I think they need to take this setting and concept and make it something separate from call of duty and focus more on the space battle stuff
I agree the game wouldn’t have all the h8 if it did that
Play Freespace 2. Older game but a lot like this.
@@0utc4st1985 yeah ! i am playing right now the colossus - sathanas mission! (poor colossus )
Yeah sonething like ace combat but with space ships from the iw universe
Give them the Star Fox license.
Most negative reviews ive seen were for multiplayer. I heard the campaign was praised.
Dreadfort serjeant-at-arms honestly never played online .
Compared to BF I usually say COD has better stories . (Excluding BO3 wasn't a fan)
The complete opposite of Cod WWII. Blops 4 has ditched singleplayer completely LMAO.
Never did mp. Usually a campaign type of guy, and I liked it. Usually don't play CoD at all.
The single player had flaws, but it was much better than people gave it credit for.
@@roberthinojosa6824 how can personal preference be wrong?
The ascent into orbit is such an amazing scene!
Cuz it was happening in real time during gameplay unlike starfield which was a cutscene
Not ironically, this is better than Starfield battle
Yup
If you expand on this mode, add different ships, weapon upgrade, etc. It could be its own stand alone game and it would be so good
Honestly, they really should've just made their own thing instead of making it Call of Duty. I think that was the problem.
More missions because secondary missions are same
Just like the Game command and conquer 4 . The arena style was damn good but it shd not be called command and conquer

The world: This is not the Call of Duty I know and love :(
Me, a space nerd: I was never interested in Call of Duty until now.
Same. Until I saw this video I never had interest. I play Halo and No Mans Sky and stuff partially because I love the sci fi genre (and I love Halo in general).
It came to us non-CoD fans in joy then it disappeared forever, like the ships going to space
According to the development team, the designs of the spaceships are inspired from the helicarriers in the Avengers
I’m quite certain the designer said they’re just based on normal aircraft carriers, also shield’s heli carrriers are mostly just normal carriers with huge rotors, nothing creative about them
this is a game every Star Wars fan boy should get now
Zachary Jochumsen this isn’t much like Star Wars, it’s nearly identical to halo.

