Nirvana donated their time to raise money to hire a private detective to solve the murder of Mia Zapata.
This video was given to me after the concert from the person who shot the video. Original 8mm tape was given to MTV for a news segment.
I posted a new video as a thank you to all the Nirvana fans! A Heart Shaped Boxtruck I hope you all like it 🎅
A massive thank you from the Nirvana community!

I can’t contain or put my excitement into words!! This is a holy grail show and I can’t believe I’m actually about to watch it 🤯 thank you!!
It’s weird how Kurt loved his jaguar but never used it again after this show
@@alfgamer3615He wasn’t alive too much longer after this. He probably would’ve used it again sooner or later.
Ey man! Fancy meeting you over here! I was saying the same thing haha 😆
Noticed the tape is removed from Jaguar wonder if Earnie fixed the circuitry
@@BrandonR93 perhaps..or idk..but this was the last time kurt used the jaguar.

Where is I hate myself and want to die?
So awesome to see footage of Nirvana that has never been seen before even after all this time. Thanks, Santa Slowdog. Rest in Peace, Mia Zapata
Damn, they’re so tight! Dave is a metronome, Krist’s tone is filthy and Kurt is fully engaged. Legendary performance.
Kirst and Dave played on the equipment of TAD because there wasn't much time in between their sets
Thank you so much for uploading this, I was at this show and will never forget it. I was 8 years old and I had just moved to Seattle from Boise to come live with my dad who is good friends and ex-band mates with TAD - they had a few bands together in Boise, ID before TAD moved to Seattle. We got on the list and I got to meet Nirvana and Dave Grohl who gave me some drumsticks because I told him he's the reason I started playing. 20 years later, I would meet Dave again and told him I was that kid and it blew him away.
🤘 that's awesome
Dave Grohl didn't give you drumsticks lol
@@tiredcitizenz1925 he sure did, I told him I started playing because I loved Come As You Are so much and he gave me a pair and said "Well practice with these!".
All true! I was the drumstick...
Great story. Fuck the haters
Dude was filming so close that it almost seems like you hear Kurt’s voice coming through unamplified as he’s screaming the last verse of “Milk It”. Incredible. Thank you so much for uploading and sharing!
Every time something new resurfaces I can't help the feeling that he is playing there right now and we are watching this live. Strange. Thank you so much.
Me too
This used to be a holy grail for the hardcore Nirvana fans, and now it's here all of the sudden! Thank you so much Santa, I read your comment on the other vid that you would be releasing this and I thought 'no way we get this so randomly' 😅 Normally this stuff gets hoarded or people demand huge amounts of money for this but you just uploaded it without asking anything in return. Thanks again Santa and enjoy your day😊
I'm out of the loop. What makes this show a holy grail? Thank
@@ejsrocketit was the last show kurt played with his fender jaguar, not to mention you can only find clips of the audio, nothing of the full show, this entire show was a mystery to everyone other than the people that were there and that has now changed
@@johnmostlikelyThis is just awesome 👍🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼😎
also nirvanas last show as a three-piece. alternative setlist. one off show.
And you know this guy traded this around like crazy back in the day lol, it's where it belongs now though thank god
On behalf of all Nirvana fans, I would like to say thank you for sharing this footage!
Omg it’s the person who made the greatest song in the world
Thank you! Sharing on our pages and having discussion on our forums right now
You know it’s rare when nirvana Live comments 🔥
You have no idea how happy I am that livenirvana is still going strong!
Saben qué equipo está usando Kurt? Gracias
Huge thank you for this, a very sought after show for the Nirvana community.
Also brings my thoughts back to the fact that the awful murder of Mia Zapata was finally solved all these years later.
Much appreciation all around Santa Slowdog.
And they made a forensic files episode about it!
It was with considerable thought regarding Mia's family that I debated whether releasing this now would upset them. In the end I hoped of anything it would remind them of the people that did care about her.
@@santaslowdog I agree, for us locals it still means a lot. xox from Oly
I'm in agreement that hopefully it would remind family and friends of how much she was cared for. @@santaslowdog
@gavinweyant5777 There was also an Unsolved Mysteries episode about Mia's story. So sad!🥺
Thank you so very very much. I've been waiting years to see this. RIP Mia Zapata and Kurt Cobain you are terribly missed.
One of the best aneurysm live tones for sure and the last time the jaguar was played live!!
You are a hero. I have been waiting decades to hear this. New Nirvana brings me so much joy. It really means a lot that you freely shared this! Thanks again!
See this is all I need. The Nirvana estate need to step up their game and release more live material!
I don't want to step on any toes but it felt like the right time to let it out. We shall see how long it takes to be banned.
@@santaslowdogI don't think it's getting banned. There's a ton on Nirvana concerts here on UA-cam,.aren't they?
@@santaslowdog What bands/artists do you like aside from Nirvana? Anything you collect amateur media of? In case anyone has something to reciprocate for this gfit. Thanks again!
@@AltCopperpot5Very generous offer Copper! Hope he gets something good ❤
@@santaslowdogwould love if you had any more from the big bands back then like Alice in Chains, Tool etc
Amazing ! Stripped down and raw. Band sounds so good here as opposed to a large venue with all the BS lighting
and complicated monitor mixes etc etc. Amps, drums and vocals loud and simply proud. This was their element.....
In my opinion there's something so special about fan-recorded concerts over pro-shot ones, thank you for uploading this!! :D
For sure this was not just a fan. Just the setup of the gear needed to record the audio right in front.. I'm used to to setup audio so this was no first try whatsoever
I first read about this gig 1997, Cristopherd Sandford book mentions Kurt having fun at this gig and it was their last as trio. Before yesterday there were under minute available and now we can enjoy way more this mythical gig. Thank you and people behind this recording.
people like you who upload this type of stuff deserve to win the lottery. such an amazing experience to finally be able to witness this performance. thank you so much.
As a bass player myself I absolutely love that you can hear Krists bass so loud and crisp like! I can't believe this is finally released! 🤘🏼🤘🏼😎😀😃
You can tell that Gibson RD he had was GROWLY. I Love it, always wanted his signature bass.
@@e1028Oh yeah man for sure. Definitely a gnarly bass tone!
Sounds like he’s using a rusty nail for a pick. Super scratchy.
especially in milk it, sheeesh
@@natepencils4355 yeah he really does
Seeing Nirvana live in Seattle in the early 90's is like watching the Beatles in Liverpool in the 60's or the Ramones in NYC in the 70's, LEGENDARY!!

