I’m using chicken and broccoli, but you can use your favourite ingredients. Easy peasy. Happy Sunday! 💕
Growing up in an Asian household, we always made fried rice out of whatever was leftover from the week- be it chicken, hot dogs or bologna. As an adult I do the same! Sometimes, when I don't have the typical seasonings, I'll experiment with what I have and I'm never disappointed!
Love fried rice. Actually have lots of broccoli. No chicken, but I do have shrimp!! Thanks for the 💡
Flo and Dude, Sunday is not complete without your new recipe!
My favorite meal when I have a rotisserie chicken on hand!!! 😊😊👍
Thank you for the nice recipe and demonstration. You are such a sweet couple.
I feel like I'm right there watching you cook it's so enjoyable.
❤️
You guyes are awesome, God bless you and your family 👪 +1
Cooked rice and it's in the refrigerator 😋 I thank you for the class you give it's blessed us in many ways. We have one restaurant open now it's Asian. I wish I understood why we're losing so many places to get out for a month eating. But look with this class I'll enjoy tell they open again for a outing. Thank you all for your time and class.
Dude and Flo Prayers going 🙏 up for Everyone Love 💘 🙏❤♥ 💕 💖
Yum! I have peas that I will add! Thanks!😊
Dude flo is my new favorite cook 😂
This is a great idea since I have the exact items to make the same fried rice tonight! Thanks Flo and Dude! Have a nice weekend!
Looks delicious. Like the amount of cold rice used as well as eggs. The drizzle of sesame oil does the trick!
Flo has such a sweet smile it makes me smile too.
With vegetables being so expensive, I’ve found fresh carrots and frozen peas are finding their way into my fried rice more often. Also, jar of garlic and ginger in my fridge has been cheaper than fresh.
Looks great!! only thing missing is some siracha!!!
Excellent tutorial. Thank you.
I have to say that of all your fried rice recipes, while they are excellent, this has to be my favourite 'cause we are big chicken lovers in my house and my favourite vegetable is broccoli! 😋😋😊😊
Happy Sunday to you. Flo, you read my mind. The Eagles 🦅 play today and I’m from that area. A nice bowl of fried rice, is what I’m going to eat. Looks delicious 😋 ty for another great recipe 💜💜😇
Best idea when you have leftovers , and not in the mood to cook , always have leftovers, so very versatile, have a great day and much blessings .

Flo each time i watch your video, you make me so hungry 😂and surely i will try it. Yes nowadays is about easy to cook, fast, cost effective and still a wholesome meal 👍
i love how you can just use almost anything for fried rice...and sneak in veggies!! good idea flo!
You’re an awesome teacher and Dude does a great job as cameraman, taste tester🙏 Thank you🌸
Delicious 😋 good way to get rid of leftovers 😅
Have a great week Flo ❤
You have a great smile Flo😊😊
New subscriber here, so glad I stumbled onto your channel! I love your cooking ideas, done simply and cheaply, and that your recipes run the whole spectrum of the Asian culture, from Chinese to Hawaiian. I think the first thing I want to try is your recipe for SPAM musubi (yea, I'm a guy who loves and doesn't get enough SPAM in my life!). Looking forward to binging through your channel, and trying many of these recipes out.
Looks delish. Thank you.
I bought myself a carbon steel wok and all the tools as a birthday present to myself, as well as your cookbook! It seasoned up wonderfully and is already doing a great job of cooking w/o hardly anything sticking. Some hot water and a stiff brush breaking away any bits, a rinse/dry/seasoning oil with some heat at the end and GTG! I've already made a couple of batches of fried rice over the weekend. Today, probably some beef with broccoli!!
Thank you, Flo/Dude, for these videos. They are much appreciated. God bless you both.
Flo you are so right. Fried rice is a real busy day go to for me and the kids love it. I have used left over roasted meats, eggs, veggies, you name it. Always a crowd pleaser and the left overs are just as good the next day. Good budget stretching meal too. 👏👏
Must have scallions in my fried rice, but that's just me. Thanks for the video.
The counter stove you use where did you buy it. Congratulations on your channel. The rcepies are amazing. I have tried some, and we love them. Many blessings to you and your family. Thank you for sharing your amazing cooking abilities.
Whenever I start wishing we could blow the budget and eat at our favorite Chinese-American restaurant I know it is time to make fried rice. That will usually take care of the craving. Sometimes instead of the soy sauce I use kecap manis instead to give it a little sweet kick. Thank you for the inspiration as always Flo and Dude!
Hi Flo, Dude, family and followers. I really need to get a wok, that looks so good and so fadt. I tried doing wontons the other day, I enjoyed laughing at myself the shapes was not working for me, I will be practicing more but the meat for it was so delicious. Yes your recipe. I am so happy more Asian products are being sold in my neighborhood. Yay me.
Have a great day.
