If Metal Sonic could talk, he would probably say, "You knew I was a threat, you knew I wanted to find Eggman and you knew I had my rebelliousness removed... and you still chose to repair me and set me free. If anything, you are the one to blame, not me."
Exactly. Villains and Heroes make mistakes, but sometimes the hero makes mistakes that could demonize him/her, looking like the villain they fight, or seems like they are in cahoots with one another
@@cyberprime9355 Sonic is about to go through what Captain America is going through after that whole Hydra incident. If the info comes out there are goingg to be people that blame Sonic for the entire ordeal and no matter how much good he does after this there are going to be people that mistrust him or flat out hate him from here on. It is fascinating to think about this kind of dynamic and I wonder if this will carry over into the games as well.

@@cyberprime9355 I can also see people already dissatisfied with Sonic after he loses to Infinite. Plus Sonic's friend's didn't exactly turn things around by themselves when Sonic was MIA. I can see a group of people rising up and saying they can do the Heroes job better and maybe there is a few issues that they DO do a better job. Could be a great way to get the Freedom Fighters back into the game or at the very least strong expies of them.
I feel like Gemerl should have said, "Are you sure about this, Sonic? What if she takes control of me? After all, I am a machine facing one of the very creatures that can control machines."
Well its suprising cause hes a robot of free will ,but i do believe he will break free and engage them if cream gets infected.

They were spread thin and running out of time. And they were hoping for Gemerl to sneak in and surprise Zeena.
Extremely risky, and it could have ended badly in every way. But considering their options, I can see why they chose him to face her.
Calling it right now. After this arc Eggman's words will linger in Sonic's head and we are gonna have a "Sonic No More" or "The Search for Sonic" type of story.
Make for one hell of a turnaround.
If that happens, hopefully Eggman will be one or more of of the following during then: in jail, temporarily dead, missing again, and/or a secondary or minor threat.

@@cyberprime9355 Well, we've already got that here with the Deadly Six, even if Eggman started it, but having a variety of major villains would be nice instead of all Eggman, yes. Still, I'd like to see Eggman actually like to see Eggman not escape this time.

I liked how you acknowledged that it was cool that characters you’d never expect to meet up like the Babylon rouges and Gemeral working on the same team to take down a member of the deadly six. I really like it when characters you’d never expect to meet up do.

Also, it was so *cathartic* to see the Babylon Rogue get their asses kick by Master Zik. Serves them right for underestimating him. Jet was *so* lucky that Sonic didn't see that.
Sometimes, people like jet need a kick in the ass to see that they went wrong.

I realize how Zazz was able to see Espio. Its because the zeti have the ability to control magnetic fields. So to some ability they must also be able to sense electromagnetic fields. All living creatures naturally produce electromagnetic fields. This is how sharks are able to hunt it all makes sense now.

CyberPrime 935 Eggman may end up a target for a manhunt, Sonic being less of a happy go lucky guy and Starline may use the resources he took from eggman to build his own jig.

