    Sometimes these live, super jams for whatever purpose brought together, don’t work that well, but this is one of the great Classics of all time in live jams!!! OMG I’ve never heard a better combination ever, I don’t think!!!…and you can tell they all feel it happening!!! absolutely extraordinary. Love this one!!

      no it wasn't I was there...Joe was drinkin a Heineken, and Clapton was the MC..Ron joined in on this number, he covered it on his Gimme Some Neck album. I also met him that night , what an amazing and down to earth guy...luv Ronnie

    The great Joe Cocker. No other voice has ever had the depth he had. Unfortunately, he rarely got to use it to full advantage. The greatest white blues singer of all time.

    This should have a million views just to watch Ronnie and Eric make it happen, Charlie and the other drummers are having a blast, then Joe with his smokey voice man thanks for posting this. You got to love the rabbit hole of music posted here thank you again.

    Have you seen the version on the Bob Dylan Tribute show from I think 1992. Ronnie Wood and Steve Cropper is on fire. Plus Ronnie sounds good on that one.

      I am a huge Ronnie Woods fan, but singing is not his best quality. OMG. You couldn’t of picked a more perfect person than Joe Cocker!! This is beyond believable, the most exceptional version ever made of this song.

    Not thrilled with this version despite the lineup. Ron should have sung it. And he is in not on fire guitar wise. I have seen Wood live really tear it up. Ray Cooper is intrusive too. The ARMS tour. RIP Ronnie Lane.

      OMG I could not disagree with you more!!! WTF and Joe Cocker makes this the greatest version of this song ever done with this ensemble right here!!! And Ronnie’s creative lick, was fricking off the cuff and incredible and they’re all in the groove in response to it!!!

      Sean, you couldn’t be more wrong!! Ronies set the tempo for the whole song with that extraordinary solo. I don’t know what in the heck you were listening to OMG. I think he caught Clapton offguard a little bit. Ronnie tends to want to wing it. it, but that was improvisation perfection and all the band reacted to it incredibly!!!
