Finally. This is the 3rd of 4th video I saw before someone said it's a *macro keyboard.* So many annoying "creators" on UA-cam trying to get past 10 min of video that they can't just quickly explain what the thing is. Thank you!
all these UA-camrs make 10 minutes video, because that used to be the sweet spot for getting most revenue / clicks or whatever. So there is a lot of bla bla added everywhere to stretch these videos unnecessarily. I'm sure YT has become smarter now as not to reward these tactics any longer.
Nice video I finally understand what that thing actually is. So many people talk about it and it had always confused me. Now I see how streamers hide their screen and transition from different camera angles. Thanks
You can do all of those things w/o a StreamDeck and not necessarily everyone you see with transitions, stingers, or animations has one :P It does streamline the processes a lot, though.
Every OBS control can easily be performed with any generic macro pad. But yes, the Elgato tax does offer screens for each button. Obviously there are pros and cons you should weigh. Not the least of which, I'm sure, is the price.
I bought one of these last week with the idea of using it for programming the buttons for flight sim key commands. Not only does it do that well, I've also set up profiles for my favourite historical wargames and my I.T./programming studies. Making custom icons is a piece of cake too. This is one of the best peripheral purchases I've ever made.
Seriously, same here. I figure if you're going to be spending 8 hours or even more on your computer, that you probably have multiple tasks that can be made much easier with one of these. A much cleaner direct macros setup.
The Stream Deck is incredibly useful. My music teacher uses it to control his software so he doesn’t need to touch the keyboard or mouse often. But it is expensive. For those that can’t afford a Stream Deck, I’ve found the Touch Portal app to be a good alternative if you don’t mind getting into details and doing the nitty-gritty of setting it up from scratch yourself.
In case y'all see this, Elgato Stream Deck software is available on the Play store and only cost $3 USD a month. All the same functionality, can use the XL board, and takes 3 years to reach the cost of the smallest physical stream deck. I use my tablet to switch my scenes and such during streams and have a collection of Macros for editing.
i'm really looking forward to more (real) compaction entering the market, so the prices come down. stream decks are absolutely awesome, but they are painfully overpriced considering the simplicity of the hardware and software, and the mediocre build quality/materials. The price exists solely because there isn't any real competition, and the stream decks are handy enough they can get away with it
What a concise and useful report. No BS. Clear and fair assessment and suggestions. Thanks. I'd always wanted a system control panel for Startrek and similar games (arm / launch torpedoes, com PTT button, Sensor scan etc) since I bought them in the 80s - but the tech then had 8x8 or so resolution on programmable buttons and I'd have to write code to control and use them. This looks very cool for business and fun. I expect to see how it does with my DAW for music production. p.s. your knife looks scary sharp.
I use the stream deck in the live production industry (audio, video and lighting for speaking events and concerts) paired with the AMAZING open source stream deck software called companion. With companion and the stream deck, I can basically run a whole show by myself. It’s incredible. I can’t recommend this product enough.
Just watching this video after ordering the MK2, Sounds like Elgato listens to consumers and reviews as they seem to have implemented quite a few of the improvements you suggested e.g removable cable, more sturdy stand etc. Good job with the channel, watched lots of your RGB videos and always find them informative and professional 👍🏼
Great Video. I'm still struggling to find good uses for this device, even as a part-time streamer. The website links you show kind of make sense, but then again i always have my browser open anyways. The buttons to open folders and software is a pretty nice idea and saves at least a little bit of time
As a streamer, and mod in 22 channels, and variety gamer. I use the Stream Deck 2 for EVERYTHING, launching games, audio balancing (as per game to game varies)... A LOT! I use it for moderator tools on Twitch, I see when people go live, viewer count, I also got is set to see when my fav youtubers post something. And I use it for in game shortcuts. ABS, TCS, lights, brake bias, etc in racing sims. I am also currently setting it up for changing classes on cod. I must say though, I have programmed well over 300 buttons, and I have barely had a break since Sunday. (Currently 3:40 am Thursday...) BUT, in the long run, this will save me countless hours, 100% worth it!