I'm a Star Wars freak and I love Call Of Duty Sci-Fi version
I highly disagree.
I don’t care what others say about this game I love it beings that’s it’s all futuristic and such!
Most people ( including me ) were completely turned off by the official "trailer". We just simply weren't ready to depart from MW to the future like this!! So we all assumed it was shit!! So none of us bought it at launch.
Few years after the game came out, I finally watched the walkthrough. And from that point on, I was hooked to it and felt stupid to have misjudged the game on a whim. Right now, I finally bought it and playing it. And I'm loving it with passion!! Damn! Really too bad that we ignored the game straight away when it came out. But again, it was just too soon for us to jump that far ahead into the future.
But they did it right though! The Campaign is truly Goddess! And ultimately l, it does have indeed a touch of the old MWs. They truly nailed the atmosphere in this game.
Me too
multiplayer is bad but i enjoyed a lot the campaign and loved all the space stuffs and the possibility to take decision
Till this day at the date of July 2023, I am still enjoying this game so much. This is is so unforgettable! Truly still when comes to this scene I purposely set to max volume just to enjoy the rocket propulsion, the soundwaves of the Sonic booms from their thrusters is really fantastic.
the F-Spar from Olympus Mons is also one of the Best too
I remember watching this everyday years ago really fun to watch and nice scenes
damn coolest level in entire of COD history bruh
A Battlestar Galactica game in this style would be great.
doubleP duuuuuude that's an awrsome idea
look up Star Citizen
Hunter6213 still not the same as flying a viper though.
Imagine a Halo Battlestar Galactica crossover
@@mariobadia4553 That's a disaster in the making. The Twelve Colonies is full of fanatical religious BS that would declared war against UNSC. Reasons? Artificial Intelligence and UEG refusal to cede their independence in being annexed by a backwatered civilization that have too much religion fanaticism. UNSC would win anyway since unlike the Twelve Colonies doctrine by close combat in space, UNSC prefer in a long-range simulation. They could also go undetected using Slipspace. And UNSC AI are more effective than the Cyclons and mainframes that the Twelve Colonies have. Don't forget the Spartans that could take a whole army of normal marines.
This was really fun to play.
The scenario was really cliche but the campaign in general was really enjoyable. Too bad it was so badly received.
The campaign was wonderful
I can't be the only one disappointed by the aesthetic this game created only being used once and thrown out. So much of this game nails that military science fiction style that I love. The ship designs are beautiful and feel like something an actual military would utilize, and I'm sorry but WHAT? Call of Duty, out of every mainstream science fiction franchise I can think of, Call of Duty is the one that depicts starships that use underside thrusters to hover and not some anti-gravity space magic? I mean, sure, the rest of the sides don't seem to have braking thrusters, but that little bit of thought put in that so many other franchises just skip over makes me really wish this game was its own franchise and not a one-off Call of Duty game. It definitely has its issues, but this was one of the most fun campaigns I've played.
If they ever decide to return to the futuristic format I think people will react positively this time.
Truly I'm sick of boots on the ground shit.
Such an underated game. If they could have made a spin off stand alone game set in this universe, it be great. I loved that you could chose your mission on the bridge.
Imagine if Infinite Warfare had a battle royale
Looks like Call of Duty called it. Space Force better be like this
And here I thought this was Battlefront
To people saying there's no sound in space, everyone is wearing helmets that use Sound Simulation.
Fun fact. I don’t know when, but in a scene when you put on your helmet a small text on the helmets hud will say sound simulation enabled or something like that
@@BobaIsBees I REMEMBER THAT cause I used the same argument during a gameplay trailer.
It was always shown when Reyes put on the helmet inside his figher, just before the launch. ^^
@@LtCWest where can I find that
@@gemini3697 Tbf, I dont remember if it was in the main game, but the "Ship Assault" gameplay trailer from 2016 had some markings at around 1:47. After Reyes puts on his helemt you see 2 flashing notes on top of the screen. [Laser Microphone Array Engaged] and [Artificial Audio Generation Engaged].
Call of duty:star wars
Imagine a multiplayer space battle
It would be fun but they would still would find anything to wine about😕
Everybody gangsta till an imperial star destroyer drops from hyperspace
tbh bro..i really hope they make a special mp mode where we can use this bad boi in battle.. like WOWS but in space :D
This game got a lot of hate because it was too futuristic compared to other the COD games. I’m one of the few people that actually enjoyed it.
I only got it 2 weeks ago and I just love every bit of it. Does not deserve the hate
The sound design in this game is fucking amazing.
If this game was just called “infinite warfare” and didn’t have the COD name attached, only with “from the makers of COD” this game would’ve sold faster than hot cakes.
Like other people are saying this needs to be it’s own entity and be a space-to-ground with the rights to have multiple players and big maps like Battlefield.
Battlefront III Legacy mod for Battlefront 2005 has this feature, but I also wish COD did that too in Warzone or at least in this game, that would be epic. :)
One of the thing that i love about this game is the fact that it takes place at the same universe as the modern warfare trilogy
really,? what are some of the connections or references?
Please prove it.
I love anything Sci-Fi
i wish they made more space mission as a matter fact make a whole new game just with space mission only but non the less i enjoy playing it
I've always loved SciFi and space battles. That's why infinite is my favourite COD
I really like the ships they are very cool. Especially the Battlecruiser's.
With the 2019 engine they could probably level up if they ever make another Infinite Warfare, Imagine Ground War mode but on space, call it “Orbital domination” or something, then players fight to dominate different small space stations orbiting planets and can go in and out of fighters
I regret making fun of this back in the day
I was so wrong about Infinite Warfare's campaign
Much better space battle game !!
You want a real space battle game? Star Citizen.
Yes, Bad Badger. I DO want Star Citizen!!! Do you have access to it?... Does anyone? Is it at even available now? Cause, if the answer is "no," then maybe it doesn't count.
Drinner D the full game? Still not finished, but with the release of 3.0 you can trade, carry cargo, raid other people's freighters, along with a few other new things. It's already an amazing space game, even if they never finish it. So to answer your question, yes, I have access to it.
@@RhodesianBushmaster not everyone can afford 200$ for a decent ship
Star Wars!
Not adding this scenario to the multiplayer mode is one of the worst mistake that COD has ever done.
Such and underrated campaign loved the fucking robot.
This is where the fun begins
- youngling slayer
It's really cool how all the ships still use basic rocket launches to leave atmo.
Cus it's convenient to use rather than energy weapon like particle beams and plasma weaponry that needs a lot of time to fire.
Even using a railgun on a spaceship that big can temporarily shut down it's power just to fire a few shots.
Probably the developers take inspiration to the EXPANSE series where humanity is a type 1 civilization but still use conventional weapon such as bullets, rockets, missiles and more projectile base weaponry.
Even the railgun was there.
My favourite battle in entire Call Of Duty
Reminds me a little bit of Freespace. Ah, good old days...
Halo 6 looks awesome!
lol
Hahaha
Ironically the next Halo game is called Halo infinite
will be a shared world shooter destiny style no doubt in my mind.
Halo 6 hasn't been launched yet
I would love for them to do an rts version of this game
Now That's A Game, LoL Thumbs Up LoL
so, based on the map, for before the 23rd century we already solved the problem with the space scrap and the satellites? yay

