This issue is still happening as of May 24, 2021. This just happened to my BRAND NEW Elgato HD60 Pro and your video gave me the correct solution. THANK YOU.
After hours of looking at other videos and almost deleting everything off my PS4 i found the one video that hit the problem right on the nail. Thank you so much.

Once I restarted the PC I opened up OBS and turned on my Nintendo Switch to see it was successfully displaying it. One thing I did notice that was different from your video was my Switch's audio wasn't being captured either before I fixed it, but simply disabling / reenabling the capture card worked for me. Thank you!

WOW. short, simple, and to the point. and it worked - THANK YOU! i have the elgato 4k60 pro mk2 and the same issue is happening with a different device four years later smh
Been dealing with my card not displaying 4K video for a few days and I have the 4k60 pro I’ve tried so many things to fix the issue but this took all of 15 seconds and my card is now passing thru 4K video thank you
THAT FIXED IT FOR ME!!! i appreciate the video. this saved me the hassle of going thru my nightmare cable management and reseatting the card. thank you so much!!!
Hi there great video . If i may ask a question i have 4k pro mk.2 i'm using a dual setup but for some reason i get a green screen on my elgato card almost covering full screen i can see a small bit on the top that shows my gaming monitor but i tried everything to get this sorted any idea what is wrong thanks again.
MASSIVE thank you. this worked for my El Gato 4k60 Pro card as well. It would show up and act fine in OBS, but if i wanted to run the 4k capture utility to capture the gameplay in parallel it would give me the "no signal" error. you rock
I just got this issue and this solved it! Thank you! It's weird. I never had an issue with my elgato until now. It must be related to the latest update or something.
For mine (HD60 S) it says "hardware settings have changed. you must restart your computer for it to take effect" After I disable the device. If i have to follow your steps each time before streaming, so be it! I have had issues since I bought this thing.. its July 2021, and I bought it back in March. It is really sometime-ing! Thanks for this video!
I tried EVERYTHING to get my brand new one to work. Always had no signal. The best I could get was to get the video to flash up for a second and then no signal again. I unplugged it from that little extension cable it comes with and it worked perfectly. I guess the cable was faulty. Worth a try if this isn't working for folks :)
This helped, but now it keeps flashing from black screen to "no signal" not sure what the problem is. As you said, it's not the cords because the audio is picked up. It's like it's constantly being disconnected
I solved a slightly different issue using this method with a bit extra: you might have to disable the Elgato audio device in the sound control panel first, or else it will prompt you for a restart. If the sound device is disabled, it lets you disable the capture card without restarting. For me, my issue was just that the passthrough stopped working, possibly due to trying to output a signal of too high a resolution for the device it's outputting to. I'm not sure why it permanently disables passthrough in that situation but it does.
Ah... that's a great question! It depends on your setup. Most dual PC setups are using the NDI plugin for OBS, which sends the screen of your gaming PC (more or less) uncompressed to the streaming PC, which does the streaming. This happens without a capture card, if your network is fast enough. Another option is to capture the gaming PC using a capture card (like the Elgato) on the streaming PC. This means the Elgato card needs to go in the streaming PC. A third option is to use the capture card in the gaming PC, where you may capture a games console, add overlays on the gaming PC, then send the whole thing via NDI to the streaming PC. Tell me more about your setup and I might be able to help you out.
I have the HD60 S+ and picture comes through, however as soon as I plug the HDMI Output cord into my TV it suddenly switches to "No Signal". I unplug it from the TV and signal is back, however I obviously need my TV to have signal in order to play the game.
Damn I have the same issue. I tried both a Nintendo Switch & PS4 Pro as input. And a 1080P tv for output. But there more people with the same issue, but I can’t find a solution. So I sent a support request to Elgato.
So annoying! What console are you capturing? I've found that my PS4 has an extremely flaky output, as does my PS3. I've currently got my Elgato hooked up to a gaming PC (RTX 2080), and its output is rock solid. I never made that connection until recently. I wonder if there's a way to somehow stabilise the console output so the Elgato doesn't freak out so much.
