I was deeply attached to hindu pushups so I have made a pact that every day I will do 108 hindu pushups . In first 10 days I was able to do it in 10 sets in 30 minutes and then after a month I was able to do 250 hindupushups in a single set in 10 minutes then went to gym for lifting and was able to benc press 100 kg,deadlift 110 kg and squats 100 kg in the first week.
So hindu pushups does increase strength and flexibilty.

These ancient workouts changed my body into lean musclular and strong. I will do 20reps of 5 sets for 3 to 4 days along with some dumbbell workouts for 45min in a week. If we do throughout the week. There will no be no rest for muscles , leads no muscle growth and it may cause injuries. I shared as per my view.

I had a lower back pain for a very long period and now it's just 5-6 days of doing indian excercise like dand baithak, I'm feeling much better and I'm getting more flexible and stronger.
Since begining i can do 30x4sets of dand baithak, feeling much stronger than doing any gym workout.

I am a kalaripayattu practioner from 5 years. I never had fever in those years. Due to covid I had to stop but I will start again.
Traditional Indian workout will not build muscles for you. But it will increase mass, stamina, and build overall strength. Muscles are just icing on the cake. Using this strength gym workout will become easier. And you can easily build muscle to look aesthetic.
Before that Indian workouts will help build foundation. I am now able to do 100 pushups a day easily.

मुझे काम और पढाई दोनो भी करना पडती है। फिर भी मैं वक्त निकाल कर 300 बैठक और 150 दंड लगा लेता हूं। शुरुवात मैं मेरा वजन 48 Kgका था। पतला भी बहुत था। अब मुझे 6 साल हो गये है। मेरे डोले शोले भी बने है और मेरा वजन 72 Kg हो गया है। मैं कभी जिम नहीं जाता। और अच्छा खाना खाने के लिये ज्यादा पैसा भी नहीं खर्च कर सकता।
तात्पर्य : प्राचीन दंड बैठक मे बहुत ताकद है। जो युवा जिम जाकर महेंगे पावडर खा कर शरीर बनाना चाहते है तो उन्हे इन देसी तरिके आपणाना चाहीए।

I used to do super high repetition of pushup and crunches when i was 15, i gradually started including jump squat into my routine, and i don't know whether it is a coincidence or not but upon joining my gym i observed similar things like you did. I never injured my back and my presses, pulls and deadlifts were through the roof. Mind you i too started off extremely weak my bodyweight was around 45 kgs when i was 15 it went upto 48 and then 50 in the first two months of lifting

I can totally relate with you, I started doing pushups from class 7th Or 8th too, at that time i was doing pushups 8 sets of 50 reps each (normal pushups, inclined pushups and declined pushups), simultaneously I was doing pull ups too of 8-12 reps in each sets (I didn't had pull up bar so i used the gate of my house, chokhat in common language), I use to do biceps curls with bricks (multiple sets of 25-50 reps from each hand), I also did bodyweight squats..
After clearing 11th class i joined a gym and on the very first day i did 200 pushups and immediately after that Bench press of 50 or 60kgs and squats with approx 100kg Or slightly more than that.. I had a similar experience as off yours. And my body weight was 61 or 63kgs but my strength increased incredibly..

You have ignited all my memories of school punishments!!! I was subject to all varieties of punishments and canes there. All the teachers there used to carry one fat cane to the classroom. Ive got combo treatment. So the teacher used to make me do Uthak baithak (also called as baski or situps) for every situp i did i got one whack with the cane on my bum whenever my bum came down😓 Another package was getting imposition by one teacher and caned on my bum by another on the same day...so while i used to write impositions at home i had to stand up rubbing my bum with the left hand and writing the impositions with the right hand.

Follow a simple push pull leg split. You can easily install a pullup bar inside your house, eat a proper meal and get rest days in between. All the best.