I'm sharing this with my brother...he just got into making homemade fried rice. This will knock his socks off!! Thank you!! I'll be making this too!
Looks very tasty,
Thanks
Thanks so much for the super thanks, Jojo!
@@FloLum You are so welcome. I'm on a fixed income so I know it's not much, but I have learned so much about Asian cooking and it's all due to you and Dude. I also applaud your way of life. Such a lesson to us all. I check in every Sunday which is apt.
Can't thank you enough. Not sure I will be buying sprimp
paste :):). I do use chopsticks quite well, especially for a chubby white chick. All the best. JOJO
So very kind! It is such an encouragement to know that we are bringing helpful content to our viewers and hopefully making cooking simpler. ☺️💕
Thank you flo
Thanks 😊 so easy.
Brava, thanks
Nice meal 😋 👌
Looks delicious!
man, you make my mouth water.. Your food is so darn good. thank you for sharing with everyone to loves to eat. I would love to cook Egg foo Young. got a recipe for that?
Love love love ❤
If you freeze your rice before you incorporate it in your stir-fry it will make the grains stay individual and keep them from clumping.
I like the idea mam
Hi Flow, we love your channel, thank you for all your cooking videos. Wed like like to ask what chopsticks you use to cook. Thanks.
Hi! Could you do a foods list in your Amazon store? Especially the sauces you use?😊
Flo, you’re such a cutie in that blooper!! You make it look so easy, but when I try fried rice, it always comes out clumpy and mushy. I use leftover cold rice, so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Your’s looks delicious! TFS, Sharon🤗♥️ Happy Sunday!
You probably have to cook it at high heat
@jonesbub1 Thanks, Sharon… it’s possible your rice might be too soggy to begin with, maybe adding to much water when cooking it. Also, try to flatten the rice and let it heat through before stirring it around. Hope that helps.
Freeze your rice, then thaw it before making stir-fried rice. I guarantee the grains will not clump. i learned this by accident when I incorporated a batch of rice that I had frozen into my fried rice. The grains of rice stayed individual and did not make a mushy clump.
That sesame oil finish-yum! Going to make this soon.
I can smell it!
Almost.
No sugar?? It still looks amazing.
Flo I love your recipes! I do have a question I received a bottled of thick soy sauce and not sure what recipes I could use it in do you have any suggestions?
Always delicious and so budget considerate! What kind of wok is that?
I use a handcrafted stainless steel wok that I bought in our local Chinatown over 20 years ago. Unfortunately, I haven’t found one to recommend yet but as soon as I do, I will let y’all know.
Hello Maam ❤
Thats how i messed up beed fried rice,i cracked eggs over the rice, shoulda cooked em before then added.
I love fried rice! Flo, this may be food blasphemy to you; if so, I'm sorry! But my son loves the "yum yum" sauce (that pinkish sauce) we get at our favorite Asian restaurant. I hate to go to the restaurant and order just the sauce. Lol. I've never seen you use it or make it. Do you have a recipe? Thanks!
LOL! I have no idea what that pink sauce would be. What does it taste like?
@@FloLum It's kind of a sweet, savory, tangy sauce they give to dip things in I guess and my son pours it over rice. Also called shrimp sauce some places. I'm guessing you don't have a recipe. Lol!! Thanks Flo!
I don't see the cutting board listed on materials needed. which kind please? I have a little 6x5 piece of plastic and leaves cutting grooves. Please post a link for a cutting board?
What kind of rice do you usually use?
I usually use Jasmine but I have also used Japanese short grain and basmati.
hey, flo i heard that you are not supposed to put soy sauce directly in the wok while cooking but, you're actually supposed to sprinkle it along the side
If i have rosticerie chicken should i marínate it?
Or add anything to it?
No need. Skip that whole part about marinating the chicken. After cooking the egg, do the veggies and add the chicken after to warm up before adding rice.
Thanks a lot
What type of rice do you use ?
Jasmine
In the uk you are told you should not reheat cooked rice as it isn't safe. I am guessing they are wrong?
I have never heard that before. 🤔 I have been eating fried rice my whole life. I am am healthy and have no health issues. 🤷🏻♀️ But I am also not a scientist.
Looks good, but it needs more broccoli. I like broccoli stir-fried or steamed soft, not mushy or crunchy.
I'll use a large rotisserie chicken and get more bang for the buck. Half of it can be used for chicken salad and ramen noodle soup.
Sounds like your mother is using spoiled chicken. Fresh chicken doesn't smell.
✌👍
Thank you, Flo and Dude ;-)! I have a wok but didn't realize you had to heat it up to a smoking point..then add oil to cook - so thank you for that! Also = the tip on the onion - very cool! Love the recipe and how you always consider cost and ease to create - truly appreciated. The cost of food [everything!] is a very real issue for so many of us. Nice to have something that is economical and delicious! You're the best!
