this from getting ugly! ❤
"Fluffy hippo" got me. Love your commentary. Very clever
So vocal, and what a classic meow 😊
Such a cute cat! Great work as always
his meows start off all high pitched and quite happy, then they get deeper and deeper until the end. He really suits his name. what a cutie
He’s sooooo cute and fluffy and his sad meows were so cute. I love main coons.
We had a Maine Coon mix growing up and he sounded just like Newton! This brought back so many memories😂
