I love how the mighty eikons stop the fight like
Bahamut : Okay dude that was cool
Odin : Yeah yeah agree bro, see you next time
That's the same I was thinking during my gameplay. Then it hit me.
They're pretty much like a nuclear weapon. However strong they might be, you don't want to see the Eikons in action, because they would leave nothing but destruction.
@@PerthornYeah. It nice that if you follow the action and look at where Bahamut was aiming, all of Bahamut's attacks were aimed at areas of the battlefield were solider were not present. Nice little details that go a long way.
I didn't notice any of that! Wow, now I get it
Too much destruction, thats why
Adding to what other commenters have said, that these two Eikons battling each other is akin to two sides in a war having nuclear weapons....Dion is clearly out of breath and exhausted when he returns to his tent. Priming takes its toll on the Dominants' bodies. If he'd fought a full battle with Odin, they would've decimated all of their troops and probably destroyed everything else in their wake. When Titan fought Shiva, it split the landscape and killed hundreds if not thousands.
Also, Bahamut's first attack is aimed at the mountainside; I don't think any of it hits the troops. But when Odin later counters an attack, it deflects the beam and THAT'S when soldiers are killed. This shows the difference between Barnabas as a ruler and Dion as a ruler. Dion isn't there to mindlessly kill his own troops alongside the enemy--he shows up to put Barnabas in check, and leaves to prevent causing any more unnecessary casualties to his men.
Yes, it clearly how dangerous the eikons will do during battle.
Not to mention bahamut and odin being insanely powerful, esp bahamut, it probably takes even more of a toll than other eikons.
@@RavusNox-z5iTrue. Clive never seemed to cough blood after turning into Ifrit
@@tubby_1278There are actually 2 very good reasons for that in the last 4-6 hours of the game. ( They even showed hints of this in the Dion's Eikion fight.)
@@tubby_1278 Clive is the newest Dominant i guess, so he hasn't transformed as many times as the other Dominants , so he still has a lot of stamina. During Barnabas fight Clive got tired tho and couldn't maintain Ifrit form
I like that you can tell this is a display of strength rather then a fight serious fight by how Odin acts. Stands on a hill menacingly, and then slashes at the troops on the ground before staring down the enemy Eikon waiting for his move. Good showing of the show-dont-tell rule.
Exactly. I've seen people make fun of this scene from how they both stop so suddenly but that's the point. It's a show of force and not a serious exchange. If they both went all out both kingdoms could literally be destroyed in minutes. It's basically a medieval version of MAD (mutually assured destruction)
Yeah, very cool.
I'm guessing they are talking the FF Type zero approach where each nation's l'Cie are basically nukes and only fight if another l'Cie attacks because the collateral damage could turn entire cities into ash.
It's like if medieval times were armed with nukes.
@@hyperion2841Little late to replay but yeah thats exactly what they are doing. I think the devs even said in an interview before the game released that the Eikons were meant to be the equivalent of magic nukes.
Dude really stopped a fight between gods for a quick drink.
Actually he stop for a drink after he drove back odin.
Stopped because Prime form risks their sanity and life force every second
Wouldn't you?
There is so much collateral damage from Eikons engaging that it doesn't really make sense to use them as anything but a show of force and a deterrent. Without their own Eikon as a deterrent it would be completely one sided and any prolonged exchange of force between Eikons would basically mean mutually assured destruction. There would be no kingdom left to protect.
I think he is British. He needs the sip of afternoon tea before heading back to battle.
The fight might be short. But the point was to increase army morale, while making sure both Eikons doesn't prolong the fight.
If one leaves, the other do too. Since fighting in full Eikon form risks your life.
Yes. Show don’t tell.
If 1 eikon falls it's basically gg
Basically Odin shows up, gets countered by Bahamut, reestablishes balance in the battle.
Wasn't even a fight. And if they fought Odin would have won he is just overpowered as seen later in the game
@@_ThePizzaGuy_not really, Ifrit needed the help of Phoenix to even take down Bahamut. Clive defeated Odin in his regular form lol.
This game took the crown away from ff7 remake being my favorite FF game. Just pure epic and adrenaline inducing fights with a heartfelt and beautiful storyline to wrap it all together. The bahamut bass Battle is easily top 5 boss battles in gaming history. They truly delivered on this game and it’s my GOTY.
ff7 remake despite being just small part of original much superior then FF16, ff16 is worse then ff15. It is quite obvious that half of the budget went to marketing. The game is clearly not enough money. There are four major cities in the game, not one of them is a full-fledged location, three of them are just a tunnel before the boss fight, and Oriflam is not even a tunnel. We didn't even visit the Iron Kingdom. Leviathan water aikon is mentioned in the lore, how was it shown? Not like, they just said that he was lost. Left for DLC probably. Many storylines are either not closed completely or closed in the most moronic way. The main characters are very bad. It is absolutely not interesting to see the interactions between Clive, Joshua and Jill.
