"This episode featured the premiere of "Captain Jack's Theme", which plays during the moment he ploughs a tractor into the barn where his teammates are held captive and starts shooting at the cannibals. The onomatopoetic structure of Captain Jack's theme made it a popular hit among the musical scores in the first two Torchwood series. "
It's a crime Jack wasn't in the 50th. He could still reappear in the future. Its established that Jack ages slowly. Have a story set in the year 10 million and we can have a visibly older John Barrowman playing Jack.
I told my friend (who'd never heard this awesome theme before) that it's based on a phrase, but she didn't want me to tell her what. Listening to the piece, she said you can definitely hear that it's a phrase. It's kind of fascinating, how strongly the verbal basis of the music comes through. Finally she asked me what the phrase was. The interesting thing is that even when you know, it doesn't diminish the power of the music -- if anything, it adds something.
This theme never ever gets old, I think that the BBC should, SHOULD bring TORCHWOOD Back! It was so good, the storylines an the dark horror, with it being a Whovian spin off an have the guest star appearances. I loved Gwen's character, after Miracle day, who know, it could go another way, that is what I love about the show. As the story is unanswered. Wish Captain Jack would appear in Doctor Who again. Think the way Jenna is going in Doctor Who, why not let her be the big surprise of the shows return? Subbed... Always love this theme. The TorchWood theme by itself , just goes it show how powerful the show is.

"This episode featured the premiere of "Captain Jack's Theme", which plays during the moment he ploughs a tractor into the barn where his teammates are held captive and starts shooting at the cannibals. An extra in the Series 2 disc set shows Murray Gold found his inspiration to compose the theme out of this scene by bashing out notes on his piano keyboard to the tune of, "here he comes in a ruddy-great tractor". The onomatopoetic structure of Captain Jack's theme made it a popular hit among the musical scores in the first two Torchwood series. "
The man who never dies.
MrGunner300 the ironic thing? he died.
He died... *spoiler alert * he was the face of boe and .. well .. the face of boe is dead so yeah
Diana Henderson yea i never understood that, jack was a fixed point in time but when hes the face of boe he suddenly dies for good?
+MrGunner300 Except that time when he dies. :-/
+Jekyll /Hyde very likely old age, i think he just reached the point where he became atoms, living in a sense
Something just occurred to me. If Jack is immortal, then...who would win if he got in a fight with Deadpool?
Oh shit.
Well technically deadpool isnt immortal just really really hard to kill, while Jack is a fixed point in time
Brendan Kress True, true.
jack would end up flirting with him anyway (or viceversa!)
actually deadpool is immortal... Thanos cursed him and now he's immortal
Please bring Captain Jack back he is awesome!
It's a crime Jack wasn't in the 50th. He could still reappear in the future. Its established that Jack ages slowly. Have a story set in the year 10 million and we can have a visibly older John Barrowman playing Jack.
Caption jack is coming to doctor who and maybe TORCHWOOD
This theme has to be one of the coolest out there
He's back boys
The boe plot-twist i consider to be one of the best in creation.
Holy crap, WHY DOESN'T THIS HAVE 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999 LIKES AND 0 DISLIKES?!
Because not that many people exist
You are about to enter the court room of Judge Jack Harkness. The people are real. The cases are real. The rulings are final. This is Jack (judy).
The BBC do know we would all.devour a new season of Torchwood, right?
Wouldn't be the same, at all...
No, cant say it would.
Solid Snake I would like another series, but I miss Tosh and Owen. Plus if it did come back it would still be completely americanised, and that guy can't die now, so I think it's a rushed end. I still think that Jack need to come back to Doctor Who though.
Snake,snake,SNAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Benjamin Simpson Hello?
He's back
oh my dear this song makes my die and gives me the power to survive in the same moment! I love it! Fantastic!!
Love that scene in Children of earth episode 3 when they get his suit back and this theme plays in the background! 😊
All the track sounds to me is:
"Here comes Jack in a very big tractor"
"Here comes Jack in a very big tractor"
He's coming back, baby.
#JackIsBack
MA BOI IS BACK!!
Really cool and reflective of Jack.
When he fully returns I hope they redo the “Doctoooooooor” scene
ROSE GOT NICE BUNS
