My rabbit's story:
One day I was knocking door to door for a school project , then we went to one house and in the bushes a little rabbit's head stuck out it took a few minutes but I finally caught it . The rabbit was in horrible shape it had patches of fur and matter fur ,the next day I went up to the house and asked the homeowner if it was his rabbit he said yes it was and that it was alone so it escaped but he never tried to catch it and only fed it carrots so then I asked him if I could keep it and he said yes at first I did not know anything about rabbit rabbits and I fed it carrots but then I came across Lennon the bunny on UA-cam so I bought hay I , then I had to heal his patchy fur so I went to the vet and they diagnosed it as fungal infection so we bought a fungal spray and in a few months it healed complety . Today he is 2 years old and on a proper diet but he does have seizures but rarely , the vet said that if it isn't happening too often or for too long it shouldn't affect his life . His name is dusty

But something very intressting is that he is a very young rabbit but he is very good with the pottytraining and he has never even licked a wire or something else he shouldn't touch. I am so suprised by how smart rabbits can be.

LOL... mine dig at the carpets here, even though they've always got other distractions, such as each other, their cardboard boxes, loads of hay and wood to chew... and their toys... it seems destroying carpet is their favorite hobby, they're obsessed with it.

MrNaseer43 if you can’t have a real rabbit I recommend the think gizmos interactive electronic pet rabbit toy it includes 2 double a batteries and is only 30$ on Amazon and comes with a toy carrot to feed him/her and you won’t have to buy it anything since it’s a toy unless you want to

Free roaming is seriously one of the best things you can do. At first, our bun wouldn't let us touch him (he's a fuzzy so it made grooming ... difficult). Incorporating him into our daily routines really helped us bond with him and now he's a total attention sponge. People think of bunnies as timid animals, but they are the complete opposite when they feel comfortable in a space.

My rabbit has no interest in all the toys that he has but when he was hopping around one day he found a chew ball that has been there the entire time but clearly he has never seen before, and he tasted it! this is now his favorite toy in the world. 🤣 I just don’t I understand

I loved this video! So many great ideas, this is what I love most about your channel. I’m a 60 yr. old woman who got my first bunny for my daughter when she was 7 years old. My daughter is now a Junior in college sand I am the bunny Mom to our second rescue bunny. My bunny lives in an X pen at night and is free roam during the day. I believe that she was abused before we adopted her and she continues to be cautious, but has come along way. I always worry about ways to stimulate her and I got some great ideas from this video! Thank you so much for your continued contribution to house rabbits and their quality of life. I’ll be a loyal fan forever!

I'll come up, be like, "oh, hi, Clover!" find a long piece of hay from the litter box ( they already have unlimited hay, just sometimes ill rummage through and find an extra long piece for them) and give it to her. Hazel runs up. She steals it. Clover gives chase. I come back 5 minutes later and they are grooming eachother.*

My mom took a cardboard box and carved little holes in it, so now, when my rabbits are free-roaming, they will often climb into the tunnel and chew on it, and it is the cutest thing ever!

I run to the other end of the room and call to him “Peter, come on” he run to me. I give him a treat of dried apple and run back across the room and we repeat. I am also doing this to teach him his name, in addition to some interactive exercise. He loves it❣️

My bun loves if I fringe the end of toilet paper tubes, he chews those up, better when if you hide a treat inside and fold the fringe in. Also +1 to boxes

Hey Lorelei! I just adopted an English Spot Rabbit about a month ago, and thanks to you he is doing great! I've been watching your videos since wayyyy before I got him (his name is Hercules), and I've been watching you ever since! He has a large x-pen and free roam time around my room when I'm home. He has unlimited hay and I based his diet off of Lennon's, which he loves! He's been flopping all over the place and binkies a lot. Thank you so much!
I've been doing scattered feedings for my bunnies at night since forever. Watching a bunny channel from Japan, I saw a mat that I have been wanting for years, but haven't been able to find. It's called a foraging mat. I'm sure you've seen the ones made from fabric, but Peanut loves to chew on fabric. I didn't want to invest in a fabric one and have him chew it up and end up in stasis, blocked with fabric. I wanted one made out of grass. But I couldn't find one anywhere. I checked so many websites even talked to manufacturers. Then I saw this channel, and he opened one up for his bun and it was perfect. I was able to see the manufacturer on the package, but the website was in Japanese, and after translating it, and trying to order online, I was unable to register because I do not live in Japan. I was discouraged, but called the manufacter that made the one in Japan to see if they would ship overseas. Which of course they did not. I asked a manufacturer here if they would consider creating something similar. I even considered sourcing manufacturers to create it myself and sell it on amazon. On one of my trips to my local pet food store, I was talking about it to the owner. He had never heard of a grass one, and none of his suppliers offered one. Then last month I got a call out of the blue, he had found some, ordered two in for me, and extra to sell. So now I have access to them whenever my boys have thoroughly trashed these ones. They have to dig their faces in further to get to the food/treats buried inside, and I don't have to worry that they will end up in stasis.

Since I started scatter feeding about 2 weeks ago my bunnies have been more active and engaged. They seem happier! I hide little bits under things, on top of things, scatter some around and they seem to love it 💚

Great, cheap alternative for teaching treat gate (if I got the name correct) is plain cupcake liners. I have five of those around the space where my bunny free roams and I hide treats (in my case pallets because she is still very young) underneath them. She likes to flip them or move them so that she can get to the hidden treasure and throughout day she likes to check if there is something new hidden.