@@WPguru whats annoying is it worked perfectly fine last night. But Today it just flashes 2/3 times then black screen. It says connected but theres no video in OBS or Game Capture HD
@@Zonyx_ no fix, everyone makes long videos just to tell you to unplug and plug back on, I bought it on amazon and since it was a seller not amazon itself it voided the warranty which is crazy since it came from a new un opened container, Ill never get another
Can you go more in depth into explaining the hdmi splitter? I think I'm having an issue with my HD60+ where it shows signal but then stops and freeze the video. I can restart by disconnecting all my wires but it goes back to being frozen not even 10 mins later
Sure, I've used a splitter for the signal coming out of my PS3 to strip out the copy protection and make it capturable. Not every splitter can do this, thankfully mine can. The PS3 signal carries HDCP on its HDMI output, which means recording/capture devices cannot use the signal. Monitors can still display it, quite a clever principle. Without it I cannot capture my PS3. The PS4 and Xbox consoles have an option to enable/disable HDCP, so the Elgatos can only see the signal with it disabled. Try that, maybe it helps. I have found that the HD60 Pro is very stable when connected to a device that's NOT a games console. I currently use it to capture my presentation PC and it never has an issue. However, as soon as I plug in a games console, it starts having problems. Perhaps it's the signal strength, perhaps it's the changing resolutions, or maybe some other bit that's set in the signal.
@@WPguru yeah idk what it could it be. I'm trying to use it for the Nintendo switch and I thought I was doing something wrong but I'm pretty sure it's the HDCP. And I can't find a way to disable it for the Nintendo switch so I may need to look into that hdmi splitter
hey a heads up if u are havin trouble with console capturing or getting a signal flash on then off again especially on ps4 try disabling HCDP its a copyright thing that was enabled on my ps4 causing elgato to lose signal.
I'm getting this when I use an old Chromecast device. It starts with showing the Google logo, and then goes black. It works fine when I plug it into a monitor, but through the HD60 Pro it's a no-go, not with this fix or anything. My guess is that the capture card and/or the Chromecast have old standard HDCP stuff, and it might default to showing nothing.
Finally fixed it minutes later! It wasn't the same as your issue. I had changed the config of my monitors, one of which had been a cloned copy with my Elgato. To separate them into three individual "monitors" I had DEACTIVATED the Elgato in Windows. So I went into NVIDIA and just clicked the unclicked Elgato box. BINGO! It wasn't a mirror any more, which is what I wanted, but it did immediately start working. I did this initially because I wanted to stream from my PC in 1080p BUT I wanted to play on my 4K monitor in 4K, which I couldn't do unless I de-coupled my 4K monitor from my 1080p Elgato. Having my 4K monitor mirroring with the Elgato card capped my MONITOR at 1080p as well from in-game. (The Outer Worlds) So now I can play with my monitor's resolution and step-down the streaming signal to 1080p. YIPPEE!
That's great news! Wow, complex setup you have, but you mastered it like a pro. Back in TV days we had to figure out workflows like that for clients or prestigious live projects - look at us now. We do everything to make our games look great :-) So glad you got it working. And yes, let's start a Retro Team on Twitch!
@@WPguru I'm not sure how to send you a DM on UA-cam. Is that a thing? Cause I wonder if you have an actual PS2 with online capabilities and if we could play some online games together. My initial thought is Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal which can (or could have been) played in co-op! Just the germ of an idea. We could both livestream to our respective channels as well.
I have no signal issues on my hd60 S+. It sometimes shows the game screen for a minute than disappears and says no signal. Sometimes even “device being used by another software” or w.e
This works for the 4K60S+ external as well. I kept rolling the dice powering it down and would get it 20 percent of the time. This helps a lot. I wish they would fix this.
