Hey guys. Just think about the stress that those drivers are feeling. I can not find this funny because I was half a second to get a head on collision due to a black ice patch on the road. Just a very short time to react and everything went well, no ditch, no hitting anything. And that happened only at 60 or 70 km/h. This morning , the roads between London and St. Thomas, ON had not been plowed nor salted and a new brand Ford Truck over took me so fast, like if it was on dry surface. People do not learn from other's experience unfortunately.

@@agewilson Vancouver doesn't invest as much $$ on snow removal as Calgary simply because historically winter is just not that long. But when a big snow fall hits, the impact on Vancouver is gonna be far worse than it would do to Calgary. Same as driving, people in Vancouver simply aren't trained as much as Albertans. This is just common sense, and hard truth. On the other hand, Calgary would probably react more poorly on rainfalls than Vancouver. I don't know why people get so emotional. Use common sense and just admit it. lol

funny we in BC think very little of albertans ability to drive in snow, they are always the ones crashing when they come here, having never seen black ice (show tires do nothing to black ice), they think they know how to drive in snow until they meet a BC hill that is slicker than an ice rink.
we have cars, with road chains on, slide down some of our hills. heck we have 'parked' cars slide down hills sometimes!
fyi black ice is not dry ice, it's half melted surface but still solid enough to prevent tire to road contact, and its very common here. also none of our roads are level. so just think about that for a minute.

Many have never driven EVER in snow before and are pulling 80K lbs on highways they have NO business being on. Perhaps they should be required to have driven at least one winter in a car before they are permitted to run a semi in snow?

WHAT conditions? The rest of Canada deals with these messes from October to the spring. Every year. Driving to work is dangerous and getting stranded in minus forty are conditions that can kill. Leaving your car abandoned on the road because you can’t deal with a few inches of snow is a concept any decent Canadian isn’t familiar with. The problem is a population of certain individuals, with more money than brains, and no driving skills. Period. Every year this happens and it’s entertainment for the rest of Canada, because they still haven’t figured things out and never will.
