We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️ - Розваги
What was many years ago, my wife introduced me to what she called chicken puffs. It used crescent roll dough to hold the filling which was a mixture of cooked chicken, onion, celery, and cream cheese. It was baked and served with gravy over the top. We've made modifications over the years to the filling: using flavored cream cheese(green onion is good), buffalo sauce, garlic/soy sauce/Sriracha.
Your editor deserves a raise!
(And maybe blow on your food every now and then)
You are, by FAR, the most entertaining individual on UA-cam. You know your stuff, have a wonderful sense of humor, and love your family. Who would want to watch anything else?
Yummy! Puff pastry is also great to use. It adds even more flavor and flakiness than pie crusts.
Poor Sam! He’ll never learn what happens when you put hot food in your mouth
Worth it
He paused when he felt the steam on the roof of his mouth and still went in lmao
He's a glutton for punishment
At this point it's intentional. If not then he is a idiot
Every time 😮
Max, we need another compilation video of Sam's hot food reactions set to Christmas music!! LMAO
YES!!!!!!!
Epic idea 💡
That's a fantastic idea. I'd watch it every Christmas asking with the Grinch and A Christmas Story LOL
Sam IS the Clark Griswold of food.
A+ for editing.
OMG! Ran right over to Coo Coo's Nest and bought the Chicken Pie Pop Tart w/ mashed potatoes - soooo delicious!! You guys cook so much better than I do :) Glad you're close by
Dear Chef Sam,
thank you for the recipe.
Your Fan
Jack
I wish he would do longer videos . I enjoy watching him cook .
One of my favorite things to make. I use a cookie cutter on the pie crust, cut out fun shapes, and bake it separately. Put my heated pie mixture in a soup bowl, and place the crust shapes on top.
AWESOME! You could do a curry or butter chicken pot pie, too.
So who is going to break the news to Sam that he made a Hot Pocket?😂😂😂
Came here to comment the same.
😂😂😂
Yup, was gunna say
💀
There's a hack to consider: Using long thick strips of dough, hang the strip ends over the edge of the ramekin, bake, flip it upside down thereby causing the strips to form its own deep plate as you remove the ramekin, allowing the filling to steam out thereby optional garnish or shredded cheese with a flamethrower to crispen it can be added for presentation.
OK, I like that pop tart. Looks suspiciously similar to strudel.
Another fun recipe to try
The add libs for when Sam says beautiful had me rolling!!!
Yummy! I made two chicken pot pies last night, I used the frozen pre made crusts then topped with flat crescent rolls
The pop tart idea is genius!!
Made it for the family last night, delicious! I would halve the sage as it was sage heavy flavour. ❤
These look great. I love the chicken pie tart. I'm going to make these, I will use tiny cookie cutters as well. This is such a great idea!
Make it all the time...love your ideas. ❤❤❤❤
Chicken Pot Pie ....3 of my favorite things
I am not saying they were the first to put it on a t-shirt, but I was at the Chat N Chew in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania earlier this year, and they had their t-shirt with that saying on the front. As it was the first time I had heard of it, I bought one. Good place for food too.
Yummy!!! Both of these look amazing!!
Max -- the editing on this was ... BEAUTIFUL 🤪
Great recipe! I decided to add fresh garlic during the sauté portion. Then additionally added a bit of fish sauce into it after the heavy cream. Thanks so much! Turned out amazing!
The one part of cooking that Sam could never figure out is that food is hot!
Chop chop with the longer videos Samuel we miss them lol
The poptart you call it is what you call in england a "pasty" - basically pretty much any filling slapped between two slices of dough 😊.
Keep up with the awesome food ideas!
Yeah, everyone loves a Gregg's Steakbake.
That;s just what I was thinking although it's pastry not dough.
More like a chicken slice, amirite?@@WeAreThePeople1690
Yeah - next time they’re in the U.K. Sam needs to make a trip to Greggs
Awesome recipe!! Thank you!
“Let’s get LID” Max said. Great idea!! A flavor fiesta in my mouth.
I busted out laughing at the "beautiful" replacements. I was snorting.
"If you get sick, don't tell me." -- Sam The Cooking Guy 😆
I'm definitely doing this one Sam, thank you.
We have a whole store dedicated to that “pop tart chicken”. It’s called Greggs. 😂
I would love to see your spin on Cornish Pasties
My wife gave me your Between the Buns cookbook for my birthday yesterday. I’m looking forward to trying the recipes. This looks amazing as well!👍🇨🇦
Love the music at beginning of video!
OMG!!!! Love the 'help' for beautiful.
I’m definitely going to try this. Thanks Sam!
That sounds wonderful. I can’t wait to have my daughter make this for me.
You could also make hand pies, use an empanada or calzone maker, pie crust or puff pastry. Tres easy and it should be great.
What an awesome idea. The key is still the base ingredients. Since I’ve done both beef and chicken formulas, I’m still partial to potatoes as part of the mix. It just feels like an essential that makes the filling so much better.
