@navsofour2982 After reading your comment enough times I had to reply. At a young age from his first tour he was a marine because he loved his job (not on tour, just general life) he was like any young soilder. After his second tour and seeing his mates around him being killed, seeing the taliban sending women and children forward and hiding behind them, he grew a deep founded hatred for them. Was an MP and my dad was in the army before me. Came across lots of soldiers and all are heroes and you are living proof of them. I have found that most UK civvies do not respect or appreciate the military like the US does and they should be ashamed. These armchair warriors should watch your movie and hang their heads in shame, as they would not have the guts to do what you did or the agonies you have gone through on their behalf. Thank you and all your Mates for your Service! Even though it can't be said enough, With gratitude! From America, Love & Respect!
The care and concern displayed by the medical professional at 00:35 is next level wholesomeness.
Serves a dual purpouse, it also helps them get out of anesthesia faster
This Marine is the Man! Much respect from the USA! 🫡🫡🫡🫡
What an inspiring young man. A true real life hero!
You are truly a Hero!! I’m a US Veteran, your story has touched my heart♥️🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸/🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Can’t help but feel very humbled listening to this very brave incredible man what an inspiration to all walks of life not just the military casualties but everyone may god bless you
What a incredible man! He was meant to survive because he has got so much positivity about and he is living his life to the full & he deserves that for being so brave ❤
Genuinely good people are 1 in a million these days. Hat's off to this man
He still has his lovely face no one can take that away from him glad you can still see and hear and what ever damage you have i the brain it does not show when you are talking you are a total legend .
Thank you for your service brother! Much love from the states 👊🏼
Wish the US honored its Vets as much as the UK😢 Thank God they are valued🙏💕🙏
PAUL:
HEROES don't always wear capes. THANK YOU 4 your service & 4 sharing your story. H❤GS from Wisconsin.
God Bless You Brother, you are a true hero! 🫡🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Respect and Honor to you fellow Soldier. Thank you for your service.
My great grandfather served in WWI and my grandfather lied about his age to join the Army TWO YEARS BEFORE PEARL HARBOR and served in the Air Force for 28 years. I'm a retired Army veteran. I lost my left leg in a training accident right after Desert Storm. You have my utmost respect. Thank you very much for your service and sacrifice. Cheers from America.
He said he was there for the freebies though, would not compare to your grandpa. Beware of comparison between heroes and mercenaries mentalities.
@navsofour2982
After reading your comment enough times I had to reply.
At a young age from his first tour he was a marine because he loved his job (not on tour, just general life) he was like any young soilder. After his second tour and seeing his mates around him being killed, seeing the taliban sending women and children forward and hiding behind them, he grew a deep founded hatred for them. Not a mercenary, a soldier fighting for the same reason the British military were there.
@@navsofour2892 There are no freebies in the military, he was being sarcastic... oh and you are a moron.
@@twistiefe He specifically mentioned the freebies so i guess by your own rule he is the moron, and by extension then you.
@@NxploHD why do you need to answer there is nothing to answer. You are seeking justification against your own self. Like if the military wouldn't carry assassins or mercenaries, like the bankers & politicians do crooks. Don't build exceptionalism where there isn't. It just puts yourself in the wrong bag.
What an absolute legend, thank you for sharing your experiences with us
It could just be me, but I find it insane how at the beginning of the video he says “what’s not to like” about the job, and then he continues to say how he snapped his neck, went blind, went deaf, has brain damage, lost a leg etc etc… while doing that job. thank you very much for your service none the less
Amazing man. Thank you for keeping us safe. Your service is NOT taken for granted I promise. Signing up to this lottery right now.
God Bless you man , Everyones recovery is basically an individual experience . Man , you are a miracle and inspiration.
Much Love & respect from 🇦🇺
Such a humble brave man 🙏🏼 Thank you for your service and God bless you Paul ❤
My God this man us a true war hero and someone who we can all look up to for inspiration...period.
My thoughts go out to the men, women and children of Afghanistan who suffer horribly to this day because of war.
He is just amazing i hope you enjoy the rest of your life you are a very kool guy.
Great mind-set and determination. Inspirational.
This man’s resilience and grit to crack on, amazing
I'm American, and I greatly respect the American military as well as the British military and our allies. I watched this entire video about this man. He is a hero God bless him. He has that rare thing inside him that keeps him motivated no matter what. Good for him! I almost had my left leg amputated 3 different times, but I kept telling them NO. I was right, I still have my leg. Good luck to him always!
Brother all of our finest were sent over to those deserts for absolutely nothing. Trillions spent, millions of Iraqis dead and thousands of our boys - for absolutely sweet nothing.
He said he was there for the freebies, more of a mercenary than a hero. Glad he survived though but not any mention to God nor anything for the miraculous result.
