Crysis does pretty well with this card - even better in-game. To avoid the bugs of v1.2 in Windows 7, I rin the game in compatibility mode for Vista and get no flaws. I also removed all of the cheats when I play now.
Recently, I got Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Crysis Warhead (recently as in the time I uploaded this video) - I may do some videos of them too. Crysis Warhead gets so many more frames than vanilla Crysis - BFBC2 runs flawlessly and is UBER FUN ONLINE!!! I'm rapljwop on there too if you want to add me - I play mainly Squad Deathmatch and Rush.

@repaate I'm finding it hard to understand what you mean, but I'll try to answer as best as I can. The current and latest series of the ATI Radeon cards from AMD are the HD 5000 series - the 5850, 5870 and 5970 being the best and most popular of the high end cards. If you're on a budget, an HD 5770 is great too.
The HD 5850 plays all games fluidly including Crysis at Very High, 1920x1080, 0xAA.
If you have £240 (or whatever that is in your currency) I recommend you get an HD 5850!
@moonshiry For Crysis Warhead to work in 64-bit mode you need to download the latest patch.
Also, I've read that on all PCs, the MW2 disc is useless unless you do some complicated procedure to get it to install. People just tend to use the product key that came in the box to activate it on Steam as the need to, but also download it from Steam instead.
@STEAMflipp25 a 5970? WOW! THAT WILL BE AWESOME!!! You must be getting a big case to fit that baby! I wouldn't go from an HD 5870 to an HD 5970 personally if I had the money, as some time around Autumn (or Fall if you're an American) AMD are already preparing to launch their HD 6000 series cards!!! Yes, AMD are really on top of the game this year!!! ATI Radeon FTW!!!
@rosco4360 each test was a benchmark you get in the game - the laggy part I cannot explain - probably a memory leak or something at that point - many people say they get it there with many different types of CPU's, memory or graphics cards.
@rapljwop sorry about that, i got confused, i was talking about a 6850, a 5850 is a bit more powerfull and im not to sure about the power requirments but im still sure a 500w could run it.
@ThePatriots17 lol - Crysis had a very famous history of people trying to run it on high or even very high back then - an nvidia 8800GT/GTX SLi system was they way to get it running above 30 fps back then :P

1. 500W is not great idea - go for at least 600W of a decent brand
2. You will max out BFBC2 yes. You will max out most things (Metro 2033 may lag)
You should go for a Phenom II x4 965 or 970 or perhaps a hexacore AMD CPU
@xBlueXFoxx the difference between 1.2 and 12.1 is minimal with performance but has a negative impact on KPA jeeps - they lose their rear wheels

@STEAMflipp25 11 inches vs 12 inches - quite a difference when it comes to case options - most cases only fot a 10.5" card (like mine so I had to get the HD 5850 instead of the HD 5870 - 5850 is 9.5").
@360pro1799 ultra high is a graphics mod - not a part of Crysis. In short yes, but in some areas the graphics lag with the Ultra High graphics mod. Makes things look darker too - stick with Very High - the highest setting with an un-modded Crysis.

A good processor and a good graphics card. The processor makes the game faster and does so you can play more games that requires CPU. You should also have a good graphics card so you can play the very new games.
@Axemasta ah - I did not know that! I'll have to see what I get without FRAPS monitoring my fps, although I find a 15fps from 30fps to be a bit dramatic!
@Djcrazy32 Core i5 and AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition have the same performance, it's just the Core-i5 is more eco-friendly (95W for the i5-750 vs 125W for the PII 955BE)
@alexandercle2008 well, I recommend the HD 5850 but if you wait until Christmas time then you could get a HD 6950/6970 (the product numbers have gone up by 100)
@123twist123tie if thats really the fps you get, its either 2 things
1. Your drivers are screwed up, go to the amd website and download all the drivers and make sure everythings up to date..
2. Your hardware isnt compatible, maybe a bad PSU, a 6870 you should have atleast a 460w+
@Jean11114 you shouldn't ask me about how a game will run when it hasn't even come out yet - I don't work for any computer company or DICE. Judging by information released, it looks unlikely a 9800GT will run BF3 smoothly on max settings unless you play at 1024x768. A 9500GT has no chance. BF3 will also be a DX10/DX11 only game and the 9500GT is at the low end of the DX10 range of gamer cards, so the 9500GT will have very little chance. Get a new GTX 460 or HD 6850 at least.

