This is so far the best channel to learn about drones, Ive just finished the mavic mini playlist. This vid is 2 years ago but i wont care since im enjoying this much. Just wanna say thank you Dustin - your new fan from Philippines!
4:42 I see you are shooting in an f/2.8 aperture, so when you autofocus towards the center the edges tend to be blurred because your aperture is so high. It is normally a good idea to have a higher f stop for landscape such as f/11 or f/8 aperture, you will see that the blurriness will disappear :)
@@DustinDunnill leave it to us photographers. lower number apeture open more allowing more light in thus creating blurry effects like bokeh. high number apeture closed letting in less light further field of depth clear better color
When clicking the trigger to turn the lights on and off there are 3 settings it toggles between. On, off, and auto. This is why it takes and extra press to get it on since it is going into auto before going to on.
He really does. I dont watch anybody else on the range test. I did however watch someone do 20,000 feet on this with no problems. Cant remember the video, but he was shaking and forgot to hit the record button . Dustin is just a professional and does a great job. Plus who doesn't love looking at beautiful hawaii
I agree. Dustin's range tests are realistically executed with real life situations (wind, battery, interference affect) and not lab-tests. I personally feel that this channel deserves more recognitions and I'm really surprised that it has not reached 100K subscriber mark by now. Keep up the great work, Dustin.
Make sure you calibrate your compass and imu before each flight for more accurate rth landing. I do this with all my dji drones and it helps tremendously. Thanks for the video. Love the range test.
Not sure you want to calibrate the imu out in the field. I always do that on a perfectly level floor at home. Compass at flight location is good practice though 👍

Lovely time lapse of Haleakala behind the clouds. Great review on the distance test. Just picked up a DJI pro 2, and have only flown line of site, this vid you shared was impressive with how far you actually could go and not loose a signal, thanks for the share....
I agree with the sensor. Underwhelmed. I think most people are still in the honeymoon stage with this drone and they think everything is perfect with it. P4P camera is better. This is still a great drone and arguably the best on the market right now. Great work as usual Dustin!
I would say you are close to optimal positioned for a range test. Definitely very good. I got an Mavic air last year, and I am definitely satisfied with the 4k footage. But it's suseptable to radio interference in the wifi band witch makes range very hard to predict depending on city or country flight. But RTH always works excellent so you get signal back in seconds. When the weather is better here I might buy a Mavic pro2. Thanx for the review. From what I can see the video colors lacks a bit of saturation and crispness.
Great presentation. I've been holding out for a while looking at the various companies making drones for recreational and commercial use. The quality of the "recreational drones" are catching up with the commercial use/Gvnt. ones quite rapidly. 4K HD is great but add thermal NV to it and now you're in a whole other realm. I really miss living in Maui, and when I lived up country where you are, I was on five acres with 15 banana palms and five varieties. There were guavas, papayas, mangos and avo's. I was so healthy there. Paradise.
Hi. After a lot of consideration and viewing various reviews and test flights including yours. I’m pleased to announce the birth of a new Drone to my family....yes, I’ve made the step up to Mavic pro 2😁. Only thing is, Jessops have not dispatched yet for obvious reasons out of their control COVID 19. A really big thank you to you and all other you tubers for great reviews. I can’t wait to start using it and learning new photography tricks. My son’s are going to inherit my two Beebop 2’s now😊
Makes me wonder why 101 people decided to give this review a thumbs down... I mean really, trolls everywhere. Seriously, trolls everywhere? Act like a decent human being. Great video. Well done.
The 1 inch sensor has a shallower depth of field than the 2/3 sensor. Which definitely can make for a less’ ‘sharp’ image out from the focus plain. Probably just a matter of changing the f stop. Keep up the great vids!
Yea what I noticed is that the m2p has a very vanilla auto camera setting. When you really tune up the settings, the images and video look amazing. It is a pro after all, not a mavic 2 amateur
This is the video I've been waiting for. Now I don't have to do a range test :D. The 1" sensor is really going to show it's self better when you're in lower light settings or when you compare the color depth between the two. In bright light I didn't think the difference was that great. Another tester (Captain Drone) compared the camera to the Evo -- the evo actually looked more natural in every shot except the ones at sunset.