I have to admit I laughed at your pie covering shingles and their sloppiness, but then I marveled at the pro job you did on that chicken pot/pop tart! That thing was a work of art and I'm glad you recorded it because no one would believe me if I didn't have this episode to point to. Bravo!
I love pot pie! The pop tart is a Brazilian pastille
Yummy! Could you guys do a video on making different kinds of sushi? Especially one with yum yum sauce!
The editing is priceless lol !
Max's TWSS was perfectly placed in there!! WET PIE
"He says beautiful too much"
Nobody has ever thought that except Max.
Chicken pot and pie my three fav
I was just wondering what to do with an extra pie crust from Thanksgiving! Thanks, Sam!!
This kinda food just makes you feel all warm inside, literally and figuratively.
It’s cold, I want this 🍲
Chicken pot pie! My three favorite things!
The pop tart would have been a great munchies recipe better known as the "pot tart" many thanks from Alabama Sam and fam!
A nice slice of provolone in the pop tart would be a good thing.
I like shortcrust top and bottom best, good way to use leftover turkey, actually could you do some leftover Christmas ingredients recipes over Christmas would be really useful!
At night!!!! Yes love it!!!
The way you used cut pieces of crust to top the pies reminds me of Apple Pan Dowdy. With the apple recipe, that's done so you can "dowdy" it while its cooking. That means pressing down on the crust to let some of the juices ooze up thru the seams and carmelize on the top.
If you microwave the pie dough for 10 seconds, it will unroll much more easily 😉
Oh, and let your food cool down first, Sam!!🥵🤣
I haven’t seen a lot of deserts done on here, give 3 holiday pies with the great Sam spin, and it has to be easy…Gino in Portland, just bought the 7” knife and towels…
This looks AMAZING
Any type of pot pie listed as the title you're guaranteed to see Sam burn his mouth... Lol.
This would be great with a simple hot-water crust pastry to do a double crust. Love this!
What's that?
I used to manage the Torreyana Grille at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines and Sam would come in to film his news spots with chef Larry. Such a nice guy and the few times I got to try some food were blissful!
Made this today and it was delicious 😊
How much chicken broth did you use? I can’t find recipe
I think they are more of a hot pocket than pop tart. Pop tarts are a sweet dessert ❤ I love all of your amazing recipes 😊 thank you
i wanna say me and an aunt of mine made something similar to the pop tart but it was baked and more like an empanada
My pot pie must have a top and bottom crust!! I also make the crust from scratch!!
LOL, "1/4 cup of flour, tablespoon at a time" as you "tablespoon at a time" put the whole thing in before doing anything. Love it.
I was just at the restaurant supply store and saw the little round aluminum pans. Now I have a reason to go get some.
The heat from the pot pie is distorting the light around it. Sam: 'Hold my beer.'
O.k. you now are making my weakness... love a great Chicken Pie!
Oh and next pie of some type. You should put a big ole maple leaf 🍁 made of dough on the crust.
I'm all aboard for the patchwork dough lids, nice touch.
You should try making Miners pies.
you can also do it pastie style, just put the filling on one half of the round pie crust and fold the other half over and seal
Too cool. So many pot pie decisions. ❤❤😮
Thumbs up to the stage hand😊
Wouldn't be a Sam video without him firebombing his mouth with food that's still hot. 🤣
Sam, I think you should do your own take on roll for sandwich!
Loved this , I never really thought of making a ginormous pot pie ravioli 😅 loved it boys and of course you too Sam.
Woah…..you might be on to something here! Chicken pot pie raviolis with gravy as the sauce 🤤
Can you do a gear list of all the camera's, mics etc?
lol the overdub
I honestly can’t decide if I like the Nikiri or the Santoku better. I use both almost everyday.
I would add some sauteed criminis and fresh green peas at the end.
Delicious 😋
Try doing a Philly fully loaded rolled in a pizza
Mmm delicious 😋
my 3 favorite thing chicken pot pie
Breakfast Burrito pop tarts. Do it!
Sam invented the Chicken Pasty (or chicken bake) - I’ve been eating these in the U.K. for 40 years (but baked not fried)
In Ireland, your Pop-Tart is a chicken slice. Like a chicken and mushroom slice (for something to google)
Sam, any chance you can do a show on making your own mayo? You say the Japanese mayo is best, but I dare say you could, and should come up with something better! On your brisket episode a couple of years ago, you made your own BBQ sauce and everyone at my restaurant LOVED it when I made it! What about making your own condiments video?
Looks delicious, but I got a craving for some Raman Noodles.
You have to make PA Dutch chicken pot pie 🤪
Mmm Greggs chicken bake!
Nice!!!
Great one Sam!🤙
Steam billowing off the spoon. No Sam don't do it!
"Let them cool first, that would be the wise rhing to do."
Lol, you gotta love it😂
Sam, I love Singapore Noodles so much but they never taste the way they do in the restaurant when I make them at home. Would you make them some time so I can see your recipe? Thanks. Me and my husband have your books and love you guys?
