In 1985 I wrote Caterpillars systems and diagnostics procedures for LSPC hydraulic systems to fully adjust margin pressure and relief pressure. Three of designed the Caterpillar differential pressure gauge group. If you work on LSPC systems get this gauge. It’ll save you a lot of headaches
Zeth before you completely go down the rabbit hole does the planter have a hyd fertilizer pump? If it is bypassing or the screw to adjust flow is backed all the way out it will be taking the steering away. Had this exact thing happen last year. Unhooked planter and tractor was fine.
I think the faucet can turn off now. Drought to flood in a year. It's always enjoyable to watch you work. With each job you have an opportunity to learn something, so the next time you run into something similar, you have a better idea of an approach. Each job adds something to the library. Thank you for the interesting video. Stay safe, and God bless.
Believe me I know it's like to do surgery on John Deere equipment but then again you're happy when it's done and it works quite well for you after that
Glad I got out of the trade before Hydraulics got so damn complicated, tying it all to the trans etc. Things were simpler in my day, except for combines of course. Thanks Zeth for taking tiny steps rather than big strides. Look forward to next video. From UK.
There’s a lot of hydraulic oil doing a lot of different jobs at the same time here Zeth. I understood your clear explanation of the respective components. If I was a rich farmer I would draw comfort that the Deere support network had people in it like you that know what they’re doing. Enjoyable watch Zeth, thank you.
I love watching your videos, very good content, honestly it is wonderful to be able to see you and learn from all your work, thank you for your channel, happiness
I feel your pain installing the valve, almost thirty years working on forklifts I came across a few where removing parts to gain access took longer than removing the valve itself. Love the channel and its content 👍
Thanks for another awesome video ZK and Joseph. It was extremely informative and interesting and enjoyable to watch. Wow. This tractor gave you a run for its money. You had lots of testing to do and I know from watching you, you didn’t know exactly which way to go with this one. Appreciate the fact you gave the customer the benefit of replacing that valve body under warranty. Like you said, hard to say what the issue is because you never got it to fail. Agree with your decision to replace the valve body and go from there. I give you a tip of the hat for fighting that new valve body back in there. What a struggle. So many lines to hook and rehook back up. And it appears to be doing ok now. On to the combine for you and Joseph. He appears to work well with you. Thanks for teaching him. Thanks for everything ZK. Really enjoy your videos. You are one of the best John Deere has sir!!!!!!!!!!! Hang in there. Take care. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 😊😊👍👋🇺🇸🇺🇸
went down the rabbit hole once before and we replaced the hydro pump and everything was back to normal. Customer said the steering would work in the field but on the road it was very hard. Haven't had any problems with it since.
you have to be brilliant to work on any JD junk because the engineers who made this junk sure didn't care about the extra hard work guys like this have to do to fix it, you are the man ZK, give CAT a call, you would be very well taken care of!
You had the trouble all mechanics have at one time or another in there career.i have had this issue where i could not get the thing to do what the customer complained about.
If the steering was receiving 6gpm that would make for some wicked fast steering. Short of another bypass and return system for the steering circuit I'd say that corroborates the priority valve bypassing internally.
Hello, I have seen your videos, I would like to see if you could give me some advice and clues with a problem I have with my tractor , It is a jd 8530 ivt, these codes appear to me pti 630.13 pti 523912.13 They have already done solenoid tests, hydraulic pressure tests all good. We tried with a new controller from another tractor and it worked but it did not accelerate and there were problems with communication, but it was calibrated and worked The John Deere came and reprogrammed the new controller according to my tractor, and it failed again with the codes that I mentioned at the beginning. I don't know if you could help me, I would appreciate it.

Intermittent problems and not being to recreate the problem can be one of many rabbit holes to go down . Great job , love the content takecare 🇺🇲🚜

Good to see the case tractor is not broken!!!!!
Because that old boxcar has half the systems a new 8R has.
I always like to watch a good troubleshooter. Thanks for bringing us along!

Good job troubleshooting and not just throwing parts at it. Be Safe!
If Mr. Z says something is Heavy, it's HEAVY. Thanx for sharing. 😃

Forklifts, skid steers, and small frame excavators are the worst.
Thanks for another awesome video ZK and Joseph.

Hola buenas tardes, como siempre muy bueno tus videos!!

Great job it's always the same tractor acts up call in the technicians suddenly tractor ok for them
You got that right
Another great video. Thankyou.
Great work a👍
I like the video's very much, it's one of the reasons i get case or fendt. 😮
Great video.
The hard steering could be in the auto steering valve. I have run into that before
I AM GLAD THAT JOHN DEERE MADE INSTALLATION USER FRIENDLY.
Nice job 👏👏👏
That's the trouble now zeth tractors are getting to complicate.
Just have to do your best 👍👍👍👍👍
Great job
Well done
As a maintenance technician sometimes I am scavenging for the root cause of the problem but every now and again I get lucky 🍀
Alsome, love all of your content,
Nice Vid!
I have hydraulic problems on same tractor model on Brazil.. but here tools to test it's hard to get
Orifice inside steering pump (on pressure line) could cause steering problem as well
👍👍👍
Guy made the call about hard steering. Realized later the fluid was low and topped it off....
Putting some of the fittings back on the valve after installing the valve would have been easier I think.
Damn Son! Another oil in the coolant job! FeelsSadMan!
Вы молодцы,какая неисправность была в Джон Дире ?
Why are the replacement parts not painted factory color?
The priority valve orings internally fail due to a bad priority valve
Did this once on a 5r. Painful process