@XMBJuicy 400W would be bad - could stave for power plus there won't be a 400W PSU with 2x 6-pin PCI-E connectors - molex to PCI-E convertors are not good long term either.

The area where the Core i5-750 is ahead of the Phenom II x4 955BE is the low power consumption and therefore low heat.
@Eminem1332 fine in gaming but I'm gonna replace it with a G110 - I'd say don't buy it though - my delete key sometimes gets stuck down when I'm trying to delete a letter or word, causing me to lose several words - only started happening recently.
Also, it doesn't have a scroll lock so you have to change the in-game chat settings for Xfire.
Another annoying thing are the Fuction keys but just make the F keys do what they'd do by default instead of assigning them to their special functions.
@Overlord595 not sure why - are you sure you're not setting it to 1770x1000? Try checking anything related to scaling in your graphics drivers or perhaps on you monitor (via it's buttons)

meh on HD4850 - Dx9 and High details, something like playable FPS above 20... sure, sometime it dropped.
@Jean11114 I ANSWERED YOU!!! IF you play BFBC2 in DIRECTX9 on a 9800GT you might max it out at a low resolution (but NOT on a 9500GT). IF you play BFBC2 in DIRECTX10 or DIRECTX11 on a 9800GT you WON'T play smoothly. DIRECTX version IS relevant.
@pontusjannesson ok - I just have a mate with one but I guess his is bottlenecked by his CPU and RAM then.
But I'd recommend that the settings are kept at medium - you really want 45+ fps and an average of around 50 to 60 because as you know there are a lot of dusty explosions and snow/sand drifts.
what's your video driver version please? I have the same card and monitor and all the catalyst drivers I have tried give glitches and waves when the picture is moving (eg dragging a window or in games) !!

@XMBJuicy I have all the latest drivers installed and i get 60 fps in crysis 2 and 200 fps in cod4 so i think it might just the game.
I have a 500w psu.

@franzken I think the snow one is an anomaly when it slows down like that otherwise it's CPU or memory related.
What framerate will you get? I've played the demo when I used a 19" monitor before I got the game and my 21.5" monitor as as you know the demo is not performance patched like in patch v1.1 and v1.2 - back then I was getting a framerate in the high 30's and mid 40's - so patched you should get better
@TheChoclateKing laptop version won't be as good but will still be fast. If all you want to play is The Sims you won't need a powerful GPU.

omg nice ur system settings is almost the same as mine. i got my friend to lend me his copy of crysis warhead, but it seems win 7 64 bit keeps having problems when reading discs. eg my mw2 disc is useless. setup script error( happens only to win 7 users) some guy cant read his battle field 2 disc. I tried installing crysis 1, some file missing, i tried crysis warhead, some other stupid file missing. argh i did not anticipate this when i built my PC

@littlecoce I am demonstrating the performance of the game - I AM BENCHMARKING! Have you ever used Fraps in your life before? Do you know what a benchmark is? Do you know the impact that Fraps has on the framerate of a game, especially Crysis? If you did know these things, you wouldn't have posted such a stupid comment.

Never the less, low res never looks good on any LCD since LCD's have an optimum resolution - it won't look bad but won't look as good as it would at 1920x1080

battlefield bc2 if you enjoy a more team-work oriented game instead the more arcade-ish run and gun fps like codmw2. The maps for mw2 are much worse than bc2 and to be honest I don't like how the guns feel in mw2. In bc2, the guns have a lot more pop and all are very unique. The only gripe I have with bc2 is that it seems like you have to unload a little more bullets than usual in an fps game than usual.
If you are a fan of the Cod series, I would just buy COD4MW instead.