I know you review lots of RC's from land, sea, and air, but a lot of the issues you have can be fixed by reading the manual. The LED lights have 3 settings, off-on-auto, with onscreen notifications. Of course as I did initially you were looking up and could not see the OSD. The fast RTH landing was probably because when you turned off OA the landing protection was also off. Also when you raised the shutter speed you neglected to try to reduce the aperture size which is probably one of the best selling points for the Pro over zoom. I love your videos and have watched most of them without even the desire to purchase the reviewed tech. Keep up the good work.
Yes, there are so many new and changing functions on these I do miss some on occasion. This cam in auto is not amazing and I hope it can be updated to be. I'd guess 90% of people don't know how to or are intimidated by manually adjusting camera settings including me. The Mavic 2 Pro may force me to learn 👍
Here is something to add about the mavic 2..Ive also been hearing about battery issues and today it was confirmed by a friend it happened to.A pro photographer who has been flying drones for a few years, just took his mavic 2 fully charged battery and decided to fly over the lake where he lives, watched the battery pop off his drone(said it over heated just after take off a few min) and sink to the bottom of the lake
Taking into account the Evo does work with Android, the ability to fly anywhere because their is no NFZ, a flight screen on the controller, 60FPS, $450 less and you don't have to deal with DJIs notorious poor customer service, I think I'm sold on the Evo. I wish Autel would put out their 1" sensor so we could compare apples to apples. As always fantastic range test review. No one does a better job than you Dustin. Good job rembering to bring the landing pad :)
The zoom version has only the zoom feature to show, in everything else regarding the camera is inferior to the EVO as it cannot do 4K@60fps. We are living in 2018, 4K@60fps is ESSENTIAL in video production (4K monitors and displays are everywhere and are pretty cheap).
@@muzikmon2267 I had an IOS phone but ditched it. I love Apple computers but prefer Android for my phone. The props in the shot is very annoying but a slight down tilt apparently fixes the issue. Still though...come on Autel, how did that slip by R&D?. The NFZ is a big one for me.
@@muzikmon2267 What's really confusing is the Evo tends to show props on the top left and rarely on the top right. Logic says that the position of the Evo camera must not be dead centered under the body. Whether it was a patent issue or not, there is no reason to have any props in the shot. It's 2018. Seems that the Autel was rushed to market. I might pick one up but only after they fix their horizon tilt and the jerky video when using Orbit mode. It's all about money isn't it.
Nice flight time test. Brings back memories of when I worked a special assignment on Kauai 38 years ago and stopped in Maui on my way back home to say hello to my brother in law. Back then I was into golf and did 54 holes in one day. If the sun didn't go down I would have been out there longer. I think with a few more tests you might discover a way to overcome the optical and other questions. Thanks Dustin.
About the underwhelming greens - it's the automatic color balance. What is happening is, since the green is the predominant color in the frame, the auto white is trying to neutralize the green by adding purple. The workaround? Use the manual white balance and set it for sunny day if it's sunny out, and cloudy day setting for a cloudy day or heavy shade. The greens will no longer be neutralized and will look vibrant.
I have DJI Mini 2 and definitely, the * DJI Mavic 2* Pro is the next drone I will buy. Amazing video quality and also the drone design, amazing control screen flight design, numbers, and letters font are awesome.
It looks like your flying over a model of Hawaii in somebody's basement. It's just absolutely beautiful ! I really wanted to get the autel but couldn't pull the trigger on it. Just a weird feeling In the gut. I went with the zoom and I love it. I would have been happy with the autel too but i just know what to expect with dji, i was literally scraping pennies to get it. I just wanted everything to work good.
If you activate Return to Home on your Mavic 2, you can now turn off the beeping by pressing the power button on the remote once. It will stop the beeping, however you can't turn off the beeping once you hit 20% Battery. Love this feature with my Mavic 2 Pro.