I've been doing this for a while now and decided to streamline the process. I created a script to run that does this for me at the click of a button (a couple clicks anyways). Not that going into the device manager is hard, but a clickable script has been game changing to me. If anybody is interested hope this helps: On Windows, search/open PowerShell ISE and run as administrator Type: Get-PnpDevice -FriendlyName "*Game Capture HD60*" | ft -wrap -autosize instanceid This will give you the Insance ID for the device identified by the Friendly Name. If you have a different Elgato model you can alter that description as needed (look at what it is called in your device manager). The instance ID will be a long text string "PCI\VEN_12AB&D...." about 60 characters long. Open a text file and type: If (-NOT ([Security.Principal.WindowsPrincipal][Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent()).IsInRole([Security.Principal.WindowsBuiltInRole] "Administrator")) { $arguments = "& '" + $myinvocation.mycommand.definition + "'" Start-Process powershell -Verb runAs -ArgumentList $arguments Break } Disable-PnpDevice -InstanceId "INSERT YOUR INSTANCE ID HERE" -confirm:$false Enable-PnpDevice -InstanceId "INSERT YOUR INSTANCE ID HERE" -confirm:$false Save the text file as a .ps1 file. The first part of that script is an If statement checking if powershell is running as admin, and if it isn't it launches again as admin. The second statement disables the elgato. The third enables the elgato again. Now you can right click the .psl file you just created and select "Run with PowerShell" and it will do all this for you. *side note: You will need to allow scripts to run automatically in your system for this to work. To turn this on, open PowerShell as an admin and type: Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned After hitting enter it will give you a few choices, Type: A (Yes to All) Now you can run the script you created.
Hello, on Windows 7, doing this brings up the BSOD (the BSOD happens when I re-enable the device, not when I disable it). So the only way to solve the issue is to reboot the computer. The ElGato developpers are not serious.
Thank you so much for this video. I've done many research and messed with my settings, and for the life of me I could not figure it out! You are a life saver
I have the same issue with the USB-C HD60s card. And this works, while I could just unplug it and plug it back in. but I do agree, this is something that shouldn't even be an issue for an expensive card. hehe I hope they fix it soon. It is 2020 now after all. :)
@@TechDoctorUK I found that going into the properties section of obs on the hd60s and clicking deactivate and then activate seems to work for me. But if it doesn't... manually unplugging and plugging back in again still does the trick. :)
thank u so much! it took me some time to find this! honestly, this is so frustrating that every once in a while I have to encounter this issue with the card!
Hi, I’m using streamlabs obs. I have issues with my game volume being really low when streaming (for viewers) although the setting in streamlabs is at max for the game audio. Any ideas how I can increase the volume please? Also, I was playing quite fine last night seemed to have sorted the little issues other than game volume and I got the no signal on my monitor but I could hear my game through my headset. I changed the hdmi slots around so the capture card was now in the main monitor slot for 4K output and the monitor to Xbox to hdmi 1, this brought the image back on the monitor but changed my colour/image settings and had to play around with that. But then it wasn’t registering game play through streamlabs. I unplugged the capture card, changed the hdmi’s at the back of my console round and restarted streamlabs. There was still no image on the laptop. I will try your step although I am using a MacBook so hoping it has this disable function there. Nonetheless the game volume to my stream is very low and not sure how to improve that?
I don't use Streamlabs OBS. On the regular OBS I'd crank up the volume of the capture device, while carefully watching the levels. If it's not enough, I'd add a Gain Filter and add maybe 8 or 12 dB, that will make it louder. Be careful not to add too much or you'll get distortion.
@@Lady_Royal777 It's personal preference, it'll depend on who you ask I guess. In my opinion OBS is better indeed. In comparison, Streamlabs OBS is essentially the same with added extras and a different skin, I found it buggy and unreliabe. I'd much prefer the lithe version that's developed by the OBS team and add my own overlays as necessary. I would try it out and see which one works better for you. obsproject.com
@@Lady_Royal777 Yes absolutely, the core functionality is the same for both apps. Overlays are just graphics and videos, you'll be able to add them just fine in OBS. You may even be able to export your scenes and import them in OBS. SLOBS has some Streamlabs services pre-configured like alert boxes and such, but they're easy to add with a URL they give you. I have a whole series on getting started with OBS if you're intersted: ua-cam.com/video/0a-2qNbrWeU/v-deo.html
Thank you so much! I had doubts that it wouldn't because it seemed so simple.. and yet here I am extremely grateful I came across this video. You've got yourself a new subscriber, friend!!!