LOL you're so wrong on many levels 😂😂
@@ПатрикКейн-к6дyeah i mean almost every take you just gave reeks of steaming dogshit
At 720p and 40 fps 😂😂😂
@@ПатрикКейн-к6дit's completely wrong the ff 15 and the 16 sound much better than that of the 7 remake.
The cutscenes in this game are something else.
Btw Dion truly deserves a DLC, what a character!
FACTS
That Bahamut tarnsformation was so attack on titan lol and I love it
Graphics, cinematography and soundtrack are outstanding
Sure 😂😂😂
GOTY material right here, if I’m honest even while I have been waiting for Armored Core this definitely deserves the price, the music, the characters, it was just an amazing experience and it inspired me even to look into the other games as well, I’m a new FF fan haha
They did so good on this entry. Ive been around from the start and this game had me floored from start to finish. Amazing work everyone, you really did it.
u dont really have to play the game to enjoy the game because seriously the animation even during gameplay is so damm good it already look like a movie..
That's what I keep thinking as I play it, it really feels like I'm watching a movie half the time
I agree. Although this specific scene is pre rendered mixed with in game engine (you can tell by the cgi effects and the grass)
Even the real time cutscenes look so beautiful
I just love the grand scale of these battles!
Love how the soundtrack here uses both Bahamut and Odin's theme in one
"The prince is with us" proceeded to blasting everything insight
He’s hotheaded
"Oh no, the prince is with us"
The prince is with us. Run for your life!
this is so daemon targaryen coded
Better then having Odin zentetsuken all of your brothers in arms.
So I’m guessing Bahamut and Odin are the most powerful eikons, hence why they are fighting at a standstill here and their kingdoms are the most powerful in the land.
Yeah bahamut has zetaflare which can destroy the whole planet
Need Leviathan to join in. I think Leviathan would win..drown the land with ocean waters and the war would simply be over
Bahamut and Odin are the most powerful Eikons in FFXVI. Bahamut is a flying nuke while Odin can cut pretty much anything (Barnabas is the strongest swordsman in Valisthea). Ifrit had to work with Phoenix to defeat Bahamut while Odin (Barnabas) went easy on Clive to prepare him as Ultima's vessel. It is unknown how Dion would fare against Clive in a human-to-human duel.
Wardens of Light and Darkness...
Dion really a side character that extrude main character aura
This game is a solid 10, I don’t give a shit about what other people said
you and me brother
me too brother. 10/10
Those who says anything bad about the game are not Playstation users, they are failures like shitboxers
I'm loving the game too and I'm not afraid to say it's become one of my favorites and that's coming from a long time FF player.
That being said, I wish there was a bit more RPG elements like meaningful leveling or equipment systems and a bit more party management even if they aren't controllable.
8 or 9 out of 10 for me. But for sure a 10/10 for cinematics and story imo
Best game
This game is so dramatic and badass ❤
Only this scene
Finally a game that outright agrees, collateral damage means acceptable losses.
For every citizen to fall another can be bred
@dogukantek5890 still takes like 20 years, 16 if you're desperate for them to be of any good though
Sucks for the soldiers but it definitely was obvious it’s collateral
FF Type Zero did it too. The summoners are basically suicide squads because it requires a sacrifice to bring an Eidolon to the battlefield. l'Cie too since they are basically living nukes and when two of them Fight no one is safe, not even their own allies
@@goofygoober5270 well I agree I just quoted his radiance, empire of sanbreque 😅
Now this screams final fucking fantasy
I just saw this scene in the game, and man this gave my heart goosebumps
Having finished the game. Yea they both were holding back big time
i may be a year late to this comment but i agree if odin had used zantetsuken he'd cut everything into pieces lol
and Bahamut if using the giga flare or ultima flare would absolutely annihilate the whole field into a massive crater xD
i want this theme sooooooooooo much, that violin was so good
Haven't heard a violin that prominent since il vento d'oro. Most standout moment for me here, absolutely captivating performance
@@762x69 IKR, ITS SOOOOOOO GOOOD
@@CultivatorCaier painful more people aren't talking about it. Looking forward to finding it on the OST. I'll be repeating it like a crazy person. Love it!
