This FXVI game of Square Enix will be the equivalent of Resident Evil 7 for Capcom; revolutionary, and a total risk, but if it works it will elevate the company 😌
Shiva’s entrance reminds me of her entrance in FFVIII but with better graphics and gravitas. Also I’m loving how these big summons actually show the effect on the puny humans.
@@titan133760Fr at the end after you defeat Liquid Flame boss in Ironholm before she de-primes she floats a few seconds and shes enormous compared to Clive. And its not just her mantle she's actually tall
Man FF9 had some crazy cinematics as well. That Odin cinematic where he nukes a village from the sky is still one of my all time favorite cinematics ever.
I don't know how many times I've watched this scene across different content creators to see their reactions and I still haven't gotten tired of this cinematic.
Idk, it's very generic. The big stony guy is stomping small anime guys. And hits the ice lady with a fist. We saw it a million times, and you could say it happened even inside the universe. Lame.
I played the demo and this is the first final fantasy game that connected so well with me The majestic greater than life cinematic presentation, the combat, hopefully the story as well I never enjoyed any other final fantasy game but was always hoping that such an instalment would come along
Playing through the game myself rn and I noticed how much bigger and powerful titan feels in this cutscene compared to when you fight him. I realise its because here he is animated so slowly as to show his size and weight. Every movement drags and feels heavy, punches take forever to wind up and release. Comparatively he moves like a normal human when you fight him, and because clive is in his ifrit form which is pretty big, it makes titan seem a lot smaller.
Jill-Shiva is best looking Shiva so far. Beautiful and majestic. They really made summons definitive versions since they have more important part in story than previous games.
I really like how Shiva/Jill at least sat behind her ice shards while charging towards Titan/Hugo at 1:54. It would have completely ruined the scene if she did that the other way around.
It's about time we see how destructive the Final Fantasy summons are and how they are in fact the superweapons of their setting, I think only FF4 and FFX showed us a hint.
Shiva’s attacks here are much more impressive than her diamond dust. But I guess it’s understandable cause she was weakened when fighting liquid flame.
I'm 7 hours into the game and I can say it's good! Amazing battles with epic soundtrack and... there is blood, there is blood in a final fantasy game... 😮
It's sad that Shiva is more of a passing thought in FFXVI. :( Yeah, she's pretty here (and in some other clips), but then she's just gone... for like 90% of the game. Meanwhile, every other Eikon gets a chance to duke it out in epic battles and grand displays of power.
To be fair, Ramuh did not get to fight all that much either, his fights with Eikons are really short, it’s just him zapping someone with lightning then disappearing.
Pretty sure that's gonna be a central theme of the plot as far as Eikons go. IIRC Yoshi-P compared them to nuclear weapons. There is almost no situation where these guys could be deployed and _not_ cause collateral damage. That said, it's probably a net gain overall if an Eikon can end the battle. Letting normal, mortal warfare play out would likely result in more casualties overall than summoning an Eikon to land a decisive blow (this reasoning is often used to justify Hiroshima and Nagasaki IRL). Emperor Sylvester of Sanbreque delivers a monologue in one of the trailers about how people and homes can be replaced and the empire will live on, for example.
@@valkyrion_ex1173 the key difference between deploying the nukes for the first time and the usage of the summons here (apart from overall circumstance) is that we weren't stupid enough to use them with our own troops are in the darn area. They were also used on key military targets not the open battlefield. So overall their usage of the summons here is rather dumb because the troops don't have a way or even a chance to pull out before a kaiju battle commences.

Can you re-upload with the Attack on Titan instead?
That shot of Titan rising with the music kicking is *insane.*
Combined with Shiva's majestic entrance, this whole scene is just beautiful.
Just finished the demo and I can say... It was a exeperience unlike other final fantasy titles. The story line is a lot more darker and mature.
This FXVI game of Square Enix will be the equivalent of Resident Evil 7 for Capcom; revolutionary, and a total risk, but if it works it will elevate the company 😌
It is because it is darker and more mature, they already mentioned it last year.
its made by the same guys who did Shadowbringers and Endwalker, so no surprises it was dark.