I have an issue where whenever i plug in my elagato and open obs to get ready to start streaming my entire internet goes out ...Why would the elagato mess with anything having to do with internet ?. Anyone else experience this ?
Who could have known that a 5 year old video could still be helping and with PlayStation 5s too! Hahaha WOW! After re-enabling it and giving the computer a reboot all of a sudden it all kicked in. Thanks
Mine keeps randomly cutting out with a black screen, And constantly has little white/green pixels dancing around the screen, Aswell as audio crackles and cut outs
Hello, i have big problem. If i switch monitor output betwen hdmi -> DVI, my elgato capture card lost signal for couple second. I have new pc, and new HDMI. You have any idea howni can fix it?
Depends how you're capturing the footage from your iPad, but my guess is it's the iPad doing too much processing. If you're using this card to capture the signal, then I assume you have a HDMI adapter connected, which means it's twice as much work to render the screen (external and internal). Screen Mirroring is hard work for the poor iOS devices.
My issue is with audio, I use voicemeeter banana and have set it up a few times to to take the sound from my gaming PC to the streaming PC but whenever windows updates it resets everything and I have to do the setup again only this time voicemeeter isn't even picking up the elgato, but in obs I can see what it is capturing but have no audio. Cannot find a fix for this and its really frustrating!
I hear you man, I’ve abandoned Voicemeeter - although it was a nice tool, the audio engine kept crashing randomly, killing audio on my streaming PC. It wasn’t an Elgato problem, it kept doing this on all my PCs. Frustrating indeed!
Mine shut off when I stopped extending displays because I have dont a second monitor, so maybe if yours isnt working try going into diplay and messing with that
I have a feeling it's the console input signal that upsets this card. I've been using it for captuing a PC for over a year and it's been rock solid. The moment I capture either of my Playstations, it starts getting upset.
I’ve tried what you said and I still get no signal. I’m using an HD60 S+. I’ve been working on this for hours now. Is my elgato broken? I’m using windows 10 by the way.
The HD60 S+ is a USB device, while the HD60 is PCIe device, so this remedy might not work. I'd try a different input signal from another device and see if you can capture that. Game consoles have fickle outputs, try a something solid like a laptop or GPU. Also try swapping HDMI cables, they too can be unpredictable. If all that doesn't work either, I'd contact Elgato or get a replacement from the seller.
Whenever I try look for the hd60 in the device manager, it only shows the sound capture programme not the actual driver for the device, I have the cables setup fine but as soon as I plug the last cable in it flashes white then red. Then nothing. What the hell is wrong with his capture card. Nothing but problems.
Hey man, I had to go on the elgato website and download the driver directly from there. I googled elgato hd60 driver and it popped up. Went ahead and installed the driver, restarted my computer (capture card usb unplugged), once PC restarted I plugged in the USB, started the software and the it worked. Maybe see if that works for you as well.
Not having an issue with the video/audio in OBS, but it's not looping back out to my TV. I worked when I first plugged everything in, but after shutting off my PC and restarting, I've got nothing on my TV. Any suggestions?
I’d check if the capture card is getting audio via HDMI. If the source is a Windows PC, you may have to switch it from something like a USB speaker to whatever it sees connected via HDMI (It won’t show the Elgato card, but rather something like your monitor).
@@WPguru , thanks for the tip. I ended up getting it fixed by doing the disable/enable sequence through the device manager. I appreciate you getting back to me, and thanks for the video.👍
DVD players sometimes have HDCP copy protection enabled on their outputs. The Elgato cards don't like it, or rather they "honour" it and display a black picture. I had the same issue when capturing my PS3. What worked for me was to use a HDMI splitter that removes the HDCP. Technically they're illegal to sell, but when I bought mine, this one happened to do the trick: amzn.to/3VZEDPt
@The WP Guru cheers for the reply. I've also now bought a splitter, and it does the trick. The downside is that it drops audio and video momentarily every 10 to 15 seconds or so. I'm looking at the settings in obs, etc. I think it might be down to the length and quality of the hdmi cables.