So the violin bit at 1:10 sounded so familiar, and I thought it was a callback to a previous Final Fantasy game (from memory, I thought it was the Four Fiends from IV, but that's far off), but no, it's actually incredibly similar to Rookie & Popple from Mario and Luigi, which served as the inspiration for Bonetrousle from Undertale. Doesn't take away from how hard it hits, not just here but for the entire score. Big ups to Soken, and the entire XVI dev team. I always show this fight to anyone who'll listen.
My Eikon and Dominants Ranking:
1. Odin (Can cut basically anything) -> Barnabas beats Clive many times and went easy on him to test Clive to be Ultima's Vessel. Bahamut had difficulty fighting Odin.
2. Bahamut (Flying Nuclear Missile Launcher) -> Ifrit had to work with Phoenix to defeat Bahamut.
3. Phoenix (Hard to kill and has powerful long-range fire attacks) -> Joshua defeated Ifrit on his first try.
4. Ifrit (Strong fire-based attacks and can fight close-up battles). -> Clive defeated every Eikon and was lucky when defeating Phoenix, Bahamut, and Odin.
5. Titan (Create Earthquakes and control the Earth). -> Relies purely on strength and abilities.
6. Garuda (Can create strong wind-based attacks) -> Relies on long-range wind attacks.
7. Ramuh (Strong Lightning attacks) -> Can one shoot anyone unless they lose their defense.
8. Shiva (Ice attacks) -> Can defeat humans easily but not other Dominants. She couldn't best Liquid Flame and was one shot by Barnabas.
Leviathan is unknown as we never saw the Eikon or its Dominant fight.
Only one I disagree with is Ifrit and Phoenix. How did Joshua beat Ifrit? Sure, it ended with both parties unconscious, but the final attack came from Ifrit punching through phoenix’s heart.
@@NoLifeKing_0 Phoenix idiotically landed next to Ifrit until the latter surprise attacked the dumbfounded young Joshua.
lol Phoenix is the weakest of them all.
My eikons ranking is something like this:
1. Definitive Ifrit (has everything, defense, attack, speed, etc.) -> Basically the strongest is the power of ifrit and phoenix together and he managed to defeat bahamut empowered with the mother crystal.
2.Odin (it is said that he can cut everything even the threads of creation) -> basically he is the most skilled and one of the most experienced dominants that we see, he defeated clive 2 times, he managed to conquer his kingdom himself, he was in an even confrontation with bahamut although he later says that since he conquered his kingdom no one had given him a challenge so I guess he could finish off bahamut.
3.bahamut (a flying nuclear)-> he was able to beat ifrit and phoenix separately although he was empowered by the mother crystal, he was also able to have a small fight with odin.
4.ramuth (looks more like odin than odin himself) ->Basically he dodged without problems teleporting to ifrit and then one shot him without difficulty, unfortunately we never see him fight enough because cid was already succumbing to the curse, but in his prime he was surely at the level of odin and bahamut
5.titan (the biggest of all) -> he could have been victorious or in a tie with shiva (it is not very clear) he is quite agile and fast for his size, physically he is surely the strongest of all, he is extremely resistant and in his "titan lost" form he was even stronger.
6.Shiva (the ice queen)->although after her fight with the titan we don't see much up to it, she is definitely very strong, although later we see her very limited by elements or by the curse.
7.Garuda (a walking hurricane)-> Had a lot of destructive power but couldn't really do much against ifrit.
8.Fenix (The first one we see)->for me it was more of a support than a fighter like the rest, basically I didn't win any fight in which I participated directly although I still feel that it can be interchangeable with garuda.
Leviathan would be missing but surely we will see it in a dlc.
“Joshua defeated ifrit on his first try”
You might wanna watch the cutscene after that fight my friend…
It is mind-blowing how a PS5 is capable to render this in real-time.
Sorry to burst your bubble but that scene was one of the few that were pre-rendered ;)
This is the best CGI I ever seen in a videogame
0:01 when step outside of a classroom for 5 seconds……..
😂😂 lol
yay... the prince is with us!!! Fires energy ball that misses Odin and hits the floor where all the people are.... hahahah!!!!!!
yeah, im the thinking the same, like whatttt
yea i think thats why they left right after cause the fight between the two of them would just take out their armies.
It's a show of force, it's like each side showing each other theirs Nukes while watching soldiers kill each others.
You can tell me shit about this game but this is freaking epic as hell bros.. Odin even hitting us with the beat switch yo.. what the hell..
And people who are loving this game who are in the majority are too busy playing and enjoying the game unlike those losers
this video here convinced me to dive into the FF universe (well this and Sephiroth ofc), I'm starting from the very beginning and currently am on FFII. it's going to be epic when I finally reach XVI and Rebirth.
