    Picked up a 2019 xe last week, one thing I have to say it feels real special once you get in! Putting that thing in sport mode turns the tachometer all red glowing and you can really feel the difference in the performance. Its a good option for people wanting something different than a german car, only 40k of these were sold in the last 5 years if I’m not mistaking.

      i also picked up a 2019 XE 2.5T a month ago. My ride is intoxicating, and actually is better than your test car. I raced sports cars in college years, and my machine corners at least at 1 G, no body lean in dynamic mode in sport transmission paddle shifter. Mine now has 7000 miles on it, smells new. The sound on the turbo 4 is fine, but I'm biased having also owned a 4 cylinder Porsche and a Honda CB 750 4 cylinder motorcycle, for 5 years each. I also currently own a SV 650 S Suzuki motorcycle, a Dodge Durango Hemi, and 1987 Mercedes Benx 300SDL. I LOVE MY 2019 JAG!

    My great-aunt has been a Ford-Lincoln-Mercury loyalists all her life. Mustang, LTD, Town car, Grand Marquis, she's owned them all. now that she's an senior citizen,she can't manage the growing line of SUV's and was priced out of the Lincoln Continental which would have been her first choice as a replacement sedan. She currently owns a Lincoln MKS, but if anything happens to that car, I'll be recommending the XES. Whether or not it's a great sports sedan, I think it's the perfect car for her.

    Nice balanced review. I believe the steering wheel paddles are optional on the P250 and standard on the P300 which is also standard AWD. I have a 2014 XJ and the reliability has been fine. I have driven the 17 and 18 XE's and they are just OK. They just don't feel like a Jaguar to me, but I guess I'm spolied. I sat in the refreshed 2020 XE P300 in the showroom and the interior improvements are substantial. The P300 has the contrast stitching you missed in the P250. I just don't like the 4 cylinder sound, rather gruff to me for the price point. NIce styling overall though.

    I really like the Jaguar XE. It looks better and more unique than the BMW 3-series, Audi A4, and Mercedes Benz C-class. However, when it comes to pure performance value for the money, the wallet leans towards an Infiniti Q50, Lexus IS350, Genesis G70, Acura TLX, and Subaru WRX. A badge means nothing if the behind it car is garbage.
    Merry Christmas Joe!

    I’m very happy to still have the Jaguar brand still in business and pumping out unique automobiles. With that said Joe, one of the 1st things to come to mind when speaking about Jaguar is reliability...or lack of it. How are the Jags these days as far as reliability is concerned? They have a long history of not being reliable. Ford many years ago did them no favors when they owned Jag. They screwed up Volvo and Aston Martin as well. But I digress. I like the looks of the new Jags, but again what is the reliability these days?

      10 foot pole? C'mon son. I own an XE, zero problems and the lengthiest available warranty in class. This ain't the '99 and the early 2000's. I hate seeing this type of perpetually propagated thinking. If you're doing review videos, you owe it to your viewership to be more responsible in your responses.
      Yes, my experience is unavoidably anecdotal, but you can research the "reliability" for yourself and the associated maintenance costs relative to the class competition.

    • @reryro1266

    • @zukoshonor2457
      @zukoshonor2457 3 роки тому

      We're talking about AVERAGE reliability , not one off stories from certain people who have had good jags. Even the dodge dart has had some satisfied drivers.....
      Of course there's going to be good cars in any functioning brand, or else they would be bankrupt and out of business right now if every car was bad..... but on AVERAGE , Jaguar is not up to par in reliability compared to most auto manufactures or else it wouldn't be near the bottom of most car brand reliability reviews, people wouldn't be protesting in front of their headquarters in China over poor build quality, and the resale value would be much better for a higher mileage one....
      Good on you guys for choosing and having jags with no reliability problems, i hope it stays that way, but a lot of other people have and Joe is just giving a funny reply on the overall reliability issues of owning one. Jaguar as a standalone company, was not finding any buyers due to historic losses it was making , so it was packaged with landrover and offered for sale to Tata motors so it would at least not go bankrupt...... Jaguars as a whole are great for a sporty experience and comfort , while Toyota as a whole is not.... every car company can't be good at everything and average reliability is where Jaguar lacks

    Lmao I have a 2018 Jaguar xe 35t awd. Whenever someone has to sit in the back I have to warn them lol. It’s not just the lack of room but it’s a little hard to get in because of the low profile. I’m 6’3 so even getting in the front, although not hard” you have to kind of adjust how you get in. Once you get in though it’s not bad. I don’t mind minimal interiors but there is a good amount of hard plastic. With all of that being said the V-6 supercharged engine is a fucking beast and everything about the mechanical and actual driving of the car is top tier. Also not many people have the 35t awd. This is very stylish redesign but I think it's max 296hp pales in comparison to a Mercedes C43 or C63, a BMW M340i or M3, an Audi S5 or RS5, or even an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. Jaguar should've had at least a 330-350hp output to really challenge the aforementioned European performance sport sedans.

      @@james2042 95,000 on the X Type in 11 years (owned, not leased), 37,000 on the XF (3 year lease), and 17,500 of the XE (year 2 of 3 year lease). The XF was my favorite - Supercharged 340hp and beatiful to look at and drive, with a great exhaust note. The XE is "only" 240hp, but weighs so much less than the XF, it handles even better, and my gas mileage is nearly double than I got in the XF. I usually drive in Eco mode, but I will occasionally go into Sport mode, where the acceleration is pretty fierce (I drive on roads with traffic, not race tracks). I do prefer the smaller car. I rarely have more than two people in the car, so the small back seat doesn't bother me (besides, I'm driving!). I pull my seat up a bit, and no one has said they felt too squished.
      The XE has been in the shop 3 times in 26 months: Twice for routine scheduled maintenance (free with lease), and once for a software update. My dealer gives me a loaner (usually a brand new XF).
      The XF was pretty much routine maintenance, as well, as was the X Type. Unfortunately, I had a coolant leak (loose hose) that I was unaware of, and the flywheel cracked from massive overheating. A shop I had brought it in for for new tires noticed the leak, but never told me, nor did they tighten the clamp, and I didn't pay attention.
      Jaguars of the 21st century are not like the Jags of old - and having been the owner of a 1967 Triumph, I certainly have experience with older British cars. Those I would not recommend, unless yo have a good mechanic.

  • @silentrefusal9911
    @silentrefusal9911 5 років тому

    With Jaguar's recent reliability reports, and the overall car that you get for your money here, this XE is a hard one to recommend. Especially looking at that price of 46k, you can get a naturally aspirated 3.8 L Genesis G80 with AWD, or if you are really into a small car, you can get a G70 for 46 with pretty much all the features added and a 3.3 L V6 Turbo engine. I don't know how can one go for an XE when those 2 options are available
    Edit: Or... How about a Lexus IS F Sport. Damn this XE is in a really bad company