But there is one other factor that could play into Eggman's hands: Use the conversation he had with Sonic and weaponize it, essentially dragging him down with Eggman, ruining his reputation with the masses, and instill even more hopelessness in them. They could start to question if their really are any heroes left
@@cyberprime9355 Yeah, Eggman does seem to have gone kinda Injustice Gods Among Us Joker in this comic, targeting a mass of innocent people just to torment ONE GUY and mocking him to the point where he's practically begging for a death wish. For Eggman to have fallen into that makes him pretty pathetic IMO.
@@videogollumer as Injustice implies, it always starts with one. While it is petty and pointless, it shows that Eggman is resorting to increasingly dangerous methods to take over the world. It went from simply imprisoning critters in shells to giant mecha, to even total takeover in Forces. Zombots are essentially another attempt at control, much worse than anything he's done. It essentially means, that Sonic may be on the verge of snapping mentally, and physically in regards to eggman
Its nice to know that there isn't a reboot on the horizon. The metal virus is underway to being destroyed.
The Game is set with the others: Gemerl has Zeena, but is now a slave thanks to cream for joining him. Though, she has lost a lot and seen a lot. So, I cannot stay mad at her for having the spark to fight back.
Silver and Whisper will tackle Zor.
Espio is going solo against Zazz
The Rogues are taking on Zix, and Tails and Amy are taking on Zomom.
Zomom is a glutton with a severe disinterest in combat, so he will fight, but much less inclined to do it compared to his cohorts.
The dynamic with Eggman and Sonic was well written. Wanting and willing are two separate things. Eggman will NEVER want to change, no matter how many times Sonic defeats him.
That reflects a point that is often addressed in the Hero-Villain dynamic: Sometimes, the only way to stop an enemy permanently is to kill them. Something villains are more than willing to commit to, and heroes often challenge.
However, this game of cat and mouse can only go on for so long before either the villain or the hero kills one or the other. But suppose the hero actually kills the main villain. What happens after? Do they stop there or do they move the goal post going forward? Should they move the goal post, they eventually become the villain, the very thing they fought against for so long. But if the villain wins, A rebellion often ensues, with varying degrees of success. It even leads to some villains being executed by the rebels. But either way, one side is destined to win. It either ends with both dying, or one surviving.
Also, nothing stays the same forever. Things will change, things will escalate, and people will suffer, much less with the hero, but the opposite happens under villains
-An unquestionable example is Injustice, where Supes kills the Joker after Metropolis is nuked after tricking Superman into sending his wife and unborn child into space.
Metal Sonic in particular is an interesting case. The hardware is destroyed, by the software, which is usually the digital content inside the hardware, and the programming of a machine, MS's actions make much more sense now back in issue 12

@@cyberprime9355 Well, you'd also have to make sure there are no mystic energies around him either. Also, if the point was to keep him alive, you'd also have to have some unlucky person or people to tend to him. If you wanted to rotate them out, you'd need an electronic free, mystic energy free, transportation source to swap them out. By that point it would probably be easier to execute him for, basically, attempted omnicide.
I love this metal virus plot. Reminds me so much of Resident Evil/Walking Dead. They should seriously make a game on this.

I don’t see the point if the story is exactly the same.
9:01 it was said that the treadmill used in the previous issue was taken apart for parts used for the transporting machine, leaving the treadmill as it is in this issue.
But yeah, it all comes down to this. Everyone takes one final stand to stop the Deadly Six from taking over the world. You took the words right out of my mouth in your review. However, there is still one character missing from the battle: Omega. He is unable to fight, but I'm thinking he might be used by Eggman; he'll probably steal him when no one's looking to rebuild some sort of giant robot to defeat the heroes. Let's hope it doesn't come to this.
Welp press f to pay respects to Cream, who is definitely screwed.
Didn't Think This Through: In Issue 26: Apparently no one thought that sending Gemerl (a robot) up against a Zeti (who can control machines) was a bad idea. Likewise Cream's insistence on coming and jumping into the portal against his wishes ended up putting her in danger as she didn't have much of a plan other than trying to shame Zeena into giving up.

There was one page in this comic I really enjoyed.
While everyone was talking, you can see in the corner Metal Sonic and Gemerl just face each other up close almost an inch apart.

Of all the things in this issue, I kinda liked the combinations of warriors in the fight against the Deadly Six:
- Silver and Whisper must be able to fight Zor, thanks to their long-distance arsenal and flight capability
- Espio fighting Zazz is a tough choice. A berserker versus a ninja. I kinda liked Zazz was able to detect Espio through the smell, and, unless Espio has a Shikamaru-style of plan, this fight will be problematic for him
- Cream made her choice when she went to fight Zeena; she knew Gemerl wasn't made for this. This will be interesting
- Amy and Tails, a brawler and a genius fighting the fat idiot; they must be able to retrieve his Chaos Emerald before the situation gets a lot worse
- The Babylon Rogues against Master Zik, of all the combinations this is certainly the weirdest and the most interesting; although I didn't understand how the Zeti was able to control the EX Gears, since they're not robots. Still, using their attacks from the Riders game that was great
- Although Zavok didn't fight anyone here, his first match must be with Rouge and she needs to have some arsenal with her, or else she will be infected quite rapidly.
Maybe the zeti can control any electronics
@@personma6653 After a brief checkup on Sonic Lost World, Eggman says that "the Zeti have the innate ability to manipulate magnetic fields; they can make electronics do interesting things".
So, the reason why Master Zik can manipulate the EX Gears is perfectly understandable. My question is solved.
I just like seeing Tails and Amy work together in general because their strengths complement each other's weaknesses well; and when they're together their similarities really stand out.
Jet's face as the Zombots are about to infect Wave and Storm is *so* *satisfying* considering how much of a prick he is.
Eggman and Metal will *never* *change* Sonic. You just can't save everybody.
The Deadly Six were crazy prepared. That's scary.
You're telling me. You can't save everybody. Some people cannot be saved or even WANT to be saved. A cold reality, but a reality none the less.