As a draftsman, I'm very interested in using this as a macro board, as an alternative to all the typed commands in AutoCAD, or second screen full of tool palettes...
@@santiago4120 Same. I ended up getting one for CAD, and it’s really helpful. Also have it set up with command keys that pop up for other applications now, as well as a main deck to quickly access most used applications and commands on the computer
It's amazing for Acad, Microstation, Fusion, Revit, Navisworks, Solidworks, etc. I'm using it on all. Creating AutoCAD scripts is easy using the multi-key.
I set up a bunch of hotkeys for my mage in WoW. Teleport folder with all the cities, Portal folder for all the cities, conjure food/water, crafting etc. It allowed me to completely remove two action bars -making the in game UI A LOT cleaner.
I've had the 15-button version for a long time and I later upgraded to the 32-button version. I did that because i play a lot of shortcut-heavy games like satisfactory, factorio, elite dangerous and so on. As a shortcut keyboard in games, it is at least worth every penny twice over! You can also have it switch to layouts when you focus on a program like a game or a video editor. This makes it even more fun if you use multible softwares at the same time. ;-)
Just a heads up, got one yesterday and there is actually 8 different heights. There is 2 additional legs in the back of the stand for shorter heights if you don't like it at a sharper angle.
If I ever get a designated gaming space/setup for DND home games, I think this could serve a lot of functionality towards that as well. Being able to change lighting and music on a whim, or creating presets for them, seems pretty cool to me.
Excellent. Thank you for explaining. I agree with the manufacturer though or NOT having a removable cable. Moved around, stressing the contacts, dust contamination etc. and eventually there would be more problems then its worth.
It's very useful as a macro pad for sure! I mainly use mine for website shortcuts, controlling my lights as well, OBS for recordings and scene switching, and miscellaneous things additional actions come with, like CPU usage, mouse coordinates, and the color of the current pixel. I haven't thought of using it to launch programs yet, so I will definitely consider trying that eventually and other things that look useful. I currently hit the Windows key and quickly type in the program without thinking about it and AutoHotkey for common programs and shortcuts using my left hand. Would also consider it as well.
Honestly this is so useful for just about everyone. Works super well for editing videos or just launching games/opening websites. The Folders, Icons, and Everything is so useful. Great Review.
for me i got it for controlling shadowplay, obs, hue, opening programs and dedicated media controls in a smaller easier to see for my eyes at least formfactor.
I'm honestly surprised you don't have more subs. This is very well done. I bought a Stream Deck XL last week, and wish you had an affiliate link for that one. You've earned my sub.
Where a stream deck will absolutely help is if you are suffering from RSI ( repetitive strain injury) or mouse arm . Especially when using windows the stream deck will reduce the amount of clicks tremendously.. I used to have this problem 10 or more years ago and used a software called hot key, which sort of did the same thing .it might even still exest
Very Excited for mine, currently waiting for it to be delivered. I don't do any streaming just video editing. Super stoked to get organized. Thanks for a great video!
I was this close to getting the XL but I didn't know you could open folders within the buttons, total game changer and I'll save a few bucks. Thanks for the review!
Took the words right out of my mouth, This device is the quick launch king while at the same time adding sexy flair to your gaming setup. Instead of having 500+ icons littering my screen and tie up my 2 side docks, I can use this to launch Games, Play music, Open folders I need for Modding, Tools etc... This dock pays for itself in convince instantly.
Great review of the Elgato Stream Deck. Narration is spot on and to the point, covers pretty much all aspects and is honest throughout. Seems there are many actions and ideas it can be used for. Now I want one!