Lol that's funny dude. Its the DJI Corona Pro 2 haha I'm sorry dude but dang that's got me thinking about my next drone too. Be careful brother and wear gloves and a mask or stay 6 feet away from it till figure out how to decontaminate it before you fly. Lol
Hawaii offers some of the best pics if one seeks to capture for Post Card Pictures. I was there in Honolulu in April visiting my son. Great drone too bro, the parameters on it tops.
Hi Dustin! I experienced the same thing on my Mavic 2 Pro when engaging the bottom landing lights. I read the manual, and there are 3 positions: ON, OFF, and AUTO. So when you click, they come ON, next click they go OFF, next click places it in AUTO, then the subsequent click turns them on again. That is why there seems to be a “dead” spot. Love your range tests in Hawaii! The videos are beautiful, and I really like how you push the drones! Hitting the Subscribe button now. Looking forward to more range tests!😃🛩
The range and feature set is perfect. I do not mind the price. Only one thing keeps me from buying it. The no folding wings. I definitely need a drone with the same feature set. #1 Range, #2 Battery life #3 GPS #4 remotely controllable camera BUT above all it has to be able to fold up into a compact package when not being used. Any recommendations?
Dustin your videos are awesome, i have been a fan for the past year keep it up brotha!! I am a proud owner of the Mavic 2 Pro also. The reason your footage wasn't as good as you were expecting is because most of your camera settings were in AUTO ISO/White Balance and Aperture. The M2P camera settings must be set in Manuel to get the awesome clips others are getting on UA-cam. You will see a huge difference setting it up correct in Manuel.
It went up first when you hit return to home button because you had RTH altitude set at 160 ft, which is a great feature as it allows you to avoid obstacles on your way back such as trees and buildings
Watched a few of your videos on the Mavic 2 Pro and decided to buy one yesterday. Have yet to fly it due to rain so I charged the controller and all batteries I got with the fly more pack. I had the Mavic Pro original and hoping this one is the much more improved. Keep up with the amazing videos. DJI needs to cut you checks.
Johnson Johnson I am really enjoying it. The quality of the drone is great and the photos and video it takes is impressive. Of course I got the fly more package because I have to fly longer that one battery gives me. Ha
I have been comparing with autel evo range test, and the FHD fpv that ocusync provides is way better. Not so easy to appreciate it in the smartphone, but in the TV the difference is evident. The 4k video looks gorgeous to my eyes. It has less digital sharpening by default compared to many other drones, but it still looks great. However to extract the best from this camera dlog color profile is probably the best option.
Great video bro. I just don’t know if I’d take over $2,000 worth of drone out that far with all of DJI’s poor/negative history for flyaways. Have they worked out all the bugs with the flyaways ?
Great informative demo!, The issues you mentioned regarding the picture quality could be down to shooting F2.8 meaning wide open. With any lens you will see softening on the outer edges at this widest Fstop, when there is good light its best to avoid this when you have time try some tests at F4 / F5.6 and the image should be better at this 'sweet spot' and absent from edge blur. Try one at F16 and it will look awful lacking contrast and sharpness making it look like SD!
Exactly! If He had that aperture set higher to maybe f-8 or f-11 he would have seen a magnificent difference! At that distance f-2.8 is shit! That Hasselblad is one of the best camera manufactures in the world and I doubt that lens has a fault! Besides this review every other review I have seen says this lens is far better than any of the others! My money is on the Mavic 2 Pro and Hasselblad lens! If you don't understand lens and their features of aperture and shutter speed you are lost on any lens!
I didn't realize he was shooting at f/2.8, that is an f stop for very low light conditions, not flying into the sun. For example, taking photos of the Milky Way at f/2.8 is appropriate.
That, and it looks like he was shooting in standard h.264. You can’t access the 10-bit color and better compression without shooting in h.265. This also allows you to shoot in the log profile which has much better dynamic range. I think shooting auto-settings on any camera will produce disappointing footage
Good movie thanks for the time and effort, ive owned the dji mini for amonth now and love it but will be buying one of these in the next 8 months. keep the vids coming
Bro, been watching your videos and I want one so bad. Live in the UK and there so many gorgeous places I could fly it. Tha is for all these videos I shall keep on watching until I have enough money saved to get one:-) Top job and happy droning 🤣👍
awesome video bro! After completing the 10 battery charge cycles, take it to go investigate that little body of water at 8:19. It will be epic to see you go close to it all the way from your house. Again, great video
im watching this now and wooooow what that drone can do..... i was scared in your place. its very nice that you make this video. here in europe its forbidden to fly that high and that far.