What sucks is the Xbox you got to have internet for it to go away to play whatever happened to the old single player disc like the 360 in the first one that everybody's got internet
Get a job.
I know man. I just ended up taking mine to my grandparents house cuz they had super fast WiFi. After it’s done you don’t need to update it agian
COD finally reached a fictional genre where all their over the top horseshit finally made sense, and everyone shit on it and ruined an amazing thing...sigh. The 1 COD I actually liked.
Anyone could hate this game for everything but they have to admit this mission and the cutscene was insane
Star wars
The cities hasn't changed
i remember this game i finish it in a day lol
There's this youtuber who made a gameplay through the entire campaign. And hey...as a SW fan I loved every bit of it.
I'm still wondering how the hell this is even a Call of Duty game. Just call it "weird ass futuristic FPS" and we're all happy.
*All wings, report in.*
That kind of space battle so close to Earth would be impossible due to orbital mechanics
Not really.
You would think that due to our current technology.
Tech on this game and other franchise that have space battle outside the planet's atmosphere is possible. Reliant that it made it tolerable and durable when it comes in the vacuum of space.
Look awesome, you may.
Look better than star wars, you shall not
This game would’ve gotten so much more praise had it not been named Call Of Duty.
Imagine an RPG game like this. Pick what factions or subfactions you wanna align with, do missions and quests for them.. unlock ships and upgrades for your stuff. Like fallout but in space
@@jacklennox2358 This didn't age well. Or at least... Bethesda tried and failed
@@potatoesblink3299 Yeah Starfield is pretty mid. At least Fallout 4 modding has never been stronger. Though honestly that's their fault for trying to make 1000 planets instead of a single solar system or maybe only a few that has actual detail
@@jacklennox2358 I think it's too early to judge Starfield's modding community.
It just came out, afterall.
I would still love to play Starfield tho when it gets more stable and had the mods to make my dreams come true
For now, I'll replay Infinite Warfare
Reason why i love iw
Man, the jet wash from those carriers must be terrible
this is red leader standing by
NOBODY liked this game... and I'm like WTH?! This game was INCREDIBLE, and these space battles were FIRE!!!
The thing is, it's a good game. But it is a bad Call of Duty game.
The ending was dreadful; all but FOUR of your crew dies, and even Reyes dies as well. Plus, that rubbish ambush scene
No one cared about the story, they only play CoD for the Multiplayer, which was broken upon release.
Man, I know. I ALWAYS want to play through the story! The story campaigns (and sometimes, the zombie mode) are the main reason I want to play Call Of Duty games! Some people think it's a waste of money because you only get a 5 or 6 hour campaign for your money, but I always feel like I'm getting my money's worth! Plus, I replay the stories and relive the awesome moments over and over, so it's definitely a return on investment, for me. I can see why a lot of people may not have agreed with the game, but I loved this one! I didn't know it was broken on release, though that doesn't surprise me. I bought it a while later after it's release.
The problem with COD is not that they're bad games necessarily. It's that they're COD. Despite how much they try to inovate and push the series into something new the developers are forced to cater to both the audience and publishers.
No matter how much they change the games setting the game needs to stay the same at it's core and can't alienate its' fanbase. We know what COD is and no one except execs can change that, and why would they, it's a risk.
For me COD is dead, at least artistically and there's no way to bring it back. The games lack any real feeling put into them, they are cold, dead and "manufactured".
So cool!
There is no sound in space, you can only hear inside your spacecraft.
Fantastic game. Only fault , not enough.
This and titanfall 2. Two of the best all time games. Can't understand why modern day gamers cried so much about this. Stick with fortshite
I was sad it didnt have space combat mode in multiplayer, also didnt understand why instead of the same zombies mode, they didnt keep the setting and have factory robot malfunction where you have to fight off hordes. This game was so underated
Vanguard should’ve been the sequel to this
damn the covies
I want a sequel to this it was so much fun. I HATED the lasers and space stuff at first then I loved it
Cool they rode on vtol sstos with guns
That thing maxed out in a climb at over 40000kph. That's Mach 32. I find this hard to believe.
It goes over 41,000 km/h. Well above escape velocity lol
Also at some point it says "0g" even though the display clearly indicates that it's still accelerating.
The jackal(that thing) can at maximum do 80,000km/h in escape and 5100km/h in normal
honestly this game was cool as fuck
Wish destiny had space battles
Sound in space, sure that’s fine....Jesus Christ
There were explosions everywhere dude, of course there would be particles just floating around to vintage and create sounds.
Mashed potatus oh my fucking god....I don’t think I’ve ever read a more fucking stupid comment
@@sbraypaynt If you look at the helmet boot log, you'll see, that sounds are created by the computer system.

but Battlefield (and no, 2142 does not count).
It's called Battlefront 2.
I'm joking.
But I'd really like a decent 2142 with great space battles
it looks like star wars battlefront
I'm on the same page as the peeps below. There will be people who buy this for space battles but I didn't follow COD for years because of space battles but because of the realism. Better to use this tech on a new game. One point. In space, no one can hear you scream, guns firing or bombs going off.
Totally agree. I would trade my soul for a stand-alone game with this kind of space combat

I always find it funny when games or movies show missiles firing in space lol....... there is no atmosphere in space.
Why can't missiles work in space?
A missle is a small rocket. We used those in space for decades.

Might have to buy this for campaign.

I think we fucked up making fun of this game
We were.
The MP was shit. But the campaign was unironically good
@@potatoesblink3299 I want more of this game than Halo nowadays honestly
Escape Velocity is extremely hard to achieve with basic thrust propulsion and these starships (quite primitive in longterm), achieve it in 1 minute and 30 seconds.
I get they are going extremely fast but the sheer amount of lift needed to be generated to break away from Earth is a feat all in it's own.
Coming in COD Mobile
It's unfortunate that the multiplayer got such a ridiculously bad wrap. It took the campaign down with it, and the campaign deserved better.