'Eggman and Metal will never change, Sonic' means that Sonic should know that no matter what he does, no matter how hard he tries, the two main villains will never change for the better.
@@mysteriousgirl9211 And sonic is learning the hard way. This entire saga won't be without repercussions in later issues, as well as scars on the heroes' psyche. It may be what forces them to consider that sometimes you can't let the villains go, you gotta either incapacitate them, or actually kill the villain to spare many.
But this is a very slippery slope because, well.....it always starts with one.

It's really interesting to think on how Sonic will be after this arc. It's his fault that the world got screwed, but at the same time, he was just doing what is morally right (because Mr. Tinker and Metal Sonic), he literally worked non-stop since he was infected saving everyone and he even was close to being the one who would save the world by being the only hope for finding a cure, but he screws up (even though Tails couldn't do much with it). It is fascinating and the future IDW Sonic seems like a very fascinating character.
To be real, I'm on the side that Sonic shouldn't be held accountable, he didn't know that Eggman had such a plan, or that Mr. Tinker would get his memories back, or even if despite that he would return to his evil ways, he didn't know that Metal Sonic had pretty much lost his free will, not even Tails had looked into it, for some reason, so how could Sonic also be completely accountable for that?
And then there is the other side, who was also completely right about the fact that these two shouldn't be trusted.
It's not black and white, it's Grey and it's awesome. But I'm still on Sonic's side because, everybody deserves another chance, in my eyes. Yes, Eggman is not the most worthy of mercy, but everyone can change, heck, Mr. Tinker showed that Eggman could do good and he actually enjoyed it, showing (besides his past good deeds) that he, like everyone else, can do good. It was his choice to not do so.
Now, about Sonic not respecting Metal's choice... To be fair to him, Sonic didn't say anything about Eggman, he asked if he wanted a truce or not. He didn't judge Metal because there is nothing inherently wrong in hating Sonic, what he did with that hatred was a different story, but he those have the right to judge his choice to serve Eggman, because Eggman made him do bad stuff, and he had the choice to reject it. OK, fine, in the literal sense he couldn't reject it, but it doesn't mean he shouldn't have anyway.
Edit: One last interesting thing:we know that Silver's involvement is what saves the future and now I think we know why, for saving Sonic a few comics ago, and because Whisper probably wouldn't be enough to defeat the emo Zeti (sorry, I don't know his name.)
Well, think of it this way. Even with amnesia, Eggman is still a very unstable person. We can probably assume Eggman's amnesia was caused by getting hit on the head. For all we know, Mr. Tinker could have become Eggman again from something as simple as hitting his head again! Futhermore, Sonic never returned to check on "Mr. Tinker" after beating Neo Metal Sonic, even though Neo Metal mentioned directly to Sonic that Eggman reprogrammed him to be loyal to him. He also mentioned that Eggman gave him his bio-data, which included Eggman's motivation to conquer the world and reshape it in his image. Eggman, when he is beaten, always begins to form a new plan to achieve the same goal. Obviously, Metal would have looked for Eggman. Really, Sonic shouldn't have simply let them both "go off and frolic on their own". Sonic may have been trying to do the right thing, but he was still irresponsible about how he did it.
@@videogollumer I mean, yes, that's true. But on the other hand, Sonic probably doesn't know how programming works. For all he knows, in his appearance in Sonic Heroes, Neo Metal Sonic probably was programmed to not disobey Eggman, and through sheer will, ignored it, but this time he just didn't do that, if you remember, we never see Sonic tell anyone, like Tails, that Metal was reprogrammed to do Eggman's bidding, and he just doesn't understand that Eggman was truly stupid to the point of not having made such a program in Sonic Heroes, and again, probably thought he betrayed him by overcoming that program or something. If Tails knew about this, he wouldn't go with Sonic's plan without even giving a piece of his mind, the most he did was ask if Sonic was sure.
The other argument that goes with Sonic's decision is that Neo Metal Sonic, with all of his resources, couldn't find Eggman, making it very unlikely that he would find Eggman so fast. I believe the biggest problem with this part isn't really that Mr. Tinker is unstable and when Metal eventually found him he could regain his memories, I mean, that's true but nobody could see that coming. Nobody knew what Metal wanted to do, and nobody knew he was the only thing that could make Eggman regain his memories. What I believe they did wrong was not leave anyone guarding Eggman. I mean, they could have easily sent someone from the resistance to make sure Eggman doesn't do anything suspicious, but they didn't. I think that's the bigger issue. Because of that, it took multiple books for them to know about Eggman's disappearance, which they would be informed of almost immediately instead.
@@gigaphoton376 Well, that's what I'm saying; they should have at least kept an eye on him. No matter how nice the guy is, it doesn't change the fact that he used to be Dr. Eggman. Futhermore, mercy does not mean you drop the accountability all together. Giving Eggman a chance to live in peace helps Eggman, but what about the damage he caused to the rest of the world? Eggman caused harm, lot's of it. Sonic can't speak for everyone by forgiving Eggman himself. Personally, I feel they should have, at the most lenient, convinced Mr. Tinker to join the restoration. Even if they couldn't convince him that he used to be Eggman, they could simultaneously keep an eye on him and have him aid in fixing the damage he caused.
Thank God, no reboot.
Poor Cream, even in the IDW Comics she's being neglected. SEGA isn't doing anything with her and Sally repeatedly patronized her in the Archie Comics.
Espio might be able to camouflage himself, but he can't mask his scent.
Don't feel bad, Sonic. You managed to (re)deem another Metal Sonic in the Archie Comics. He then went onto become Shard the Metal Sonic.
In terms in story what can she do? She is 6 year old kid? Do you expect. 6 year old to fight deadly looking things that can control robots and destroy shit?
@@sliceninja4546 The only advantage she has is flight. It was reckless of her to jump into battle, but I can hardly blame after all she's been through. Hopefully her efforts won't be in vain...
@@sliceninja4546 I mean yes why shouldn't she she was also fighting Metal Overlord and Egg Emperor together with Amy and Big and if the true finally of Advance 2 is anything to go by so did her story in that game also canonically happen because its the only one in which Vanilla ends up being saved so that she can be recaptured by Eggman at the start of the final story.
And heck Amy in Battle even "forced" her to train with her and both Tails and sonic comment in that Game about how much stronger the 2 have gotten do to it.