I've just seen another distance test of this drone, a Hungarian guy flew 27000 ft away with that thing and brought it back in one piece, landed at "home" safely at 5% battery status. 🙂😉
As a neophyte ('noob'), the video looked superb to me. I think you might have a point in that against a basically green background, the camera's capabilities are less easily demonstrated. I'd like to see some footage in another setting (like Utah or CO), with more variety of colors and shades to highlight that camera's performance.
The wind can change directions and speed at any time It has to make sure it is able to make it back to home and not die in the field That's why it turns around quicker
Working in the film industry as a 1st AC I was bummed when we shot raw without luts. The image was washed out looking and more difficult to check focus. I always found it frustrating that the technology pushed image sharpness to to new levels and the first thing we did was add diffusion and settings to make the image look more like film. Later during a test we shot without any diffusion at full resolution and sharp settings. It was jarring to see the results. You could literally count the pores on the actors face. The real benifit of shooting raw comes in post production. The increase in dynamic range alone makes it worthwhile to suffer through what appears flat uncorrected footage. Having grown up in Hawaii I enjoy your videos. The Lahaina I first knew had one traffic light. My high school band played at the opening of the first Maui Pizza Hut. There wasn't much fast food on the island back then. I enjoy your videos. I'm curious about you as much as the products you demonstrate. I'm guessing that you went to catholic school. You sure don't sound like the typical Hawaii public school kid. Aloha
Hey how come you never do range tests over the ocean? If there are no reasons why not could you do one with the Mavic 2 over the ocean? Love the videos!
We did a test yesterday with a MP2 and got 7km ( 22,900 ft). It was still working well. The limiting factor was the battery. We made it back with 1 minute flight time left. No wind during flight.
Just a few things to note it looks like your shutter speed is way over for shooting at 4k 30fps your shutter speed should be double your frame rate so it should be 1/60th and the Mavic 2 Pro tends to shoot 4k video the clearest at between f4.0 to f5.0. Not sure if you use ND filters but I would suggest if you live in Hawaii you might want to check out Polar Pro filters. In my opinion they make some of the best in the market. But great video never the less.
19k with 35% left is pretty damn good! I've been over 22k with my MP, but there was no wind and I flew at 10' above the ground the whole way. I need to convince the wife to let me upgrade mine.
I bought my mavic Pro 1 for $814 back in may and it’s awesome probably a better value than the mavic 2 at $1500 because the original mavic can do basically 99% of what the new one can
I just had an idea! Silly maybe but I will try it. I live in New Mexico and we have state roads in the desert with hardly any traffic. I will have my lady friend and her cousin following the drone over the highway with their Jeep like hot air balloon chasers. It isn't an expensive drone so I will fly it until the batteries die! They will see where it will end up and they will pick it up. Then I will go meet them. I hope I can convince these two old gals to do it. They aren't into drones and stuff. Then I will buy a good one like yours. Thank you for the nice video!
Amazing video and narration, thank you! It is great to see the more strenuous testing of the mavic 2 pro. I am new to all things drone, only been at it for maybe 3 weeks and DJI spark is my current trainingwheels but once I’m comfortable enough want to get a top of the line drone. Kind of a silly musing but I’m super curious how far it could do if battery life were not a concern. Not sure if anyone has yet but it would be pretty cool to see it’s absolute maximum flight distance before experiencing screen glitching. Need to set up a battery relay lol Just have someone waiting 2 miles out or so with a fresh battery. Land at them, pop in new battery, and keep going. No real reason or motive, just my curiosity :p
It will go past 4 miles and keep signal good in areas that don't have powerlines and factorys and electric lines or towns. Out of town on a hill or high place without obstructions in an open area will give the best signal strength. I live in town so I can't fly far without losing signal to video but the drone doesn't loose signal just the camera does.
