I'm a Motorcycle Instructor.... Carrie (sp?)... PLEASE don't put your foot down like that when taking a turn on pavement!! It's fine on dirt with proper motocross boots, but I've seen students do that and get a VERY nasty broken leg when their foot caught on the pavement!! Gene... that was a classic 'front brake grab'! Also, ALWAYS wear boots over your ankle (boots are a part of "ALL the gear, All the time") and you won't lose your shoe in a crash. The fact you've lost your shoe in BOTH accidents should be a good hint! LOVE the channel, guys!!
Peak design everyday backpack 30L It's one of the best camera bag I have used. Their clips and straps are great too. I pack the backpack with Mbp15, charger A7R2, 50 prime, 16-35, 70-200. 2 flash, all the chargers, and batteries and other accessories and have space to spare. It also has tripod straps and a drone strap if you carry a full-size phantom
I can't wait to see the Potato Jet camera bag! Green and red pouches for batteries is a great idea. My setup has grown to the size of a decent sized pelican so a larger backpack designed for today's run-and-gun lifestyle would be awesome. Put me down for 2 PJ bags.
Do you know what bro Iam from Uganda and Love your videos though I don't own a camera I know God will help me get the cheapest I want to be like You a professional video and film maker lots of love from Uganda
For the life of me, I can't stand seeing her that close to the edge! I've never been that nervous watching a UToob vid! Oh, and yeah, the drone makes me nervous too. Well done. I see the other girl wearing the helmet at the end. Wasn't sure why but then I saw your arms flying around while talking and thought she's very smart. Decaf dude. Decaf! :)
low pro makes an excellent selection of camera bags from day bags, back packs, huge camera bags and everything in between. I have 3 lowpro (all different) depending on my what I am going to do on the day. Excellent bags very tough and durable
Great video! Anything made by Thinktank. They have plenty of designs to fit whatever you need. I have had one of my Thinktank roller bags for 12 years. It's been all over the world with me and used on well over 250 weddings. I have backpacks that are almost 10 years. Tough as nails, yet comfortable to wear and very protective to your gear.
Bro you are really inspiration to me… i recently found your channel and watched a lot of your videos… i want to join the film industry and one of your videos really opened my eyes about this career… its scary but its life you know… you give really good advice and i hope you grow bigger on youtube
My favorite is my evecase hard shell backpack. For 60 bucks on amazon you can't beat that price. Super durable and that hard shell case gives you assurance that your gear is protected.
I use the lowpro bag from best buy. Not the most rugged but supper comfortable and has a side access for drone and remote access without taking the bag off...and it has nice waist straps; )
I would recommend MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack. It has very good protection and support, plus very convenient access to gear and place for a laptop (for flights). I used it full of gear for hiking on 4000m volcano.
I am looking to get a Mavic 2 Pro this week. Question for experienced drone owners: how common are accidents/crashes and do you purchase drone insurance?
Great video. Also, looking at DJI's website they state; "..Obstacle sensing is NOT available during high-speed tracking". Not sure I like the sound of that. They also state; "...DJI warranty does not cover any loss caused by crashing when flying left or right, even when ActiveTrack or Tripod mode is activated. Please be aware of your surroundings and App notifications when operating the Mavic 2 to ensure safety.". Hmmm...So, not sure what is covered. Leaves me wondering.....
Yes... in my opinion its a bulshit fake function. You cant count of this obstacles! Better not bying this expensive stuff what crashes easily! This DJI advertisment is not honestly!
Awesome video. Well done. Can I ask, what SD Card are you using? I have heard a few people commenting on the recommended card by DJI still being too slow in terms of writing speed.
I use the Manfrotto advanced travel backpack. I have traveled with it to a few different countries and it holds everything nicely. It also fits under the seat on a plane so you can still keep a carry on luggage with you. It’s definitely worth checking out.
You have to admit unintentionally active track gives it a great point of view & rules of third on those objects that it could have hit you get that ghost glide that you see in the film industry when they pan & track on the object while having keen details on espicific objects in order to make the viewer feel as if he himself is flying as a ghost getting all the angles
And she's not the only one that risked her life for this video, cuz the spider did too. It reminded me of Spider-Man Homecoming's climax... And the spider didn't fall off like you did the bike 😝
What do I use as a camera bag? A Pelican iM2600 with my own cut out foam. You want to take your camera and fit it all into the bag? Cut out the foam specifically for it...
Lowepro protactic 450aw is what I've got, fits exactly the same gear you showed there plus some. Has a great system for attaching gear to the exterior, I usually have my glidecam and a tripod with fluid head buckled in no problem, plus a water bottle on the side. But there is also a smaller version if that suits you more. Only minor downside is the price point
Potato, honestly I like the way you post this video in my opinion this video is edited awesome (professionally) but I have a question: which tool or application do you use to edit your videos? Thanks
To be honest I looked at a lot of bags, almost bought a Peak Design but passed due to the fact you can't lock it. I ended up getting a good deal on a $50 Case Logic DCB-309 camera backpack and honestly it's been great, taken it all over the country and overseas and still looks new and does everything I need. It's not waterproof but it has a built-in rain cover so that covers that. There's also an SLRC-206 one too that is probably a little better but I'm happy with mine.
I use active track while riding my Honda Crf250L dual sport motorcycle off-road. It’s a Forest area that is mostly open where I fly it with bushes and smaller trees. Nothing really fast or extreme but it works great. I Just set it up high enough to clear any bushes and close enough to me to get a good video. About 30 feet in altitude and about 20 feet behind me. Speed ranges from about 5 to 35 mph usually. Usually the Active track doesn’t lose me even when I speed up quick. It just picks up speed and catches up then slows down very smoothly. It is a Mavic Air 2. I like seeing other videos of Active Track working while following vehicles. It gives me ideas and helps with any concerns I may have for future flights. Enjoy.
