Heard a bridal consultant help a bride decide between two dresses this way: Close your eyes and imagine. It's the morning of your wedding. Hair is done, makeup on and you're ready to dress. You open your closet door and hypothetically, these two dresses are there, side by side. Which one do you put your hands on first? That one is your dress.

5 months that’s nothing compared to other brides who need dresses for the same day or within a week or month

It is one of the most obvious signs of anabolic steroid abuse in both men and women. She is unfortunately showing very classic signs of steroid abuse, even the look of her skin. She has still worked hard to get her physique, but definitely with the aid of anabolic steroids.

The dress she chose looks like it fits her right off the hanger. These shows never talk about alteration costs but she'll save a bundle not having to get anything altered. A dress in her price range that needed to be taken in and has two or three layers (lace, fabric, lining maybe) could cost the same at the end of the day.

I feel confused as to why they couldn’t show her more dresses? I’ve seen other brides elsewhere that need dresses for two weeks have more choice than this. Seems a bit unfair. A few more options and I think she would’ve found one she loved.
This is definitely my least favourite place for say yes to the dress :((

I choked when he said the first dress was “in budget” only for it to be over 300 pound out of budget. I see that “in budget” now is apparently “in whatever budget we can milk out of our clients”

@@GadereneLegion I understand, it’s just the way that he said it was in budget when it was not. It would’ve been nice if they could’ve shown her at least one dress that was not 100+ over what she wanted to stay under.
The bride said, up front, she could stretch a little. When they told her the price, she said “a little over” and no hesitation.
@@kitty62862 yeah, I’m glad for her that the “stretch” was not a problem. However, when most people say they’re willing to “stretch”, it’s usually not 300+. This edition of the show specifically is notorious for going over budget no matter what. I just find it slightly disrespectful of them to do that, because this woman would’ve been heartbroken if the stretch was more than what she was willing to do. It all ended fine in the end, it’s just that the dress was not “in budget” like he said. 1000 was the budget. That dress was in the wiggle room.

I know. I like lace and tulle and would want to try them, but I also like the classic satin dresses like this one. Of course, I don't know whether my budget can afford a quality simple dress. Fabric is important.
The mom and daughters have an endearing bond. She looked happy and seems like a kind person, underconfident glad the daughter made her feel like a princess (a dream she didn't get the first time)👏😇

@@eggplanthose I agree, to an extent. Some are quite pricey, but I’ve seen some amazing ones that shocked me, how low they were. If I ever lost my mind and decided to get married, that’s where my money is going.

Not that she has time to order. Not every sample in the shop can be sold, right off the rack. If it’s one they know they can’t order in time, and can’t sell the sample, they don’t show it to her.

I think she should go for a really nice lace veil. It would bring the lace in and because the dress has no lace and only that bit of sparkle, it wouldn't conflict.

tbh, if that shop didnt have something with lace, she should have looked elsewhere. 5 months and 1k is fine, it is not a disaster, they just do not want to have 2 many dresses in stock and prefer to be able to order them AFTER they are bought. It does not work like that around the world.

I don’t always understand when people say they’re “confused”. I know what I like, and even if I hear what someone else likes, I still know what I like and am not confused.
Loved all the dresses. My personal favorite was the long lace one, but the satin dress with pockets and ultra-flattering neckline was timeless elegance. Great at any age. Entourage was close and supportive. The moment with the second bride and her grandma was extremely touching. The Love and joy between them was tangible. Beautiful.
Wow..bride no.1 looking absolutely stunning in her gown, the gown looked great on her figure. She had very supportive family.
Bride no.2 she also looked amazing and the tiara is just a beautiful reminder of her grandmother, who also wore the tiara on her wedding day.

You have no idea how many dresses she may have tried on that were edited out. Maybe it came down to these two. She did say she was tall, so adding length to a dress is a considerable cost. Don't believe everything that's shown in a video is actually everything.
I think this one was the perfect one. It was the style she envisioned as she didn't have a wedding dress first time around, but this is still age appropriate so she doesn't look like mutton dressed as lamb, I think it ticks all the boxes without the compromise

To help someone decide between different looks, each person in the entourage should take a picture of the bride in each dress. This way, if the bride is having trouble deciding, she can compare the pictures side by side instead of being able to see only one at a time.
We took a picture of every dress. We did five shops in two days and I think I tried 12 dresses. Only went with mom and sister. Narrowed it down to two and had my father chose between my two favorites. I only had eight months. We got engaged in early November but he didn’t give me a ring until the end of December and I didn’t want to wait another year (we had been together six already) so I made myself pick one that weekend.

Because she was an older bride I expected to want her in a fitted dress more. Since a lot of ball gowns look very young. But plain ivory gown she chose actually looked more "age appropriate" than the stark white mermaid.
Love the dress design for the bride, but not so keen on the ivory with her skin tone tbh - and the veil was too white for the ivory dress.

Some brides seem to fall in love with how a dress makes their body look, instead of the dress itself.
If I found a dress that made me look slim and hide the pooch, I'd probably just be noticing that.
Is there something wrong with that? Any piece of clothing can make your body appear worse than it really is or better. That's what fashion sense is all about. If you are overweight you don't wear horizontal stripes; If you are skinny you don't wear vertical stripes. It doesn't matter what the colors are or the widths of the stripes or the kind of fabric or cut of the garment.
I think this girl would make an amazing redhead/ strawberry blonde. She has nice freckles and I think the dark is too flat on most people. Even the sister’s chocolate colour would work better.

I'm surprised more people aren't commenting the first bride's obvious steroid abuse that has drastically changed her face. Above all I'm surprised at the commenters who are "envious" of her figure. It's not an enviable or healthy kind of "fit".
I do like the way her arms and shoulders look but it's very possible you are correct. years ago I worked out in a body building gym and there was a woman on steroids that competed. Of course when she was close to competition her body fat percent would be extremely low which would contribute to the look. Their faces look almost identical.

I'm binge watching Yes to the dress. What shocked me was the 1st bride at her age wanted to be in a dress a 20 year old would wear. The dress chosen was more appropriate for a 2nd wedding at her age. Her budget was way low. She was lucky to find anything off the rack that beautiful at that price.

I feel so sorry that she didn't even try on what she wanted, a lace ballgown dress. The dress she chose was amazing and she looked stunning in it but just for the sake of waiting so long and then not even try on such a dress she imagined. I would have tried no matter what even though she couldn't pick better.
I'm so glad we have bridal boutiques here where you walk in , look at all of the dresses yourself and pick one. When the consultants give you 2 or 3 dresses to choose from it's awful.

I think the toile voile tulle combo idea is likely but toile is actually a word. It is a rougher fabric. Often used at the planning stage of the dress. In French it means hessian or canvass. I really doubt she wanted a dress in that though. Normally people are debating of the US or Uk pronunciation of tulle as like two or chew at the start x peace out