You really helped me thank you it worked for me now I was wondering what’s the problem then I searched in UA-cam tilll I found you hhhh now I got no signal fixed now I got the audio issues with the chat link I can’t get my voice on my game 🥺
It worked for about 5 minutes but now it says "Game Capture HD60 S needs to be connected to a USB 3.0 port to function properly" I've tried everything to fix this, and yes it's plugged into a 3.0! I can't figure it out!
Just posting this for anyone else who might find it useful. If you're using the 4k60 Pro and getting the black screen all of a sudden, try rolling back your windows updates. This happened to me today and I struggled for hours. Do what is suggested in this video first, then try some of elgato's suggestions: unplugging HDMI cables, cold boot, etc. If they don't work, go back to a windows version that was working.
Do you know how to do it on a MacBook Pro? I’m having the same “no signal” issue but I don’t know how to fix it :( I tried for hours but nothings working, I plugged everything in correctly
Doesn’t work. Any other suggestions? I’ve tried everything I could think of and no one online seems to have posted another alternative to how to fix this. 😫
Assuming the card works fine, try using a different input source. Games consoles are often flaky, or have HDCP (copy protection) enabled and the card doesn't capture those signals. Try the HDMI output of a laptop for example and see if it works in principle. My PS3 was a nightmare to capture, but a HDMI splitter with HDCP removal feature made it work. My PS4/PS5 and PC have to problems.
@@WPguru so I using it on my PC to my monitor. OBS works just fine with it but it’s 4k capture utility specifically that it won’t capture and idk why. Forgot to mention that. My hdmi is going from the HD60Pro output to my monitor.
You can try, but your issue suggests an unstable connection. I'd check the cable and the connectors, perhaps spray some contact cleaner on the plugs and insert them a few times to take off any corrosion. If that doesn't help, it could be an issue with the output from the device you're trying to capture. If this looks stable on a monitor, try adding a splitter or switcher device, this often stabilises a signal from game consoles. Good luck!
DopeAsAWolf yea, I still need a fix. I just got one a few days ago, and it says it needs usb 3.0 even though my computer supports usb 3.0 and in using a usb 3.0 cable. I have a mid 2015 MacBook Pro.

When I plug-in and use my capture card, The monitor that I have the OUT part set remains black and I can’t use that monitor. The software doesn’t even pick it up, is this a problem with my PSU?(RM750x)
The OUT of the Elgato card is just a loop through, so it’ll show whatever is going to the IN port. It’s designed to be in between the source you’re capturing (like a games console, or another PC) and the monitor on which you want to watch it.
Yes that should work, provided you’re sending something on that port. Note that capturing the same PC on which this card is installed is not its intended purpose. It’ll probably work, but you’re better off letting your GPU do the capturing. This card is intended to capture external HDMI sources.
Yup, 2023 and it's still a problem. I'd say maybe it's my splitter that I'm using but at the same time it does work after enough fiddling. I just shouldn't have to go through this much trouble to get it working.

It says connected but theres no video in OBS or Game Capture HD
can confirm, even on windows 7 this fix still works as just had the error pop up today, your a legend mate. :)
So just to make sure I heard you right. I need a HDMI splitter to capture my PS3 if I want to do that in the future?
Yes anything that strips out the HDCP. The one I liked in the description did this, I hope it’s still available.
Very helpful, this fixed my issue! I had the same problem with the Camlink 4K so this solution works for it as well. Thanks!
bro you are a boss literally solved my problem and now im back and up with no issues thank you!!
You saved my life. Thank you very much from Brazil.
11/22/2020 and im still getting it as well.
thank you very much imma recommend this to anyone else having issues!!!!
fix does not work
It didn't work for me either, have u figured it out?
@@Zonyx_ no fix, everyone makes long videos just to tell you to unplug and plug back on, I bought it on amazon and since it was a seller not amazon itself it voided the warranty which is crazy since it came from a new un opened container, Ill never get another
OH MY GOD. Someone give this man a fucking reward! My issue is finally fixed!