Edit: Still no bunny, I cleaned my room though and made enough room for a bunny, I will bunny proof it soon but that will be pretty easy since I don’t have any cords (got a wireless lamp, I will charge my stuff in a different room)!!
Edit 2: I will never have a bunny- my dad said that we can’t have 2 pets in the house so I won’t have one until I move out and have enough money. I’ll be honest, I actually thought I might have one. A bunny is the only thing that I wanted it would’ve make me very happy. No one understands how much I wanted that bunny, I feel like it would’ve been the best friend I would get him/her.
Edit 3: Superrrr sorry to disappoint but my parents said no but they would get me a kitten.... any type even if its a bit pricy though :). I think I'm going to get a Neva Masquerade so you can search that up. :D

I gave my rabbits those three balls and I came to check on them in the morning and all that was left was a couple small sticks mixed with some hay. Lol!
Mine is now free roam and I’m happy with it! He has even started sleeping by my head at night. Plus there’s nothing like a cute bunny alarm clock!

My bunny has a cage where she has a liter box, her water, her food and a few toys. We've just left the door open though. I never close it and our dog has warmed up to her really fast and there's no issue. They seem more friendly everyday. Luckily our lab is almost 9 so shes pretty docile! I love your videos they're so informative. We got our little bunny from a breeder and when we got her she was super dehydrated and didn't even eat timothy hay. She's become so active and part of the family and learned to use her litter box in as little as a week. We spoil her so much.
I don’t even own a bunny yet but I love watching these! When my children are a bit older I would love to get a bunny as a family as I had two as a child and loved them dearly. I’ve learned so many things I never knew as a kid and I am honestly sad that I didn’t give my bunnies the best life they could have had! Hopefully as a family we can go about this the right way when the time is appropriate! Thanks for teaching me!

I have dogs so my bunnies have an exercise pen. We bought all the stuff to make a large pen. It's safe enough to be inside when weather is yucky or too hot & light enough to be taken outside on good, not so hot days. Our bunnies love early Spring & Fall where we live. I'll bring their pen outside with toys & hidey boxes & do yard work or take my homework outside. Their "movable" pen fits perfect up against their very large fenced area outside. We have a 3 acre backyard & they have a very large area all to themselves which is great when they get the zoomies.

We just brought our bunny home a few weeks ago. She absolutely adores being brushed. She enjoys it so much that she will often bring her brush to me so that I will groom her.
This is by far the most helpful video I've seen in a while. My little boy ignores almost every toy that I give him, and we live in a tiny dorm room with limited space to run and explore. With RHDV2 and everything else going on in the world, I don't feel comfortable taking him out for walks often, so this will help us get though this rough patch.

Whenever I'm watching lennon videos my bunny is always taking a nap on my chest
Excellent video with some great suggestions. My bunny loves that Rosewood garden/salad mix and I sprinkle it on hay that I place inside a paper bag and he will spend quite a while foraging it out and then eating the hay as well.
My bunny somber loves when I put hay and pellets inside of a empty paper towel roll it’s cheep and a good way to forage
I do something similar! I take some brown packaging paper and fold it up with hay and pellets inside. I wrap it with some string and it keeps her entertained when I'm away. She loves tearing it apart to get to the food. She is only really interested in toys that involve food so I have to get creative and stuff treats into her willow balls which forces her to chew the toys.

Because of you and Lennon; my bunny, Bean, has a pin and her own space 24/7. I've had her since May, she's almost 5 months old. Our bond has strengthened !
My baby bunnies are currently living in a 8 foot by 6 foot shed and they love it! Best £400 spent ever and they have 2 layers meaning extra space for fun. They also get around 4 hours of free roam time a day so very hyper and healthy bunnies 💜

I put treats in a cardboard tube and close the ends off but sometimes I cut little holes or leave the end with a tiny opening, so that they have to shake it around and they all LOVE it it keeps the busy for a long time. Also I put hay in at little box with some treats to keep them busy!
Thanks for all of your great information about free roming rabbits. I am currently working on bunny proofing my room so that my rabbit can stay in there from now on, and your videos have been a huge help
I know this is random but instead of calling my bunny "babby" like a normal person I call him "my little bro" cause I think of him as a brother 😂😂😂

hi lorelei!♥ i have a netherland dwarf bunny who's currently almost a year old. the pet store owner said that Vinny was going to need a cage and i did my re search bout rabbits and bunnies before getting one but i never knew that vinny needed to be free roamed. so, after watching your videos, i am going to convince my parents to free roam vinny and we are going to the vet soon too to get vinny spayed and i love watching your videos because they help me with making my bun feel secure. as soon as vinny turns a year old (mid-sep) my parents and i will get rid of the cage and use a medium sized pen instead while we bunny proof our house. also, i hope you do another "reacting to my subscriber's bunny habitats". i'll hopefully have my set-up done by then. ♥
edit : omg! guy's guess what? my parents actually set up the pen and vinny is WAAAY happier and i am so so happy rn! ♥
also, the pen is more of a medium size like i said but vinny can go in and out as she pleases because we bunny proofed our house early! - guy's i can't believe it aaaaa :D

guys, guess what?! we got rid of the cage earlier than said and i am so happy!! even my bunny seems more happy n excerised in her new pen! she get get out when she wants (except night) but i'm sooooo happy rn!! ::D thank you all for your suggestions :D
actually- she gets out at night too, it's her choice basically haha, i'm soooo happy rn :D

In my opinion, the best way to keep a bunny stimulated is a partner! They will never feel lonely and have a partner they can actually communicate with :)

Years ago had bunnies at home🥰 we also had chicken, and the rabbits learned from the chicken the food-time call😆so they would come together to eat and shared each other's food. Bunnies also learned fetching from the dog... they are very smart
