I went nine months without getting a dime out of a scumbag who played the "legal" poor, poor renter game and when she finally was put out, she left the house a disgusting mess that I had to spend three thousand dollars to clean out. This is all legally done because the liberal courts care more about the people like this woman on SECTION 8 than they do about the legal, taxpaying landlords. I am SO glad I finally got out of that situation. NOT worth it.

@piper512 right I got an eviction letter when I was living in Low income for having a visitor pull up and had a dog in the car in the parking lot. Dog never got out the car. I have ring cameras so I gladly showed them the footage and was about to sue. They quickly sent an letter out informing me of the "Miscommunication". Yea for $640 I'm paying with so many rules I would of been glad to leave but I didn't want an eviction on my record.

It’s like that here in Greensboro NC. Instead it isn’t Section 8, it’s subsidized housing in which almost everyone living in subsidized housing has 2020+ car, new clothes, cookouts with expensive meats every weekend, and weed. These people aren’t trying to work!

As a landlord....never allow a tenant to become anymore than 1 week behind. Charge late fees and never waive them unless its a tenant that has been there for over a year and never was late. Doing so will invite destruction to your house and your pocketbook. They will never catch up. Dont listen to anything they say....promises....nothing. they are buying time
I do evictions for a law firm. Surprise eviction? Does not exist. They just ignored all notices. By the time it comes to the actual eviction, they have been personally served twice. Spend a little of the energy used to run your mouth towards packing. You played the game and lost. End of story.

When my daughters were very young (1 & 2 years old), their dad and I separated and I had to move into public housing for a bit until I got my finances more stable. We lived there for almost 2 years before getting our own "real" house. As the adult, I viewed moving out of "the projects" as a moment of pride. I'd utilized the resources I needed until I got on my feet, so to speak...and it was one of my proudest moments as a mom to get the keys to a place for myself and my kids.
But when I broke the news to my girls, my oldest was devastated. She was almost 5 and had lived in that house since she was a toddler. We all lived and laughed and made memories and grew in that house. I worked hard to make it feel like home to them and I did. But moving out was incredibly difficult for her. She cried for days, she begged and pleaded with me to please just stay in "our house." Even now, she's pushing 8 years old and we haven't lived in that house in 3 years and she STILL gets sad when we drive past the place. She still speaks so fondly of "our old house." Like yeah, she's much happier where we are now. We have a huge backyard and a pool and trees to climb and paths to walk or ride bikes. But kids feel a strong connection to the place they call home. Having a stable home is one of the most important parts of making a child feel secure and safe.
I fully disagree with the other commenter who thinks this is "nothing some McDonald's can't fix"....this child will not forget this experience. It's so incredibly sad.
Too many comments on this video completely lack empathy and compassion. We shouldn't be laughing at or celebrating something so painful and damaging to those poor children. Idc if their mom was a month behind on rent (or a year tbh), I'm never gonna celebrate children bearing the weight of the consequences for their parents' actions.

I’ve never been evicted but I have been told less than a month before my lease ended that I had to move because the owner was selling the house… I couldn’t renew my lease online and no emails were replied to, calls went unanswered as well. I was all alone with 4 children. I’m praying for everyone encountering this issue. That’s why I made the choice to buy. I feel so bad for the babies.

A lease is good until it ends. Sometimes you don’t know until either 30 or 60 days ahead time that it won’t be renewed. If you have a 1 year lease, you need not assume that you will be able to spend more than a year in the house.

I saw mold on the ceilings in the corner and running along what is probably the ceiling joists. There’s definitely a leak in the roof or possibly the condenser catch pan if it’s in the attic. Mold will grow quickly in that hot attic, get into the insulation and then it’s a big job, not just something anyone can clean. If he wants to sell the house, he’d have to remove all the tenants and belongings and they’ll need to demo all the plaster that’s affected, rip out the insulation, seal the house and treat it. She doesn’t realize it but if the mold is as bad as it looked on the ceiling of that back room, her kids shouldn’t be in that house.
As a former employee of section 8 once you get to the point where they don't want your money they just want you out of their property and that is legal!!!

More than likely reported the mold like she’s saying, because I’m going through a similar situation where I was current on my rent, (which the rent ledger provided it), but management refused to do repairs, pertaining to us not having heat, hot water or other repairs during the winter, so I reported them, and they never informed us about the infestation of scorpions on the property, until after we signed the lease agreement. We won the evictions cases and now she’s trying to see we’re being in utilities when we pay the utility companies directly, which the district judge stated that it was illegal for them to charge us utilities and we’re paying the companies. Which the previous case is sealed and closed and can’t be brought up again.. so now I’m suing the landlord for retaliation, harassment, racial discrimination