I just bought one for my livestreams. I heard that it was a extra luxuory though. First when I started streaming, not knowing about what I need and had to do, I bought one, but I send it back, because I thought it was an actual capture card. But, now that I got my Holliday pay I was like ''we're not going on vacation this year, so might as well buy myself a stream deck now''. So I did. I kinda was affraid that only 16 buttons wouldn't be enough. I have a lot of sounds that I use on my streams (meme's mostly). But I also heard that you were able to make maps, and sub maps or somethang. So I was kinda lookin' for a video where it all got explained, and not only from livestream perspective, but also from different perspective like this video. So thanks a bunch for the clear explanation, I really appreciate it. It was a clear explanation. I also have one (actually three, but it's all on one lamp) Philips Hue, and I often use it when it get's dark in here so people can still see me. And like you said, I have to pull out my phone (which I often use to watch my own livestreams to see what's up) and open Hue app and so on. I will get it tomorrow (it's on its way for delivery) so that's why I wanted to look more into it. My memes are now on my keyboard. I use all of my number keys on the right, and some trigger stuff on my stream (scenes) and if I wanna share my livestream for example on Facebook, I often type stuff like ''We just went live my guy, come hang with us, send us your own levels, make us suffer and have a laugh''. But imagine me typing this, while you watch my livestream, and I have memes and sounds under the following keys; a, e, i, o, u, w, q, n, b, y, t, l, k and more... This makes a lot of noize...! So I bet the streamdeck will come in handy :)
@@astollie Hey Arthur, thanks for your reply b. Well, to be very honest. The stream deck really is an blessing for my streams! Now I have a lotta commands and triggers and sounds from the soundboard on it, multi actions, shoutouts for other channels that visit me, raid button for when we raid other channels and so on. It is definitely a great help. Its way better than using my keyboard haha. Using all my stuff is super eazy now, and it makes it also a lot more professional than my keyboard making all kinds of noises when I type stuff hihi. So if you haven't got one yet, and you're thinking about buying one, it is a true help, so I'd recommend them to everyone for sure.
@@PRGames_ Thanks for your reply. Indeed I am orienting myself to this utility. Actually by surprise. I am not a streamer, so I had ignored some post on hardware info about the streaming deck. A week ago I have bought the K95 keyboard from Corsair. My idea was to lighten up the keys I use as a shortkey in various programs. I am a fan of macros, and I made some macros in autohotkey, some of which are quite advanced and elaborate. By highlighting the keys per programme I could find them more easily. Then I saw that the K95 has 6 extra hardkeys on the board, and so that appeared handy to me. I decided to give that a try. When I started to configure those keys I encountered this option to use the Stream Deck Software... Holy shit, a new world of possibilities opened up to me! I am super enthousiastic, and I think one should go for the real thing the 32 keys XL, although, I think it is overpriced. So I a now in a doubt as well about the investment, as well to safe myself spending a day on programming something, saving just seconds. Although I must say the fun in the esthetics of working flowless has a value by itself. At this moment I decided I will do a step by step approach. I will go on configuring the hardware keys on my K95 (talking about esthetics, it's a christmas tree on your desk if you want.). Learning to use the Stream Desk software. In the meanwhile instead of having the icons on the keys on the Stream Desk have the 6 icons on my screen. I'll start using it in Zoom during the classes I give. I fancy I may end up soon buying the Stream Desk XL, when this proves helpful.