This world concept is sooo good finally the summons are so important they are literally nukes so every nation want s dominus.
Its a bit like Naturkos world where every nation wanted a kjuubi
if I'm the foot soldier in the frontline and saw any of the Eikons appeared I'll just pretend I'm already dead
the fact that an extremely tired Bahamut after losing control kicked the individual asses of both Ifrit and Phoenix but Odin was able to fight a "fresh" Bahamut to a standstill shows Odin is a level above other Eikons just like Bahamut
This is the most epic Bahamut I've ever seen holy shit.
I love the concept of kingdoms having Eikons as superweapons
I loved that game so much in the beginning. Near the half way point it started to feel like they're had no idea what they were doing
how the hell the troops survive all this catastrophic monster fight?
They don't.
The foot soldiers are just there for cosmetic purposes.
they stopped fighting because they noticed they were damaging their own troops. Thats why the went back to their camps after their quick fight.
They all has been sacrificed
Ever heard of a ‘meat wall’ son?
dayum the lighting is perfect
Daaaaamn the soundtrack😮
It’s Bahamut!!! The prince is with us!!! 1:01
*said by soldier moments before getting sent to Valhalla by Bahamut*
"Prince is with us"
Prince: *Danger close blue napalm while blasting Paranoid through headphones*
How many people died for the two of them to have a quick sparing ? One is basically a nuke spitting dragon and the other spams zantetsuga tensho like he's ichigo
Funny how hindsight works. During my first playthrough I remember thinking "What? That's it?" when Dion goes back to his tent for a quick sip. Looking back at it now, and I realize that they didn't wanna cause too much unnecessary damage in the battle. Dion is a flying Tsar Bomba while Barnabas has the deadliest kitchen knife ever.
@1:20 Odin vs Bahamut casually happening in the background whilst Soken’s doing whatever the fuck he wants and making Undertale references (Bonetrousle)
That’s what it sounds like! I e been trying to find the song name for ages
Dion, Auron, Beatrix and Kain badas***s. Forever ❤
I don't think Beatrix FF9 counts as a Dragoon, but Freya definitely is (they're both badasses, don't get me wrong!!)
Whats the point of taking the spear just to transform into Bahamut?
guessing the spear is a catalyst for transformation?
Wtf is that how ? I played others ff games aeons are beast that exist not that u can transform this is bs bad story
Plan B, of course
@@drh.i.v4155Aeons/Eidolons/Eikos exist in this FF aswell. It’s just that their summoning method involves the body of summoner
Is coll!
This scene feels so drakengard 1 ish that I love it. Idk what it is but the setting, imposing huge figures and soldiers on a battlefield just screams it to me
When bearers are treated badly, but being a common soldier isnt that much better
They had a bathroom break at 1:40
I wish we would get a barnabas dlc or cid dlc i wouldnt mind dion either
does anyone know the name of the music when the two of the clash?
They both are basically just pulling some tremendous amount of morale boosts so that their armies don't think they're on the losing side
Soldier: the prince is with us!
CHEERS!...
Soldier: oh wait... RUN!...
Wonder what that Royalist would have said if Garuda showed up instead of Odin.
She got killed hours before this
@@lordzuko I know, that’s why it was a what if question.
I doubt Benedikta would ever be deployed under these circumstances, even if she was still alive. As leader of the Intelligencers, she was more about spying and special ops than leading armies from the front.
I'd imagine having any Eikon on your side would be a morale boost, but Odin would always be the most significant one for the Royalists.
1:20 What's the name of this song?
Ascension
@@bahamutShin thank you
Dion is such a Chad.
They both are tbh
Hes a G indeed.
GAY!
Bro missed every single attack and then almost got sliced in half
Do we ever see Dion fight himself? All I've seen in cutscenes and gameplay are Bahamut.
He does later
Never played ff til 16 after playing tears and this I’m a full on ff fan now ❤
You definitely have to play ff7 remake if you liked 16. It’s a legendary game
Ff7 original is better to play next
And ff6
@@shrekonion7032 they might not enjoy the turn base features
@@hillroadbrand yes but ff7 has a completed story and the remake does not
holy shit the designs in this game
1 flaw : there shouldn't be any hoof step sounds when the horse is galloping in the air
Does he need that spear to summon Bahamut? If anyone even has that info could u pls tell me.
No he doesn’t need the spear it’s just that if he has it in his hand before he transforms he will have it after he transforms so it’s just better if he has it when he transforms back coz he went quite a way to get back to his camp
Sucks dion doesnt have semi-prime wonder if fanart of it exists.