With regard to the tripod mount, on the bag: Ya don't put the whole tripod down trough the strap and fit one leg in the bottom. You simply put the head up through the strap far enough to then pull it down so the one leg seats in the bottom pouch.
good to know....outside of North American these drones do not perform as well...they automatically kick down into a lower power mode and we run into tons of signal issues, lost signals, return to home...really disappointing and a waste of money if you want to do anything other than shots from just 30 meters away...
I use the Protactic 450 by Lowepro and I'm pretty damn happy with it. You must have checked it out already but if you haven't you definitely should. I'd been a Vanguard only guy till this one. The 350 is cool too, but a little smaller than what I needed. Looks very cool and subtle in a way, and also the straps all over make it very modular. Has all the buckles you'd want and I guess it fixes the little gripes you have with this one. Do check it out.
Great video!. I did not know you could stow the Mavic without removing the props!! Save some time. Also, you were worried about the auto detect - I have definitely crashed 2x when using auto modes - but I didn't see you using the propellor guard?
I'm a subscriber for the cinematographic content, but have to say Potato, you entertained me with your crash! Here's your lesson: on unstable surfaces (off-road & dirt) you need to be on the rear brakes. Your front lost traction under braking and folded. Potato back from whence he came, to the dirt! It's the cycle* of life! Now you know! (*see what I did there?)
& I'm using a Lowepro Mini Trekker AW Great bag, had it for over 10yrs. Can just fit enough to have lots of options. But when you need more, I have 3 extra lens bags on either side if I want all my options (but be mindful going through tight spaces with a wider backpack & precious lenses on the sides). Love how the tripod fits on the back (out of the way but easy to get to). Has the waist strap which makes for easy access when you spin the bag around on your waist. Topical extra: have even had a crash on my Duc on a tour through the Appalachians & camera gear & backpack survived though it didn't really touch down but for a little corner that got worn from the asphalt slide. I consciously rolled onto my butt to save my gear :) for the win! Bike gone - but camera gear all saved!
Great video as usual! Talking about backpacks, I use two: the Lowepro Protactic 350 which I use for work and is a great and solid bag for a lot of gear (you also have side accesses and few accessories to clip outside), then I also use a Tenba Solstice 20, in which you can have two separate spaces for both camera gear and daily stuff, but you can also easily use it completely for gear.
Buy a cheap 1" general purpose strap, with a buckle, from a 2$ shop. Slip it through the bottom of the shoulder straps at waist height and fasten at the front. When not using it to stabilise the bag, it's handy to grab and assist taking the bag off!
I've got the K&F backpack and just used it to holiday in Cyprus, great front pocket for passports etc, and great internal storage for a GoPro and its accessories, not received my M2P yet but will be using it for that for sure.
Excelent!!! I think you can film the Drone wile it is on Active Track to see How he avoid all the obstacles. It can be great to see if they are really close or not.
With content this original+nice guy, no surprise with the plaque. BUT I know the work behind this is insane. Hope its paying off and will continue to do so. Been following since 20 000...
Great content, saw your channel for the first time today while deciding on a gimbal to replace the glidecam HD4000 setup. Peak Design Everyday 30, is pretty good. I used to use thinktanks til I came across PD gear, now most of my gear uses PD gear for one seamless setup on the arca system.
Speak to lowepro - I would definitely buy the Potato jet bag. I have both the Lowepro Tahoe BP 150 for a small bag option and the Pro tactic 450 for bigger needs. The protactic series overall I think are the best if you want to take a laptop also. Love the vids and congrats on 100k!
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Is there a way to lock the controller out in active track or do you think this could be a feature in firmware? Most people that use active track I feel like are by themselves and need to put the controller in a backpack. It would be great if you could lock the controller out if you wanted in active track.
love it man, i just got myself my first ever Camera bag, im hoping it helps with all the filming im doing lately, Thanks for being a legend and sharing your knowledge
5:05 it didn't see it and you got lucky. That's a blind spot. Check the manual. I was wondering how often this could be a problem and you found its when orbiting and tailing a moving subject.
Just a suggestion on your new back pack instead of sliding your tripod all the way from the top til one of the legs hits the pocket just push the top of tripod up into strap like a couple of inches get leg in pocket it will be a whole lot easier do you get what I am saying you don't have to slide the whole tripod through the strap if you come from the bottom up you just need to slide it a couple inches and thanks for your videos I really enjoy watching you I like watching you as much as Peter M. I just say that because he's been my favorite for a while
I love the part about your bags dude ! You should definitely participate to the design of a bags for drone racer and vloger ! I put red and green sticker on plastic bag for my lipo so i dig you idea of color pocket
I'm a Motorcycle Instructor.... Carrie (sp?)... PLEASE don't put your foot down like that when taking a turn on pavement!! That´s one excellent piece of equipment... I´m talking about the Suzuki DR 650. What a beast....yeah, drone is fine too
You had the opportunity to click bait this " I crashed while in active track mode - mavic 2 pro"
Hi Potato Jet, can you do some low light filming and maybe a low light hyperlapse. Would love to you what you get out of this camera. Thank you.
Do you know what bro Iam from Uganda and Love your videos though I don't own a camera I know God will help me get the cheapest I want to be like You a professional video and film maker lots of love from Uganda
Urak ho I haven't understood it properly.
Lowe Pro Whistler Bags are the best I've found for transporting camera gear + other gear in a separate sealed compartment.
Decaf dude. Decaf! :)
To all youtuber, this channel is highly recommended when it comes to Gadget... all the information is here... indeed...
low pro makes an excellent selection of camera bags from day bags, back packs, huge camera bags and everything in between. I have 3 lowpro (all different) depending on my what I am going to do on the day. Excellent bags very tough and durable