@@astollie Yeah for macro's it's indeed better to have a keyboard who has that option. I'm not really into macro's myself. Although, I do have some specific programs on my keyboard for my games sometimes (for example, Command & Conquer which is a very old game, but still gold! I use it to press F buttons once, and make the program build 100 tanks at once, instead of that I have to press it 100 times myself 😹 I use the SteelSeries Apex3 keyboard). The Stream Deck is indeed super dope. Although, and even if I want the 32 key myself too, I do think it's an overkill. Unless you have enough money, and are like ''okay, not sure what to do with these €500 (I live in the Netherlands, so we have Euro's) that I have here''. The 15 key stream deck (which I have) has infinite options already. I mean, just make maps under maps under maps under maps, and you can go on like this forever haha. It's endlessly for as far as I know. Although, 32 keys would be a little more easy to find stuff of course. But as you already said, it is overpriced. And I agree with that haha. One day I do hope to get one as well. But, when the price is right. And also, my 15 keys Stream Deck is not broken yet. So I ain't really in need for another one. Once it breaks I do think I will be buying the XL as well. Because, well, it does have it's pros of course. Good to hear you're also happy with the Stream Deck. For myself, I can't imagine a stream without my Stream Deck anymore. Even my viewers know when and how I use it haha. Besides, it is fun for my son as well. He is 9, and he often is in my stream too, he often aks me ''dad, can I press memes again?'' It's cute, and fun. It's a little different with a keyboard. I didn't want him to have my keyboard, because this could also trigger other stuff when pressed the wrong button. Imagine him ending my stream with my keyboard for example. Not even sure if this is possible (never tried it). But it would suck big time haha. So, even the 6 keys would be great, because the options are endless. I got the 15 keys, which is super dope! I want the XL one day, but when the price is right. And it might be overkill. But hey, if you have enough, why not right? 🤗 Enjoy the Stream Deck hihi.
@@PRGames_ Thanks for your reaction. I fiddled a bit with the G keys on my keyboard and noticed the ease of finding a hardware key. I appreciate the ease of Elgato software. Then this night I realised that on a working day I am moving 40 times or more to my outlook agenda and mail. I decided that a key for that really would alleviate my working day. I go for it. I just ordered the XL, so I got some extras and go for the real stuff. Wha I am excited! Trouwens, 500 euro is echt overdreven. Ik heb hem net als retouritem bij Bol besteld voor 236 euro. Dank je voor je info!
This is pretty much how I use mine, a tip for Premiere is you can use multi-actions for things like changing clip speeds. I just set this up on mine and it simply presses Ctrl + R, types the speed numbers and presses return. Now I have a selection of buttons for five different clip speeds, saves a lot of time if you're making regular changes.
I use it for Autocad, Revit and Microstation as well as gaming and other programs. It's the best macro system out there and worth every bit if the price and I had it for over 3 years. You can create scripts using the muli-key function. I love it so much I have the XL for home and the 15 button for work.
Thanks for making this video! Been thinking about buying one but I want to use it for more than just streaming. Excited to give it a go with video editing!
I just got my first Stream Deck for Christmas, I'm not a stream so seeing what you use it for has given me some exctra ideas to fill my spare keys up with. Great video 👍
I've bought a XL the other day, mainly for flight sim games, was a cheaper and more versatile way to get buttons for flight simulators, some equipment costs hella lot, but I'm looking forward to using it in some different games, I've already been amazed by the simple switching between audio outputs and inputs :D
I have the smallest one with 6 buttons and I love it. 100% is one of the best things I have ever bought for my setup even tho I don't stream. My favorite features are the days untill and a count down timer. With the days untill I can setup for example my birthday and I will know how many days are left for my birthday:) I have set the count down timer to: 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 mins, so I click for example 10 mins and an alarm goes off ones its done. One thing that isn't really good is that after having the stream deck for a while the buttons stop being sensetive (atleast for me), so sometimes when I click a button it doesn't react. But apart from that I really recommend it😁
I got a Stream Deck to help with streams, but am just as if not more excited for the endless possibilities it has for me outside of being live, this video is exactly what I was thinking!
How do you add the Task Manager to the stream deck? Specifically create a shortcut to show the CPU Usage in task manager on the Stream Deck Please help thank you
I use mine for war thunder for gaming. Far too many keys to remember in that game and so many I use to not even bother biding them before. Now I have them all visually displayed at 1 press of a button on my xl version. Totally missed opportunity not having this pushed for gaming imo.