The beauty of bodyweight training is that, it makes you stronger with respect to your bodyweight. It increases your relative strength. The more reps you can do with a certain exercise, the stronger you are because the lighter your own bodyweight is for you.
But at the same time it also increases your full body endurance, because it is your body you are moving. Not an external weight.
Relative strength is the key aspect to excel in any and every athletic and survival endeavours, absolutely all of them.
Now imagine having really high relative strength, and being a heavyweight guy, somewhere between 250lbs-300lbs, or heavier. Through proper bulking. While maintaining that had earned relative strength..
A man who only trains calisthenics can become the strongest and most muscular man on the planet. There are no limitations, none whatsoever, that a lack of external weights may provide.
Maybe for the lower body, maybe, but not for the upper body.

Well you don't get insane big with calisthenics if you are not genetically gifted or if you can't devote your maximum hours to that.

My point is that the training modality is largely irrelevant. As long as we are following the basics of sports science and biomechanics.
Do you know how many pull ups Brian Shaw can do? 10.
Would he be bigger if he could do 25+ reps? Absolutely. However at his bodyweight being able to do 10 pull ups is enough for him to beat one of the strongest pullers on the planet.
In general calisthenics people are always taught to eat in a certain way to not be too heavy, so they are basically using light weights for their workouts, their workouts being skill work mainly which doesn't tear down the muscles as much....
In US prison people are taught from day 1, eat to be 240lbs and workout to be able to do 100+ push ups and 30+ pull ups non stop before failure. They do these two things all day everyday. They rest when their max reps go down and come right back at it after recovery.
As a result, they get HUGE and strong, because they have to be big in order to just survive. They need to be big and strong just to be in a group where they are safe.

But technically you don't NEED 3-4 hours at all.
See, we still haven't seen anyone being able to do 200 non stop full rom push ups in 200 seconds. Yes there are videos where people are flyweights and do half reps and rest between reps aka intra set rest, but that's not 200 non stop push ups before failure.
200 seconds is not even 4 minutes.
So this is what you can do.
You set apart 20 minutes. You keep doing push up sets till failure, 10 seconds between each set, RIP AND TEAR, UNTIL IT IS DONE.
Before I started doing one arm push ups this is what I used to do. I benched 150kg the first day I benched. Max push ups I ever did was 84 before failure. I was 75kg back then.
Don't incorporate long rest periods if only 10 seconds of rest allows you to do more reps. If you see my point.
You aim to do as many reps as possible in 20 minutes. Then rest for 10 minutes. Because you will have a high heart rate and you wont be able to move properly.
Gama Pahelwan has record of 5000 baithaks ( squats ) and 3000 dands ( hindu pushps ) per day with avg speed of 50-100 pushups /min. At the age of 10 yrs he won appraisal from Maharaj of Jodhpur. Bruce lee was inspired by The Great Gama’s workout.

Depending on your profession, and requirement one must take a physical exercise. Unnecessary more physical exertions may affect mental work, one may get fatigue.
Important aspect is your age, body condition, any illness, profession etc must be taken in consideration
I am 69 yrs old, I take 60 jor and 50 utak baitak and some other exercises totally for 1/2 hrs
I am advocate so I have to worry about alertness at work before court
I think it is sufficient for me

Bodyweight training helps to clear your basics. Once you become proficient in bodyweight you will see great progress in lifting. Same with me but here to correct you a little, you can gain a limited strength by only bodyweight. And this i am telling because i can do 300-400 burpees at a time. For a proper lifting strength lifting wrights is essential. Or you will stick at a level
For example if you are able to do 1000 pushups with ease you can make your bench press strong to a level. But if you will compare it with a sincere lifter you will find it low.
And there is no harm in that. You will always be weaker than a powerlifter in strength and you will always be good in endurance if you practice bodyweight
In my opinion hybrid training is the best approach where you do a mix of weight lifting and calisthenics both

मेरा वजन 59 पर रूक गया है,क्या करूं। मेरी ऊंचाई 5 फिट 7ईंच है और इससे ज्यादा मेरा वजन कभी गया भी नहीं।
