Great video, makes me want one even more. I've driven loads of them and I'd choose an XE over all the others. The only thing you didn't mention is the poor reliability, something that would put me off if I was ever in a position to buy an XE

Cheers Matty! Yeah the reliability is an issue but Harry had a gun held to Jasper’s head so he couldn’t say anything bad about a Jag 😂

Diesel or petrol? What trim level did you go for?

XE and XF look very similar..a quick comparison and the one thing i notice is no matrix adaptive headlights on the XF

The key difference is the XF is half a meter longer

The back-end design of the Jag XE throws off what could have been better design, in relation to the rest of it. Which seems to be regular topic of some conversation. From the rear it does look quite Mondeo (ish). Also for a 'prestige' brand, the steering wheel button controls, look and feel very plastic and hollow...and lego (ish).
What is great about the XE, it looks very 'reserved' and understated but well bred. Opposed to the 'garish' (pimped-up/boy-racer) BMW & Mercedes brand which are too common on the roads!. (probably not a choice for those who need to be both seen and heard).

We're struggling to see what the issue is with the back end of the XE - we think it's pretty well designed. (Also not seeing any resemblance to the Mondeo!) Some of the interior plastics were below the quality expected of the brand, but not excessively. We do agree that the Jag XE is very well styled and we appreciate the subtelty it has over its German rivals.

Thinking of getting the diesel XE, for some reason it is vasty more cheaper than the petrol, is this because they are ending the series and stopping diesel engines i wonder?

There were some issues with the Diesel engines offered in this model. The best to go for is the 240PS twin-turbochared 2 litre, as it tended to have fewer problems than the 150 or 180PS versions. Excellent cars though and definitely worth buying!

@@BuckleUpShow The current 2023 diesel XE S uses a new upgraded 200hp engine so hopefully the timing chain issue is now sorted with better reliability. Looking forward to going back to diesel.

Good review. Shame the XE, XF and XJ are all doomed to the Jaguar bin.

These guys are paid to lie about the car. Yes it is beautiful car, but that's all it is. Reliability is not there. The owner is not concern about that, like the other owners, they will make soon money on it and than sale it. And the game go's on.

We're not actually paid by anyone to make this content. With Jaguar you may have slightly more issues than some other brands, though if the cars are looked after by their owners, driven carefully and serviced correctly, they are generally no more or less reliable than any other modern car.