Good job! FYI, the 32-key Stream Deck XL come with a removable, braided USB cord so perhaps Elgato responded to your criticism of the built-in cable on the 15-key version.
Forgot I had stream deck mobile yearly subscription, saw this vid in my recommendations and finally put the app to good use. It's definitely in the age of multiple zoom meetings a day, and even more so for me personally as I have a 60% keyboard. Really appreciate the helpful tips and demos!
Thanks for your open and honest presentation. As I am a non-streamer, I haven't given much ( if any ) consideration to Stream Deck. Your presentation has piqued my interest and I will give it further consideration. It certalinly looks cool!
I understand exactly what you mean regarding problems work the 15-key model...flimsy stand, cable sticking straight out the back (thus 'up' into the air when placed on the stand), the less-then-stellar build quality, etc. However, with the larger XL (ie. the 32-key model), those problems are (almost entirely) solved - the stand is VERY solid, the cable is removable, the build quality appears to be at least somewhat better...and, you get more than double the number of keys (instead of 5x3, it has an 8x4 layout). At $150 USD, the 15-key model is a bit pricy ($10/key). While $100 more, on a per-key cost, the 32-let model ends up being only $7.81/key. I could k possibly see someone getting the standard model for "general purpose" use. I can even see handsets getting it for quicker key-combos (which is probably why Corsair bought the company). But, when it comes to things like photo/video editing, and other similar applications (Illustrator, ProTools, etc), I can very easily see where the 32-key XL model would come in handy. Now...excuse me while I search out availability of the Stream Deck XL.
I forgot to drop a comment last night! What a brilliant video! So much better than that half hour essay on programming one of these things! Someone was selling an old TV mixing desk but I knew there was a better product! I plan to use it to switch cameras on OBS... Going to go and research that now!
I just got a mini to use with my trivia hosting to add fun sound effects, and also automate music playing and pausing during the question timer. It's literally a game changer
i just bought one to use for editing and recording videos. I'm looking forward to it coming in the mail. Surprised you only have 57k subs, deserve more!
this thing is awesome ! i use two, 15 button and 32 button. 32 butotn is myt primsry, i use it for playing diablo2, elite, and any other games i have. i have icons for the keys, pjhotoshoip[ to do all my buittons with. i can hit one button to select all text ion the field, copy, tab to next field, hit enter. with ONE button. i also work with wood, so i can easiily build cradles to hold it at a particular angle. and YES.. you NEED a stream deck. got a homepage rigth there on your desk, go where you want when you want.
Thanks for the video. I plan to use alongside my Roland DJ-808 controller to map some of the Serato DJ Pro controls that are not available on the DJ controller itself and maybe with Ableton Live DAW. Also could be used for my flight simulator home cockpit. As you say it is essentially just a (very powerful) macro keypad that can be used for any keyboard shortcut, program launch, text entry etc etc.
I am toying with the idea of using mine with an old laptop tucked away, to use with the smart home. One to turn the aquarium lights on, one to turn on outside lights, one to turn on and off heating, etc. . .
I don't stream or game - using one for work - controlling my estimating software and I also plan to setup Outlook fast actions and Excel/Work shortcuts too
Not sure if it's already been mentioned, but the stand actually has 4 more angles (8 total), but they are rather low. You use the smaller little stand things only :)
If your not a streamer you can still use it to unmute mute mic open up games in just a press of a button open up your media with 15 slots or you can buy one with more
Thanks for this vid. I was considering purchasing one of these for my adult daughter, who isn't a streamer. She had this on her Christmas wish list and I was trying to figure out why she'd want one of these.
Got it for discord, Autocad, and other programs I utilize. My desktop is my workstation, as well as my gaming platform; and I want to make ease of access simpler
Loving my deck already. I have it set to pull up my security cameras when I hear the chimes go off. It's surprisingly faster than the app I have on my phone.