Sadly, Cream does get infected, however, it is highly likely that she didn’t fully transform. Due to the fact that Gemerl was flying Cream back the long way, and he probably was flying across a body of water.
Someone give my man Espio some respect. Sega you have not let him shine by letting him get captured it would have been cooler just to have Espio pull if off to show why he was one of the best trained fighters. You do realize he is on par with Sonic Shadow and Knuckles

We sure have entered the final act of this nightmare of a storyline, lets sure as heck the heroes do get some victories in and the Metal Virus crisis is resolved...

I’m personally hoping Tails will reprogram metal, because unlike Egggman when he got his memory back, he never had a choice due to his programming, so I’d like to see the writers do something with this in the future

Does anyone aside from me think that Shadow will joke about the Metal Virus being nothing compared to trying to destroy an entire planet to avenge someone? Because I think Shadow will bring that up at some point, only for Sonic to try to justify making a (brutal) comparison between Shadow and Eggman.
Its a possibility. Shadow may be an grim antihero, but even he has some restraint following the events of adventure 2.

That whole callout of the Archie reboot was so hilarious to me.
Messed up? OK yeah. It WAS sort of a low blow to the whole reboot that was forced on Archie after their legal battle, but come on. You gotta admit that it was a little funny how they went about saying it. Plus a LOT of the old Archie staff is now working for IDW & the SEGA liaisons who're also working on the series since everything MUST go through them first before publication. Since that was one of the main reasons why they lost their legal battle: Not enough oversight by SEGA.
This arc has been one of the best stories Sonic has had in a LONG time. This arc feels like it should've belonged in Sonic Forces & you can definitely tell that when they said they were gonna stick more to game lore, they MEANT it. All the original characters not only work for the universe, but we also see some of them in Sonic Forces as part of the resistance. With the character customization feature, we got to see what these side characters would look like in the IDW series. Also characters like Whisper the Wolf, Dr. Starline, and Tangle have all had their designs confirmed by SEGA & they had even featured Whisper on their store before during Comic Con.
What I like the most about this series is how organic all the interactions feel & the way the art allows them to emote. It helps that the style remains at a high standard and everyone has to go off of the same model sheets / color schemes for the characters to avoid creating unnecessary changes to how a character is designed. Everyone feels exactly how they do in the game and I'm always able to hear the voices of the characters as I'm reading each issue. That doesn't happen a lot with other series I read.
So far my score is a solid 10/10. I LOVE everything this arc has given me so far and I'm hoping that we'll continue on this high note for many years to come.

I kind of want him to review the Archie Sonic online comic that continues the story, don’t know how he feels about fanworks tho, but the quality of it is fantastic

Why does everyone keep thinking that Sonic intended for Gemerl to take Zeena by surprise? And that Cream forcing herself is what enabled Gemerl to get controlled by Zeena? The former was barely implied, with Sonic only acknowledging that sending in Gemerl against *any* of the Deadly 6 was risky, but nothing about taking Zeena by surprise. And for the latter, Gemerl technically still had the element of surprise, as Zeena's attention was focused on Cream. That said, I am highly pissed off at how Cream was handled in this issue. I thought we were absolutely *done* with the whole "You can't come with us Cream, it's too dangerous!" nonsense. How many people actually liked all those times of Sally patronizing Cream, telling her to remain on Sky Patrol and be useless? And indeed, it's thanks to that stupidity that Cream was kept from doing anything of significance throughout Shattered World and World's Unite! But despite that, and despite bringing up Cream's bravery and potential as a hero, Flynn has Gemerl do that exact thing to her in this issue...? For fuck's sake, Cream is NOT SatAM!Tails. Enough of this nonsensical bullshit
Of course, Cream does pretty much go "fuck that shit" and go to help fight Zeena anyway. Which I would've praised to high heaven if Cream wasn't made to try and *shame* Zeena into giving up her Chaos Emerald, instead of giving that Zeti a flying kick to the face like Cream actually would have...
And now people are taking that moment to mean that Cream *should* have stayed behind on Angel Island and be useless, because apparently that's all she's good for; just be a cute face, do some funny things, and in this case be sad. But fighting and being an actually useful character??? Oh no, Cream can't and shouldn't do anything like that! Sonic X and those games that show otherwise? They're fucking stupid lulz Clearly Cream only exists to be baby'd and to stay out of the action! Thanks a lot, Flynn. Only reason I'm not dropping IDW Sonic right now is the hope that the next issue would do Cream justice. But given what Cover A shows... I'm giving Flynn some serious "benefit of doubt" in that regard

Its like Ian always forgets that canonically in Advance 2 Cream saved her mother her self, was part of the groups the fought and defeated Metal Overlord and Super Egg Robo Z (the regular final boss of Advance 3) beat E102 Chaos Gamma in a one on one, trained hard with Amy and Emerl AND is showing in generations to be able to keep up with Sonic's boost speed.
And because of this shows her as rather weak.
Yes Cream talking to Zeena instead of just pushing her like she did with Gamma in Sonic battle makes no sense at all but again same issue with Tails and Amy when there faced Zommon and Silver and Zor were Silver was nerved from what was previously seen just so make it harder (because breaking the laws of the universe just to make things more action orientated can't possibly cheapen the story)
I actually find it particular dumb not just because the Characters again try to keep cream out of the action but also because its completely contradicting what was seen in the last 2 issues in which cream was for to brocken to go into an violent outburst or just talk with Zeena rather than going in like Rambo.
So no matter from which perspective you come (what was shown in the comics so far or what we know about her from the games) it makes just no sense.
And Yes I wouldn't get my hopes up for the next issue I presume that ether Ian will pull the Gizoid card to make Zenna lose control or have Tails and Amy take over the fight from her.
Best case scenario really would be that she at least on her own manages to get the Emerald before turning into a Zombot her self (which will properly happen by the hands of ether her mother or her Chao's because Ian loves his cheap drama)

Perhaps they wanted her to stay behind for selfish reasons? I don't mean that in a negative way, though. Think about it, even if Cream can handle herself, she's still an innocent minded, kind hearted, little girl. If she got turned into a zombie robot slave to be used for destruction; Gemerl, Amy, Sonic, Tails... they'd never forgive themselves. Cream's motive for jumping in along with Gemerl could be considered selfish in the same way. She considers it wrong of her not to help her own family when they're suffering.