2021 and this still happens and your fix works :) I did have to readd the source in OBS. Thanks for the video.
Thank you so much man, annoying we have to do this but it worked!!!!
I wish they would fix this.
what about if we have the portable HD60 models? where would I find it in the device manager
I’m not sure, I’d try the same place first, and if it’s not there it might be under USB devices.
I've been doing this for a while now and decided to streamline the process.
I created a script to run that does this for me at the click of a button (a couple clicks anyways).
Not that going into the device manager is hard, but a clickable script has been game changing to me.
If anybody is interested hope this helps:
On Windows, search/open PowerShell ISE and run as administrator
Type: Get-PnpDevice -FriendlyName "*Game Capture HD60*" | ft -wrap -autosize instanceid
This will give you the Insance ID for the device identified by the Friendly Name. If you have a different Elgato model you can alter that description as needed (look at what it is called in your device manager).
The instance ID will be a long text string "PCI\VEN_12AB&D...." about 60 characters long.
Open a text file and type:
If (-NOT ([Security.Principal.WindowsPrincipal][Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent()).IsInRole([Security.Principal.WindowsBuiltInRole] "Administrator"))
{
$arguments = "& '" + $myinvocation.mycommand.definition + "'"
Start-Process powershell -Verb runAs -ArgumentList $arguments
Break
}
Disable-PnpDevice -InstanceId "INSERT YOUR INSTANCE ID HERE" -confirm:$false
Enable-PnpDevice -InstanceId "INSERT YOUR INSTANCE ID HERE" -confirm:$false
Save the text file as a .ps1 file.
The first part of that script is an If statement checking if powershell is running as admin, and if it isn't it launches again as admin.
The second statement disables the elgato. The third enables the elgato again.
Now you can right click the .psl file you just created and select "Run with PowerShell" and it will do all this for you.
*side note:
You will need to allow scripts to run automatically in your system for this to work.
To turn this on, open PowerShell as an admin and type: Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned
After hitting enter it will give you a few choices, Type: A (Yes to All)
Now you can run the script you created.
Thank you so much for sharing this!
I think you meant .PS1 file not .psl
@@anthonyreyes8637 Ha! yes, I did. At least I know now that some people read through this. I corrected it to avoid future confusion.
when i go to sound/video in device manager there is no game capture hd60 pro i have my elgato connected properly tho cuz it gets audio in obs
Fix still works and Thank you for the help.
thank you 🙏🏻 this video was very helpful
Hello, on Windows 7, doing this brings up the BSOD (the BSOD happens when I re-enable the device, not when I disable it). So the only way to solve the issue is to reboot the computer. The ElGato developpers are not serious.
It’s crazy, isn’t it? And they keep selling this thing as a 4K version with the same issues.
i have same issue, constantly need to unplug the usb type-c cable and plug it back in - otherwise i see no input. Any updates ?
@@WPguru ok thank you. Is OBS better to use than streamlabs?
@@Lady_Royal777 It's personal preference, it'll depend on who you ask I guess. In my opinion OBS is better indeed. In comparison, Streamlabs OBS is essentially the same with added extras and a different skin, I found it buggy and unreliabe. I'd much prefer the lithe version that's developed by the OBS team and add my own overlays as necessary. I would try it out and see which one works better for you. obsproject.com
@@WPguru I installed overlays from streamlabs library for £19. Can I add these in OBS do you know? Thanks again ☺️
I am having the exact same issue, only when i disable the device it asks me to restart, if i say no the procedure doesnt work.
Still no fix for this 😞
Who could have known that a 5 year old video could still be helping and with PlayStation 5s too! Hahaha WOW! After re-enabling it and giving the computer a reboot all of a sudden it all kicked in. Thanks
i'm still having issues with this and i've tried ALL methods and it still doesn't work
Have u figured it out? If so please help
Thanks, helped with my HD60S+ too
I have some challenges that the output "lags" with sound and video when I stream from my iPad Pro. any tips?