I was going to get the pro 2 zoom but it has 1/2 in screen where the pro 2 has a 1" screen makes a better video I think. Both 4k and nice but pro 2 has better video. You know why it has zoom ? Cause the pro 2 has better video cause of the 1" screen. The pro zoom has to zoom in to see as well as the pro 2 I just get a little closer with the pro 2 to great video. I think the zoom working will shorten your battery life faster also. Just my thought about it but investigate videos on both and you'll know yourself.
I don't own this _beauty_ but I learned a lot from this video! Thanks! I think that this test should be Voided due to the strong headwind on the way out, which limited the distance because those props would have been fighting it! You could see on the way back with the wind behind you now, that the flight was smoother and seemed quicker(?). Impressive craft! Dear Santa!
i bought a refurb dji goggles... no way i can go back to phone or tablet for viewing.. 2 5 inch screens one for each eye... where you look the camera looks.. perfect VR .. easiest way to control the camera for mavic pro
Great job. I added the new gold tip blades. Got about 4 more min flight time and much quieter. Total time on my drone on good battery is 35 min in calm winds. Carry 4 batteries and never used all 4 in one sitting. 2 batteries and I usually like to go DL vid and edit. Again 👍🏻
Perhaps things look better with different video codecs and settings. Looks plenty good, just gotta tweak shadows and colors in post processing perhaps. Try out a few more video color modes.
Just an FYI - pointing the antennae at the drone is incorrect. They should be pointed orthogonally to the drone. So, if the drone is far away as in this range test, the antennae should be pointed straight up. If the drone is directly overhead, you should point them straight out toward the horizon.
Yes I know and those who follow my reviews know. I meant I was pointing sides of antennas directly at drone. I didn't show what I was pointing at from my hat cam video when I said it.
Another GREAT video to watch. A quick question about sending your videos. Dustin..How do you send 4K videos over the internet? What program do you use and do you send a link for others people to see? Thanks .. Mark
Great video Dustin. Pretty surprised that the MP2 does not have precision landing. I use it all the time with my Mavic [though I don’t need to] coming in handy in a lot of scenarios [at the beach with my landing pad for instance.] Not being into professional photography I think my Mavic Pro more than meets my needs. I won’t be “trading up” any time soon. Some breathe taking shots of Hawaii. Brings back my 80’s military [Navy] time.
It is best to look at the fuel (battery) left and the wind speed/direction when deciding when to turn back, I never look at time left. As I was saying to myself that I would have flown to 50-55% fuel left as you were turning back, all based on what you told us about flying against the wind. That would have left 20-25% fuel upon return.
Okay! I have a really newbie/stupid question! I am what we call an interstate (you call it Over The Road) truck driver in Outback Australia! I see just such spectacular (and what to others is rarely seen) scenery each and every day, so I am thinking of getting something like a Mavic Pro thingamagig......... BUT ...... I am time poor and not altogether interested and spending a lot of time becoming some top gun drone pilot, nor some cinematographic guru ..... I just wanna take happy snaps and short video clips to share the beauty I am presented each and every day - when time permits! :) Here's the dumb question. I'm bloody hopeless at video games and all that crap. I just wanna get something that will (mostly) take off and land (mostly) by itself, do a few orbits, or just elevate to capture something that I see, or that my mind's eye knows will be there at elevation, and that's NOT gonna take me a helluver long time to build up basic proficiency in order to just that! The cost isn't such a concern as the TIME cost....... so ...... is a drongo like me gonna be able to do what I wanna ..... on balance of probability?
I'd go for a Mavic 2 zoom. Switch into "sport" mode after takeoff. Push up to get to designated hight quickly. Take your pics / videos and just press return to home to get it back down. 👍
I just bought the Mavic 2 Zoom and I'm a newbie at drone control and all. Built a drone from scratch for a Software Engineering Project but still a novice. Did you get the distance from your drone because of the lack of electromagnetic interference? Or am I missing a setting in the controller? I have made it ~1700 ft distance at most before camera glitch and weak signal indicator. Thanks for the vid; good job!

