I think the Roush Axle back or the Borla Cat back are the 2 best exhaust setups for the V6 or the Ecoboost. Straight pipes only work for V8s in my opinion.
On the recommendation of a Ford mechanic--the dealer's Mustang guy--I put on a Touring Borla cat-back. I wish it was a little louder. I put the Borla Stinger cat-back on my Silverado 5.3. I wish maybe I went a little quieter.

Look man, I’m not knocking what you do, but me being in a performance shop and having a solid ground of high horsepower cars coming from it where everyone agrees, straight pipe is nothing but pipe from the exhaust manifold back with tips, makes me have to disagree.

Only thing I dislike about faster fords is the Low revving. My Lincoln picks up speed quick but both it and my fusion have such a short 1st and 2nd but a massively long 3rd it makes it hard to get up and go from a dead stop
I used to have a 6.1 hemi 8 cylinder Challenger srt8. When I tell you the 3.7 mustang is good it’s fucking good perfect balance of fun and power you can build so much on it and they big motors with great trannys like come on y’all 8 cylinder heads just waste gas and have a little more hp stock😂

Keeping the resonator sounds much better. Has a better bellowing sound, isn't too much crackling, and you can drive it as a daily driver. Note, I’m not a V6 hater. I would say the same thing to someone with the V8.

Let us know when that divorced setup goes shorty headers, the shorties almost give the engine a bit of a snarl to the sound compared to the stock manifolds.
They both sound weird 5/10 on both but if they get bbk shorty or long tube with stock cats or after market cats with and off rev limiter or with gt500 mufflers added then we talking
If I'm not mistaken, I believe straight pipe is referring to deleting the cats, resonator, and muffler all as one, and muffler delete is referring to the removal of the muffler only. If I'm getting something wrong or mixed up, feel free to let me know. :)

@@mkviis Oof sorry, but I had a V6 and a V8 and the rasp of a V6 just ain’t it man. I went from a stock exhaust, to headers and y-pipe on my V6 and it sounded good, but the classic American V8 has a much better sound.

Idk, when i had my v6 i had shorties and an h pipe. After that your choice on the muffler, you need to get rid of the rasp on these.

Mustangs are different. You can get those exact mods on any other V6 and the Mustang brings out the most punch.
The grey one sounds way better, where the red one sounds like a lawn mower.
A V6 always needs a resonator, or two, or three to sound good. They will rasp to no end without em, especially Ford ones.