Sonic is stressed, Sonic is depressed, he's tired, he's exhausted, hell, shortly before he told about the plan he almost collapsed *the moment* he stopped running. He's in no condition to be making a plan. He's in no condition to be thinking, because I doubt he properly can. He's irritated, he's frustrated, he's angry, tired, and I doubt he was in any condition to be thinking up a plan. But of course he wouldn't say that - a hero is always fine, after all?

With how mad Sonic is at Metal for going back to Eggman, I think it's still going to take a wake up call from Tails to get Sonic to admit this if they find out Metal restored Eggman's memory. Tails would be have to be all "Sonic, open your eyes! We repaired Metal Sonic and let him go; part of the blame is ours!".

I am actually heavily disagree with you here while we properly would have gotten a better Shadow without the rules does my knowledge about all of Ian's own fan works tell me that without any limits he by know would have already had Perma killed half the cast because this is exactly what he always does when no ones is holding him back raising the stacks and drama artificially by just brutally killing some main characters. And he also has the bad habit of completely ignoring a Characters character in order to make the story he wants to tell happen regardless if the events that certain Characters have to do make sense for this Character to do or not.
In fact is this something you can see all over this entire story Arc were Ian blandly ignores certain Characters actual characters and makes them dumber or more naive or something like this than normal. If anything would I argue that Ian has way to much control because no one is insuring that his writing is actually consistent and he him self doesn't seam to care all that much about staying consistent right now.

I wouldn't hold it against him; he's starting to do better with Amy. Her partnership with Tails in this issue and the preview pages of the next issue really showed off her more familiar traits. Now if only he'd let her step away from the desk so she could be in the field more often.

