- Working on 3 different John Deere 8R tractors in this video. First, I take a look at a 8370R that is setting VGT turbo speed codes. Then we go to another farm to look at two more 8R's. A 8R 370 with a fuel level issue and a 8R 340 with a transmission control lever issue. #johndeere #johndeeretractor #johndeere8r

A John Deere mechanic saying the words "It's Free" almost made me fall out my chair !! ha
That bolt/nut you dropped is in the far corner of the shop under a leaf, and laughing at you. 🤣 Love watching you work on the "Green Iron"!
I miss Josh, he was cool and he's right, gotta close your eyes in order to see.
Thanks for another great video ZK.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Good service calls you shared with us. Kind of what we call plug and play calls.
The turbo sensor device went pretty good for you except it was very tight quarters to work in but you got it in the end. The new turbo device fixed the problem. Good show ZK.
The other situations you had you made short work of. Plug and play type stuff.
The fuel knob you had fixed in no time. You did a new thumb nail turn wheel and you had. It. Nice work ZK.
Thanks for talking us thru these fix it jobs. Enjoyed the work and following you along.
You take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Love the service calls! looking forward to the next ones coming down the pipeline. Thanks for the video!😀👍
Never fails to make me smile when big Zak pays a service call to a massive lump of green iron and has to take some little pills to get in the thing! And never mind about eyes in yer finger tips - you need ESP to get some of these jobs done.
Couple of days ago, we had four cavalry horses break loose in London (hopefully they're all o.k. after some veterinary care) but SnapOn know how to charge eh? $176 for a cutaway socket! I thought those PWZ plier wrenches were bad enough but at least they have some weight to them.
It's like winter over here right now, very green and springlike but sweatshirt and a jumper weather with a stiff breeze from Greenland - certainly not outdoor tractor repair weather.
I really enjoy watching you wotking on this iron.
Awesome video Zeth! I for the life of me don’t understand how Your watch hasn’t broke yet! If that was me the first day it would be cracked already!
I love hearing the VGG saying in your videos. Cracks me up.
Love to See You and The Green Iron!
It would be nice to see the Owners / Operators of that Green Iron give it a wash down from time to time.
Bet you wish Josh was there to do that in that tight space😊
Great job, greetings from Germany
Hello and greetings from Kanab Utah ... You do great work on the Green Machines and your UA-cam channel. Thank you for all your efforts. Respectfully, Utah Mike.🤩👍
Thank you very much!
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing the bird nest catching on fire on top of the engine. Pop up the hoods a couple of times a week. Operators should help that issue 😂.
Good job Zeth. Sometimes you need big hands and sometimes you need small hands .
You are the man Zeth, great video let's people know what you do in your very busy days.
being an aircraft mechanic...it's never good to hear parts go flying 😂. we are required to find that stuff. Love the breakdowns of components and the how-to videos!
Thanks for watching!
That fuel repair I'll call it a kiss repair job
You all stay safe this spring !
I do enjoy watching you working on green iron.
did a inspection on a 8295r today dyna at 290hp and 1600 ftlbs powerful machine
You make everything look so easy. Truly you are a master tech. Love the channel. Miss seeing Josh
Thanks for your content. Love your channel.
8370 is not old. 4020 is old. D is old. 🤣
Working my way through your back catalogue, your methodology and problem solving is excellent! Loving the journey!!
I just had to make a "special" socket for a 9.0 vgt speed sensor out of a deep Craftsman 13 mm. Kinda hated to do it but no other way at the time.
I hope SLOAN provides all their servicetechs with the special sockets and tools needed!
Yes they do!
Doing great. Love the videos
Great work as always Zeth thanks for sharing 🦘
Cool, nice videos /o
If my old 6403 ever has a big failure, I'll load it on a trailer and haul it from central Texas for ya to repair!!!! 😁
What a ripoff by JD to make you pay $176 for tool designed only for their machine.
"It's this green wire right here". DUH! You think? They're all green! LMAO!
It's a different shade of green
Wie immer, kurzweilig und informativ, merci 🇨🇭😇
If the sensor could talk squatters rights big buddy. Gd luck kicking me out
I'm cheap, I would have gotten the right socket size for that sensor and took a cutting wheel to it, and saved 150 dollars or tried hard anyway!😂
I've made one in a pinch when I needed one out in the field, took a grinder to a 22mm deep socket.
I'm still using that for doing doing NOX sensors. Works great and that socket was like 10 bucks.
There was no reason to replace that sensor… you could of easily put half a can of dielectric grease in the connector and fixed it. /casim
Your doing great 👍
You do an amazing work
Question do John Deere provide schooling when you first start?
Great video enjoy it
Great show looking forward to the next one👍
7:12 a lot of Milwaukee. Love it!.
you are doing great. We learn a lot. thank you don yelm,wa
It is so neat to see what it takes to keep these running well.
👍👍👍🍻🚜
Would it gone easier if you had removed the big air tube off the turbo? 🤔
Great Tech.
Maybe you should call Josh to Be a Backup hand to Help in the Field!
"It's the green wire". You are a funny guy.
Zeth, if that sensor is junk just cut the wire at the sensor.
ZK Master Tech ! Why not do video on putting cut out of 9RX together that was in SF I am currently 77 but remember JD day when I was young before I attended school some things just stick with you
Good job ❤
Thanks
You are the man ZK!!!!
How much money in tools?
Best thing I saw about the 85 was deer finally gave up on the warranty and they took it back last I heard it was in so. America or Mexico
Send som more movies 🙂
Good job on your videos!
I learned how to play 🎹 keyboards and it helped when I had to work in tight awkward places, eyes in your fingertips 😊
Another good one Zeth!
Watch the video and see the Clamp Location it’s outside the Tube that has a Coil going around it close to the Edge
ZK rocks...!
Cutting off the old sensor wire might make life easier.
Can you provide any info on the flex probes?
old tech curiousity ; how often do you try "change of state test", as cimmuns called it , meaning .key off , pull the plug , key on and see if code changes ## ?? crude harness check . yeah doesnt work with all . often hafta CRANK for injectors , but a quick check we use for Komatsu & Cummins/Cumminatsu engines
I use the harness diagnostic mode test which checks all the circuits going in and out of the ECU.
Thanks for the video
You bet
I have cut the cable off many sensors to get it out.
Is it possible to get a job at deere working with you?
You should use the hood lock then you’ll have a lot more room.
No worries, soon it will be electric 😂
Great video Why doesn't the dealership buy some of the specity tools
They do buy most
Power steering gear
Zeth: it's the green wire.
Nice Vid!
Love the Commentary lol
Queria tira uma dúvida sobre os tratores da linha 8370R
Se fizer a pergunta diretamente e em inglês talvez consiga uma resposta
ZK get you a pair of forceps for those cable holders. They work great on those.
Good idea. I've got a pair
@@ZKMasterTech
I used those a lot in the airline industry to help Krupp those clamps closed when installing, also some safety wire works good.
Good job
Thank you
👍👍👍