I can't stop thinking how strategically ineffective the mages on that battlefield are. We should be seeing Bio and group attack spells
The only criticism I have about this game is how bad the side quests / errands are. Beyond that, it’s just an incredible game.
Some of them are really good, which makes it even worse because the game forces me to do nine fetch quests so I can find one great one.
@@NoLifeKing_0 Um...Have you seen my Chloe?
I feel like the only "bad" ones are the ones in the first part of the game (before Drake's Head).
After that almost all of them are really good, sure some are boring but still well-written.
One cut in the bahamut and K.O
God this game is so fucking cool
The prince is with us! Gets vaporized by said prince
Odin is with us!
You are welcome
Friendly fire turnes on
I want this Ost badly
Has anyone been able to find the song for this master piece !!!!
Holy shit this music is on another level
🤣 The comments asking why they just fought a short while and fked off. Ever heard of nuclear deterrence or is it standard to just nuke both armies?
Dion had the good Life 5 Year's before the Downfall. Fighting a little with Odin, killing a lot of hiw own Peoble with a Attack and take a cold trink after that.
This track goes so hard, wish it was used more
They both had the flex those Eikon muscles real quick then they let their respective armies continue to tear each other apart 💀
I'm just now realizing that it didn't make any sense for Dion to take his spear with him to turn into Bahamut. Where did he put the spear? Up Bahamut's butt? 😮
Well, I mean... 😅
If Total War has a Final Fantasy theme.
Nothing has ever captivated my imagination and emotions like FFX. I remake is overdue
After finishing this masterpiece i think Dion would've killed Barnabas.
I mean, Bahamut has always been more powerful then Odin. But do we actually ever see Barnabas fighting to kill? This fight was a show of strength and to keep up training with their Eikons. A little challenge, or a game perhaps. And obviously Barnabas didn’t want to kill Clive, so he would’ve let off a bit, despite how into their fight he was.
It did however take Ifrit Risen to even match Bahamut, whereas Odin was defeated by regular Clive.
@@NoLifeKing_0 yes but they hyped Barnabas so much and we ended killing him by Clive’s regular form.
@@worlds_greatest_detective6667 to be fair he was fighting in his regular form most of that fight too.
Ok hype as fuck but umm part four soon please?
Tengah sedap² lawan sekali abis stim ketum . Bahamut kata ," lepak jap , nak minum ketum , lepas minum ketum sambung fight balik . odin " okay , aku pun nak balik rumah sat minum seteguk "
Joder con los violines temazooooo
Knight of the round.
This game is wasted potential. They should have developed these characters more. GOT which they were supposed to get inspiration from gave a lot of time to different factions, but here we just focus on Clive who is a boring MC. This scene is the best of the game for me, rather than the dragons shooting kamehameha in space.
Light VS Darkness
I end this game today and it's very good
Does anyone know what the music's called
Fuck I wish I had a ps5
All of the OST fucking SLAPS MAN
the horse is a mountain size
Hey, you wanna continue this fight later?
Yeah, sure.
Name of the ost?

@@CultivatorCaier Won't be out until mid july
@@_ThePizzaGuy_ damn ;/, at least we have a semi-date
Been looking in every video with this scene to find out the name o the OST :(
Anyone know where I can find these soundtracks used here?
It's a remixed version of Dion/Bahamut's theme, if you look for "Bahamut vs Odin Theme" you should find it.
In my sony a80j this looks insane 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Jaime lanister transform into bahamut
More like Renley Baratheon 😅
Horse Vergil vs Gay Dragon
So...two demigods roll up, kill more of their men than anything else, trade a few shots and then both just fuck off?
If I was odin I would have fucking *massacred* the enemy army while the prince was off getting a drink.
Or is there a time limit you have for the transformation?
It takes a heavy toll on your body. But also, I think they were just asserting their dominance, and well, I guess not trying their own men as much as they already did just then🤣
He called the king (Odin) desperate because using their prime form risks life and sanity, plus they have a whole war to fight and don’t wanna lose their entire armies so he just countered Odin’s ULT and dipped.
if Odin stayed, Bahamut would've stayed too - that would be too damaging for the troops and also for the Dominants themselves. Odin tried to do something, but Dion just appeared there to neutralize it
Magic users(bearers, who wield magic naturally, and the Dominants that wield the Eikons) suffer from using it too much. Their bodies begin to crystalize if they overuse their magic. Bearers are generally treated as slaves(or an untouchable/unclean caste), unlike the Dominants who wield this godlike power.
It’s a strategic battle between two evenly matched groups. Bahamut showed up to counter Odin, any more involvement would kill too many people on both sides.
The Lannisters has bahamut
