Also interesting is the ability to "Suppress" the sound of a Laser Rifle. The true technological feat is how they were able to turn a single barrel, bolt action sniper rifle in a two round burst weapon without making ANY modifications to the actual gun. Space has amazing technology.
To be honest, SDF energy weapons are jury-rigged from whatever they've had at their disposal. Volk, for instance, is Kalashnikov's frame with "guts" modified to fire energy bursts. Even the magazine of this rifle is "skeleton" of classical "banana" filled with batteries.
The thing is that Widowmaker has a certain kind of chamber stack which allows it to fire two bullets with one pull of the trigger. No need to mofidy outer parts of the weapon when the action happens inside. And the Hailstorm uses similar technology. But it doesn't in fact eject anything. It's just an error from developers because without suppressor you don't see shells coming out and with suppressor you do. I'm not sure if this is fixed or not. Quite hard to notice.
The whole "caseless round" theory you came up with, kaptainkooleio, could explain the tech behind the Hailstorm's 3-shot burst as well as the Widowmaker's 2-shot burst, which means such weapons could be possible to manufacture. its amazing how every single gun looks like a reskin of an allready existing gun and im not even joking... they have a reskin of an ak, revolver, m4, glock, etc.
I love how the front half of the Type 2 fires while the ammo is in the rear half, and the real half is suppressed while the suppressor is on the front half.
They actually did a great job doing a variety of weapons that it design is pretty original and some of them even his trigger mode, obviously not all but looking at bo4 they did a great job here
I personally really liked the mix of firearms. Some were hyper-futuristic, some were mildly futuristic, some are modern with a coat of new paint, some were archaic, and some were archaic but with some futuristic additions.
I wouldnt say that now. But the more I look back on this cod, it was heavily underrated. It had an amazing campaign and multiplayer was quite good. It was just the future setting that made this game suffer big time and it saddens me.
I love this game, and I don't understand the hate for it. To me, the weapons feel nice and there's a nice mix to choose from. Yes I know things like the Kendall is literally just a Glock 17, and the NV4 is an M4A1 but it's still fun.
It's the lack of sense put into how they work. Even if you have a game that looks great, it has to make sense. Otherwise it just looks like they weren't trying and wanted attention. It's the same thing with he fact that they basically stole the Pelican from Halo.
this game had a pretty fun campaign and some great weapons. The volk in particular is my favorite version of the AK, and I've been an AK girl for the entire time I've been playing CoD. Its so cool.
The suppressed Type 2 when split in half, silences both guns despite only the front end having the suppressor? Not to mention when the energy weapons are suppressed, it gets rid of any sort of energy trail. With a bullet projectile I can understand but with an energy weapon? Sloppy work for a triple A title.
One, metal storm would require an electric trigger which the revolver doesn't have as it uses it's hammer to fire each shot separately (see slow motion if you didn't catch that) Two, the rifle ejects two cases when cycling the action. Also duplex ammo would have the two shots leaving the barrel almost simultaneously while this thing sounds like it has two rounds coming off. But what urks me the most about this one is that it's just an intervention that some how shoots two rounds while they do have an anwser in the game, they have a three round burst sniper that looks a lot more believable than using a "classic" gun from earlier games.

Just re-watching and find out a amazing detail after been 6 years, which no one notice that the S-Ravage, SPAS-12 shotgun had a right reload animation by pressing the mag-tube cut-off bottom.
I love the NV4 (just because it's familiar, being based on the M4 and all), but god damn watching the attention to detail on the FHR-40's magazine being transparent and each individual round being fed into the weapon is so satisfying

Honestly, this game was pretty enjoyable.
Campaign is awesome and MP is very flawed but still very enjoyable. People just hated it because of its futuristic setting. That's just sad.

From what I have noticed the cylinder is a helical magazine.
IW has one of my favorite futuristic weapons list.
Most of these guns are either just slightly futuristic versions of the same stuff we see every game and that ERAD gun is blatantly stolen from Deus Ex. Good showcase though and some weapons looked cool

Are you not able to reload the M1 unless it's empty? If so, then that's pretty weird considering how the DMR-1 can be reloaded without being empty.
Rose Supreme Its a little gimmick they probably did, considering the M1 is a classic, it might have different performances than the futuristic counterpart, like not being able to empty the clip without expending all rounds.

its amazing how every single gun looks like a reskin of an allready existing gun and im not even joking... they have a reskin of an ak, revolver, m4, glock, etc.

I love how the front half of the Type 2 fires while the ammo is in the rear half, and the real half is suppressed while the suppressor is on the front half.

Seems IW's method of making sci fi weapons involves taking old weapons and duct taping THE FUTURE to it.
They actually did a great job doing a variety of weapons that it design is pretty original and some of them even his trigger mode, obviously not all but looking at bo4 they did a great job here

I personally really liked the mix of firearms. Some were hyper-futuristic, some were mildly futuristic, some are modern with a coat of new paint, some were archaic, and some were archaic but with some futuristic additions.
Best CoD since BO2. Glad to see Infinity Ward comes back with MW 2019
I wouldnt say that now. But the more I look back on this cod, it was heavily underrated. It had an amazing campaign and multiplayer was quite good. It was just the future setting that made this game suffer big time and it saddens me.

I love this game, and I don't understand the hate for it. To me, the weapons feel nice and there's a nice mix to choose from. Yes I know things like the Kendall is literally just a Glock 17, and the NV4 is an M4A1 but it's still fun.
It's the lack of sense put into how they work. Even if you have a game that looks great, it has to make sense. Otherwise it just looks like they weren't trying and wanted attention. It's the same thing with he fact that they basically stole the Pelican from Halo.

this game had a pretty fun campaign and some great weapons. The volk in particular is my favorite version of the AK, and I've been an AK girl for the entire time I've been playing CoD. Its so cool.

The suppressed Type 2 when split in half, silences both guns despite only the front end having the suppressor?
Not to mention when the energy weapons are suppressed, it gets rid of any sort of energy trail. With a bullet projectile I can understand but with an energy weapon?

the same game also has a three round burst revolver and two round burst bolt-action sniper rifle. I think logic is out of the window.
The revolver could use quartz on the primer and have the metal storm system.
The 2 rnd burst sniper could be duplex rounds.
One, metal storm would require an electric trigger which the revolver doesn't have as it uses it's hammer to fire each shot separately (see slow motion if you didn't catch that)
Two, the rifle ejects two cases when cycling the action. Also duplex ammo would have the two shots leaving the barrel almost simultaneously while this thing sounds like it has two rounds coming off. But what urks me the most about this one is that it's just an intervention that some how shoots two rounds while they do have an anwser in the game, they have a three round burst sniper that looks a lot more believable than using a "classic" gun from earlier games.
Tip: the eraser can also be used in the campaign mode

Just re-watching and find out a amazing detail after been 6 years, which no one notice that the S-Ravage, SPAS-12 shotgun had a right reload animation by pressing the mag-tube cut-off bottom.

I love the NV4 (just because it's familiar, being based on the M4 and all), but god damn watching the attention to detail on the FHR-40's magazine being transparent and each individual round being fed into the weapon is so satisfying
That UMP with the reciprocating charging handle that locks back on final shot still gives me nightmares
The NV4's Suppressor sound is SO satisfying.

Ww2 did it right. The character didn’t want grand thumb and held back the bolt. When you put in the clip the character can just push the bolt to make it load a round