@@navsofour2892 the medical staff saved his life, not "god" have some respect
@@koolaidcrusade7776 Well surely God did not come down to operate him if that is what you thought I meant.
I love how as soon as you were back to any kind of normality, you were ready to test yourself physically and mentally. 👊 Strong as hell
Thank you for your service.. forever a hero to your beautiful country. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am discussed with the pride that soldier is talking about it and specially when we know how many innocent civilians have been killed and no one is prosecuted for it .
I remember watching the 'Royal Marines: Mission Afghanistan' and was always worried about what Paul's long term outcome was. Such a character and I am so pleased to see he's doing what appears to be better than alright at face value. I hope to see you go from strength to strength.
I’ve never seen somebody cry and it made me cry..NEVER! Until today.
Bless you sweetheart. Sending love and strength from Australia.
He is a warrior through and through. This man was fighting for his life and all he could think about was not being a soldier anymore. Let me tell you something. You will always be a Soldier. Love you Man.
God bless you my brother.
Thank you Sir for your Service. You’re a walking miracle a testament to your courage and bravery but especially the skill and dedication of the Drs, nurses and surgeons who helped you through it. The first step was the medics on the ground and especially in the helicopter who never gave up on you.
Respect to you and your fellow service men and women. Lest we forget 🌹
Its sad that most of Americans will never appreciate his sacrifice!! Respect to you sir!!! I take my hat off to you and thank you for your service!
i do

I love this guy, his attitude is just brilliant.
A true hero indeed.
Thank you for your service you are a brave veteran 👌
Cheers from Hobart Tasmania Australia 🦘🇦🇺
Thank you for your service brother.
WHAT A Strong man he will continue to survive each day and help others get over their problem Salute to you mate
He’s a strong man, but all the graphic injuries he suffered, there’s no way he doesn’t suffer from PTSD.
I agree. It often doesn't manifest itself for years.
Ehat u feel with ptsd?
I’m a psychology student and it really does depend on the person, their genetics, their personality, and the way they were raised. Someone could go through something as horrific as this and never end up suffering with PTSD.
Sir you are a true hero and BADASS, thank you for your service and hope you and your family have a great life, you truly deserve it!!!
Good man! Job well done, enjoy your life and keep telling your story. You give a lot of ppl the hope they need!

Thank you for your service , you are a true warrior.
Son, you are a bad ass! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service and sacrifice. Glad to hear you found your rush in racing, I feel more veterans need to do that. Keep up the good spirits and most of all whenever possible keep smiling.
Watched the series about his unit's deployment to Afghanistan here on youtube that also covered his evacuation from the battlefield. This guy is a true warrior and hero.
Good man. I’m glad he’s still with us and pray he finds happiness and joy in his life. God bless him🙏🙏🙏🙏
This bloke is such an inspiration to life and a wonderful man with a wonderful story who did a fantastic job it's just a shame that the US pulled out the way they did this bloke must be feeling the pain from that alone as well as his injuries he deserves a platinum medal along with others
I remember watching him in a programme over 10 years ago now. Paul thank you for your service
Incredible that you are alive man.. Thank you for your service!!! A true hero.
Incredible for what.... Killing innocebt iraqi civilians. Iraq did nothing to us. Maybe u should learn about the innocent iraqi civilians who were mutilated killed raped murdered. Then u will know the real heroes.
U brainwashed or what... Service of what.... He serviced the same global elites and their oil companies that are telling u its eat or heat. Understand. Wake up. And think for urself
this man loves being a soldier, i dont see much people who do after they suffer traumatic events serving
Paul mentioned an important fact within this dialogue that, "charities are the backbone of the injured veterans community", and that's a sad fact. Sad, as our government do nothing and offer very little help (if any) to our veterans - it's a sorry state of affairs.
You are the definition of a true ☆HERO☆!!!
I was badly injured in a motorcycle accident with head injury, spinal fractures , tears, dislocations, left side loss of use, etc. I am thankful to see your story and inspired by you ❤ I found your story similar regarding both the mental and physical aspects. I laughed about your idea to ditch the leg because I share your views - If it's a hindrance, make it go away... At one time, I wanted my left arm gone due to that severe, relentless pain. Agreed ❤ the cries are necessary, and I appreciate hearing you speak that. Sometimes, you just reach the point where it's too hard, and you don't want to quit, but you deserve to damn well cry. It helps 'shake it off' to keep going 💪. Thank you sooooo much for sharing all you have. I am still grieving and working hard at trying to wrap myself around my new me, some 5 years later... just, thank you ❤ I won't stop. I feel renewed to seek what you found; that new passion that'll come close to what I want back.
It’s awesome to see people go through complete hell and pull through on top in the end pure inspiration 🤙🏽
Don't put yourself down saying your brains knackered. You come across as sharp and switched on. Typical RM. Keep on smiling and racing. Inspiration to listen to that. Well done you.