The stream Deck is amazing for simulators, like farming and Euro truck simulator 2. And my keyboard doesn't have a fn lock so I have a lot of keyboard shortcuts for like system volum up/down and so on. Super useful device
You should look into Touch Portal. Since it's an app, there are no physical buttons. On the other hand, you can turn any tablet into a large macro pad.
For productivity some high-end logitech keyboards come with in-built dedicated programmable macro buttons, you can configure using logitech hub software. It's pretty much similar for basic use cases. Given the money, it seems a better option if you're not a hardcore streamer and don't need some sort of mobility. I use it for instance to launch apps, few web links and I'm not even using 20% of the potential.
A lot of editors use it. Many people use it for all sorts of tools. Would be great for an excel pro. Its not just for streaming. Thats just the brand name
You can have more than just 4 settings of angle, you actually have 9. Four angles using the "long legs", four angles using the "2 short legs" plus the ZERO angle, wich is all legs down.
Question: Does the deck detect which program you are currently using and does it change its buttons accordingly? I mean, when in Photoshop, I need other button-assignments then in MS Word, and it would be very convenient if you don't have to manually change the button-set when you switch from one program yo another.
I think I would wait till a V2 to get one, I'd like to see a removable type C cable and a capacitive scroll bar on the sides, that way you could have a list of commands without having to make multiple taps through folders and just scroll through instead.
I always struggled to open a particular sheet in Google Sheets. This does it beautifully. Also really good for people with memory problems who still want to use a computer.....

As a draftsman, I'm very interested in using this as a macro board, as an alternative to all the typed commands in AutoCAD, or second screen full of tool palettes...
One step ahead of you. It’s amazing with AutoCAD
Thank you! This is a question i have been asking myself for a while, purchased
I set up a bunch of hotkeys for my mage in WoW.
Teleport folder with all the cities, Portal folder for all the cities, conjure food/water, crafting etc.
It allowed me to completely remove two action bars -making the in game UI A LOT cleaner.
This was incredibly helpful. I don't stream, but sit in-front of my computer most of the day. This is a fantastic setup.
Damn good video and perspective! Hotkeys for every aspect of your pc, I love it!
I have an XL on the way. Apparently the XL has significantly improved on the original in many ways.
how so
@@rasga6598 It just has more buttons not more features
If I ever get a designated gaming space/setup for DND home games, I think this could serve a lot of functionality towards that as well. Being able to change lighting and music on a whim, or creating presets for them, seems pretty cool to me.
Excellent. Thank you for explaining. I agree with the manufacturer though or NOT having a removable cable. Moved around, stressing the contacts, dust contamination etc. and eventually there would be more problems then its worth.
i was thinking same, apparently new version has usbc (at least its not B!)
There is a SINGLE LCD screen behind (much cheaper than OLED keys).
Is there a similar product with individual oled buttons
I'm honestly surprised you don't have more subs. This is very well done. I bought a Stream Deck XL last week, and wish you had an affiliate link for that one. You've earned my sub.
Nice one Josh! Thanks for the shout out :D
Cheers Paul! 👊
One of the best reviews about the stream deck! I just bought one for my own non-streamer setup!
thank you, this was very helpful!
How did it work out for you?
Can you use it for in game hot keys// inventory , map, ect?
Yup!
@@TechTesseract so i can make a folder for each game for example?
@@lminsideurwalls sure, also folder in a folder in a folder and so on if necessary.
Is it possible to use profiles which start automatically if I start elite dangerous for example?
@@Gloomshimmer yes it is. Edit: That´s what i´m using it for: A button Box for E:D (and other Sim-titles)
I really needed this video. THANK YOU
Thanks for making this video! Been thinking about buying one but I want to use it for more than just streaming. Excited to give it a go with video editing!
Great perspective- thanks!
Plus I like your voice... reminds me a bit on the series "IT crowd" :)
With the days untill I can setup for example my birthday and I will know how many days are left for my birthday:)
I have set the count down timer to: 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 mins, so I click for example 10 mins and an alarm goes off ones its done.
