The class system in the UK is different to anywhere in world in that it's based on how one was raised. So while she is royalty and her children are royalty, she'll always be middle-class too.

I remember when I chose my wedding dress it didn’t fit, I was too fat, the lady of the store told me they could adjust it, I replied “NO I will drop my weight”. She looked at me like “yeah right”. I tried it again within some months, and it fit! The lady was so surprised! I refused to look fat at my wedding. In total I drop nearly 5 stone in 5 months.

Girl she most definitely isn't slim and apart from diet, nothing's gonna change that. Yet she still felt slim and beautiful which means she's still curvy and accepting it. Feeling curvy is different from just being completely fat and letting your rolls hang out. She has extra weight but she owned it and got a dress that cinched it up and shows her curves sexily. I relate to this girl so much!! I wanted sleeves just like Kate's dress, but after 3 appointments I still hadn't fallen in love with a dress. I started to feel discouraged and confused and feared I would end up settling. At the end of my 3rd appointment my mother brought in this dress that was NOTHING like what I thought I wanted. It was strapless and I, being self-conscious about my arms, was not into the dress at all! But she convinced my to at least try it on so I reluctantly obliged. As soon as I walked out of the fitting room and onto the platform and I fell in love with it! I said "YES" within just a few minutes of being in the dress and then I didn't want to take it off! I am so excited to walk down the aisle next year in it!

So not true. My husband has the sole right on the money he makes through his hard work. I make my own money and we both share in family responsibilities but there have been times when I've been unemployed and I had to take money from him (which he gave away freely and happily). Never, even in those circumstances could I call his money mine. There are many self respecting women who will take offense to what you wrote.

You're ... the banks.” I would never assume the woman doesn't work and even if she doesn't I wouldn't think that would devalue her opinion as the bride's mother.

I remember when I chose my wedding dress it didn’t fit, I was too fat, the lady of the store told me they could adjust it, I replied “NO I will drop my weight”. She looked at me like “yeah right”. I tried it again within some months, and it fit! The lady was so surprised! I refused to look fat at my wedding. In total I drop nearly 5 stone in 5 months.

Girl she most definitely isn't slim and apart from diet, nothing's gonna change that. Yet she still felt slim and beautiful which means she's still curvy and accepting it. Feeling curvy is different from just being completely fat and letting your rolls hang out. She has extra weight but she owned it and got a dress that cinched it up and shows her curves sexily. Nothing wrong with trying to go for traditional beauty standards of being slim and sexy

I relate to this girl so much!! I wanted sleeves just like Kate's dress, but after 3 appointments I still hadn't fallen in love with a dress. I started to feel discouraged and confused and feared I would end up settling. At the end of my 3rd appointment my mother brought in this dress that was NOTHING like what I thought I wanted. It was strapless and I, being self-conscious about my arms, was not into the dress at all! But she convinced my to at least try it on so I reluctantly obliged. As soon as I walked out of the fitting room and onto the platform and I fell in love with it! I said "YES" within just a few minutes of being in the dress and then I didn't want to take it off! I am so excited to walk down the aisle next year in it!
This dress is gorgeous! They should show this dress to everyone who's stuck unable to pick something. It's like impossible not to like it.