My son’s are going to inherit my two Beebop 2’s now😊
I watched it on 65" 4K. and I think the camerea is very sharp, and smooth in the light. Its an awesome cam brow
Makes me wonder why 101 people decided to give this review a thumbs down... I mean really, trolls everywhere. Seriously, trolls everywhere? Act like a decent human being. Great video. Well done.
Setting distance records is great for drone manufacturers. They get to sell you two drones...
not for dustin
The 1 inch sensor has a shallower depth of field than the 2/3 sensor. Which definitely can make for a less’ ‘sharp’ image out from the focus plain. Probably just a matter of changing the f stop. Keep up the great vids!
Yea what I noticed is that the m2p has a very vanilla auto camera setting. When you really tune up the settings, the images and video look amazing. It is a pro after all, not a mavic 2 amateur
@Al Castillnah. 5-6 is the sweet spot.
Mick Harrison for landscape f/11 is where it’s at
This is the video I've been waiting for.
You’re a brave man I wouldn’t try that with my first gen mavic
DJI has great customer service now to be honest. Make sure you get the DJI refresh and your good to go
@@muzikmon2267 I had an IOS phone but ditched it.
Sorry John but I wouldn't hold your breath on Evo coming out with a 1" camera. Their track record for deliverables is abysmal.
one of the most beatiful drone videos of all time ... epic landscape ... epic colours
Thanks Rick. Great comment 👍
Dustin, this is a fantastic video! I'm impressed with the camera footage that you where able to capture with the Mavic 2 PRO
I have DJI Mini 2 and definitely, the * DJI Mavic 2* Pro is the next drone I will buy. Amazing video quality and also the drone design, amazing control screen flight design, numbers, and letters font are awesome.
I can’t believe I watched the whole thing and I loved it!
Lol it was cool dude I liked it too. No loss of signal was cool also 👍
Magic 2 pro is good for events for class/parade/family fun day.
Right Andrew 👍. I've tested it since this test and sure enough the beeping stops. Must be a fairly new feature. ✌️
Just had one of these delivered to my house directly from China. I’m scared shitless to touch the box
let the neighbor unbox it lol
Lol that's funny dude. Its the DJI Corona Pro 2 haha I'm sorry dude but dang that's got me thinking about my next drone too. Be careful brother and wear gloves and a mask or stay 6 feet away from it till figure out how to decontaminate it before you fly. Lol
I think your camera has an issue. Mine is CRYSTAL Clear. Beautiful.
Well done flight test.
Dustin, loved the test! You’re the best! Don’t have time to fly my own so I really enjoyed your flight! Thank you so much!
Cool video bro, simple and easy, keep it up bro, two thumbsup 👍👍
Dustin your videos are awesome, i have been a fan for the past year keep it up brotha!! I am a proud owner of the Mavic 2 Pro also. The reason your footage wasn't as good as you were expecting is because most of your camera settings were in AUTO ISO/White Balance and Aperture. The M2P camera settings must be set in Manuel to get the awesome clips others are getting on UA-cam. You will see a huge difference setting it up correct in Manuel.
Thanks Steven. I'll give manual cam control a try in my future vids 👍
This is absolutely beautiful!
When I get a new drone, you are the first channel I turn too
Thank you 😊
Thank you. We've had a good time with you on that trip
?
It went up first when you hit return to home button because you had RTH altitude set at 160 ft, which is a great feature as it allows you to avoid obstacles on your way back such as trees and buildings
As always, an excellent unbiased informative video. Thank you.
Elite Swiper I’m waiting on mines to come in the mail and so excited. Let me know how you like yours!
So you think the evo is better tho?!
Great video bro. I just don’t know if I’d take over $2,000 worth of drone out that far with all of DJI’s poor/negative history for flyaways. Have they worked out all the bugs with the flyaways ?
I've never had a fly away and I've flown / owned most
Great informative demo!, The issues you mentioned regarding the picture quality could be down to shooting F2.8 meaning wide open.
Exactly! Was hoping someone would point out shooting with wide open aperture.
Appreciate all the input.
