As an ex British Army solider , I love these guys , fierce warriors ,but the nicest , most genuine people you could wish to meet. Keep the Gurkha's forever !!
Treat them very good, and they will stay! This people are very well educated by there parents! Much love and freedom, but in the same way many rules! Our children get everything they like, and doing not much, as hanging around! This boys have to walk to school. Far and by all weather conditions! Wonderful people!
Lots of Gurkhas stay in Hong Kong with their family, they are hard work guys here but it is the time for them to consider to leave or not because dark side force are rising here
Gurkhas are hard as nails and fearless. On a culinary note. If you ever get the opportunity to eat Nepalese Cuisine take it. There curry will knock your socks off.
Being an ex Royal Engineer, I had numerous goat curries courtesy of these wonderful soldiers. Must admit the bones were a bit of a pain, but the flavours of the meat and rice were like heaven. Total respect for these lads.
I really feel proud seeing these Gorkhali men posted in Afganisthan..Nepali men are the bravest men on Earth..Proud to be Nepali because we still have blood from our brave ancestors love u
Falklands many years ago, a Gurkha regiment were resident. They had a bar which one night a few RN and RAF tradesmen dared to enter. The welcome was fantastic and after a few drinks the Gurkha curry was brought out. We made friends that evening.
i worked at Queen elizabeth barracks in the mid 90’s as a cleaner. i was working there during regiment change over. it was either 2nd or 7thGR that was heading out and if i remember correctly it was 10GR that where coming in. it was a great time working there. i worked in the main cookhouse, then i went on to work in sgt mess and H blocks. very friendly people and the food is mouthwatering especially the black mutton… wow i miss that… Thank you for your service…🇳🇵🇬🇧 lest we forget…
Not all Gurkhas are Hindus. Most of the Gurkhas are Buddhist or Kirat because most of the Gurkhas in the British Army and Singapore police force are of Mongoloid race. Hindus are mostly Aryans in Nepal.

That's why Chicken Tikka Masala is the national dish of the UK? Their was a reason they sought to go East India, spices was chief among them. I enjoy a good English breakfast but food from South Asia is some of the most varied in the world. Gordon Ramsay????

But if they buy a live animal and slaughter it themselves there should not be any risk of it being poisoned? I mean, its not like they would have any problems with the process, probably do it just as well as any butcher.
Yeh but the Taliban are nasty bstds ... if they realised animals were being bought, they might infiltrate the tribesmen selling goats and get into a compound, or could just ambush soldiers trying to buy food at a market. So ... for safety have to keep the soldiers from mixing with the local population.
Yeah. He meant, the British officers and fellow soldiers also love their spice. They are not good with words. But they sure will prove it with their actions.

It’s sad that Rfn Vijay Rai 2:21 was killed in combat less than 2 months after this interview. May his soul rest in peace in heaven.

Scarcity of water might have been the problem as it requires a lot of water after slaughter