Okay seriously this Comic series continue to be just down right unbearable stupid.
I mean lets start with a few "minor" things before I get to the biggest Issue from them all.
For the start lets talk about Cream because her behavior here makes no sense what so ever.
Its not only a complete 180 of her behavior from the previous issue in which she showed not wanting to endanger anything possibility to save her family. Its further more also makes no sense given the events that she just did go through given that not staying home like her mother wanted lead to the lost of Chesse and Chocola and Vector against orders bringing Charmy into Restauration HQ was a huge factor in her losing her mother meaning that from her recent experiences should she thing that disobeying leads to most lost given that this is exactly how she lost her family in the first place.
Than would be the next problem that Sonic is enlisted to make the battle plan something he not only has hardly any experiences in but also should be quite hard for him given that he is both Physically and mentally at his limit.
Meanwhile do there have Eggman who has just as much knowledge about the Deathly 6 as Sonic has (properly even more given that he build the machines that Zazz and Zor are still using) and on top of this also has an IQ of 300.
Than is there obviously the question why the hell did there not disclose that Zik would be able to take over the Extrem gears to the Babilon rogues which is a huge part into why there got into trouble.
And what the hell was wrong with Tails and Amy upon meeting Zommon stop with the pointless small talk your entire plan is based on the Idea that it needs to happen quickly to prevent the Zeti to start a counter attack.
And Sonic please stop being a brain dead idiot I mean sending Gemerl against Zenna as if she wouldn't imminently turn the handsome robot into her personal butler come on she is already so 1 dimensional and you still can't comprehend her. But what do you expect from the Guy that genuinely assumed Metal would turn good when you just let him be after he already told you that Eggman puts Super obedience into him somewhere between Rivals 2 and now.
And to not forget about Knuckles dude you literally got Gemerl right here who really shouldn't fight teh Zeti and you want Cream to stay also(never mind all the Civilians that you could just give a Wispown) just let them take care of you Emerald for a moment because it and you as its guardian will become very useless ones you all are just Robot Zombies or are you really to dense to understand how insignificant you Master Emeralds safety is compared to the fate of literally the entire world
So now with these out of the way lets talk about the 2 Big ones.
I already was rather angered by the fact that there just let Eggman run around on his own and allow Metal to still be active but what there did this time is just so so much worse. I mean we see Eggman TWICE working ON HIS OWN WITHOUT ANYONE DOUBLE CHECKING HIM on the multi Teleporter. ARE THEY INSANE! Eggman could have done so much to temper with the damn thing reaching from working only on his comand and so being a good escape plan over making it so that he on command can oder it to implode all of Angle Island all the way to insuring that everyone that goes through one of the Portal would emerge as a brainwashed slave to Eggman,
Seriously I start to thign Black Doom was right when he said the world is better of as his peoples foot surply because there are still slower in exterminating all time one the world than there are them self because of how stupid all of them are.
And the Second really big problem is there plan in it self is just so dumb.
I mean look here we have the Warp Topaz a gem that Starlin already showed to have the power to literally take someone the ground under there feet away by placing a portal there. So why don't you just drag the Deadly six one by one onto Angle Island (preferably far away from the teleporting device it self) and that just gang up on them I mean even Zavok with a Chaos Emerald will stand no change on his own against the combined might of Storm and Knuckles.