way cooler than the old plaques!

First video I see, I have subscribed immediately. Thanks for this content 😌
That girl is so brave, its scary.
Good morning from Tabasco Mexico! I’m your fan! I’m a mechatronics engineer and love photography. You are like a teacher!
I use the lowpro bag from best buy. Not the most rugged but supper comfortable and has a side access for drone and remote access without taking the bag off...and it has nice waist straps; )

anybody know how he did that movie trailer type editing at 2:51??
Yes... in my opinion its a bulshit fake function. You cant count of this obstacles! Better not bying this expensive stuff what crashes easily! This DJI advertisment is not honestly!
Yeah the tech is getting better, but advertising it in a way that makes people think they can just not think about it.... dumb. Very dumb.
I like the 'Cool-Box Bag' a backpack designed to keep the contents cool and converted to take camera plus accessories.
You're a legend Potato Man ! Seriously, love your videos !! Keep it going man !
in active track mode can you define more elevation and zoom to tracked object? in this way drone will not hit anything
dude i came to your page for info. you got a sub withinthe first minute. happy late happy birthday lol your vibes are perfect
So essentially, the drone flies safer than you ride :)
Wow your shoe is a professional gymnast! I give that shoe flip performance a 10!
Dude, you ride like a pro, bravo.
Very nicely done video.... When in active track, can you control the height of the drone?
Yes.
Awesome video. You crack me up and still keep me interested in watching for the content.
I use the Manfrotto Aviator bag for my P4A. There's tons of room and I can get my dslr in the top easy. Happy birthday Mika. Cheers
clickbait Title: "I crash in my motorcycle. Filmed with Dji Mavic 2"
Congrats on the 100K + 22K Jet!
I like how you freaked out when your drone almost crashed but not when Mika was on the edge off a cliff
And she's not the only one that risked her life for this video, cuz the spider did too. It reminded me of Spider-Man Homecoming's climax... And the spider didn't fall off like you did the bike 😝
You talk a lot with your hands... Maybe don't say anything when your riding a bike and you won't crash next time 🤔
The drone will be around as long as he wants it to be.
What do I use as a camera bag?
A Pelican iM2600 with my own cut out foam.
You want to take your camera and fit it all into the bag? Cut out the foam specifically for it...
This is best drone test vedio i ever see good job.

