Back in the 80's one dark morning I was taking my two Staffies for a riverside walk when I heard lots of snuffling and growling I thought they were playing with another dog when I suddenly realised they had been playing with a badger, this lasted for a few minutes then I called them away to go home, the badger stood and watched us walk away, so cute!

Bagders have acid for blood and can puff up 3000 times there body size and have very dangerous claws and 1 tooth at the back of its mouth 10 inches long that can slice through granite. Stone masions use to use them to carve names into head stones years ago.

''Barry'' was clearly in control as he would have been growling and screaming when angry.
He was just 'sussing'' out the intruders to his turf.
They have a really deep growl and a high pitched scream when they get annoyed.
And he was just trotting along, as they have a very fast turn of speed when they need it.
He looked quite young as well as the older the European Badger gets the darker grey their fur gets.
Very clever chaps, and really are fascinating when you study what they can do and the ways they go about it.

Some years ago one summer I was sat in my front room with the window open when I heard a trip trapping sound outside. It got louder and louder, and after maybe 20 seconds a badger trotted by in broad daylight down the middle of our suburban street. After maybe another 20 or 30 seconds he rounded a corner and disappeared from sight. No dog walkers were out. Just a badger doing its thing. I still live in the same house and often look out the front window in hope of seeing him again. Sadly, as of yet, to no avail.

@AJ-yu8qq I wasn't meaning to be disrespectful. And I apologise if I offended you. It's just that I always thought of badgers as peaceful docile creatures. In this situation the badge seemed to feel it needed to assert itself. It wasn't at all put off by the dogs. I did a little more searching and it seems that if they feel threatened they will attack/bite. It looks like here the badger may have felt it had to attack and so it may have seemed scary if one was there in person. However as you were there in person you had a clearer perception that it was harmless.

A couple of tingles from that on their snout for 3 or 4 nights on the trot is enough to get them to change their feeding route for several years. Once they stop visiting you can take it down. It really doesn’t hurt them, so I’ve heard, indeed I’ve given myself a couple of shocks by mistake, it’s only about 12V. At one point my lawn was looking worse than the front line in Ukraine, as well as feeding there they also dug themselves a latrine.

The badger seems habituated to humans and obviously utterly fearless of dogs. I kind of want to pet it, give it a cuddle. It looks like it wants to be friends, a beautiful animal.