Good movie thanks for the time and effort, ive owned the dji mini for amonth now and love it but will be buying one of these in the next 8 months. keep the vids coming
Bro, been watching your videos and I want one so bad.
Live in the UK and there so many gorgeous places I could fly it.
Tha is for all these videos I shall keep on watching until I have enough money saved to get one:-)
Top job and happy droning 🤣👍
awesome video bro!
You need to increase the Aperture so everything can be in focus around f5.6 should be good.
I just bought mine and flew it for the first time today and had a ball!!!!
I’m heading to Best Buy this weekend !! 🤟🏻
As a neophyte ('noob'), the video looked superb to me. I think you might have a point in that against a basically green background, the camera's capabilities are less easily demonstrated. I'd like to see some footage in another setting (like Utah or CO), with more variety of colors and shades to highlight that camera's performance.
Excellent video. One of the best I have seen on the M2P.
The wind can change directions and speed at any time It has to make sure it is able to make it back to home and not die in the field That's why it turns around quicker
precision landing 2.0 is coming in a future firmware update. It has been confirmed on twitter by DJI
Aloha
omg the video quality is amazing on this thing
im glad someone did a range test on the mavic pro 2 cause in the next couple weeks im plannig on getting one. Nice thanks
Can you buy one for me bro...😁😁😀😀😊😊
Gotta get one. That's a bad ass drone. Bad ass video too. Thanks. Happy flying.
Hey how come you never do range tests over the ocean? If there are no reasons why not could you do one with the Mavic 2 over the ocean? Love the videos!
What a great idea! That would be cool. Maybe see some sea life.
Dam dude, my I2 would never go that far away and it cost 6k more... WTH
We did a test yesterday with a MP2 and got 7km ( 22,900 ft). It was still working well. The limiting factor was the battery. We made it back with 1 minute flight time left. No wind during flight.
I like the way you've structured and edited your videos mate! Just discovered your channel and you've convinced me to subscribe straight away.
But great video never the less.
this video makes me want one of these incredible stuff right here
19k with 35% left is pretty damn good! I've been over 22k with my MP, but there was no wind and I flew at 10' above the ground the whole way.
I need to convince the wife to let me upgrade mine.

Check out my maximum range test up in a few hours 👍
Mavic 2 Pro will be your best drone these days in the mid-range drones 👍
It will go past 4 miles and keep signal good in areas that don't have powerlines and factorys and electric lines or towns. Out of town on a hill or high place without obstructions in an open area will give the best signal strength. I live in town so I can't fly far without losing signal to video but the drone doesn't loose signal just the camera does.
Nice flight Dustin ND filter might have improved the video quality not sure but thanks for the range test.
Sweet! I am liking the Pro 2! I may have to get my hands on the Pro 2 Zoom!
Can’t they just swap out the camera or is the programming all different?
I don't own this _beauty_ but I learned a lot from this video! Thanks!
I think that this test should be Voided due to the strong headwind on the way out, which limited the distance because those props would have been fighting it! You could see on the way back with the wind behind you now, that the flight was smoother and seemed quicker(?). Impressive craft! Dear Santa!
i bought a refurb dji goggles... no way i can go back to phone or tablet for viewing.. 2 5 inch screens one for each eye... where you look the camera looks.. perfect VR .. easiest way to control the camera for mavic pro
Did they work well with the Mav 2? I keep reading about compatibility issues.
I love your vids man
Who doesn't
I've seen screenshots of several posts by DJI support persons claiming that precision landing will be included in future firmware updates.
Precision Landing 2.0 is coming
🤞🙂🤞
Precision Landing came out a couple days ago in a firmware update
Finally! 🙂
Here's the dumb question.
Start out with the dji tello. Easy to use and will get you scenery shots you're looking for.
@@antoniogarcia7574 I presume it's also a cheaper option? LOL

Likely interference around (extremely variable) or you weren't pointing the front flat part of antennas at drone correctly 🍻
@@DustinDunnill Thanks. As of this writing I have made over 7,000 feet. I was just surrounded by trees and electromagnetic interference. Thanks!