beautiful footage of one of the most sought after concerts in nirvana history, thank you so much
We just need roxy show (which is the best nirvana concert ever according to promoters, Kurts guitar tech & attendees, & magazine ppl that attended the gig to write about the band.) guess some kids who showed up were also in the teen spirit video afterward & also said it was the best show ever. we also need Barney suit show.

Just when you think you have seen it all...this is incredible. This is my favorite era, it's not the beginning, not the end, but a perfect blend. Thanks for uploading this amazing footage 🙏
0:08 I've never heard Nirvana play "No Quarter" before ❤️
Thank you, Santa! You brought Xmas early. RIP, Mia. You are not forgotten in Portland, OR.
I say this all the time about Nirvana but on this particular performance, it's amazing how all this sound comes out of just 3 people!! Dave is an extraordinary drummer, simple but with a very powerful sound!!
Dave was such a technical drummer. He focused on the basics and never missed.
Rush
Funnily enough, this was actually their last show as a trio!!
Dave’s precise playing combined with his phrasing, musicality, and attention to the song form demonstrate what a natural drummer and musician he is. And, he has a ridiculous groove happening.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ve been waiting 30 years for this to come out. Me and my friend were with Kurt and Dave for most of the show. Brings back great memories. Thanks again

Man…so psyched to stumble upon this tonight. Wow. This is gold! Amazing footage. Looks like they’re playing at a high school auditorium haha! So cool to see Kurt using his Jaguar that late in the game. I saw them twice a few months later and he was using the Jag-stangs. He looks like he’s having a lot of fun too. Awesome document right here. Big thanks for sharing! This made my weekend!
That was the last time he used the jaguar
Great footage! Thank you for letting the world get a brief moment to see Kurt again! THANK YOU! I appreciate it! I was 10yrs old when I started jamming Nirvana, right before Kurt's passings that year. That music is timeless! Timeless!
Incredible new footage here, thank you so much for uploading. Sounds killer. Interesting to see Kurt using his Jag in mid 93', not to mention using a Fender amp rig instead of his Mesa studio pre.

He & Mia were friends. Her band The Gits often played the same stages as Nirvana. Her death affected him & he wanted to do all her could (along with the rest of Seattle's music community) to get justice for her. I believe this was one of his last live performances.
