Ford Powerstroke 6.0 & 6.4 OEM Oil Filter Cap VS Aftermarket Combo Cap

I show how to tell the difference between aftermarket integral oil filter caps and OEM. If you have a Ford Super Duty with a 6.0 or 6.4 Powerstroke, watch this before you do an oil change. Especially 6.0's since the oil is used to fire the injectors.

Good video. Apparently the connection between the genuine Ford filter and the genuine Ford cap is patented by Ford. So the work around for aftermarket parts suppliers like Napa is to sell both the filter and the cap with their own connection design. Then when the unsuspecting 2nd or 3rd owner of the truck goes to do his own oil change using a genuine Ford filter thinking he is buying the proper and best filter he inadvertently damages his engine.