Thanks, yours was the first video that I found that was for non streamers. I found it informative.
How do you add the Task Manager to the stream deck? Specifically create a shortcut to show the CPU Usage in task manager on the Stream Deck
Please help thank you
I use mine for war thunder for gaming.
The 15-button Stream Deck Mk. II that’s out now comes with a removable, but non-braided, USB-C cable.
I am also thinking about the streamdeck /xl as a non streamer. Super interesting how others use this divice!
Forgot I had stream deck mobile yearly subscription, saw this vid in my recommendations and finally put the app to good use. It's definitely in the age of multiple zoom meetings a day, and even more so for me personally as I have a 60% keyboard. Really appreciate the helpful tips and demos!
I still want one. I feel like it would help when I work from home. Thanks for the video bro! 👊🏽
Yeah they definitely save time - Thanks for the support bro!
Juan Carmona haha, was it usefull?
Bought one on Saturday. It´s Tuesday and my life has changed.
I know this video is old but multi action is what makes Stream Deck worthwhile. It's huge.
This video was great. The best I’ve seen explaining it for non streamers
So HelpFUll With Stream OBS Scenes And Discord I LOVE IT
this thing is awesome ! i use two, 15 button and 32 button.
Looking at a picture to see what a button is doing is the opposite of using intuition though.
I am toying with the idea of using mine with an old laptop tucked away, to use with the smart home. One to turn the aquarium lights on, one to turn on outside lights, one to turn on and off heating, etc. . .
I don't stream or game - using one for work - controlling my estimating software and I also plan to setup Outlook fast actions and Excel/Work shortcuts too
Finally a straight answer with examples, great video.
Very nice, clear description of how you use the Stream Deck. Thanks for the ideas
Not sure if it's already been mentioned, but the stand actually has 4 more angles (8 total), but they are rather low. You use the smaller little stand things only :)
If your not a streamer you can still use it to unmute mute mic open up games in just a press of a button open up your media with 15 slots or you can buy one with more
Just bought this for the exact same purpose as you. Easier to access things well in a game as welll
Thanks for this vid. I was considering purchasing one of these for my adult daughter, who isn't a streamer. She had this on her Christmas wish list and I was trying to figure out why she'd want one of these.
I just ordered a stream deck XL for just ease of access to stuff and just a good alternative for a button box for sim racing and flying
so keen
Got it for discord, Autocad, and other programs I utilize. My desktop is my workstation, as well as my gaming platform; and I want to make ease of access simpler
Loving my deck already. I have it set to pull up my security cameras when I hear the chimes go off. It's surprisingly faster than the app I have on my phone.
i think this is a pretty neat shortcut extension for everyone to use IF the price is friendly, which these are absolutely not
Thanks for the video! I am considering getting one of these and this was a very helpful video :3
I can see this for a lot of functions outside streaming, basically a dashboard where you don't have to use your mouse.
Question: Does the deck detect which program you are currently using and does it change its buttons accordingly? I mean, when in Photoshop, I need other button-assignments then in MS Word, and it would be very convenient if you don't have to manually change the button-set when you switch from one program yo another.
Exactly the niche video I was looking for
I think I would wait till a V2 to get one, I'd like to see a removable type C cable and a capacitive scroll bar on the sides, that way you could have a list of commands without having to make multiple taps through folders and just scroll through instead.
Brilliant video mate, would never have thought a stream deck could be so handy!
Bro, the stream deck is cool and all but where did you get that knife / box opener from? That thing is awesome! Looks like a raptor claw
I always struggled to open a particular sheet in Google Sheets. This does it beautifully. Also really good for people with memory problems who still want to use a computer.....
Cool, helpful and honest video. Appreciate it. Shortcuts for editing is a great feature I didnt consider.
Awesome, short take on the Stream Deck, looks like a time savor for sure!