Best backpack for me is the Cinebags CB25B. Bulky, but you would definitely not need more than one bag with it, and everything is super safe.
DJI is just killing it with all their drone series. Yea....
You guys are awesome! Very entertaining and great to watch.....keep up the great work man!! 👊
Did you try the Skydio drone? It also has a sort of more advanced active track.
F-stop bags for the win!
I got a lowepro protactic 450aw. It is super rugged, has a lot of space. The only contra is that it is quite heavy compared to other ones.

I thought it looked like the Big Sky development in Simi.
i'm a first timer on your channel - I enjoyed your video. Loved your personality! keep it up man!

Definitely the lowepro 450aw. Gonna do a video on it soon. best bag hands down
All in favor of a Potato Jet backpack say YA!
I'm a subscriber for the cinematographic content, but have to say Potato, you entertained me with your crash!

Excelent!!! I think you can film the Drone wile it is on Active Track to see How he avoid all the obstacles. It can be great to see if they are really close or not.
Great video.
Hmm quick question. You were using the m50 to shoot the whole thing, right? Did it ever overheat when you were shooting out under the sun?
excited to see you grow!!!
Potato Jet bag! Yes!
Where is the first location? Looks amazing!
Have a look at the Hazard 4 army camera bag its what i used and has molly on the sides to add what ever you like thing you will love it
I had that K&F backpack and moved on to the lowepro protactic 350aw as my daily bag!
Don’t be scared Bro! Let go of the sticks! 😂 Good video man!
I was scared to try mine, thank you for this video! Commenting to help algorithm
Peak Design Everyday Backpack!
Good video continue your amazing
Happy late happy bday!!!
Also tell her not to jump! Especially on her bday
Yep he's amazing at failing on riding the motorcycle
anybody know how he did that movie trailer type editing at 2:51??
Amazing video mate, can’t wait to see the next one. Thank you.
Cool vid bro. Just subscribed. Keep up the good work.
Congrats with the 100K!!
Congrats on the silver play button bro
How long form 100K till the plaque showed up? Im creepin up on 20k, so asking for a friend.
Speak to lowepro - I would definitely buy the Potato jet bag. I have both the Lowepro Tahoe BP 150 for a small bag option and the Pro tactic 450 for bigger needs. The protactic series overall I think are the best if you want to take a laptop also. Love the vids and congrats on 100k!
this would be perfect for people who like to hit jumps on a dirtbike, could just follow them in a small area, rather than just riding in general.
Happy late birthday 🎂 🥳 😄 🤣 😂
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Is there a way to lock the controller out in active track or do you think this could be a feature in firmware? Most people that use active track I feel like are by themselves and need to put the controller in a backpack. It would be great if you could lock the controller out if you wanted in active track.
love it man, i just got myself my first ever Camera bag, im hoping it helps with all the filming im doing lately, Thanks for being a legend and sharing your knowledge
Congrats on 100k
I'm waiting for the backpack to end all backpacks! Totally would buy one. :)
That crash, did you hit the front brake? I did not see the 4k option, just 1080p.
5:05 it didn't see it and you got lucky. That's a blind spot. Check the manual. I was wondering how often this could be a problem and you found its when orbiting and tailing a moving subject.
4:38 that was way too close. had a heart attack. give me your drone.
from start to end your audio is so clean indoor and outdoor ... what's your recipe .. it's like a podcast in a video ..
Miss that motorcycle! I rode my DR650 all over Arizona!
Nice video ! Nice flow ! Nice images ! And nice bike ! ----> what is it ? :) thx for the answer ! Peace
i have that bike too (DRZ 400s by Suzuki) that's why i watched this stupid video
it's a 2017
^^
You are awesome. So amusing and informative.
Happy Belated Birthday Mika !!
Good video, thanks. I'm looking to buy me a drone, not sure which though. Mavic Air 2 seems good.