And before anyone says there can't possibly pinpoint them this precise to do this have I only to say this. Yes they can. And how you now may ask well that's simple each of them has a Chaos Emerald with them so just build a Chaos Emerald detector like the one seen in Sonic Riders Opening or like the Master Emerald powered one from Rivals 2 or like the long distance one form 06 Egg Carrier and 06 Eggman's glasses and use the location of the Emeralds to pinpoint the Zeti.
In this case could Knuckles even use the Master Emerald to shut down the Chaos Emeralds and weakening the Zeti to a stayed were defeat becomes inevitable for them.
Never mind that there could also just use it on Zavok using Rouge to give them the perfect coordinates and than use the Zeti's communication devices to pinpoint them down I mean ones Zavok and Zik fall have there anyway already won because the other 4 don't have the brains to ever find them.
I mean really the plan there came up with in the story is the most risk involving one there could have come up because now do there have to fight them in small groups while they them self have all and highly infectious Zombie Robots Army to fight for them while also being able to use the full power of the Chaos Emerald they have.
its all just a whole bunch of contrivances to have the story and the stacks happen the way the author wanted to completely disregarding any kind of logic and natural behavior of the Characters.
well, cream is being very emotional at the moment, so she's probably not thinking straight, that sometimes tends to happen, so i really don't have a big issue with that, what i do have an issue with is the aforementioned sonic sending a robot to the robot controlling bad guys, that's just, retarded.
as for the master emerald plan, the only issues i see here is that we could possibly run into a sonic battle problem where the zeti might try and break the master emerald, either directly, or indirectly, not to mention if metal or gemerl happened to be near the vicinity, then the zeti could easily take advantage of them, which could lead to more problems.
other than that though, good points all around.
and hey, there's only 3 or 4 issues left until we're finally done with this arc, so, that's great.

I mean if should just wouldn't want to lose Gemerl as well or simply saw how dumb Sonic's plan was would I have been more forgiving but as its framed does it make no sense for her to act this way given her actions from the previous 2 issues as well as the events that led up to here.
I mean Zavok hardly even know about the Chaos emerlads and didn't know about Angle Island at all so I would assume he also wouldn't know what a master Emerald is. And both Metal and Gemerl can fly so just send them off the Island for a while out of the Zeties control range.
Not to mention that there could just drop them in Sandopolis and let the Hyudoros take care of them.
Thankfully is this nightmare is soon over and I really hope that with the end of this story will be also see an change in editorial staff because we seriously need someone that doesn't green-light contrive garbage like this.

joking aside, and i'm maybe being a bit too optimistic, but i feel some of the issues in this story might have come from the fact that this was originally an archie story, i mainly say this because some stuff seems to only make sense when you take that into account, specifically the way eggman acts, the restoration being a possible stand in for the freedom fighters, sonic's general personality like you said, maybe it's all in my head, but i'd like to get your perspective on this seeing how you're more familiar with the archie comics than i am.

i'm mainly talking about his lack of back up plans in case the zombot virus gets out of hand, since, the games generally with a few exception give him back up plans incase something goes wrong (the nuke in sa1 and i believe death egg thing in forces are the two examples i can think of right now), rather than his personality, which again, i can only assume that was a trait for archie eggman that ian forgot to change about the original draft when he wrote this.