Depends how you're capturing the footage from your iPad, but my guess is it's the iPad doing too much processing. If you're using this card to capture the signal, then I assume you have a HDMI adapter connected, which means it's twice as much work to render the screen (external and internal). Screen Mirroring is hard work for the poor iOS devices.
Experienced the same issue on the HD60 S. Saved me some trouble. Thanks!
Worked, thank you. Must be getting confused when I am switching my HDMI sources.
Thank you so much!!!! Nothing was working and this fixed it immediately, thank you!!
Whenever I try look for the hd60 in the device manager, it only shows the sound capture programme not the actual driver for the device,
I have the cables setup fine but as soon as I plug the last cable in it flashes white then red. Then nothing.
What the hell is wrong with his capture card. Nothing but problems.
Hey man,
I had to go on the elgato website and download the driver directly from there. I googled elgato hd60 driver and it popped up. Went ahead and installed the driver, restarted my computer (capture card usb unplugged), once PC restarted I plugged in the USB, started the software and the it worked. Maybe see if that works for you as well.
I'm having a stuck on preparing to repair or something in my boot up screen. Please help this is ridiculous
Issue is still happening 2023 and this workaround does not work (on my pc)
It didn't work for me either, have u figured it out?
Have been scouring UA-cam looking for an answer to this problem. Thank you - this worked.
I have a h60 running from a dvd recorder. I have an hdmi splitter but can still get no signal. Do you have anymore advice? Cheers.
Fixes the same issue with the 4k60 Pro Mk.2 :) Thanks for this video.
Awesome, thanks for letting me know. I was wondering if those had the same issue, and if this trick would fix it.
You really helped me thank you it worked for me now I was wondering what’s the problem then I searched in UA-cam tilll I found you hhhh now I got no signal fixed now I got the audio issues with the chat link I can’t get my voice on my game 🥺
I'm still having the no signal issue.... ever since I reinstalled Windows it just isn't working and says NO SIGNAL every time.
It worked for about 5 minutes but now it says "Game Capture HD60 S needs to be connected to a USB 3.0 port to function properly" I've tried everything to fix this, and yes it's plugged into a 3.0! I can't figure it out!
I have 7 red lights on my elgato random times and then i have freeze in my gameplay. i use elgato hd60s+ onnly for my camera
Thanks dude this helped me out a bunch was sick of restarting my pc to get it to detect when I wanted to make a video for my channel

I had the same problem, and found out I had to install the driver for the HD60 pro. The driver is on there website
Sadly it doesn’t resolve this issue.
The WP Guru It resolved my issue
Do you know how to do it on a MacBook Pro? I’m having the same “no signal” issue but I don’t know how to fix it :( I tried for hours but nothings working, I plugged everything in correctly
Sadly no, I have a Mac but this card won't fit in it (it's a Mac Mini).
@@WPguru it’s alright I fixed the issue! The tv was connected to the outport instead of the import 😂
Good evening sir i have Elgato hd60S+ every 2 minutes the screen goes and give me no signal is it the same way to fix ?
You can try, but your issue suggests an unstable connection. I'd check the cable and the connectors, perhaps spray some contact cleaner on the plugs and insert them a few times to take off any corrosion. If that doesn't help, it could be an issue with the output from the device you're trying to capture. If this looks stable on a monitor, try adding a splitter or switcher device, this often stabilises a signal from game consoles. Good luck!
Thank you very much
I'm on mac, any chance you have any fixes for that? Its really frustrating how many problems ive had with the elgato.

The WP Guru but I heard that I can just plug my GPU into the IN port and set the OUT port to my monitor, that’s what random frank p did
Yes that should work, provided you’re sending something on that port. Note that capturing the same PC on which this card is installed is not its intended purpose. It’ll probably work, but you’re better off letting your GPU do the capturing. This card is intended to capture external HDMI sources.
The WP Guru alrighty, thanks
Your video solved my issue I had with the Elgato card. Thanks a bunch!
Yup, 2023 and it's still a problem. I'd say maybe it's my splitter that I'm using but at the same time it does work after enough fiddling.
I just shouldn't have to go through this much trouble to get it working.
