From the perspective of an average CoD fan, it was probably easy to hate Infinite Warfare for again having a futuristic theme, but I suspect that the lessons from previous titles wasn't lost on Infinity Ward at that time, so IW went all the way into space and for a simple Good v.s. Evil storyline that, intentionally or not, ended up coming off as unpretentious compared to many others in the franchise.
@@dy031101 Infinite Warfare was the only CoD game to do a futuristic setting properly. Aesthetically it still felt like CoD, unlike AW and BO3. Heck even BO2 doesn’t really feel like call of duty in that way.
This was one of the most emotional endings in the call of duty series the modern warfare games always made you win and get injured until some solider’s come and save you. This felt like the end of everything and the final messages too emotional
Fuck, the campaign is so good but the ending hurts me. This just reminded me of the bitter end of war. Another perspective. Out of all COD Campaigns I’ve played, nothing could compare to this. A heartbreaking victory. Winning a war is one thing, but losing all of the great men and women on the frontline is another and that goes to all of the soldiers in real life that sacrificed their lives for the sake of the future. God bless for all who’ve done their services for the greater good.
Fact: All COD games are good in their own ways. No matter if they are ww2, modern, cold war, future, etc. They can be good for atleast one thing or two. Like Infinite warfare is pretty good at storytelling in the campaign along with Advanced warfare and a few others. Where as Black ops 3 and 4 is good in the multiplayer PVP aspect.
I never get it , why people dislike it so much . I only play the campaign but this moment in the game always cause me shaking when leaving those brave warriors behind
What makes interesting is that Brian Bloom who played Nick Reyes also voiced over William Joseph Blazkowicz in Wolfenstein: TNO, The Old Blood, The New Colossus and Youngblood.
Fatih Meriç Özarslan Yes I know he was involved. I'm not sure if he was lead writer on that game though. MW 2019 was pretty dissappointing story wise compared to Infinite Warfare although I did appreciate the inclusion of real world events such as The Raid on Osama Bin Laden in 2011 and Benghazi, Libya in 2014.
20:31 Todd Kashima: 😔🥺Hey Mom, Dad, When I joined the Marines, I told you that I’m ready to give my life for fighting for a good cause. If I don’t come home for any reason, then that’s what happened. I hope I died doing something heroic, and in the long run, I hope that I made you proud.
20:53 Kashima: I promised myself I wouldn’t get close to people here, but it’s kind of impossible not to. I wasn’t scared here, but I was home sick. Mom, I had a dream, last night, that you were making dinner. Yes, my favorite, porkchops, we were at the table together.
The fact that the game begins with the character you’re playing as dying and the game ends with the character you’re playing as dying is truly crazy and shocking.
This still one of the most saddest endings in call of duty " PEACE TO THE FALLEN AND TO THE ONES WHO DIE THIS YEAR 2020 BECAUSE OF THE COVID19 VIRUSE, PEACE TO THE FALLEN".
I feel like if this game had be released around the time The Expanse and For All Mankind tv series' became popular it would have been better received. I do like the theory though that this is a prequel game for the Halo franchise.
I gotta say I wasn't expecting all the main characters die at the ending cause most modern warfare games end with a good ending or some main characters dying.....
This game came in the ps4 bundle but I only played multiplayer. It wasn’t until later that I actually finished the campaign and realized what I was missing.
I was so sad when I realize we to selfdestruct Ethan to go thru the mission and I can't for get Gator, Griff, Omar, Macllum, Gibson, brooks and kashima
Ok to be honest the last scene was kind of realistic. Most people hate this game and I kind of agree the multilayer is terrible for me the zombies also terrible but the campaign was awesome. This campaign showed what you have to do in a war in order to win. Just like most characters said in this campaign " mission comes first" just like in world war 2 the Russians did so many sacrifices in order to save others from Germany and Hitler. So this campaign might have been very futuristic but the way they made death and sacrifice was awesome
SDF probably used a MAGLEV elevator which doesn't use wires to hold the elevator. Thus, they cannot exactly cut the elevator. That is why Marines stays at the bottom of the elevator to protect the power source.
She is Lebanese member of UNSA. So we expect other foreigners in there, besides Lebanese and Americans, there are British like Omar, Canadians like Kashima, Nigerians like Yetide, Aussies like MaCallum, Germans like Erwin Kloos, Italians like Diallo, and mostly of the Ret are Americans like Nick Reyes and most of the Marines and Ret crew.
Was it really necessary for Reyes to stay in that room, couldn't he just get out of there before ordering Salter to attack? No matter how I look at it, I think Reyes death was unnecessary.
Gotta say the credits with the messages of the fallen made me cry the first time
I thought I was the only one

Nick Reyes is the only playable protagonist in cod history to make me feel like a leader who’s sole intention is getting his soldiers back home.
"Better to burn out, than it is to rust."
Ethan was the reason for me to buy this game and he made it worth it.
This game didn't deserve the hate it got. It was a masterpiece.

Well it really was an ending to all cod games since it took place after all of them, way in the future
This Game was literally just a suicide sacrifice story. And I Teared up so damn much.

everybody in this game deserved to live. This game is a big NO MORE WAR message to me
One of the saddest damn endings to any game I’ve played 😭
True.
Ethan was my favorite character from the Campaign, hearing his voice message made me cry.
"I forgive you for leaving, I hope you're not mad at me for writing" - This one hits hard
“Highest Naval Honor” That’s from the navy and that’s higher then the goddamn Medal of Honor, Reyes was a good MC to play with.
Probably the most emotional Call Of Duty game I have ever seen in my entire life.
I agree.
I just wish for a sequel

That game's plot is just a replay of what Taylor had done.

Top 3 easily.
*Goodbye Ethan*
imo it was a good campaign until everyone with character development died in the last 10 minutes
That's how war is, not everyone makes it, another reason I like the story in this game
That's literally the whole point of going above and beyond the "Call of Duty".
Infinite warfare is the real feature cod. For me
The last real Call of Duty. It drives home an important message. War is about loss. Even when you win... you lose.
And this is why I hate stand-alone titles.
Too many potentially popular characters get killed off.
I gotta say I wasn't expecting all the main characters die at the ending cause most modern warfare games end with a good ending or some main characters dying.....
It was a sacrifice story. They didnt fight to destroy the SDF. But to protect their homes. I think thats why they were such relatable characters.
Reyes POSSIBLY could have survived if he hadn't decided to stay in the room before they fired on it.
Yeah, but - with no way home? Pretty sure he'd be tortured or executed.
Yeah but their was no time
Or tell Salter to fire on literally any other area of the shipyard
