gotta love Ronnie, playing Gibson at some Fender event, being pissed as fart and still rocking the fucking instrument. Pure artist and true professional, rock'n'roll baby.
I love this song. I watch Ronnie Lane singing it all the time. This Ronnie (Wood), version is a first time watch for me. I know his voice is gravelly, and "mature", but its still great. ❤🇬🇧
So Woody is drunk and raspy...and forgets some of the words...and yet, there is something about this performance that I just can't stop watching it. Anyone else agree?
That is actually how the song was recorded. There are no official lyrics. The words change everytime you watch Ronnie or Rod sing them. This was one of the songs we sang back in the early 1980s. We did a lot of Rod Stewart and our drummer did Ronnie Wood and Levon. The lyrics were changed depending on the crowd.
@Ronnie Wood I love anything and everything associated with Ronnie Wood and Ronnie Lane. I do everything I can to keep Ronnie's memory alive and his music heard.
@Ronnie Wood it is very gracious and kind of you to respond to my comment. I have never gotten an autograph; that would be awesome. I have seen your website and greatly admire your work. Two close friends of mine met you when The Stones played in Halifax, Canada. After eating at The Wooden Monkey restaurant, you arranged stage passes for them. I have a photo of them with you, Keith and Charlie. And I was at that concert. I purchased your book, The Works, when it was published in 1987 and still have it in my collection. I especially love the Muddy Waters and Ray Charles portraits. I have played drums in bar bands, and they are two of my earliest influences. I have played lots of Stones' tunes as well over the past 50 years or so. The portrait of Charlie is also brilliant. Best wishes and much love from the east coast of Canada.
I told my wife "he must have forgot about the event... then somebody reminded him, and, in a hurry, he grabbed the first case he bumped into... and off he went...". Keith himself in his bio mentions that Ronnie´s extremely distracted... we may add "in his own kind, gentle and woody way"!
Best concert I ever saw was Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood at Orlando Sports Stadium in 1972 …what a great show those 2 put on It kept getting better and better after several encores at the end of the night they were passing the Champagne back and forth
Watch from 4:26 to the end, i bet it was not rehearsed...the rithm guitarrist in the background is smiling surprised with the delicate, beautiful ending. What an artist Ronnie is, and WHAT a GREAT BAND he had in this performance. Hats off!

I think this is so special that his daughter joins her dad to sing back up on this. I love it that at a Fender Guitar celebration, that Ronnie and the guy behind Ronnie are playing a Jumbo Gibson guitar. That is really sticking it to Fender.
@@TheStrataminor the old has been is one of the Rolling Stones, and if fender could make a acoustic guitar that was worth a shit he would probably be playing one.
I feel in love with Ron back when Maggie May,now I'll see him again in Seattle. The last time was in Cleveland 1970s Rolling Stones. He can sing drunk anytime love is blind and your far to kind never goes old.
You know he has been around for along time and has been a friend to many of his colleges. He is also a talented song writer. Ronnie Lane would not be turning in his grave , he was his FRIEND. It was sung in respect for Ronnie. If you know anything about the history of British Rock in the 60's and early 70's you would know this.
Desde Argentina nos gusta Ronnie Wood su forma de tocar la guitarra y la forma especial de cantar. Es un hombre que no puede negar su fibra Stones. 👍💗😘🎸🎼
I saw Ronnie twice with the Stones... 2006, Argentina... 2016, Brasil... hope I can see more! A great musician, a great performer, a great character... great Faces-Solo-Stones records... Keep up keeping up, Ronnie, as if you were in "your father´s yacht"!
Ronnie, from one of the best raw rock&roll bands of the early 70's. Was always only one guitar player in the band the Faces and had the best tone. Listen to "A nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse" great tone great album.

Cameron Matthew I’ll have to hope the laughing faces are at Ron’s horrific voice... This song was about Ronnie Lanes Grandad giving him life advise. So was close to his heart, the first verse being about the worries of women, which Ronnie used to bring out his wife to dance with him. This was to show his grandad he’d found a good woman so he needn’t worry... Rod Stewart then stole it when he left the faces and Ron Wood too amongst others. All because Ronnie Lanes manager took advantage of Ronnie having MS and screwed him out of the rights for a lot of his songs.
