Blake please see if something has changed bc I have done everything you said and still I’ll see it for a second then it disappears and if I plug my ps4 in np whatever but ps5 it’s not working
This is a really late reply, but I plan on streaming mostly games on the ps5 and switch. I'm using my TV to see gameplay, and have a monitor to view OBS. I really need to get a desk soon to make everything more organized. I left another comment that detailed an issue I ran into while fixing the issue, which I hope will help others with troubleshooting. will hopefully check your stream out soon if you're still streaming!
I spent so much time ensuring cabling, changing settings, seeing one static image come up, trying other HDMI cables, making sure things worked with other consoles, power cycling everything, updating drivers....one minute and you got me squared away. Thumbs all the way up, know that you made someone smile today.
Thanks man. I was going crazy. Thought it may have been the cables...but even after forcing the PS5 into outputting 1080P, it still didn't work despite my Nintendo Switch working without issue. It was the 4K transfer rate. Automatic wouldn't show it on both OBS or the TV. -1 brought the signal to the TV but not OBS. -2 worked for both. You saved my liver from extra whiskey. Much appreciated.
You... my friend... are a God dam superhero. I knew I was having issues somewhere between the output and my monitor, so I figure the Hz were off to the point where it kept saying out of range. I never thought the issue could be fixed within the PS5. To which all I did was change the resolution to 1080p. Thank you, sir. Thank you. I shall never forget you...
I was getting no signal to my TV because when my PS5 got connected to my PC monitor, the PS5 let me set up HDR since my monitor has HDR and my TV doesn't. Once I switched the setting off it finally worked on my TV. I was on here to find a solution, so this is to whoever comes across this problem as well.
@zyshunn I turned off HDR in the PS5 settings I don't have a PS5 anymore so I can't be specific. I connected it back to my monitor where it was last working.
You really saved my day! I was afraid I wouldn't be able to stream Spiderman 2 today. I just wanted to recommend that people make sure they have their HDMI cables plugged into the proper ports. I was plugging and unplugging the cables to change settings and must have gotten the in and out ports swapped around. disabling HDCP solved the issue.
Bro, you just solved a problem. I have been looking on the Internet for three days for and you had fixed a problem that I didn’t even knew I had. Thank you so much.
TY for this video. Google searches turned up nothing. stumbled across it at random. the content protection setting was what got me. Was infuriating for the better part of 10 minutes!
I been having having alot of problem with the Flickering and its been heart breaking , I hope this works, I was days from buying a new capture card and hope that was the problem.
@@steadychaosproductions3376 thanks for the reply! I actually just got a HDMI 2.1 cable in, and tried to at it from there. The HD60S+ held onto the image longer, but still was intermittent. I then went into the PS5 and down res'd to 1080p and everything works now. Its super weird, to say the least. But going from 12 gbps (hdmi 2.0) to 48 gbps (hdmi 2.1) still wasn't enough to have it receive the 4K signal. But somehow the 1080p is too much for the 2.0, but now works fine with the 2.1 cable from the PS5. It is possible that the PS5 is natively sending somewhere between 12-48 gbps, regardless of the output resolution. But that the HD60S+ can only take in between 12-30~, given the issues that we are seeing.
@@thePOWERdad yeah, the HD60S+ is only an HDMI 2.0 device, and as such, can only handle 18Gbps. The 60S+ worked for me as well when I switched the res to 1080p, but who wants to play at 1080p on a 4k console? Setting the transfer rate on the PS5 to -1 or -2 is supposed to fix bandwidth issues with 2.0 recording devices like the 60S+ by engaging chroma subsampling. Unfortunately, this didn't work with my 60S+ either, so I just moved on to a different recording device.
Thanks for the info bro. The tip on 4K transfer was my issue. Was getting signal on Mac but not the monitor I’m using for TV (onn) and Had to go to -2 to get signal on my monitor. Thanks again
Great! Many thanks. Elgato website has an article about Ps5 and elgato and only talks about going into screen and video and lowering the 4K transfer rate value to -2 but never mentions this HDCP setting so I was confused, changed the HDMI cables several times too. Thanks :)
For those connecting to a 4K monitor with and HD60S; found a huge issue where the provided HDMI cable from elgato was not sufficient. Swapped it to one suited for 4K and fixed the issue
This was great information but for me I have to put my ps5 resolution to 1080p instead of 2160p to be able to see it on my elgato capture card But I mean if it shows on OBS which I haven’t tried yet then I guess it’s not a big deal Any tips ?
Appreciate you dude! I am running into a black screen on 4K elgato capture once I load COD MWII, whilst ever other game of mine works fine through Elgato capture and Streamlabs etc - I've been researching everything! Just wondering if you have any ideas dude!?
Thank you for this video. Even after 3 years the video still helps (me in that case) but the HDCP states that when it's deactivated some games and apps cannot be used anymore. Does this really effect some games in anyway or form?
Hi, nice video, but in my case didn't work. I do Have a Elgato Cam Link 4K video Capture, and it was working fine and without any changes , stop working i try to get support from Elgato, but do not be able to get any answer from theme. Can you make tutorial explaining few problems like i saying? Thanks
I tried all the solutions. Turned off HDCP, set resolution on PS5 to 1080p, turned off HDR, disabled and enabled the capture card on my PC, and still nothing. My last desperate attempt is to buy a 4k HDMI cable. I get the audio fine, but the picture is not showing up on my Elgato software
I don't know if it's because the PS5 has been updated so many times by now, but neither of these options fixed my issue. I still get no signal to either my tv or obs. I've also tried messing with other settings like HDR and even resolution like other comments have said. Any advice?
Mines flickering but it’s doesn’t have the 4k option available I’m even watching your video with my dongle plug into it but for some reason the ps5 at first wouldn’t even show anything and now it’s flickering like u said but when I plug the tv I’m using it doesn’t have that option available and I’ve tried it on two different ones
hey so my monitor does the off and on thing but it doesnt support 4k it to my knoledge is only happening on mw2 on 120 hz any fix that wont make me change the 120hz
I have the ELGATO hd60x and I’ve tried everything with my Samsung odyssey 49’ curved monitor. My screen stills fades in and out when trying to play MW2
Thanks for watching! Do you plan on streaming from the PS5? What is your set up like? Let us know!
Blake please see if something has changed bc I have done everything you said and still I’ll see it for a second then it disappears and if I plug my ps4 in np whatever but ps5 it’s not working
Ill try to look into it soon won't be able to for a couple days tho tbh.

What about for xbox and having the flickering issues?

youre a beast. a lot of people are not explaining this most important step while doing the same video as you. hats off to you big men.

Had the same issue and I when I change to -2 OBS capture card recognize it! Thanks guys!
Bruh I swear this is going to blow up when everyone gets a ps5
Haha that'd be nice!

Just fired up my new ps5 for the 1st time to prepare for FF16 stream. This helped out 100%, thank you!
Thanks for the resolution. My game and web cam capture kept causing OBS to crash. This video saved me from countless more hours of troubleshooting.
I been having having alot of problem with the Flickering and its been heart breaking , I hope this works, I was days from buying a new capture card and hope that was the problem.
Disabling DHCP and running the OBS as administrator fixed the issue. Thanks.

Same issue here. Would love to hear any solutions with the HD60S+ if anyone gets it working.
